Eionvise Ch3
Author's Note: I actually made this chapter a really long time ago but I got super lazy. I don't really expect too many people to read this, but oh well, I'm not the BEST writer out there but I can try xP anyway enjoy!~ If you have any suggestions feel free to comment, I'm actually winging this whole entire story with no real story plot, wish me luck xD
Chapter 3
"Is that all you got?! Come on! You can do better than this, you pathetic excuse for a turtle!"
"Yes sir!" Rerue shouted as he continued to pull the half ton block with his two-hundred pound instructor sitting on it across the sunset mountain path. The block wasn't going very fast but at least the water turtle was making some progress.
Rerue was a rather skinny water turtle despite his strength. He was pretty average for a teenager his age, ignoring the fact that he could actually pull half a ton block ten miles a day. Rerue wore the usual blue Gi that all trainees were required to wear.
He also wore a blue headband with white flames painted on it. The headband made Rerue's unusually bright purple eyes radiate. It was given to him by his best friend and Rerue cherished it like his life. Rerue never took off the headband and always kept it on at all times even when he showered.
"Is this the fastest you can go?! I've seen Warp pull twice as much faster than this!" Rerue's instructor yelled at him
Damn it. It was the only thing that came to mind as soon as he heard the name Warp. Rerue quickly fell into a daze and his mind drifted onto Warp. Warp was a water gator who trained under the same instructor as Rerue. He was a little older and a little taller than Rerue, but he was unfortunately twice as strong. Warp usually wore a red Gi which made his green eyes stand out. Rerue couldn't help but to love those beautiful deep green eyes which seem to go on forever and captivated Rerue. Warp also had a muscular build which Rerue caught himself staring at whenever Warp changed. Rerue just wanted to lay with those nice strong arms and stare at Warp's beautiful eyes all day.
Rerue popped back into reality when he felt a powerful explosion at his feet. Rerue was thrown back at the force and crashed into the half ton concrete block.
"Ahh crap!" Rerue cursed rubbing his head. That HURT. He quickly checked his surroundings trying to figure out where the explosion came from and Rerue quickly found his answer as he saw that he was surrounded by mines.
They were at the mine fields, a training ground fifteen miles away from Rerue's original training spot. Rerue heard a chuckle and turned around to see his instructor laughing at him on top of the block.
"What the heck sir!" Rerue yelled at his instructor, "Why did you let me walk into the mine field?!"
"Cause, I was curious to see what would happen if I didn't stop you." The fire lion continued his uproarious laughing.
"Ugh you're so mean to me," Rerue moaned. But he had to admit, it was kind of funny.
"Okay that's enough for today. Let's head back to Kura castle now." The fire lion continued to laugh
"What about the block, sir?" Rerue questioned.
"We'll bring that back tomorrow," The fire lion instructed jumping off of the block.
"Yes sir!" Rerue responded and followed after his instructor. It was kind of hard to see in the moonlight but Rerue was use to it.
"So have you told Warp yet?" The fire lion asked, as they traveled down the rocky mountain path.Rerue thought a moment trying to figure out what his instructor was asking and.
"Tell him what sir?" Rerue sighed,
"Training's over, call me Ronan." Ronan smiled. Rerue couldn't help but smile as well. Ronan was a fire lion much taller than Rerue and was in his mid-twenties. He wore a red Gi as well and it looked great with his pure red eyes. Ronan was a pretty cool guy, except when he's teaching, than he became the living devil.
Rerue liked Ronan because he was like a father to him. Rerue grew up with extremely strict parents who had barely gave Rerue any chance of self-expression. He hated them for it too. So one day, after receiving another beating from his dad, Rerue ran away from home. He eventually reached Kura Castle by accident and met Ronan. Ronan, being one of the instructors, was able to get Rerue to stay and allowed Rerue to do what he pleased.
"So have you told Warp yet?" Ronan asked.
"Tell him what?" Rerue questioned, "Oh yeah, I haven't told him that I'm gay yet."
"Why not? You guys have been friends for years, I think he deserves to know."
"Yeah but he's so homophobic, I don't know what he'd think of me if I told him."
"If he really is your best friend, then it wouldn't make a difference to him if you gay or not."
"So what am I suppose to say? 'Hey Warp, I'm gay and I have a huge crush on you, want to go out or something?' He has a girlfriend, you know." Rerue retorted fidgeting with his fingers.
"You mean that cute lightning fox, Raime?"
"Yeah, her," Rerue sighed loudly.
"They make out every time they see each other," Rerue added in a depressed tone, "it kills me."
"Well I still think you should at least tell him how you feel. You're going to have to tell him eventually, the sooner the better."
"Yeah I guess I should but still." Rerue sighed again.
"Come on Rerue, you're already in your teenage years," Ronan started, "You're in your prime, you can do almost anything at your age. After you've become an adult, sure you'll be wiser, but you will lose almost all your strength. I still miss the days when I was a teenager. My friends and I did everything together and thinking back makes me wonder what the hell we were thinking doing some of those things. I miss those days Rerue. Every time I think back, I felt like I could have done anything and the world couldn't stop me. You need to live life to the fullest Rerue. Take your chance with Warp now, otherwise when you get older, it may be too late."
"Thanks Ronan," Rerue smiled and hugged Ronan. His soft fur felt nice. Rerue started tearing up, "Thanks a lot Ronan. You're like a father to me."
"You're welcome kid," Ronan smiled, "And don't forget, if you ever need anything or anyone to talk to, or even a shoulder to cry on, I'm here for ya."
"Thanks dad, thanks a lot," Rerue let go of the fire lion and tried to wipe the tears from his violet eyes.
"You're welcome son." Ronan couldn't help but feel proud as they finally reached Kura castle. It was late and everyone seemed to be sleeping, well except for the night guards, hopefully.
"Good night son," Ronan whispered.
"Good night dad," Rerue whispered back smiling while quietly heading toward the trainee dorms.
Rerue quietly opened the door to his dorm. He shared the dorm with Warp. They just started rooming together about three days ago when Warp's old roommate accidently died while training, but everyone was use to it. When Rerue got to the room he noticed that it was empty. Rerue pondered where Warp was but he quickly forgot about it as he became drowsy.
Rerue quickly scrambled through the messy floor of random cloths and half opened books trying to find his white pajamas. He eventually found them under a giant stack of weights. Warp worked out whenever and wherever he could, which both amazed and annoyed Rerue to no end.
Rerue quickly took his Gi and discarded them somewhere in the room. He stood there naked in the room and enjoyed the feeling. When Rerue lived with his parents, they always made him wore stuffy clothes and a huge shell since he was born. Ever since that incident, Rerue hated wearing anything more than one layer of clothing, and if possible he wouldn't wear anything, but of course that often led to awkward situations.
Quite like what happened next.
Right before Rerue could put on his pajamas, the door opened and the lights came on. Warp came in hugging Raime and then noticed Rerue who just standing there in shock...naked.
Rerue blushed furiously as he noticed Warp walk in. He tried quickly putting on his pajamas, but they got caught on his foot. Only one thought went through Rerue's mind as Warp noticed Rerue.
Oh I'm screwed...
Rerue blushed even more when Raime turned around and stared at Rerue as well. An awkward silence lingered in the air.
Rerue was the first to recover and jumped behind his bed trying to put on pajamas. Warp was next and quickly turned away and shielded his eyes.
"Oh God Rerue! Please put some clothes on!" Warp shouted, blushing furiously. He grabbed Raime and shielded her eyes.
"I'm sorry that you to see that dear," Warp told Raime and hugged her.
"It's okay Warpy," She responded giving Warp a kiss.
"Ugh," Rerue moaned quietly while still struggling to put on his pajamas. Must they make out even when he was in the room changing?
"I'll see you tomorrow dear," Warp finally said as Rerue finished putting on his pajamas.
"Okay I'll see you later Warpy, night!" Raime waved goodbye.
"Night," Warp said closing the door. Warp gave a loud sigh and turned to face Rerue who had miraculously finished changing. Rerue instantly turned away and started blushing like mad again.
"So...umm..." Rerue tried to start, but he couldn't find the words. Oh how Rerue wished he could just disappear. His best friend just and his girlfriend just saw him completely naked. Anywhere, away from this awkward situation would be like heaven to Rerue.
"So this is a bit awkward," Warp got out, still blushing from seeing Rerue naked, "I'm just going to go shower, then head to bed,"
"Umm, y-yeah!" Rerue stammered still bright red, "I guess I'll just go to bed then."
Warp walked into the bathroom and turned on the showers. Rerue sighed, he wanted to tell Warp he was gay tonight, but the whole naked thing kind of messed up his plans. Also Warp had a tendency to take extremely long showers.
Rerue jumped onto his bed and was about to drift off into a Warp-filled dream when he heard a sudden knocking at the door. Rerue tried to ignore it but whoever it was, they was persistent and wouldn't stop knocking. Rerue couldn't take it anymore and opened the door, and to his astonishment, it was Raime.
"Hey Raime," Rerue greeted with a large yawn, "Warp is in the shower,"
"It's okay, I'm not here to see Warp," Raime smiled. Rerue gave Raime a confused look.
"Huh?" Rerue asked tiredly trying to rub the sleep out of his eyes.
"I'm here to see you cutie," Raime smirked getting closer to Rerue.
"Huh? That's funny; I thought you just called me a cutie," Rerue laughed nervously hoping against everything that he had misheard Raime.
"I did, cutie," And at this point, Raime was basically touching Rerue. Rerue realized the danger and tried to move away, but Raime just kept going.
"I'm sorry, but you're Warp's girlfriend," Rerue said nervously backing into the room.
"So? What does that matter? It's only you and me right now," Raime advanced and Rerue backed up even more. Eventually Raime got Rerue cornered at the wall.
"I umm...think you should leave," Rerue squeaked nervously.
"Why should I leave when I could just stay here and enjoy that cute body of yours, if you know what I mean," Raime laughed.
"Please leave," Rerue asked in a scared tone, "you're Warps girlfriend, not mine, and no offence, but I'm not interested in you,"
"Oh shut up," and with that said, Raime kissed Rerue. Rerue was completely caught off guard. He wanted to break the kiss, he wanted to stop, but it felt so good. Rerue closed his eyes and returned the kiss passionately to Raime.
He imagined that he was kissing Warp and it felt too good. Finally, all those years of hiding from his best friend, all those years Rerue spent by himself, all the loneness that he felt, they all vanished within this one kiss. He continued his lustful kiss with Raime and he enjoyed every moment of it. I wonder if Warp is this good of a kisser, Rerue thought, no wonder they do it every time they see each other.
The kiss sent electricity throughout Rerue's body. All he felt were jolts of pleasure that surged throughout his entire body. His senses were overpowered the pure ecstasy from the kiss. Rerue could only feel bliss and he loved every moment of it. He felt like nothing could ever stop this wonderful feeling. Unfortunately he was wrong.
"Raime! What the hell are you doing?!" Warp shouted. Rerue instantly felt Raime break the kiss. Rerue, caught off guard, felt a kick to his face. He crashed into the wall with a loud thud and slumped to the floor.
"Eww! Oh my gosh get off of me you pig!" Raime screamed and jumped into Warp's arms. Rerue swore under his breath. That was the second time he crashed into a wall, and it HURT like crazy. He stood up and rubbed his head.
"Owe! What the hell was that for?!" Rerue shouted at Raime. Suddenly Rerue got tackled by Warp and was instantly pinned against the wall.
"Dude what the heck are you doing kissing MY girlfriend?!" Warp shouted. Rerue instantly turned away and tried avoiding eye contact. He could feel his face turning red.
"I didn't! I wasn't!" Rerue shouted back nervously.
"Yes you damn did! Now tell me why the hell were you kissing my girlfriend!?" Warp shouted again in his light purple pajamas and night cap. Damn he looked so cute in those pajamas, Rerue thought.
"Rerue! Tell me why the hell would you back stab me like this?!" Warp yelled at the top of his voice.
"I didn't kiss her!" Rerue shouted back, "She kissed me, I swear! I didn't even want to kiss her!"
"That's a lie, you pig!" Raime shouted, "Come on Warpy, don't believe that liar!"
"What the hell, I'm not lying Warp!" Rerue shouted desperately, "I'm your best friend, you got to believe me!"
"Oh please," Raime retorted, "Don't listen to him Warpy, he's a beast! He forced me back into the room and started making out with me like an animal!"
"You take that back! I did no such thing! You were the one knocking at the door! You just came in here and started kissing me!"
"Oh, so I just came in here knowing that Warp was there and made out with you? I don't know how dumb you think I am but I am not stupid enough to make out with my boyfriend's best friend in front of him."
"She does have a point there Rerue," Warp said giving Rerue an icy glare. Rerue felt his heart breaking.
"Please Warp, you got to believe me, I didn't do it. This headband that you gave me, it symbolizes our trust in each other. Please Warp, I'm begging you, just tell me that you believe me," Rerue pleaded. At this point Rerue was about to break down and cry trying to convince his best friend of his innocence.
"I'm sorry Rerue, but I don't believe you," Warp stated rather coldly. At that moment, Rerue's heart shattered and he broke down onto the floor crying. He had lost both his best friend and his love for him in one night. The pain he felt was unbearable..
"It's okay Warpy," Raime smirked, "He was just jealous of our love." When Rerue heard that, he started to laugh.
"What's so funny?" Raime asked starting to become scared.
"Heh heh, I guess you're right, I am jealous," Rerue sat up smiling, tears pouring out from his once bright purple eyes, "Not of you Warp, but of you Raime,"
"What are you talking about Rerue?" Warp asked in a concerned tone.
"Warp," Rerue laughed a bit still crying, "you've been my best friend for many years now, I thought I could trust you, and I'll say this. I'm gay." Warp and Raime looked completely stunned from what they just heard.
"Oh but I'm not done yet," Rerue laughed louder with a constant stream of tears flowing out, "Warp, I love you. I wanted to be more than your best friend. I wanted you to hold me when I needed you like you do Raime.
"Well I guess that's not going to happen anytime soon, since you no longer trust me. But tell me, why the hell do you trust that slut over me?" Rerue asked, practically yelling, "Why the hell do you trust her more than you trust me? We've been through hell together here, heck we even saved each other's lives a couple times, but still. Why do you love her more then you love me?" Rerue started storming out, his face overwhelmed with tears.
"Since there's no trust between us at all, then there's no point in me staying," Rerue stormed out and slammed the door behind him. Warp was about to go after him, when Raime held him back.
"You don't need him Warp," Raime tried cheering him up, "You're strong, he was only holding you back."
Warp just stood there. He just stood there staring at the blue headband on the floor with white flames painted on it.
Rerue ran out of Kura castle, his face buried in his hands full of tears. He eventually tripped on the moonlit rocky path in front of the castle. He fell face first, but he didn't care anymore. In one night, he had lost everything he had ever loved and cherished.
Rerue just laid there on the ground crying. What was the point in living anymore? He wanted to die right there and then. He had no use for his life and the pain in his heart was too much for him.
"Hey."
Who the heck is that? Rerue thought. He got up and looked. It was dark, but he could make out that the stranger was a light gecko. That's odd, he thought, there weren't any light geckos in the area.
"Hey," Rerue replied weakly rubbing the tears out of his eyes. Suddenly the light gecko hugged him. Rerue was caught off guard, but he liked the feeling. Rerue hugged back and started crying some more.
"It's okay," the light gecko spoke gently, "Just let it all out, just let it all out. There's no need to worry anymore. I'm here now, and I will be your new friend, Rerue."
Rerue didn't know how the light gecko knew his name, but he didn't care, he needed a shoulder to cry on. Rerue continued hugging the light gecko and crying on his shoulder, and eventually cried himself to sleep.
The light gecko gave a little smirk when he noticed that Rerue fell unconscious. Gaining Rerue's trust was easier than expected.
