Forbidden Blood
Chapter 1
Life among the wolf tribe was much tense already with the fox tribe nearby in forest. Occasionally there would be fights among them but mostly because this particular fox tribe was the ones who would provoke the wolf tribe by either insulting them or other ways. The fox tribe had always hated those who were not their own kind and refused any kind of civilized talk between any other species since any other species were regarded, in their own eyes, weak.
Although one arctic fox among them, thought very much differently about other species and especially those in the wolf tribe. During the nights she would sneak into the forest to watch on the wolves. She found herself become more and more interested in their doings. She always kept this little interest locked in her mind because she knew they would consider her weak.
Those thoughts of being weak soon fades as the months drew by as she found herself closer and closer towards the wolf tribe. Soon she became careless and had gone too close because it wasn't long until she was found hidden behind a tree by a male arctic wolf, who had noticed her on the night before.
"What are you doing here," said the arctic wolf in a curious tone.
Her heart almost stopped in its tracks when she heard someone's voice behind her. She turned around slowly and looked at the arctic wolf dead in the eyes. She immediately threw herself to his feet and started to beg.
"P-Please...," she begged and cried as she looked up to him. "I b-beg you, don't kill me! I-I-I was just curious! I swear I haven't done anything! Please let me go..."
The wolf simply stood there scratching the back of his neck wondering why she thinks he would kill her for anything. He hadn't noticed at first but the more she looked at her, the more he would find himself admiring such a beautiful arctic fox.
"Uhm... I... I'm not going to kill you. You're... free to go as you wish."
The fox looked up as she was surprised by his response to her trespassing on their grounds. She immediately got up and started to run away but stopped only no more than 20 feet away as she turned around to look back at him, seeing him just stand there with his head tilted curiously towards her. Like the wolf, she had just noticed how handsome the arctic wolf was. She walked back towards him but still keeping her distance.
"You're... not going to tell my people that I've been here?"
"No... why should I? You should go before your kind find you here talking to me."
"I... I don't get it. Why are you being so nice to me?"
"Please go before you're spotted here."
The fox was left confused with so many questions in her mind but she knew he was right and started to run back towards her tribe. The wolf watched her disappear into the darkness and smiled as he walked back, his mind filled with thoughts on how pretty she is for a fox. Although he reminded himself that he cannot let his guard down for any reason to protect his tribe.
He returned back to his tribe, where he was met with the leader asking if she was back again, to which he nodded in response. "I don't think she'll be returning back but I think her curiosity may get the best of her," the wolf suggested. The leader nodded as he made a few thoughts, "If only her kind was as curious as she is towards peace." The leader went back into his small home and so did the young wolf.
The fox soon returned home and indeed just made it in time to get herself back to bed before anyone discovered she had gone somewhere. Although for the rest of the night, the fox and wolf had thoughts of each other, not being able to concentrate on sleeping but both eventually managed to get some sleep.
Many days and nights went by she began to make regular nightly visits to her newfound friend which soon would grow beyond friendship. She had to keep this meeting extremely secret, otherwise she would be caught and probably killed for just mingling with the wolves. Both had been exchanging thoughts about one another throughout this time and it wasn't until one month later that they shared a very intimate night.
After that night, he wanted to introduce her to his own kind, to which she was frightened about at first but knew there was nothing to fear about. The wolf tribe welcomed her into their clan without any sort of problems whatsoever. It was always the nature of the wolves to bring peace anyway possible.
By the time she couldn't return anymore and had to keep herself hidden from view in case her kind came out to look for her. She stayed with her new mate inside his home. It wasn't long until the couple found out that she was now pregnant with his pup and knew they wouldn't be able to hide much longer. Although her mate promised her that she would protect her at all costs, and thus he did.
