#4 of Jason Wolfe: Transcendence

**Chapter 4: Not Exactly According to Plan...

Skyview Apartments, Apartment 6**

Relationships weren't about sex but it was certainly sweet fringe benefit.

Jason woke up from his usual nightmare of walking down the aisle in a wedding dress and being called a bride but, frankly, he was no longer that concerned because Brett stopped calling him 'bride'. They were now 'mated' and Brett said as much.

Everyone else, however...

He opened his eyes to the morning sun dancing through the windows. It was time for him to attend classes again. As much as he was tempted to just lie in bed with Brett all day, he knew his mate wouldn't have any of it. Brett was a stickler for getting to classes on time and getting a proper education.

Hell, he could already smell blueberry waffled cooking in the kitchen and the TV reporting on the latest disappearance. With a sigh, he slowly rolled onto his side and ran a hand through the small indentation Brett made on the mattress... and where their combined cum had sort of hardened and formed a mould around that form.

There were still a lot of things he had to work out, a lot of questions he needed answering and definitely a lot more of his emotions settled.

However, he was comfortable with Brett having been a former porn star... especially when the motivation behind that action was to be with him. It was a little romantic that Brett - great, perfect, clean Brett - had allowed himself to be sullied by others just to be closer to the Jason.

With a groan, Jason pulled himself from the bed, wincing slightly as the dried semen stuck to his fur and the sheets. He stretched and pulled his discarded underwear back on, wiggling his tail through the hole.

Last night had been perfect... well... Not entirely perfect but very close.

Sure he and Brett had a little bit of a heated discussion but they got their revenge of David and they were in the clear! He did not relish returning to Robin's gloomy, snappy, cut-throat bitch demeanour but he realised he would rather have Robin be sad than happy with a guy who was using her.

Which was weird.

"Oh my god... Robin is actually your friend!" Optimist exclaimed. He hugged Jason's cheek lovingly. "Oooh! Our little pup is growing up!"

"Firstly," Pessimist said, lifting a finger, "you must really be crazy thinking Robin is anything more than a convenient acquaintance. Secondly... Dude, your subconscious is proud of you! That's creepy!"

...

They all turned to Horndog who just sat there, staring back at them.

"What?" the dildo-gun-wielding lupine said. "I don't have anything to say! This is about Robin. A girl. You're gay!"

Jason shrugged.

Fair enough...

He followed the delicious smell of his favourite breakfast out of the bedroom right into the kitchen.

Brett should've been in the kitchen cooking those waffles.

He wasn't.

Robin was.

"Robin!?" he stammered.

Brett was lounging about the couch as he always was, watching TV.

"Good morning, Jason," Robin replied, smiling cheerily.

Okay... If the world ends now, I'll at least have advance warning.

She pulled away from the waffle maker and set down a large heap of blueberry waffles on the kitchen table. Jason was struck by just how radiant she was. Her purple eyes were glimmering with amethysts and he wasn't sure if it was just the sun's rays cascading through the blinds but skin was practically like perfect porcelain.

If he was just meeting her for the first time, he would never have guessed she was a cold, up-tight, emotionless ice queen.

Okay... So either Dave hasn't set her down yet...

... Or she's poisoned the waffles.

"Yeah..." he began and noted that there were four places set for them. "Are we expecting anyone?"

"David will be joining us for breakfast."

Those images of Brett telling him they'd be together forever with a crazy look in his eyes was replaced by another horrifying vision. The four of them sitting around the table then David telling Robin that because of Jason and Brett screwing him last night, he realised he was gay and that he was leaving her. Robin would calmly pick up her spoon and then stab Jason to death... with a spoon.

"I'm not really that hungry..." he murmured.

"Nonsense," Robin answered, pushing him into one of the seats. "Blueberry waffles are your favourite! It's why I made them for you!"

Scratch that last vivid imagery.

This time, David would confess Jason and Brett had turned him gay and Robin with smirk, replying that she already knew. At that moment, the poison would kick in the waffles and everyone at the dining table - apart from Robin - would fall over dead.

Oh god...

"Erm..."

"That's really nice of you, Robin," Brett said, leaping up from the couch with a big grin on his face. "What's the occasion?"

"David asked me to go clubbing with him this evening," Robin answered just as a knock came to the door. "Some club down town called 'Club Sea4'."

Jason froze.

Oh no...

Is that how he's planning on telling her!?

By taking her into a gay nightclub!?

Brett seemed to share the same thought as they exchanged horrified glances. Robin answered the door and gave a delighted cry of joy as she threw her arms around David's neck. The jaguar looked genuinely happy, the perfect mask of a man in a stable relationship.

It had only been a few hours and with that invitation into Sea4, Jason guessed that was where David was going to confess to Robin about his true orientation. Still, he didn't want to be anywhere in the blast zone... especially if it was revealed that he and Brett knew and didn't say anything.

More than anything, he feared Robin would get hurt.

"Are you sure it's Robin you're concerned about?" Pessimist asked. "Are you sure this isn't more about payback against David?"

Truthfully... He wasn't sure.

Robin seemed so happy... Was it worth keeping her that happy even if the source of her happiness was a big lie?

No... The truth has to known.

If there's anything I've learned, it's that the longer a lie is kept, the more it'll hurt when the truth comes out.

"Robin -"

Brett seized his hand and shook his head firmly.

"Hey guys!" David greeted, waving cheerily.

"Come on in, David," Robin giggled, pulling the jaguar inside the apartment. "I made breakfast."

Sniffing the air, David grinned and said, "Yum! Blueberry waffles!"

The two sat on the opposite end of to Brett and Jason.

Jason was fighting to keep the smile on his face as they sat down to breakfast still only wearing last night's underwear and with dried cum sticking to his fur. Brett had already taken a shower so he smelled like spring again while Jason stank like Rottweiler, wolf, jaguar and sex.

He barely touched his waffles, waiting for the moment when David would press the button that would initiate the Robin-geddon and bring about the wrath of all Hell upon Jason and Brett. The one and only bite he took from his waffles he kept in his mouth, savouring the taste for well over five minutes while thinking it would be his last meal ever.

Robin never took her glowing eyes away from David who returned her admiring gaze with his own mask of joy. It was clear it was a mask, however. Even Jason could see that. It was in his body language. The way his shoulders were slouched and he was sitting away from Robin.

The suspense was killing him.

"So," Brett began making Jason give a little 'eep' of surprise, "how'd you two meet anyway? We haven't heard the story."

"It is actually quite interesting," Robin replied, slicing at her waffles with a fork.

Wow... that's a sharp fork...

"It was right after Descent while we were doing the clean up in New Hope City," Robin continued. "David is actually doing a journalism degree here in Newroads while doing an internship was the Roadside Bugle. They sent him over to New Hope City to cover Kevin's press release."

She beamed, regarding David adoringly. "And he decided to ambush me."

"Ambush you?" Brett repeated.

"I wasn't allowed anywhere near the 'real heroes'," David responded, rolling his eyes. "All the credit went to people like Warhorse, Ankh and the Blue Wolf. I don't see why you guys didn't just step up and tell everyone what happened."

"We tried to," Robin said, shaking her head sadly. "More than anything, I hate deception."

Swish!

Jason just felt like a knife had been embedded into his back.

"The problem that existed was that we were small-time superheroes defending a city that was already covered by three great Justice Guards," she continued. "No one believed that a girl with a sniper rifle and the ability to alter people's attention, a former lawyer of the Justice Guard, a budding psychology major and Jason played a part in saving the world."

Swish!

Another stab to the back... this time at the fact that Jason couldn't describe him any further than just 'Jason'.

"The news reported you guys as just 'kids being in the right place at the right time'," David said. "They said that Brett was there to help the Blue Wolf fight off the corrupt Riley Guards. You, Jason and Jason's father were just bystanders who tried to save Kevin Riley but failed. All the glory went to the mysterious superhero who covered all of New Hope City in ice and devastated all of Riley's troops."

Jason shuddered at that memory, dislodging the imaginary knifes embedded into him.

R3 has played a crucial role in stopping Descent from destroying Enria's order and stability. He hadn't been there but he heard from Brett - who had lost his hand at the event but had it repaired thanks to Dan, Jason's father - that R3 had fought through the streets of New Hope City with frightening powers. Countless bodies lay at the No One's feet and it had been R3 who had led Brett to the gravity-altering Force Cannon so the Rottweiler could slow the descent of the orbital space station of the superheroes, Reprieve. Additionally, it had been R3 who had basically made all of New Hope City an iceberg to prevent the heat from re-entry to destroy Reprieve and save those inside it.

He had vanished after the event but he was given the glory of playing a major role in saving the world.

Of course, he still visited Jason but he was never in the public's view.

"They called him 'Weapons Master'," David said, looking distantly out the window. "Apparently, he wielded so many magical weapons... A sword of darkness and a sword of light. A flaming blade, an icy spear, gauntlets that could cleave the earth, a bow imbued with the ferocity of the winds, a mace to call down lightning and a staff that controlled water itself." The jaguar shook his head. "You know the remaining supers are looking for him right?"

Jason went rigid and broke out of his stunned silence. "They are?"

David nodded grimly, his bright mask fading. "They don't want to admit it but they're afraid of him. Think about it, supers generally get one or two powers. A third maybe but it's normally a fusion of their first two powers. Weapons Master didn't just have one or two. He had countless weapons. Do you know what happened when the Riley Guards pulled the tanks on him?"

Jason did. He had written his final paper for Social Sciences back in High School on it.

"Yeah... Two dozen tanks came rolling in from the plains surrounding New Hope City. Weapons Master met them and this massive door opened behind him. Through that door, those that survived could see millions of weapons. Billions, they claim."

Nodding, David said, "If every one of those weapons were as powerful as the ones he used..."

That made everyone around the table shudder.

There was a reason R3 was the most powerful No One in existence...

"Hey! We're getting sidetracked!" Brett said, kicking Jason underneath the table slightly. "So spill it guys! Did you click immediately?"

Robin blushed... actually blushed! "Unfortunately, no. I saw him as yet another parasite of the media. Looking to slander perfectly honest and hardworking men and women. But he was persistent. On our last night in New Hope City, he actually invited me to dinner." She rolled her eyes but the smile on her face was genuine and bright. "I thought it was just a shallow attempt to convince me to give him the story he wanted."

"It was," David chuckled. "And it worked!"

"He took me to a rather moderately funded seafood restaurant. Of course I had no idea it was a seafood restaurant and I am allergic to shrimp..."

"You are?" Jason exclaimed, utterly surprised.

There go my Garlic Prawns...

"I am," Robin replied with a shrug.

She continued her story unfazed, blowing Jason's expectations of a snappy come-back or some comment on how, despite the fact they were living together, they really didn't know each other.

And despite being 'friends' for several years, they were really complete strangers.

"Of course, I refused to go any further than the front door," Robin said, waving absently. "And then he decides to stalk me all the way back to where we were staying, insisting on that dinner. I am still unsure how he discovered I lived in Newroads but he found me here and invited me out to dinner once more." She smiled faintly at David. "Despite the age different, we have been together since that time."

Thwack!

This time, it was an imaginary rusty cleaver that buried itself into Jason's back.

David had been together with Robin for nearly three years and the jaguar had yet to tell her he was bisexual!

Another thought...

David and Robin have been together for nearly three years and I didn't notice it...

Thwack!

Another imaginary rusty cleaver.

If I had known Robin better, I could've prevented this...

Thwack!

... If I had stopped believing she was some snobby, cold-hearted bitch she might actually be my friend...

Thwack!

... and if I had been her friend, I would've interfered in this... stopping this from digging deeper and only increasing the potential damage if and when she finds out!

Thwack!

"Will you stop that!?" Optimist shouted, hitting Pessimist with his Flying Frozen Tuna of Death.

"Why?" the latter responded, holding up one last rusty cleaver. "He's about to get to the best part!"

...

If I had stopped this... Brett and I wouldn't have fought.

Thwa - CLANG!

Jason sat up slightly. Pessimist had thrown the rusty cleaver but a large, rubber dildo had hit it in midair and knocked it aside.

Wha...?

"But," Horndog said, cocking his Dildo Chaingun of Penetration, "if none of that happened, then Brett would still be keeping the fact he was a porn star away from you and it would've only hurt more when it came out."

He glanced at his hormonal side and wondered how - and why - that part of him suddenly decided to be rather insightful.

"What? Can't I be insightful?"

Honestly? No.

Horndog rolled his eyes. "Fine. I was thinking about the hot make-ups sex you had last night and the fact that you two ploughed into that kitty! POW!"

Jason smirked slightly and turned back to Robin and David. That's better...

"I hear you two are going clubbing tonight," Brett said, grinning now. "First time, Robin?"

"Yes," she answered with a nod. She reached over to David and held his hand tightly. "I will admit, I am a bit apprehensive but I am sure with David there, I will see this through."

Damn... She really does care about him, doesn't she...?

"I hope you two have fun!" Brett replied, wrapping an arm around Jason. "The two of us have been to Sea4 before! It's great!"

Wait!

What is he doing!?

"He's hinting," Optimist said, rubbing his chin thoughtfully. "If the two of you go there... then it might be enough of a hint that it's a gay bar."

"I shall take that as a seal of approval then!" Robin said, beaming brightly.

Oh boy... This is going to be tough.

Once breakfast was done Robin cheerily washed the dishes, leaving both Jason and Brett with David. Not a word was said until it was time to leave for their classes. David was going to drive Robin all the way to her college since he had finished his degree and was now working full-time for the Roadside Bugle. Apparently, he was doing a story on how the Blue Wolf - Chris Thornton - was really trying to crack down on mob and gang activity in Newroads.

"You think he'll tell her tonight as Sea4?" Jason asked, as he hopped into the driver's seat.

"That's what I'm afraid of," Brett admitted, also sliding into the car. "It isn't exactly a 'gentle way' of telling her."

"Maybe we should just tell her..."

"If we do decide that, I'll tell her and you be my meatshield."

He regarded Brett sourly. "Thanks, honey."

Grinning Brett merely buckled up and waited for him to start the car as they drove to Skyscape University. The looming question of what the night will hold still hung over their heads. As much as they wanted David out of their lives, Robin was so happy with him that it seemed incredibly unfair that they should deprive her of that happiness because of their discomfort.

Sure he was lying to her but was the truth better than the lie?

"Think about it," Pessimist muttered, "the one guy that comes up to her and she has any sort of relationship with ends up being bi and preferring guys over her! That's gotta hurt like hell!"

"Especially her two friends," Optimist winced. "It may not have been such a good idea to force David's hand in this..."

Jason was starting to realise that...

"Hey Brett... Do you think it was a good idea that we're forcing David to break Robin's heart just to solve our problem?"

"I'm starting to wonder that myself," Brett answered worriedly. "David is expecting us to fold, however. He's expecting us to stop him before he tells Robin everything so that we'll be put in the situation of either telling us herself or not telling her at all thus keeping the charade going."

"What? He wouldn't... Would he...?"

Brett shook his head. "I don't know, Jase... The thing is, we both know that taking her to a gay club is hardly a nice way of saying 'I'm bi and you're not the only person for me'."

"Yeah... So what do we do?"

"The only thing we can do," Brett said with a faint wince. "I don't want to see Robin hurt and I know it'll hurt a lot less if she gets it from him instead of us. We told him to let her down easy... but we never said when or how... Even if we use the photos against him, he knows we'll never expose him to Robin ourselves... He called our bluff. He's got us, Jase...

"We'll have to tell him not to take her to Sea4..."

****

Jason found it hard to focus on his class. As the professor went on about molecular engineering and the future of creating different substances for various purposes, he was constantly thinking about how David had played them...

... again.

That jaguar was once again a wedge between him and someone he cared about!

And he wasn't afraid to admit he cared about Robin either... Just ashamed that he cared about her but didn't really know her.

"It seems to me that you are focusing on the wrong person."

Jason jumped in his seat. "GAH!"

"Is there a problem, Mr. Reaper?" the professor asked from the front of the room.

Damn straight there's a problem!

A No One was hovering right beside him and no one else could see!

"N - No, sir," he stammered. "Just... Just a little distracted."

"Try to pay attention. This will be on the exam."

"Y - Yes sir."

Jason hunkered down close to his desk, trying to ignore the floating serpentine creature beside him.

K12 the Karmic was the No One who governed Change. She appeared as a long, snake-like figure with her legs fusing into three long, slithering tails. Her scales were metallic silver and almost mirror-like. Thick, black, plate armour covered her torso but left her arms exposed. Unlike other No Ones, K12 didn't have anything concealing her features directly - at least Jason didn't think so.

With her, just trying to look at her face was made impossible because you would always get distracted somehow. It was like every time anyone tried to regard her, their eyes would be averted elsewhere despite their best efforts.

"What do you want?" he whispered sharply.

"This is about your current situation with Robin and David," K12 responded. "Put simply you are concerning yourself with how your actions will affect you. While you claim you care for Robin and how events will affect her, you are still selfishly concerning yourself with how it will affect you."

"No I'm not," he growled back as softly as possible.

"How can you say that when you clearly do not know Robin at all?"

He shot her a sharp stare and quickly looked away. She was hovering right in front of the guy sitting beside him and no doubt, the poor fellow though Jason was giving him a death-stare. "I know I don't know her. I know I don't have the right to call her a friend or interfere in her life but this is only going to get worse if I don't do anything about it!"

"What do you intend to do then?"

"I have to force David to come clean. She'll never believe me if I say something and David is calling our bluff. He's not going to back off."

"Interesting..."

"What?" he snapped.

"Mr. Reaper!" the professor snapped.

"Sorry!" he said, waving absently. "Just... Sorry..."

"You hope to act on behalf of Robin, correct?"

"Of course. If she knows about this, she'll be devastated!"

"How can you claim that when you barely know her?"

...

"You see, you and David will be caught in an infinite look of karmic retribution if this continues," K12 said sagely. "You will constantly fight him, hoping to keep him away from hurting Robin while he languishes in her company. You frustrate him constantly with your meddling but he frustrates you the longer he is with Robin and goes unpunished. But you are avoiding the one person who you should be talking to."

Jason sat up.

The answer was so simple that no Flaming Frying Pan of Doom or Flying Frozen Tuna of Death would've knocked it into him.

He didn't even want to think about the Dildo Chain-gun of Penetration.

This wasn't the time for that.

"Robin..."

****

Jason skipped the rest of the school day and told Brett that he had to visit his father, Dan.

Just going up to Robin and demanding to know everything about her would seem suspicious and he needed some time to first gather some information about her. It felt a little underhanded to be going behind her back but he resolved it wasn't really slinking around to get to know her.

He was just catching up on what he should've figured out all those years ago.

Yeah... that's it.

He drove up to the same house he had lived in for a small portion of his life but he felt would always be his home. The Wolfe residence was a quaint, double-storey house that was every definition of the 'white picket fence' scenario structure-wise. No one would really have guessed that gay men lived in the house let alone a father and a son who madly loved one another. Not 'in love' but loved nonetheless.

Jason was a little giddy to see his dad again and as he drove up the driveway, he realised just how much he missed his father. Sure they had started off on a rocky ledge over a bottomless pit of despair and hatred but now they had circumvented that and were closer than ever.

Closer, perhaps, than a father and son should.

Then again, they weren't any normal father and son.

He eagerly dashed up to the front door and rang the doorbell. Part of him guessed that the Blue Wolf - Chris - would answer the door. Dan and Chris had been spending a lot of time together and it had surprised Jason that neither man had proposed yet. The two had been lovers when Dan was the Blue Wolf's lawyer and that spark had rekindled over the years.

The door opened.

Dan was there in just a bathrobe with chocolate ice cream stains.

"Dad?" Jason asked, eyebrows raised.

"Jason," Dan replied a little surprised. "What are you doing here? Don't you have classes?"

Dan Wolfe was a bigger, more muscular and taller version of Jason in many senses. Dan had the body of a god - he was a god in a sense - and that always left Jason a little envious. However, Dan was showing the signs of aging. The hair at his temples were grey and there was a small smudge of grey fur across his muzzle. He was well past seven feet tall when Jason was just touched it. Dan also sported a red, vertical scar across his left eye. While the eye worked, the scar never healed.

"I just needed to talk," Jason answered. He was about to add, 'About Robin' but decided that Dan needed more attention than his friend.

He had seen enough daytime dramas to know that Dan just went through a rough patch.

"You heard, huh?" Dan murmured softly, stepping aside to allow his son through. "Didn't think news travelled that fast."

"When you've got the gods hovering over your shoulder, it's easy to hear things," Jason bluffed. He had a good inkling what had happened.

"Right... Who visited you this time?"

"K12," he replied, not entirely lying.

"The Karmic..." Dan murmured, shutting the door and heading towards the all-too-familiar lounge room. The big, black-furred wolf sat on the ever-present couch. The same couch that Jason first fully confirmed he was gay... with Connor.

Jason was hesitant to touch the couch but sat down right beside his dad when he saw the bucket of melting ice cream sitting on the coffee table.

"You wanna tell me what happened?" he offered.

"Didn't they already tell you?" Dan answered bitterly, unable to meet Jason's gaze with the same sapphire-blue eyes his son had inherited.

"It's still better if you tell me."

Huh... I think I might get this bluffing thing down...

Dan shook his head and sat back, gazing at the ceiling. Tears were starting to build in his bloodshot eyes. It didn't look like he had slept all of last night either.

"Chris was out all of last night," the bigger wolf said. "We had dinner planned. Going to the city to a Three Hat restaurant... But he had another 'break' in the mob case..." He added the last sentence with a lot of bitterness. "He's been obsessed with them ever since Maximillian Devries was released from prison."

"Wasn't Chris the one that put him there in the first place?" Jason asked.

"Yeah... He was."

Devries' base of operations was solely in Newroads and that was a commonly known fact. However, no matter how many times he was convicted, the charges were always dropped. Either he let his patsies take the fall or he managed to frame the officer that brought him in on some technicality. Despite everyone knowing where he lived and where his base was, he continued to work in Newroads. Many thought it was Devries flaunting his invulnerability against the law.

No one could touch him.

Not even the supers who worked with the law.

When Chris finally found evidence to up him in jail, everyone thought it would be the end of Devries' drug and weapons smuggling. Not to mention the extortion, blackmail and a mess of other things everyone knew he was guilty of but no one could prove.

And then Devries was released.

Jason understood why Chris would be so obsessed with getting rid of the mob.

"He went out trying to stop some drug smuggling run and totally forgot about our date..." Dan let out a cry of frustration, clutching his head in both hands. "I thought that because he doesn't have to be the Blue Wolf anymore we can spend more time together! But now it's like he's away more than ever! I'm lucky if I see him for an hour each day!"

What...?

Chris was living with Dan now...

How was it possible...?

"Don't you two...?"

Dan rolled his eyes and shook his head sadly. "Barely anymore... He's always too tired from work or I have to get up early in the morning and we don't have time for it. We sleep in the same bed but that's hardly means anything when there's no communication."

Chris was working with the Newroads Police technically as a detective but also their front-line defence against crime. He was paid well.

"Sex isn't everything..." Jason murmured softly.

"It isn't the sex, Jason. It's just..." Dan sighed heavily, shaking his head. "Just like a wall has been put up between us and it hurts that he doesn't even realise it."

Wow... I never knew it was so hard back here...

... I always thought dad and Chris would be the 'happily ever after' types...

... But I guess no one is perfect...

"I'm sorry, dad..." he began softly. "I don't know what to say..."

Dan put on a brave smile and wrapped an arm around his shoulder, sniffling slightly and wiping his nose. "Aw... Don't worry. Your old man has been through a lot worse. A lot worse. Being a No One is hard you know. I've 'died' more times than there are stars in the sky."

Jason regarded his father curiously. "Huh... You don't say..."

The big wolf rolled his eyes. "Trust me, not all of them were very nice. I've probably died from someone killing me out of malice 75% of the time. 20% of the time it's because of old age or mercy killings."

"What's the last 5%?"

"By accident."

Jason wasn't sure why but he just found that funny and began laughing. Just imagining the big wolf getting killed 'by accident' and the perpetration going, 'Whoops' was just an amusing image.

Dan was laughing too.

Which was good.

"Anyway, you didn't come here to hear me ramble," Dan said, smiling. It was a genuine smile. He wasn't hiding anything. But he certainly wasn't hiding the pain in his eyes either. "So what did you come here to talk about?"

Oh right! Robin!

"Well, you see -"

CLANG!

Pessimist and Optimist both hit him with their weapons.

"Are you completely heartless!?" they shouted in unison.

"Your dad is crying damnit!" Optimist shouted. "When was the last time you saw him cry!?"

Pessimist hit him again. "He needs you! Don't talk about Robin!"

"... I was curious," Jason said, thinking quickly. "How'd you start off?"

Dan's eyebrows shot up. "Huh? What do you mean?"

Jason was thinking fast but his lips were moving faster. "I mean... You had to start somewhere, right? You weren't born a No One. No one is. R3 said that No Ones are just people who deserved to write their own stories but decided to help him out instead. So how'd you end up finishing your story?"

Dan winced and shook his head. "Jase, you don't want to hear about that..."

Again, mouth faster than mind. "But I do." He sat up attentively. "Come on, dad. I wanna know more about you. It feels like it's been ages since we sat together and talked."

Maybe because it has been ages...

Dad came back to be with me, to raise me... and then first opportunity I get, I move in my with fiancé and leave him...

He risked a lot coming for me...

... and just like Robin, I barely know him.

"You're gonna regret this..." Dan said, smiling shakily. "It's barely a good story..."

"It's your story. That's good enough for me."

Dan chuckled and held Jason a little tighter. There was just something right about being so close to his father and Jason returned to compliment by wrapping his arm around Dan's enormous back.

"Alright... Will you believe that I was actually a soldier when this all began?"

"Really?" he asked, smirking. "A soldier turned god turned lawyer-slash-father? Wow."

"I know," Dan sniggered. "Lame. Well... I was based in a universe that was essentially shattered into different elements. You know, elements like Water, Wind, Fire, Earth and so forth. There was one primary world, Eden, where all of us lived but holding up the world - effectively stabilising it - were the Fifteen Elemental Pillars, each Pillar representing one of the elements."

Fifteen...?

"What were the elements?" he asked.

Dan began ticking off the elements with his fingers. "Let's see... Wind, Water, Fire, Earth, Light, Darkness, Shadow, Electricity, Metal, Sound" - he ran out of fingers and began bobbing his head from side to side - "Psychic, Flesh, Chaos, Divine and Time."

"Wow... Trippy."

That brought a chuckle from his father. "Yeah. It gave me a headache. It's why I was a grunt. But the thing is, there was this terrible evil force of destruction, Omegzeta, that was trying to destroy the Elemental Pillars. See, each Pillar is actually a totally different world in itself that is based entirely on the element that it represents. The Creator decided that the best way to defend his greatest creation, Eden, was with creation itself. So long as there continued to be life in the Elemental Pillars, Omegzeta could not get to Eden.

"So Omegzeta sought to destroy the Pillars. The people of Eden knew this and so they built the Arks, vessels that could enter the Pillars and stop Omegzeta's troops, the Fallen. I was an ADAM, an Ark Defence and Assault Marine."

Jason was completely captivated. This was another world his father was talking about, his father's original home. He wanted to know everything about it not only because this was the first time he was hearing about another reality but because it was his father's story.

He wanted to know everything about Dan Wolfe.

"Why'd you choose to be an ADAM?"

"You don't choose to be an ADAM, Jason," Dan answered. "Everyone on Eden was really religious. There were weapons known as 'Virtues' that were said to be gifts from the Creator meant to help defend the Pillars. At every person's eighteenth birthday, they are sent to the grand cathedral to stand in the presence of all the Virtues given to the Church by the Creator. If the Virtue reacts, it has chosen you and you become an EVE, an Elemental Virtue Enforcer, the elite of the elite. I wasn't so lucky so I instantly became an ADAM."

That's not fair!

Everyone should get to choose their paths!

R3 said so!

He recalled R3's words.

'Destiny is the path carved in the sand by others, Fate is the path you carve for yourself and freewill is the power to choose which path to take.'

"That sucks..."

Dan chuckled.

"Yeah. But my best friend, Andrew Starwarden made it. He was human, though."

"Oh... So he became an EVE?"

"One of the best," Dan said, his eyes alight with admiration. "They called him 'The Blades of God' because unlike other EVEs, fifteen Virtues reacted to him."

"Is that good...?"

"It was amazing," Dan replied, grinning now. "He had the potential to be the most powerful EVE of all time..." Then Dan's grin faded slightly. "We were part of his company. The ADAMs assigned to guard him. One of the most powerful EVEs ever... I was honoured. He was great, Jason. An amazing leader, brilliant tactical mind... insane fighting skills. All fifteen of his Virtues were some sort of sword and they would always fly around him like crazy, ripping Fallen to ribbons...

"Then he died."

Jason started. "What?"

"To this day, I blame myself for that..." Dan murmured, averting his gaze. "We were pinned down by Fallen at a base high in the mountains... He told me to guard the hanger while he went down to cut off the Fallen. I was an idiot and went after him. I ended up running into a full company of Fallen troopers. Andy jumped in and saved me... but ended up getting killed instead. Had so many bullet holes in him that they couldn't recognise him anymore...I barely made it out alive despite his sacrifice. That's how I got this."

Dan ran a hand over the scar over his left eye.

Whoa... No way...

Dan hung his head. "I was the first ever ADAM to be discharged from duty... I don't know how long I just sat there depressed and mourning over him but then this guy in white and gold armour with a black cloak and his face hidden comes up to me and offers me a coat to warm me in the rain."

Jason groaned and pulled away from his dad slightly. "Oh no..."

Chuckling, Dan said, "Yep. R3. Told me that I had to move on. It's what Andy would've wanted. I went on some spiel about how he couldn't possible know what Andy wanted but, and I still don't know how he did this, he just talked to me and somehow convinced me that he was right. So... I took the coat and tried to get back into the ADAMs. I was refused of course. I was about to get depressed again when R3 brings in this custom-built Ark and tells me that I have to start building my own team, getting into the Elemental Pillars and doing what not even the ADAMs and EVEs can do.

"Over the course of many years, I built that team. Me and six others went into each of the Elemental Pillars and fought Omegzeta and the Fallen on our own terms. It actually turned out that the Generals - the leaders of the ADAMs and EVEs, were corrupt and were trying to actually bring back the Creator by sacrificing everyone in the Pillars."

"What!?" Jason exclaimed, sitting back in horror. "But wouldn't that unleash Omegzeta!?"

"It would," Dan said with a nod. "But everyone in Eden thought that they will be spared. They're 'the chosen ones' and when the Creator comes, they'll be welcomed into heaven or something like that. We brought down the Generals and we told everyone what was happening. A war started where everyone from the Pillars rallied with us to get to Eden. We won."

Judging from the look on Dan's face, that wasn't a good thing.

"But...?" Jason prompted.

"Well..." Dan said with a slight wince. "Remember how I told you that Omegzeta is held back as long as there's life in the Pillars? When we won the war... Everyone was in Eden... not the pillars..."

"You're kidding me..."

"Yeah..." Dan muttered, rubbing the back of his head. "We... We unleashed Omegzeta. A lot of people died. Our reality was almost completely consumed by destruction and I was on the verge of losing hope again... Then I remembered Andy... and everything I had done. I took a hold of my own destiny and wrote my own story. I defied my upbringing, what the Church said and stopped following what everyone else was doing and carved my own path in the road.

"I wasn't about to stop and I stood up against Omegzeta."

Dan stopped.

...

What!?

Don't stop there!

"Then what happened?" Jason pleaded eagerly.

"Then... I died."

Jason's jaw dropped.

"What!?"

Dan smirked at him. "Come on, I'm not going to tell you the ending just like that!" He poked Jason's nose. "Not that easily, anyway."

"Why not!?" Jason demanded. "That's not fair!"

Laughing, Dan said, "Well... Suffice it to say that I did what I had to do and because I learned that I could take destiny into my own hands, R3 gave me my book and told me I could forge my own reality at my whim. But... Then he let me meet Andy and I knew I couldn't just selfishly live for myself. I had lived for everyone for a long time and I wasn't going to change that. I had committed my entire body to that cause. And I wasn't going to stop.

"So I became F6 the Facilitator No One of the Body... and until recently, F6 the Patriarch."

Jason narrowed his eyes at his father for a long moment. There was something fishy about that story... just the end... and the way Dan spoke of this 'Andy' character. The more he stared, the more it became apparent... and the more Dan slowly began to grin.

Then it hit him.

Like a fifty tonne weight with the markings 'ANDY = R3' on its side.

"Andy was R3... wasn't he?"

Dan laughed and nodded. "Yup. The bastard got me good with that one. Never really forgave him for that but then there was never really anything forgive." He wrapped his arms around Jason tightly. "Because if he never tricked me, I would never have become F6 and if I never became F6, I would never have had you, Jason." He leaned over and kissed Jason's forehead. "And you're my pride and joy, Jason."

Jason chuckled softly and pressed his cheek against his father's thick, muscular neck. "Thanks dad..." he murmured. He turned to face his father directly but his lips slipped over Dan's. They weren't kissing but their lips were pressed against one another.

Memories of the times they spent together filled his mind and in that instant, he realised just how hurt his father was. Dan's son had moved out and on with his life and the man he had hoped to spend the rest of his life with was a workaholic...

Dan has sacrificed so much for me... risked so much for me...

Jason twisted his head to the side, reaching behind Dan's neck and gently licking at his father's lips.

How could I have forgotten that...?

"J - Jason..." Dan began softly but the instant his lips pulled apart, Jason ran his tongue over Dan's fangs. "No... You're engaged..."

But his father's resistances were failing and Jason pushed his dad against the couch.

I've been really selfish... Focused just on me...

What I want... my problems...

... but my story isn't the only one being written...

"Brett won't mind," he answered softly, nuzzling his father's neck. "Besides, I think he'd love to get it down with his father-in-law one day."

Dan let out a nervous chuckle but Jason could feel his dad's arousal poking through that bathrobe. "I don't know Jason... It's... It's hardly appropriate..."

I didn't do it on purpose...

... but I shut out my dad...

... I don't want that.

Jason slowly reached into his father's bathrobe, running his hand through those enormous, round pecs that were like solid mounds of iron. He breathed in his father's exotic, electrifying scent. It was manly, heady but also so alien. He had missed that.

"It's just what you need, dad," he said, nuzzling his father lovingly. "Chris might not be the one... But I want you to know that I'm always here. You'll always have me, dad."

"Jason... you don't have to..."

Jason smirked slightly and peeled off his father's robes, revealing that tended pair of blue boxer shorts. "Yeah I do."

He leaned in and wrapped his lips around his dad's and this time, Dan kissed back. Their tongues curled around one another's, father and son. Dan's slipped his a little further into Jason's muzzle and Jason replied by sucking on to, pulling it further into him bit by bit. Dan moaned at the pleasure and his steaming hot rod pressed further up against his boxers, the precum building and seeping into the cloth and filling the lounge with the smell of his arousal.

Dan's hands slipped under Jason's shirt and slowly began pulling them up over his son's body. Jason saw his father's eyes widen as the clothing was pulled up over his head and thrown aside.

"Wow son... You've grown bigger."

Jason grinned and flexed his exposed biceps just for his dad. It was nowhere as big as Dan but still quite impressive.

"Been working out. Brett's a machine."

He leaned in and ran his tongue over his father's lips while looping a finger around Dan's boxers and slowly pulling them down. Dan's massive, pink, ten-inch cock poked his abs, precum soaking into his fur.

"Yeah... I can see that..." Dan chuckled. "Could still be bigger though..."

Jason smiled and pressed his chest against his father's. Their hard pecs rubbed against one another's, their nipples brushing together and sending waves of electrifying pleasure through him.

"Dad... You don't have - Ah!"

He gasped as he felt that familiar, empowering heat radiated from Dan's palms and course through his veins. Jason held onto his dad tightly as the raw power of Dan's ability to alter any physical matter at his whim too over. He could feel every vein pump through his body, growing and feeding his muscles with new life and mass.

Before he knew what was happening, his dad's hands slipped below his waist and over his thighs. Cloth began to shred and rip as he felt his muscles balloon, the hard, defined valleys and mounds growing even bigger with rivers of veins cutting through their surface. His skin and fur was stretched taut ad his pants were torn at the seams.

Jason arched his back yelping as his muscular ass pushed right through the seat of his pants, sending shards of cloth flying. This thighs burst through the seams, sweaty, black fur barely covering the thick, titanic muscles. His calves tore through the lower parts of his jeans, ripping them in half and sending the cloth scattering to the floor. Shoes that once fit him perfectly were torn to shreds as his claws burst out of the front and his heels ripped through the structure. Surprisingly, his underwear remained intact.

Before he knew what was happening, Dan grabbed his shoulders and that same, overwhelming power filled his upper torso.

"D - Dad..." he stammered as his veins pumped both blood and heat through his shoulders. His world twisted around and he felt his growing back press against the couch. Big by bit, every muscle along his back inflated and pressed hard against the cushions beneath him as his shoulders widened and pushed hard against his father's tight grip.

"Relax, Jase," Dan said, leaning in, his lips hovering close to Jason's. "I love you..."

Their lips met and Jason melted. He felt his father exhale into him, that hot, warm breath flooding into his lungs and filling his lungs, widening them and pushing the muscles along chest to their limit. He moaned, eyes rolling into the back of his head as his growing pecs squashed against his father's. His six pack became incredibly defined, hard mounds pulsing beneath Dan's expert hands and adding another row of muscle, his abs becoming a pronounced eight-pack.

With every breath his father pumped into him, Jason felt his entire body expand. His cock pulsed with his heartbeat, stretching out of his own boxers and sliding up right next to his father's. Still moaning, he slipped his boxers off, kicking them away as with the remnants of his shoes. He reached around his father's gargantuan chest and back, finding his massive arms could finally enclose his father's form.

Slowly, Dan pulled away and lifted his tail, glancing over his shoulder. Jason took that as a sign and grasped his throbbing eleven-inch member and slowly guided it up is father's ass. Dan let out a soft 'oh' of pleasure and shuddered as the tip of Jason's pre-covered cock. At the same time, he pressed his hands against Jason's pecs, that warmth continuing to flood Jason and filling him with more strength and power.

Dan shuddered as Jason slipped a good four inches of his cock into that tight, warm pucker. Being in his dad... it was a feeling he had missed and he realised that it had been a mistake to just be with Brett. There were three men he loved most in the world. Brett, Connor... and Dan. He had already lost one.

He didn't want to lose another.

"Oh god! Dad!" he cried as Dan took another four inches.

"You're my big boy, Jase," Dan said, grinning slightly and with his tongue hanging out from the side of his muzzle. "My big boy... Ah!"

Jason thrust lightly into his father's ass, pushing himself a little deeper. He felt his father's form grow a little as Dan adjusted himself to take his son. Watching with a grin, he saw his father's already godly form shift and bubble, growing stronger and more muscular with every second. That already immense, ten inch-cock stretched and widened, pushing towards him and dripping precum all over his chest. Enormous, watermelon-sized biceps groaned and inflated, pulsing with new life. Jason paid attention to one particular vein, the one running over the massive muscle - his favourite vein - and watched it grow, beat and press past even the short, black fur.

He gasped he pushed completely into Dan and began thrusting, shoving his monster cock right up into his father's ass and loving the feeling of his father encasing him, wrapping completely around him and being in his father. With every thrust, he felt himself and his father grow even further. Bones stretched and built, muscles grew meatier and stronger and their scent became mixed with the smell of sex.

Jason felt his father's long, hot dick slip between the clefts of his pecs and he glanced down, watching the mighty mounds of his torso, press hard against his father's steaming, pink rod, compressing it and squeezing the juiced from it.

"Come on, son," Dan gasped, bouncing on Jason's dick along with his son's thrust. "Suck your dad's bone."

Grinning, Jason wrapped his arms around his dad's shoulders and pulled them closer, pushing his dad's dick closer to his lips. The drooling, pink tip pressed against the tip of his nose and he took a long, loving whiff of the delicious, manly aroma of his father. The touch was volcanic, sending the same waves of pleasure and strength through his system and thickening his neck in the process. His tongue slipped out instinctively, curling around that pink rod with the addictive heat pulsing along his tastebuds along with the mouth-watering saltiness of his father's manhood.

His thrusts increased in pace as did his father's. More and more, that hot dick slipped closer and closer to his muzzle until he felt the tip press against his lips. He suckled at the tip, drawing that salty ambrosia directly from the source and not letting a single drop go to waste. All the while, his father's ass clenched around his cock, building the pleasure and pressure in his loins.

That cock slipped into his muzzle, compressed by his pecs. He felt his father's heartbeat in that throbbing members, finding it pounding in tandem with his own. Jason closed his eyes and mercilessly assaulted his dad's cock, wrapping his tongue around its length over and over, sucking at the cumslit and twisting his head from side to side, covering as much of the length as he could in his warm lips.

He tasted the saltiness grow in his father's cock just as the pressure became unbearable in his loins. His own gasps became more ragged, deeper and more desperate. The yearning for release was becoming unbearable. His father's cock became inflated at the base, a knot quickly forming as his own bulged out.

Dan pushed down and with a loud, pop, Jason's knot slipped into his father's ass.

Jason was driven wild.

His thrusts became furious, feverish and Dan was completely overtaken. The older wolf's massive body was racked with quakes and shudders as Jason's titanic thrusts rocked his entire form.

"J - J - Jason!" Dan cried. "I - I'm g - g - gonna..."

The fluids pumping down his throat became thicker and suddenly, that cock went rigid.

"AAAH - UH -AAAAAH!"

Dan erupted down Jason's throat, scorching, salty seed slipping down Jason's muzzle and down his throat.

At the same time, Jason's muffled cried turned into blissful gurgled as he drank every drop, relishing the taste of his father and breathing in that glorious musk. His own cock seized up in Dan's ass as release overcame him and he exploded into his father. He continued thrusting and with each thrust, a heroic amount of cum shot from his cock and into his father's ass.

Jason wasn't sure how long we just lay there, drinking his father's life-giving seed but with the waterfall eventually trickled down to a dribble, he was still emptying himself into his father. The cum became so copious that, despite his knot, it leaked out over his groin, soaking them both in his seed.

Dan gave a long sigh of relief and gently lowered himself over his son their bodies pressed hard against one another and with his titanic cock - well past a foot - planted firmly between them. Jason continued sucking at the tip until his dad's face was right beside his. He pulled away from his dad's glorious manhood and turned his lips to the man who had given him life and more.

They shared a passionate kiss, a kiss only a father and son who loved each other dearly could share.

Jason eventually felt his orgasm end and his cum-soaked fur bind them together as they pressed their gargantuan, muscular bodies against one another. The warmth of their shared afterglow and their bodies merged into one, banishing the chill of the afternoon as they wound their arms around one another and held each other tightly.

Dan was first to pull away, locking grateful, loving eyes with his son. "I love you, Jason."

Jason smiled and kissed his father gently. "I love you too, dad."

Then they shared the same breath once more and let sleep take them.

****

Jason awoke to the sound of the door opening.

He groaned and rubbed the sleep from his face, feeling a rather sticky spot against his muzzle and guessed that was just some dried cum. Dan was just waking beside him too and watching his father shake the sleep from his eyes made his heart bloom.

Whenever he slept with his dad, Dan always woke up before him and was already preparing breakfast or off to work. Seeing his dad wake up beside him was just perfect.

"Ugh... What time is it...?" Dan murmured.

Jason licked his father's lips gently.

"Around ten at night," answered a deep but bright voice.

Both Wolfe men started at each other in horror and immediately sat up, glancing over the edge of the couch.

Chris Thornton - the Blue Wolf - stood at the entrance to the lounge, an amused smirk on his face. Chris looked like he could be part of the Wolfe family. He had jet-black fur just like Jason and Dan but his fur was thicker, fluffier for dealing with the frigid temperatures of being in the air that his big, black wings allowed him access to. He was broad and muscular much like Dan. The only difference with them was that his eyes were black instead of sapphire-blue.

"Chris!" Dan exclaimed, still nude and with Jason's cum still dripping out of his ass...

"Had fun you two?" Chris chuckled, grinning.

"Um..." Jason began. "Look... I... My dad just seemed a little down and I -"

Chris held up a hand, silencing them both. "It's perfectly alright, Jason. I know you and your father share a very special relationship. Something I can never equate to or surpass. I'm just glad that you were there to hold him up when I couldn't."

Phew...

The last thing he wanted was to get between his father and Chris. He didn't want to make his dad choose between them... because in the end, he wanted his dad too... While the right thing to do would be to let him go with Chris... Jason didn't want to lose Dan.

Then something clicked.

"Wait... What time is it?" he asked again.

"About ten," Chris replied, giving him a curious look. "Why?"

Ten...

"Sea4 opens at ten..." Optimist began.

Pessimist's eyes widened in horror. "That means Robin and David..."

CRAP!

"I have to go!" Jason cried, vaulting over the couch. His increased mass nearly caused a crater in the floorboards.

"What?" Dan asked, sitting up suddenly. "Jason? What's wrong!?"

"Robin's boyfriend is bisexual and he's about to tell her at a gay bar!"

Both Dan and Chris looked horrified.

Chris suddenly got a very serious look on his face. "I'll drive."

****

Chris' big, black SUV came to a grinding halt right in front of Club Sea4. Jason came charging out, dressed in some tight-fitting clothing that Dan had managed to scrounge up as they scrambled halfway across town to keep Robin from getting her heartbroken. Dan barely had enough time to shift him back to normal and he was as few inches and probably added another hundred pounds of muscle to his frame. Judging by the looks of all the meaty guys in line, he must've looked like a real monster.

Thankfully, he wasn't too late.

Robin, Brett and David were standing at the front of the line with Trent.

"Brett!" he cried, ploughing through several patrons.

"WAIT!" Pessimist cried. "You just slept with your dad! You haven't taken a shower and you stink of sex! Isn't that cheating!"

"It doesn't count," Optimist countered. "Dan is an exception. He's Jason's father. It's not cheating."

"Won't you be insulted if your fiancé slept with their dad!?"

"Nope!" Horndog laughed with glee. "It'd be hot! Especially if we got to join in!"

"He's right, unfortunately," Optimist muttered. "Brett has slept with Dan before even if Jason was there alongside them. Beside, I'm sure if we just explained..."

"Jason?" Brett asked. He suddenly let out a yelp as Jason practically bowled him over, wrapped his arms around the Rottweiler, bent him over and kissed him passionately.

Brett's eyes rolled into the back of his head and Jason felt his mate's cock poke against the tight shorts that Dan had given him.

Jason pulled away quickly. "I slept with Dan," he whispered softly. "He and Chris were in a rough patch and he needed me. And I needed him too. He's a part of my life, Brett. I don't want to lose him."

"Hmm... Good explanation," Optimist observed.

Brett blinked and locked gazes with him. "God that's hot..." He shook his head quickly. "And I don't mind." A grin split across his face. "Besides, I'd love to get it down with my father-in-law one day. Just the two of us."

"I'll pencil you in," Jason chuckled as their noses pressed against one another.

"Ahem."

Both of them straightened, Trent grinning at them. "You four going in or what?"

Jason locked gazes with Brett and his Rottweiler instantly understood.

"In a sec," he said, turning towards Robin. "Hey Robin... Can I have a word?"

David looked smug as Robin answer with a cheery, "Sure."

Jason led Robin around the club to the adjacent alleyway. The deep, bass music was still audible but it was soft enough that they could speak in private.

"Is something the matter, Jason?" Robin asked.

Okay... here goes...

"Pick your words wisely," Pessimist warned. "You want to keep her as a friend but tell her the truth."

"If she gets hurt at least tell her that regardless of what happens with David you two are still friends," Optimist advised.

They all glanced at Horndog next.

"She's a girl. I have nothing to say."

Taking a deep breath, Jason said, "Robin... Your boyfriend is a bisexual predator who just sees you as another conquest. Just another 'hole' to stick his cock in."

She didn't respond.

Keep going! You're losing her!

"I know we've had our differences in the past and I'm not exactly the epitome of a 'friend'," he continued, "but please believe me. David... I... I slept with David the first night you introduced us. You know? When Brett drove you to your friend's place? And then he tried to blackmail me into not telling you or he'll tell Brett.

"Brett and I worked it out and we screwed David and got some photos out of it. He loved it. You can see it. Please, you've got to believe me!"

...

Still no response.

Damn it...

WHACK!

He saw stars for a moment and was suddenly looking out at the entrance of the alleyway, a faint stinging coming to his cheek.

She slapped me...

Slowly, he turned his gaze back towards Robin. She holding herself with dignity but there were tears welling up in her eyes.

"Robin... I'm sorry..." he began.

"Do not be," she answered sharply, averting her gaze. "I already knew."

Wait... What?

"You did...? But then why'd you slap me?"

"Because you waited this long to tell me," she answered bitterly. Robin shook her head sadly. "I knew... Deep down I knew. But I suppose I was just so desperate for some form of contact that... I deluded myself into thinking he truly cared about me. I could see the signs. I could read his body language. I just kept hoping that... I would be the one for him..."

Whoa...

She's that desperate...

He wanted to reach out and touch her but... Did he have that right?

After all this, could he really just hold her tight and tell her he was her friend?

Only one way to find out...

He wound his arms around her shoulders and brought her close to his chest, expecting her to pull away or shout at him. She didn't. Robin pressed her head against his chest, weeping openly.

She was actually weeping.

"Do you know why I crave attention so much?" she murmured with a bit of hatred in her voice. "Despite being able to control peoples' attention, I always felt what they saw in me is shallow. I may not be able to truly control the content of what they see but forcing people to notice me when they wouldn't otherwise... It just made it all seem empty..."

Jason remembered the story of how Robin first met Connor. When the tiger was still working out his orientation, Robin had attempted to attract him. Connor fell for it but it was ultimately her that had convinced him he was gay... Robin attempted to get revenge by telling everyone about him and in a conservative school, Connor was heavily bullied.

"And you thought that David had a genuine interest in you because you didn't have to use your powers on him?"

Robin laughed bitterly, holding onto him tightly. "It was an idiotic fantasy..."

I don't think so...

... everyone gets lonely sometime or another...

"No... No it wasn't," Jason responded, pushing her away slightly and holding her out at arm's length. "You were lonely... and I get that... Part of that is my fault because I've never been a good friend to you. I just want you to know that no matter how many boyfriends you go through, I'll be here to catch you when you need it. At least I will now."

Robin laughed and shook her head. "I do not need you to babysit me, Jason."

"No... But I bet you'd like to know there's at least one person out there that likes you as a friend without the need of your powers."

Her eyebrows rose suspiciously. "You like me?"

Okay...

... maybe not so much...

"No," he admitted. He took a step away, releasing her from his grip. "But I can at least tell you I'm interested without your powers." He held out his hand. "Why don't we make a fresh start without forgetting what we've been through as friends?"

Robin let out a bright, cheery laugh. "That sounds a bit hypocritical."

"Look, you want me there or not?"

She regarded his hand for a moment... Then seized it, giving it a firm shake. "I would love to, Jason."

For a second, they just held each other's hand... Then... like some unstoppable force of gravity suddenly appeared between them, Robin pulled herself closer, stood up on her toes...

... and kissed him.

It only lasted for half a second.

And when Robin pulled away, she was regarding him curiously. "Anything?"

He thought about it.

There were no alarm bells ringing in his head so that was something at least. Horndog, Optimist and Pessimist were just shrugging, not really sure what to make of the scenario.

"Sorry, no," Jason responded. "It was interesting but I'm gay, Robin. Bent so far it's practically straight. If that makes sense."

She laughed and nodded, releasing his hand. "I can see that... It is a pity that all the friends I ever make turn out to be homosexual."

A door swung open behind them and the music from the club amplified. They both glanced over their shoulder as Dominic came out, wiping the back of his neck with a towel. He caught sight of the two, his cock hanging out semi-erect. Jason couldn't help taking his eyes off that monster dick.

Neither could Robin.

"Oh! Didn't think anyone was out here..." the stag laughed, wrapping the sweat towel around his waist. He pointed at Jason. "Um... Jason right?"

"Y - Y -Yeah..." Jason stammered, praying his enlarged cock didn't tear through his shorts.

"Just thought you ought to know... Brett is on stage again."

Jason rolled his eyes. "This is karma... I just know it..."

Dominic stepped aside. "Use this door. You can get past Trent that way."

"Thanks."

He glanced back at Robin but she was sauntering over to Dominic a curious look on her face.

"A bit chill out, is it not?" she greeted.

Wait a second...

Jason waved at Robin slightly, thankful that Dominic could see him. He thought of how he could tell he Dominic was gay without being too obvious. Quickly, he formed a ring with one hand and then slipped another finger form his other hand in and out of the ring.

Robin shrugged and persisted.

"A little," Dominic chuckled. "Could use a little warming up."

Wait...?

"She's a big girl," Optimist said, chuckling softly. "I think she knows what she's getting into."

"I agree... surprisingly," Pessimist said. "The worst that can happen is that she'll get her heart broken again... But at least you'll be there to catch her. Let her find her own path but keep reminding her that she's welcome onto yours whenever she needs it."

Nodding, Jason winked at Robin and silently wished her good luck as he turned and entered the nightclub. The deep, bass and the pounding of feet mixed with the scent of manly musk almost overwhelmed him again. He was hard by the time he cut through the crowd and came up to the bar where he could see the stage clearly.

Brett was up there with his other 'brothers' showing off his stuff again.

Everyone loved it.

Especially Jason.

"Good lord..." he muttered, shaking his head. "I leave him alone for a few minutes and then he's up there strutting his stuff..."

"You weren't much help with your 'explanation'."

Jason glanced to his right where R3 in a new disguise he had yet to see. This time, R3 appeared as a tall, muscular wolf-hybrid of some sort. Jason couldn't exactly tell what the other half of R3 was but it was canine. His muzzle was a little shorter and squarer than a wolf's and his eyebrows were golden. His fur was otherwise jet-black except for his hair which was a golden blonde to fit his eyebrows. There was also a tuft of golden fur sticking out from his chest like a gold crest.

His alien eyes were clearly visible.

A highly defined chest with washboard abs and large, plump pecs...

R3 was hot!

Standing only in denim pants and an open white shirt... he was smoking!

Around his neck was a silver chain with a white key hanging from it reminding Jason of the golden pen he wore around his neck on a similar chain.

"Oh... Um..."

R3 was holding a book in one hand and in the other was a shot glass filled with some red mixture. "You handled the situation very well, Jason. You will be happy to know that Dominic is 'gay for pay'. While he enjoys the company of men, he prefers women." R3 swirled nodded towards the exit. "The situation with your father was also dealt with admirably. Perhaps a little too hormone driven but the message got across. Lastly" - he nodded toward the stage - "with the events around David and Brett, you performed exceptionally well.

"By now, you should have realised that the world is neither merely light, dark or endless gray. There are a myriad of colours in the world and countless hues. We cannot live in just one colour for we are made up of countless tinges of all shades. Living with just one colour will cause us to forget the rest of the world and those we care for."

"I know..." Jason said, nodding slightly. "I know that now. I was so focused on myself that I forgot about Brett, Robin and my dad... So focused on what the future held for me. I don't want to lose anyone... and I'm happy for the colour they bring my life..." He smirked slightly. "Even if that colour comes with drama."

"Without drama, life would be boring." R3 lifted the glass towards his lips. "Now why don't you go enjoy the stage with your man? Leave everyone else envious for once."

Jason grinned.

"Sure."

He snatched the shot glass from R3's hand and poured its contents down his throat. It burned a little but he shook it off and welcomed the buzz it brought his head. With a lustful growl, he pushed past through all the masses, grateful for his increased mass since he could plough through the muscular crowd easily.

Many Animarians and humans gawked at his size and wantonly ran their hands through his muscles. As he approached the stage, Brett caught sight of him.

"Jason!?" his Rottweiler cried in shock. "I -"

Before Brett could finish, Jason grabbed a nearby fox dressed in nothing but glowsticks and planted his lips around the vulpine's, holding the fox in a long, slobbery kiss. He pushed the fox to the ground a second later, the poor guy completely dazed and his eyes glazed over with his erection poking through the glowing shorts.

Jason jumped onto the stage and grabbed Brett, pressing his mate against the nearest pole and wrapping that cute, square muzzle in his own, shoving his tongue down his mate's throat. Brett shuddered and melted into his grip, wrapping his arms around his shoulders and grinding into him to the beat of the music.

Jason pulled away a second later, their noses pressed against one another.

"Number 2," he whispered softly. "I love how, despite all the hot beef in this club and in the world, you are always the one that stands out for me. Just you."

Brett smiled dreamily up at him. "That was my Number 4..."

"No copying." Jason suddenly pulled Brett off the pole, turning them both to face the crowd. "Now what do you say we give the crowd something to be really envious about?"

His mate grinned from ear to ear.

"Hell yeah!"
