#101 of Patreon Reward Vignettes

Vignette for Kobalt featuring Cody. The idea for this ended up making for a very short scene indeed. I couldn't figure out how to make it bigger without adding more at the start or the end and that would mess up the idea of the scene entirely.

Contains: Make Believe, Casual Nudity, Bathtime, Puppeteering with Your Tail and HYEAH!

Kobalt belongs to FA: KobaltTheWolf

Cody belongs to FA: CodeStoat

While I was making the thumbnail for this upload I realized that I'd been uploading March's Patreon Reward Vignettes with APRIL in the thumbnails... x.x

Fuck I don't have the energy to fix that. April's uploads will also be using the same template, then switching to May's when its actually appropriate.

This was written as a reward for the $30 tier on my Patreon! People who pledge $5 or more can vote on polls. $15 or more you can add to the suggestion doc, which is where the ideas that get voted on on the polls come from.

Right now, all unpublished writings are available to read for all Patrons!

If you'd rather have more complete control of my creative output, consider commissioning me when I'm open! If you'd rather just support me and don't want to commit to a monthly donation, I have a Ko-Fi

Cody rushed to the rail, feeling his face get splattered by the spray coming off the side. The boat lurched beneath the stoat's feet, forcing him to grab on tight. He braced against the water washing back off the deck and gazed out into the heartless sea.

Amidst the pounding waves, the tiny ship's captain spotted an enormous fin.

"There's me quarry!" The mustelid shouted. As the next wave shoved the deck back to level, Cody pushed off from the rail, twisted and rushed to the wheel. Grasping at the handles, he planted his feet in place and struggled to turn the ship's rudder in pursuit of his prize.

Kobalt chuckled, watching the toy boat fight against the ripples in the bathwater. The buckaroo reclined against one end of the tub, watching his micro roommate attempt to work the wheel. Beneath the sudsy surface, his long dexterous tail shifted about as it puppeteered a foam shark fin strapped on near the tip. The 'crashing waves' were provided by one of his powerful thighs bouncing up and down in the heated water.

Appropriately, Cody cursed like a sailor, his voice squeaking in the height of his desperation. The stoat flicked his tail behind him as he put his weight into trying to spin the tiny wheel.

In response, the hybrid pressed the front of his lips together and let out a muffled roar from the corner of his mouth.

The stoat turned from the wheel and looked Kobalt straight in the eye. "Aw come on, sharks don't roar." Cody pouted up at his much larger roommate, planting his paws on his hips as the tiny ship was tossed. Somehow, he managed to move his legs and hips well enough to keep his torso mostly upright.

Kobalt giggled at his friend's expression, "They don't swim in bath water either." He countered with a playful wink. He stopped bouncing his leg under the bathwater and leaned up from his reclined posture.

Frowning severely, the mustelid turned to start digging in the toy boat's cabin. Over the next few moments, the toy's movements stabilized as the rippling water stilled. By the time his ship had stopped rocking entirely, he had dug out an armful of narrow foam sticks from the small storage space.

The buckaroo smirked at this, swooping the fake fin back and forth enough to cause a wake. "I'd like to see you try to get one of those to stick to this." Kobalt momentarily stopped his tail, except to waggle the fin like the shark was shaking its head beneath the surface, before setting it to lazily swimming about the tub once more.

Not to be dissuaded by this display, Cody picked up one of the foam rods and wound back. With a high-pitched roar, the micro lobbed his 'spear' at the moving fin.

The foam rod soared the foot of open air between the toy and the dummy shark, but bounced off. Harmlessly, it splashed down onto the sudsy surface of the water. Slowly, it became saturated and sank below.

Kobalt wiggled his tail about, adding some twists and bounces to make it look like the shark was dancing. "Better slay the shark before the storm comes..." He sing-songed, glancing up at the showerhead.

Looking on silently for a moment, the stoat narrowed his eyes. "Accursed beast." The tiny captain reached for his next spear.
