Loona's Love Life.

Chapter 4: Little White Lies.

May 2, 2021.

Alex quickly stepped through the portal to earth and gave a soft shutter as the cool spring air hit his face.

"Ok, here's my number, don't get the wrong idea." Loona threatened as Alex just smirked.

"What no first date?" He said as he Loona stayed on her side of the hellscape. She gave him a warning growl as Alex just laughed.

"Don't worry fuzzball." he grimaced as he remembered his roommate, and his smile faltered.

"Not sure I want to put a girl through the horrors of trying to fight off my stalker of a friend." Loona just hiked up an eyebrow.

"Is she really that bad?" Loona asked as Alex just shivered.

"I'm surprised she-" He was cut off as his phone began to ring.

"Speak of the devil." Alex said as he saw the caller ID. Loona saw the dejection in his face and huffed.

"Need someone to take care of her?" She asked as he gave her a thoughtful look. Finally, he shook his head and answered the phone.

"Hey there Sophia." He held the phone out at arm's length as shouting was heard over the phone's tiny speaker.

"Hold on and calm down I can't understand you when you're this angry." That caught Loona's attention. After a few more seconds of loud shouting and cursing, Sophia finally got most of it out of her system.

"Better?" Alex asked as Sophia caught her breath. Loona snickered as she felt Sophia's anger well up at that. Alex rolled his eyes as Sophia continued her spiel.

"Look, I'm sorry to come down hard on you like this Alex, but I'm going to need you to come home so we can talk." Alex just cringed as Loona snickered.

"Ah are you two having a little lover's spat?" She chimed in catching Sophia's attention.

"Who is that?" She asked while Alex just gave Loona a silent glare. Loona just snickered as she sent her dad a text.

"Hey I know it's sudden but I'm hanging out with Alex for a little while. See you later." In reality, while she didn't really care much for humans she needed some time away from her dad. A second later she got a text back.

"Ok, have fun, don't do anything I wouldn't, and please for the love of Satan keep safe." Loona smiled as Alex explained that he was injured and that thanks to Loona and her companions he was alive and safe. Sophia just huffed as she took in what she as being told, with Alex keeping out anything remotely related to hell. Finally Sophia hung up allowing Alex to take a deep breath.

"Good God I hate talking to her sometimes." He gave a quick glance up to heaven and let out an annoyed sigh. He then flashed Loona a smirk.

"But hey at least I have a new job to be happy about." Loona just smiled.

"You know you should really put her in her place." She said as she through on her human disguise, at least that's what Alex assumed, all's he saw was a flash of light and then Loona still looking like Loona.

"So I've been meaning to ask." Loona said as the two of them exited the alleyway.

"How come you seem to be able to see us through our disguises?" Once Alex got his sense of direction he prompted Loona to follow as he led her to his house.

"Because of my faith." He stated simply. Loona though about it, then it clicked.

"Right because God is truth or something like that?" She asked to which Alex nodded.

"Correct." Then Alex thought about it. "Hmm I'm going to have to do some introspection when I get home." Luckily for the two of them Loona's portal let them out relatively close to Alex's apartment. Alex hesitated as he held the gate open for Loona but she just smirked as she entered the complex.

"Well it's not the Ritz but it's also not a complete dump either." She stated as she looked around at the swimming pool and dog area. Alex saw her stop and stare as a smile made itself at home upon his face.

"Wanna go play fetch later?" Loona snickered at that and shot him a smirk.

"You pull that shit with me and I'll cram that frisby down your throat." Alex just laughed as he let Loona take in the scenery. Seeing her stare off into space put Alex at peace. It was honestly refreshing to not hear yelling or screaming or gunfire, and that was saying something considering all of the years he'd lived in this neighborhood.

"Hey slow poke hurry your ass up!" Sophia's scream tor through the calm evening air, bringing Loona back to present, her muzzle creasing into a snarl as she was rudely interrupted from her nice, soothing relaxation. She then gave Alex a pityfull grin.

"Can I please just kill your girlfriend?" she asked as Alex just gagged.

"1 Not my girlfriend." He shuddered at the thought. "2 No, I don't hate her nearly enough for that." He then sighed as he continued along the walkway to his apartment.

"And 3, I still need a place to stay and she's all I've got." Loona just shrugged.

"Eh you could probably find a better roommate or place in hell at this rate." Alex chuckled.

"Don't temp me." He knocked on the door and it was immediately opened by a flustered looking 20 something year old coaucasion with pigtails and a set of bottle cap glasses. She gave Alex a stern glare but then saw Loona and her face hardened into a deep scowl.

"Who's this?" She rudely said looking Loona up and down. Loona simply introduced Sophia to her middle finger.

"Sup bitch?" She asked causing Alex to tither as he saw Sophia's shocked expression.

"So listen, my dad hired Alex to help out around our office, so he'll be spending some time at our place from time to time, K?" She said as Sophia stood there looking dumbstruck.

"Wait what do you mean staying-" Alex was cut off as Loona held up a hand.

"Listen toot's," she said getting close to Sophia's face who recoiled as she smelt a hint of sulfur on Loona's breath. She in return smiled as Sophia squrmed under her scrutiny.

"I don't know what crawled up your ass and died but that doesn't give you a reason to take out your insecurities on someone else." Sophia got her composure back and pushed Loona away.

"Back off!" She then took a step towards the two and smirked as Alex reached out to steady Loona who growled a low warning.

"Listen bitch, I don't know who the hell you think you are but you better not put your grubby little hand's on me again." Loona smirked.

"Or what whore?" She felt Sophia's anger spike as her face became a visage of anger.

"I'm going to kick your-" Alex got between the two and pushed Sophia back a little bit, Loona gently taking his hand and pushing it off of her chest.

"Look girls maybe we got off on the wrong foot?" He tried to lighten the mood with a little laughter, Loona flashed him a smirk but Sophia was still fuming. Alex took a deep breath and recomposed himself.

"Look, Sophia I'm sorry for not letting you know sooner about what had happened." He held up a hand when she was about to interrupt him.

"But with the extent of my injuries." He gestured to his bandaged arm and chest.

"I wasn't exactly in the best place to give you or anyone else a call." Loona stood back and chose to listen. Sophia finally got a good look at Alex's injuries and her face went pale.

"Now with that having been said, I owe Loona here and her friends my life, so I've decided to go and work for them." He snickered as he though about potentially being a hitman.

"Honestly I'm blessed to have been able to live through this." He said as he relaxed a little bit. Loona did the same while Sophia just stood there feeling ashamed and embarrassed.

"Look let's all just start over here ok?" He asked as Loona rolled her eye's

"Sure just so long as she stops being a cunt." Sophia was flabbergasted along with Alex being slightly angry with her egg. Sophia finally got her wits about her and took a deep breath.

"Ok, fine. I apologize for being short with both of you." She begrudgingly held out a hand that Loona smugly shook, while Alex finally let out a deep breath.

"Oh thank god." He held his one good hand up to his head to help calm down his impending headache.

"Look girls I would love to continue catching up, but I really need to go lie down for a little bit." Loona gave him a small look of concern and held a hand up to his forehead. She then took a sniff of his breath and his injuries as well, leaving Sophia confused and a little freaked out.

"Yeah you don't smell to good either." Alex chuckled

"Well I haven't had a bath in three or so day's, so." Loona snorted as she looked over to Sophia.

"Can we get him inside?" She asked as Sophia Just gave a nod. Once she had him inside Loona went over to the bath tub and got it running. Sophia came inside and closed the door.

"Why didn't you guys get him to a hospital?" Loona gave an eye roll.

"Look are you going to continue to ask twenty questions or are you going to help me make sure Alex isn't sick?" She asked as she hauled him into the now cold tub. Sophia groaned as she helped Loona haul Alex over and then into the tub. Once that was done Loona went around the house gathering herbs and medicine.

"Ok let's get you all better." Loona spent the next hour getting Alex's fever down to a manageable level, once she was satisfied with his temperature, she got Sophia to help him to his room.

"Come on Loona, I'm not a baby." He complained. Loona just smirked.

"Stop your whining." She set him down on the bed and made sure he was sound asleep before she decided to leave. She was on her way out the door when she was stopped by Sophia who fixed her with a cold stare.

"I don't know who you are but stay away from my friend!" She tried to stare Loona down but Loona just smirked as she glared right back.

"So the bitch is still trying to play tough." Loona grinned as Sophia recoiled but still not wanting to back down. Loona just gave her the finger once more.

"Listen toots, I'm not into him ok?" Sophia was confused.

"Then why-" She was cut off by Loona pinning her to the wall of the apartment complex with a single hand.

"He saved my life, I can't tell you anymore or things will get ugly." Her eye's glowed a soft shade of red before they returned to normal. Sophia was utterly horrified.

"What in the hell are you?" She gasped as Loona let her go, a shit eating grin plastered to her face.

"Oh no one to concern yourself with," She sauntered off down the hallway, "Just Alex's new co-worker." She said as she reached the bottom of the stairs. She made her way out of the apartment complex and went down a nearby alley, pulling out some chalk as she started to create a portal circle for home. Sophia meanwhile was still in shock. Once she got some of her motor skills back she quickly entered the house and locked all of the doors, and closed the blinds.

"What in the hell did you get yourself involved in Alex!?" Sophia sat down and got a glass of gin to help calm her nerves.
