This is a gift for Emery, who is in my server! I decided that this was a lovely idea and simply had to be written! Exploring a dungeon can be a hazardous proposition, even for the well-prepared...

I wanted a kind of D&D feel to this one, it was really fun to write!

The entrance to the dungeon wasn't anything special, just a basic stone doorway, half covered with overgrown plants and dirt. It could have been mistaken for a mine entrance or something, but Sera was quite sure that this is what she and Emery had been searching for. She'd been researching this particular place for a while now, and there wasn't any doubt in her mind that this was it.

"Wow," Emery said, the otter putting her hands on her hips as she surveyed the entrance. "Can't believe that we found it."

Sera gave a huff, putting her pack on the ground. "I can't believe that you doubted me!" she grumbled, rubbing her aching shoulders. This place was a good day's hike from the nearest town and they'd packed a lot of supplies. When exploring places like this, better safe than sorry. Sera looked up at the sun, squinting. "We have a couple hours before it's evening, we can have a look at the first few rooms before then for sure."

Emery nodded, swinging her own pack off of her shoulders and pulling a torch from it. "And you're sure that this place is abandoned?" the otter asked. "There won't be any traps or anything? I'll be on the lookout anyway but we're not equipped to really explore something with active defences."

Sera waved a hand airily. "Yes, yes, I'm sure," she said grumpily. "This was just an outpost; there won't be any traps or anything. Doubt there'll be anything of value after all of this time anyway, this is just for the historical information."

The otter held out the torch and Sera waved her hand over the end, lighting it with a few muttered words. Fire flared and caught at once on the oil soaked cloth, and it'd burn for a few hours at least. Seracen could make light of her own of course, but it was best that the dragoness save her magic wherever possible, just in case. Creating a little spark was a lot easier than maintaining a mage-light for a long period of time.

"What supplies do you think we'll need to take in?" Sera asked Emery, pulling a journal and pen from her own bag. This, of course.

"Not much for an initial exploration," Emery said, taking a few more items from her pack, including some rope, a knife, a spare torch, and a flask of water. "As long as we don't have to go too far in."

"Nope," the dragoness said, picking up her back and taking her own flask out, then looking around for a place to stash her pack. They were unlikely to run into anyone way out here but having their stuff get stolen was a stupid thing to risk regardless. There was a big rock nearby though so Sera and Emery dumped their packs behind that. It was pretty well concealed from the path, unless someone searched around specifically, and they wouldn't be gone for long anyway.

"Let's a-go," Emery said brightly, marching forwards towards the entrance, Sera following at her side. The otter kept the torch raised nice and high, letting the flickering light illuminate everything around them. The entrance was wide enough for the two girls to walk side-by-side quite comfortably. The area beyond was more of a tunnel than a corridor, with the walls only roughly shaped by tools long ago. Parts of it even seemed natural, like this had been a natural fissure in the rock that someone had taken advantage of when constructing this place.

The tunnel went in far enough that the torch didn't illuminate anything but the walls stretching into the dark. Sera and Emery moved slowly, with Emery slightly in the lead. The otter's practiced eyes scanned the walls, floor, and ceiling as they went. Sera had said that there wasn't any traps but once again, it was best to be sure. While Emery looked for more mundane defences, Sera kept her own eyes peeled for arcane ones, as well as her magical sense too. There was nothing that concerned either of them though.

Abruptly, the walls and floor became much more artificial, smoothed and even looking like stone blocks in many places. Just as suddenly, the tunnel ended in a small room, definitely not natural. There was some detritus around it and it was filthy, but there was a doorway opposite. Whatever door had been there had been lost a long time ago and now it loomed as a dark rectangle, leading deeper underground. "Ooh!" Sera said as she looked around the tiny room. "This was probably an antechamber, or maybe a guard room..."

The dragoness went over to one of the walls, kneeling down and examining something. Underneath all of the dirt and dust, she was able to pull out a few scraps of fabric that might have once belonged to a tapestry or something on the wall, it was hard to say. "Animals probably got through here," Emery said, looking around with a slightly-wrinkled muzzle. "Definitely smells like something has been sleeping in here. We'll need to keep a lookout; running into a bear would be...tense."

"Pfft," Sera scoffed, standing and dusting the dirt off of her legs. "There aren't many bears around here... Now, wolves might be an issue, but I've got some spells to calm down wild animals."

"Really?" asked Emery doubtfully. "Didn't work last time. Remember the c--"

"Do not mention the cow!" Sera said hotly. "We're not talking about that again; it'll work on wolves or bears or whatever else we run into down here."

Emery held her hands up in a surrendering motion, walking over to the doorway and then peering down it, lifting the torch just a little higher, but once again this corridor was long enough that whatever lay beyond stay concealed. "We should continue a bit further in."

Sera nodded, the dragoness moving to stand behind Emery and then motioning the otter forwards. They set off again, footsteps muffled by the thick layer of dust on the floor. This time it was only a few seconds before something loomed out of the dark, a doorway appearing in front of them. This one still had the door in it too.

Looking around the periphery of the door, Emery looked for some of the obvious traps but there wasn't any sign of it being booby-trapped at all. Cautiously, she tried the doorknob, touching it gingerly in case it was electrified or something. It wasn't, so she turned it, but it wouldn't move; the door was locked. "It's locked," the otter said helpfully.

"Didn't you bring lockpicks or something?" Sera replied, folding her arms.

"Yeah, but an old lock like this probably rusted too much to pick," Emery said, standing against one of the walls so Sera could see the door clearly. "Try Knock."

Sera looked at her like she was insane. "I...I don't think anyone will answer if I knock."

"The spell Knock, genius."

"Oh, right," the black dragoness said, blushing. She took a deep breath, eyes turning to solid gold that flared brightly with light, especially visible in the darkness, before the dragoness flung a hand towards the door, fingers snapping sharply. The same golden light shone from inside the keyhole for a moment before both it and Sera's eyes flickered back to normal, an audible click coming from the door as it did so. "There, try it now."

This time when Emery tried the knob, it turned. It was far from smoothly and the hinges squealed something awful as the otter forced it open enough for them to pass through. There was another hallway beyond, but it immediately looked to be in better condition. There was still that thick layer of dust that crunched beneath their footsteps but there was no other detritus on the ground, blown or tracked in from the outside. "Let's see what lies further in," Sera said excitedly.

Once more, it was only a short trek to the next room. This one was larger, large enough that the torch's flickering light left the corners in shadow. There was furniture too, a low wooden table and benches around it. An intact tapestry, though a little tattered from the ages, hung on the wall, Sera scurrying over to inspect it. "Ooh!" she said, examining the interwoven threads. "This is definitely the coat of arms of the garrison that I hypothesised was stationed here."

Emery went over to the table, bending down with the torch. There were cups and a plate on the table, though their contents had disappeared a long time ago. The way they were arranged made it look like they'd simply been abandoned in the middle of being used, scattered haphazardly across the surface. "What happened to the garrison?" the otter asked, picking up one of the cups. It was metal and she rubbed against her sleeve hopefully, holding it up to the light to get a better look. "Tin," she sighed. "Not worth anything."

"If there is anything valuable, it'll be further in," Sera said from over by the tapestry. "This is right near the entrance; they won't be storing their silver cups here. And I dunno what happened to the garrison. Historical records just end. Assuming the records are complete--which is a big assumption--then maybe they disappeared. Or had a plague, or were wiped out, or maybe they were just recalled and someone forgot to write it down. That happens more than you think. That's what we're here to find out!"

"Well, let's hope that they left something behind that'll pay for this trip," the otter said, setting the cup back down on the table with a dull thud.

Somewhat reluctantly, the dragoness pulled herself away from the tapestry, jotting a few hastily-written notes down in her journal along with a reminder to come back and examine it in more detail. Slowly, she and Emery worked there way through the underground ruins, gradually getting deeper and deeper. They found the barracks, which had a few threadbare beds in it, along with the kitchen. There were only pots and pans there, nothing of interest. They found a storage room too, though everything in there had rotted away a long time ago. The same theme of everything being abandoned suddenly pervaded the place: there were still pots on the giant wood-fired stove, and what was left of the linen on the beds was messy.

The duo had to stop when they reached another locked door, this one made of dull steel. "Secure door," Emery observed, prodding it with her foot. "I'll leave it to you," the otter chirped, waving Sera forwards.

"Can you even pick locks?" the dragoness grumbled. "I feel like this is some elaborate ploy to hide the fact that you're lying about being able to do it." Once more, Sera's magic pulsed through the lock, disengaging it with a clunk. When it swung open, to their surprise, the room beyond was already lit. A large crystal was set into the ceiling and as soon as the door opened, it began to glow with a warm light. "Ooh fancy," Sera said, peering up at it. "Sun-stone, haven't seen one of those in a while. They've been out of fashion for a couple decades."

The function of this room was pretty clear: it had been the armoury for the garrison. There were racks of spears and shields, as well as a couple of swords and battle-axes. Most of them were pitted with rust from the long years without any care or maintenance, but one or two of them looked to be salvageable.

"Ah, finally!" Emery said, leaping over to inspect one of the axes that seemed to be in okay condition. "This will probably sell for enough to cover our expenses, at least. Pity there isn't more though." They'd explored the entire outpost now and the otter was more than a little disappointed.

Sera was frowning though, turning around slowly on the spot. "Hmm...maybe," she murmured. "But I read that the captain that built this place was dabbling in magic; there's records of his requests for materials and whatnot. If that's true, then there should have been somewhere secure to store that." She began pacing the circumference of the room. "Logically, they'd put it in the most well-defended part of the place, which is this armory, I guess. That means..."

"Secret door!" Emery said, grinning and beginning to pace in the opposite direction to the dragoness. Both moving slowly, they examined the walls carefully. The otter was the one to find it, a place where the seams between the blocks of stone were just a little wider than everywhere else. "Here!" she said triumphantly, waving Sera over.

"Ah, perfect!" the dragoness purred, pressing her hand against the section of wall. "Another Knock spell should be able to disengage the mechanism at the very least." She cast the spell and a golden glow illuminated the periphery of the door through the cracks in the stone. "Oh yeah, this is definitely a door." The dragoness gave it a firm shove and the section of wall gave a loud grinding sound as it gave way, sinking in and then left to show a narrow stone passage way. It was only a few metres long, ending in a wooden door that was ajar.

More than a little excited, Emery pushed it open, another sun-stone brightening to illuminate a small laboratory. This was what they had been looking for: instruments, covered in dust, lay on a table; a chest rested in the corner; and a small bookshelf with a half-dozen tomes resting on it. "Yes!" the otter crowed, looking around victoriously. "Hell yeah! Look at all this stuff! But...wait, what's that?"

Against the far wall, there was a fissure in the stone. It looked rather like a scar, large enough for them to squeeze through, and unlike the rest of the outpost, it looked like a natural formation. "Dunno," Sera said, walking up to it. "Guess they backed onto a natural cave or something. Unless..." The dragoness leaned in, peering close at the stone. "I think there's some runes here. They're pretty faded, I can't tell what they were supposed to do."

"Defences maybe?" Emery said, the otter sounding a little uneasy. "Curse or something?"

Seracen was silent for a long minute. "Nah, I don't think so. Looks like at least part of them are concealment charms, some others are detection spells, but it's all too old to have any power. I can cast some wards on us to be safe though."

The otter came over and tried to peer through the darkness. "Concealment, eh? Might be a last-ditch escape tunnel that they'd conceal behind them."

Shrugging, Sera said, "Might as well check it out, I'll grab some of these books on the way back though. That'll be enough exploring for today." Mumbling under her breath, the black dragoness cast a ward on herself and Emery. A soft nimbus of golden light surrounded each of them for a moment before fading.

Now confident in her arcane protection, Emery pushed through the fissure in the rock, holding the torch out in front of her. The space widened almost immediately into a comfortably-sized tunnel, still looking like a natural cave. Sera pushed her way through after the otter, looking around before they both pushed forwards. The tunnel was winding but sloped downwards at a moderate decline, staying wide enough that they could easily move single-file and often wider still. As they moved deeper and deeper underground, a soft sense of unease began to grow in the air, both girls noticing it only in their subconscious.

"I don't think this is an escape tunnel," Emery muttered after a while. "We're way too far below the surface."

Seracen opened her mouth to respond, but closed it. Ahead, almost completely obscured by the torch's bright fire, was a greenish glow from further down the cave. Silently, the dragoness tapped Emery on the shoulder and then pointed ahead of them. Nodding, the otter slowed their pace, handing the torch to Sera who extinguished it, the glow becoming all the more visible now that it was the only light. The two crept forwards warily, quite mindful of the long, tight confines they'd have to go through to get back outside; it wouldn't be quick if they had to flee.

When the glow was practically as bright as the torch had been, they emerged into a small cavern. Stalactites and stalagmites cluttered much of the space, though there was a winding path through them. The glow was from the plethora of bioluminescent plants around the cave: algae that glimmered, mushrooms as large as a hand outstretched, even a couple of ferns. It made the place quite bright and they could both see easily. "Wow," Sera breathed, peering over Emery's shoulder. "Look at all that!"

"Pretty," the otter gushed, both of them taking a step out of the tunnel and into the cave. As soon as they did, both of them felt the arcane warding around each of them vanish, overpowered from some external source. The golden light around them flared and then died just as suddenly. Not expecting her protection to vanish so quickly, Sera gave a yelp, jerking backwards and bracing herself, wincing as she expected all manner of horrible magical curses to inflict themselves upon her and Emery.

There was a heartbeat, then another. Nothing happened. "What was that?!" Emery said, looking around wildly. "Are we under attack?"

Sera stayed silent for a moment, the dragoness's golden eyes scanning the small cavern quickly. "I...don't think so," she said slowly. "Doesn't seem like it was caused by defences or a curse; we would have felt offensive magic by now. And I can't sense any spellcasters out there."

"Then what caused the wards to fail?" the otter asked, still sounding on guard.

Bending down, Sera peered at a large, glowing mushroom nearby. "Dunno. If this stuff are magical though...it's possible that there's passive, wild magic here that triggered the wards. Hang on, let me try to fix it, I can reconfigure the warding." Seracen's eyes glowed again and the wards were reapplied to both of them. The otter and dragoness waited for a second but it seemed that the problem had been fixed. "There, problem fixed."

Emery went over to another bit of bioluminescent flora. "Maybe we should take some of this stuff back to town," the otter suggested. "If this stuff is magical, might fetch a good price at the apothecary there."

"Maybe, but let's hold off on disrupting an ecosystem that's probably quite fragile." Sera looked towards the other end of the cave, threading her way through the stalagmites and trying not to disturb anything. Another tunnel lay ahead, leading deeper into the cave system. The pair stood into the entrance, pondering whether it was worth going any deeper, but they'd already come so far that it didn't seem worth it going all the way back up to the surface.

This tunnel was wider, easily wide enough for people to walk three abreast. The air felt stuffy, hot around Emery and Sera, and with every step that they took the warmth seemed to grow. Before long they were both breathing hard, practically panting even though their pace hadn't gotten any quicker. "Damn it's hot," Sera huffed, letting the torch fall to the ground. There was more lichen and fungi glowing on the walls so even with the dying light of the torch, it was still pretty easy to see.

"Fuck, it really is," Emery groaned. "Maybe there's a hot spring nearby, or...or..." Her worlds trailed off, the otter groaning lightly. She felt filled with tension, the cause of which she couldn't quite place. There was a knot in her stomach and the otter felt...squirmy from something that she couldn't figure out. Sera was the same, the dragoness's tail twisting and wriggling about behind her.

"Something doesn't f-feel right," Sera panted, trying to figure out precisely what but it was feeling hard to think, the dragoness's thoughts getting sluggish.

Emery was feeling the same, trying to figure out what was happening. But there was a rather familiar feeling of discomfort as well and, completely automatically, Emery reached down to adjust herself in her pants. The moment that her hand brushed against her hard, straining length, the otter let out a loud gasp, her hips jerking on their own. It felt like there was a sudden wet spot on her panties, a little spurt of precum spurting from her tip. Suddenly everything clicked into place, Emery blushing hard. "H-Heat!" she gasped, fists clenched on her thighs; there was an obvious tent in the otter's clothing and she was struggling not to touch her length again. Heat made it crazy sensitive and the arousal was just climbing higher with each second.

Sera knew that she was right the moment that she heard the words, the dragoness's own mind making the connections. Suddenly she was very aware of just how wet she was in her own panties, how her pussy was dripping into the fabric. There was an ache in her belly that came from the heat, making it hard to think about anything else. Where...nnnggh...where did this come from? Is it a curse? The thing that overpowered the ward? Or--f-fuck!--is it a natural magical effect?

"Th-This is being caused by magic," Sera said through gritted teeth, the dragoness squeezing her thighs together. "Fuck! We n-need to..."

She didn't get to finish the sentence, the black dragoness's muzzle falling open as she looked at Emery. Unable to take the feeling of her cock being constrained by her clothing anymore, the otter began to strip as fast as she could. An embarrassed flush coloured the otter's furred cheeks but it wasn't enough to stop her from taking off all over her clothes as fast as she could, even her shirt. Sera tried to resist for a little longer, gripping her shirt with white knuckles, but the feeling of being covered by her clothing was too much for the dragoness. Her clothes joined Emery's in a pile on the floor, an identical blush visible across Sera's muzzle. Sera didn't fail to notice that her nipples were rock hard as she took her shirt off, the feeling of the fabric moving across them and her tits seemingly magnified a hundredfold by the heat.

Need to...find a way...to reverse this! Sera though feverishly, but the ache between her legs was commanding more and more of her attention and not leaving much room for anything else. Her hands drew closer to her pussy entirely on their own, drawn there by the heat that was burning through her more powerfully than she'd ever felt before.

Emery was no better; the otter's tail was lifted lewdly high, showing off her rump. The cause of the need flooding her didn't really concern Emery at that point, the otter more interested in trying to deal with it. Before she knew what was happening, her left hand was on one of her breasts, squeezing and kneading it gently, while her other one slid between her legs, gripping tightly. The sensation of both of those at once made the otter's knees weak, a moan slipping from her muzzle before she even knew it was happening. Every part of her seemed more sensitive, but that was especially true for her tits and between her legs. The simple touches felt almost overwhelming, but not painfully so, just flooding Emery's mind and drowning everything else out.

Sera actually did fall to her knees, shuddering with both of her hands between her legs, one hand thrusting two fingers into herself while the other rubbed feverishly at her clit. Any thought of magic and trying to reverse whatever this was vanished from the dragoness's head as she squirmed in place on the ground. Maybe...hnnggfff...maybe if we cum, the heat will lessen enough for me to think--a-ah!--straight! The dragoness's brain seized on that thought and she looked towards Emery. The otter was leaning against the wall, using it to support herself as she continued groping and stroking at herself. Already on her knees, some part of Sera's brain made a connection and then seized on it. Her body seemed to be on autopilot as she squirmed in place for a second and then walked on her knees the short distance over to Emery.

They'd spent a lot of time together but this was definitely something new. But the heats both of them were neck-deep in soothed over any inhibitions or anxieties, simply making sating the need the highest priority. So it was with only the slightest hesitation that Emery moved her hand away from her cock, looking down and seeing Sera staring up at her with a red, blushing face. If it wasn't for the curse, neither of them would have been able to do this so casually, but that was a concern for later. A soft whine sounded in the otter's throat and she pushed her hips forwards, towards the dragoness's muzzle. Sera, taking that as implicit consent, pressed her head forwards at once, nuzzling at the otter's sheathe and balls. The feminine scent was familiar, given how long they'd been travelling together, though Sera had never smelled it quite like this.

That wasn't stopping her though, not even close. The dragoness pressed and nuzzled against Emery for a few moments, only able to bear teasing for that long herself. When Sera couldn't hold herself back any further, she lifted her muzzle a little further, opening it and taking the otter's length into her maw. Her muzzle wasn't all that long but it was long enough to take the first few inches of Emery's cock easily. At once, the otter gave a loud gasp, arching and humping towards Sera's face. Sera's soft mmmph was almost completely lost with her mouth full, as she slid the rest of the cock into her muzzle, only stopping when her nose kissed her sheath.

Sera couldn't leave her own need completely unattended to either. One of the dragoness's hands was rolling and pinching one of her nipples, switching between them every few seconds. The other was between her legs, rubbing and stroking at her dripping folds, occasionally thrusting a finger into her entrance for a few seconds. Her attention was split between that and the cock in her muzzle, the dragoness panting through her nose. With both of her own hands now free, Emery moved both of them to her tits, massaging and kneading them at the same time. Giving a soft moan, Sera began to suckle and bob her head a little, her tail lifting high as though hoping someone else would take advantage of the offer.

With all of the extra sensitivity from the heat curse coursing through the both of them, it wasn't taking much for Emery to cum, the otter rapidly approaching the peak already. The feeling of a warm, wet muzzle around her cock, suckling and licking, was almost overstimulating in its intensity, but it was definitely propelling the otter towards an orgasm faster than she'd ever felt in her life. She pushed her hips towards Sera in another shuddering thrust, moaning with every breath in between deep pants.

There was a tingling sensation growing at her crotch as well, though that was far overshadowed by everything else she was feeling. Still, the closer that she got to her climax, the more that the tingling grew. It became rather like some strange kind of buzz, centred on her cock, but Emery didn't care at all, closing her eyes and arching further into Sera's muzzle as she began to...began to...

Emery gave a thin whine, opening her eyes again. She felt like she was hanging right on the edge! She was about to cum, but even with all of the sensation from Sera's suckling muzzle, she couldn't get there. Confused, the otter looked down, past her tits. For a brief moment, the sight of what she saw was enough to break through the urge to cum and the overpowering arousal. There was...something happening to her! Her sheath, cock, and balls, or what she could see of both of them, had changed, becoming black and glossy in the light of the guttering torch and the glowing flora around them. And it wasn't stopping there: already, the blackness had covered her stomach and was flooding down her legs like an ink stain through paper. That was all that Emery managed to see before her cock seemed to get more sensitive by a thousand-fold, making the otter throw her head back, sure that she was about to cum.

Instead the magical curse transforming her just sped up, racing up the otter's torso and down her legs. Wherever it touched, Emery found that she couldn't move, not that she had much intention to do anything other than hump at Sera's muzzle. Her arms and hands were changed next, frozen mid-squeeze on her tits. She opened her muzzle and her eyes, torn between crying out in denied pleasure and warning Sera, before her head and face were frozen like that. Emery could still see, hear, smell, and--most importantly--feel, but she was helpless to move so much as a shiver. The need and arousal from the heat were still running through her and she could still feel Sera working over her length with her muzzle, but even though it felt like she was dancing across the edge of cumming, she couldn't push herself over! She couldn't cum!

The howl she wanted to make never got out of her transformed throat and mouth, though Sera hardly noticed. The dragoness had her eyes closed, still sucking and licking at the shaft in front of her. The dragoness's tail had coiled around, Sera figuring out that she could thrust the narrow tip into her pussy. One hand was rubbing and massaging her clit, while the other was still at her breasts. She was taking a little longer to cum than Emery since she had to rely on just her tail and hands, but she was rapidly approaching her own climax all the same. Heat really did make it easier.

One stray thought did manage to get through the haze of neediness. Is that...rubber I smell? she thought, the scent rather puzzling in a place like this, but it was quickly driven back out as the dragoness tensed, getting close now. Her tail moved faster and she gave a moan into the otter's cock. She was feeling the tingling herself now but it was hard to pay it much attention when she felt so close!

Sera's transformation was almost identical to Emery's and by the time that the dragoness noticed, it was far too late. Her eyes opened wide with shock as she found herself immobilised in place, the spreading black rubber transformation overtaking her limbs quickly. It was hard to care too much, since she was dangling right on the edge of cumming in what felt like the powerful orgasm of the dragoness's life, but in no time at all Sera was turned into a rubber statue. Just like Emery.

Her muzzle was still stuck on the otter's length, nose touching Emery's sheath, though she couldn't suckle or lick anymore. Nevertheless, it seemed enough to keep Emery on edge, their new rubbery skin much, much more sensitive than their untransformed flesh. Just...a little bit...more! Emery moaned, the words not leaving her own head. Even a squeeze or two to her tits felt like it'd tip her over the edge, but she couldn't move a muscle.

Hnnnggg...I can't use magic or anything... Fuck, just let me cum! Sera howled, likewise completely mute. There wasn't a single thing that either of them could do, stewing in their need.

Before Emery or Sera could really begin to dwell on the prospect of being down here forever, trapped like this, they heard footsteps. Helpless, and barely able to concentrate on the sound with the burning need filling both of them, they tensed, straining to turn towards the sound but still remaining completely motionless. The rubber statues felt a little kernel of worry mix with the arousal, because the footsteps weren't coming from the direction of the surface... They were coming from the direction they'd been heading, further underground.
