I pulled my mind back off of the flying pokemon and onto our destination then started walking with the others. They glanced at me and the little dragon said "He was off in his own little dream land." I glanced at him and he continued "I think he does that to much, but I can't be sure. Maybe his friend Flame could tell us better than I could. Better yet, what about you girls? Think he dreams to much or that he's good as he is?" The girls ignored him and kept giving me strange looks, which made Maya laugh and Lia glare at them. The dragon snickered and I looked at him questioningly then glanced over to see Nika studying Riana slightly more carefully than the others and Slayer let out a slight laugh. The dragon and Slayer seemed able to comunicate since the dragon said "It appears that the legendary blades still exist. I thought they were all destroyed so long ago. So then, I have to ask what allowed you to survive Slayer?"

Slayer laughed ironicallyand said "None of us were destroyed, however I thought the dragons were all gone besides the more common dragon types. I guess they were wrong when they said that the children of Arceus died years ago." The dragon nodded and all of us kept walking while I tried to figure out what they were talking about. I'd never heard of the children of Arceus but I knew that everyone believed Arceus was the pokemon that had created the world. I blinked and Slayer continued "The last time one of your kind was seen was about seventeen to twenty years ago." I blinked confused then started to mention that was when my grandfather had last seen the dragon or any dragons and decided to let it lye after a few seconds.I yawned as Slayer and the dragon started going on about things I didn't understand then glanced at the girls to see that they were all a few feet away talking amongst themselves. Then I finally noticed slayer was floating a long next to me and thought "Talk about being unobservant. I didn't even notice he'd moved. Same goes for the girls, man I'm off today." I shook my head then blinked when I saw a sign that said "Welcome to Cerulean City!"

I blinked and said "Guys, I think we're at Cerulean." The dragon looked at me questioningly and I pointed at the sign then said "That's just the largest sign, their's also the fact that we're about ten feet from a building that says Cerulean gym, and that the pokemon center has a sign that says 'Welcome to Cerulean City all coordinators!'." The dragon growled and the girls all started laughing. I blinked and said "Sorry if I made anyone feel dumb, just thought it would be wise to point out how I realized this was Cerulean and not some other town. Although we could have headed to verdiian city." Maya glared at me and I said "I'm just stating a fact, from there we could have gone to pallet town, but atleast we can do some stuff here." Maya nodded and we headed to the pokemon center. As soon as we walked in I saw that it was overloaded with people. I glanced at Maya and said "I have enough money to spring for a few hotel rooms, unless you, Lia, Miss Nika, and the girls would rather stay here." They started conversing among themselves while I asked nurse joy to take care of a few of my pokemon. After a few minutes I glanced at the girls and Maya said "We'll take you up on that hotel." I nodded and the three of us headed to the hotel next to the gym.

I walked in and glanced at the girls then said "How many rooms you guys want?" They discussed it among themselves then the girls said "We're bunking with you Jace. Maya and Lia want their own room, and Nika doesn't care where she stays." I nodded and got two rooms then tossed Maya her key and headed to my own room. I opened the door and let Flame out then ducked as the girls dived in onto the bed. The dragon looked at me and said "Quick moves, I didn't even hear them coming." I shrugged and tossed my bag onto a chair then headed downstairs to contact Doc and my mom. I walked over to the videophone and called Doc. He answered on the third ring and I said "Hey Doc, miss me?"

He nodded and said "Yes, although I recieved your muk and caterpie. Your caterpie is rather friendly, however your muk prefers to keep to itself. I'm not worried, it'll find itself right at home as time goes on." I nodded and he said "So why'd you call?" I grinned and said "My charmander evolved into a charmeleon, I met a really strange lucario, and I got my first gym badge." He blinked and said "A lucario in the kanto region?" I nodded and he said "Well that's interesting, and I'm glad to hear your charmander evolved, but you're slightly behind Lena who's already gotten two badges and sent me several pokemon." I blinked slightly surprised and he said "She was in Cerulean city a few days ago then got her badge and headed onto get her thunder badge." I sighed and said "Well that sucks. How many pokemon does she have?" Doc smiled slightly and said "12, you only have 8 if I remember correctly." I sighed and said "Nine if you count the one I just got so I'm sending you my pidgeoto." He nodded and I placed the pokeball in the transporter then leaned back and said "Doc do you have my grandfather and dad's old journals?" He nodded and I asked "Can you have mom send them to me in Cerulean?" He nodded again and said "Are you going to take after your father or your grandfather?" I shrugged slightly and said "I'm thinking about following both."

Doc laughed and said "Heaven help the organizations like team rocket then. You're father tried to become a pokemon champion, and your grandfather sought out the legendaries, I wonder if he ever found arceus. He wouldn't tell me." I nodded in understanding then said "Well Doc I better call mom. I told her I'd call her with an anouncement on how my journey was going at every city and I forgot to in pewter city." He nodded and we hung up then I called mom. She answered on the first ring and I said "Hey Mom, it's Jace I'm in Cerulean City." She smiled and said "Hey Honey. I just talked to the Proffessor yesterday and he said Lena was just there. Did you win your gym battle in Pewter City?" I nodded and she asked "What was the cave to Cerulean city like?" I thought about it and asked "What cave? We traveled through a forest." She stared at me surprised then asked "So have you made any friends?" I nodded and said "I'm travelling with a coordinator Maya, and a friend of mine named Steve is on his way to vermilion city." She smiled slightly and said "Well I heard your friend Roran is there in Cerulean City." I blinked and asked "Where?" She grinned and said "Over at the breeder's hut on the way to Vermilion City." I blinked and said "Roran is becoming a breeder?" She nodded and we traded a few more pleasantries then got off.

I headed up to my room then decided to check on Maya and knocked on her door. After a few minutes of hearing strange sounds she answered looking rather disheveled. I smiled and "Hey Maya, just making sure you guys are alright." She nodded and I left it at that then headed to my room.I opened the door and had to duck as a firespin went flying where my head had just been. I glanced at them and said "Am I suddenly a target for death or something?" Flame stopped himself from attacking again and said "Sorry, Slayer said he sensed someone at the door." I blinked and he said "I know what you're about to ask and Nika said she wants to stay in our room. Lia is also staying here, while Maya and the rest of her pokemon are staying next door." I nodded and said "I figured she was staying with her pokemon, but I was wondering if any of you wanted to head out to see my friend Roran." The girl's and Nika all agreed while Flame said "I'll stay here and guard the room." I nodded and the rest of us started outside. I led the way while trying to remember the map of Cerulean city I'd seen in Doc's lab. After about ten minutes we passed the local bikeshop and I saw a directory.

Everyone looked at me when I stopped and I explained "I haven't been here before, but I have a feeling that this directory might just lead us where we want to go." I studied the directory and commited it to memory then started for the edge of town with my mind going over everything that had happened recently. I almost passed the breeders until I heard someone let out a whistle. Dusk and Silver started growling while Rianna, Nika, and Lia's ears twitched trying to pinpoint the sound. I turned slowly as a grin spread across my face then yelled "RORY YOU OLD DOG, YOU!!!!!!" A young man who was about five foot eight with dark hair, brown eyes, and a sturdy build grinned at me and said "Hey Wolf boy, remember me?" I grinned and said "You're the dog who forgets your friends all the time." He jumped over the fence of the house he was at and tackled me then the two of us rolled around wrestling. Dusk formed a shadow ball, Silver prepared a fire blast, Lia prepared an iron tail attack, and Nika and Rianna prepared aura spheres. Finally I ended up on top and saw what they were doing then said "STOP!!!! We're just messing around, and he lost." Rory blinked and said "I think I'm done messing around like old times, your pokemon are very protective of you." I nodded slowly and we got up then dusted ourselves off.

The girls slowly claled off their attacks and I silently thought "What the hell is making them act as if the slightest trouble will break me into a milllion pieces. I mean for christ's sake, I can defend myself." I stretched out and all of us headed inside as Rory explained about his plan to become a better breeder than anyone even the former pewter city gym leader Brock who was reputed as one of the best. I knew that Rory wanted to become a breeder stemmed from watching his father's old pokemon pass away from a sickness, and the fact that his nature was that of a helpful person. I stopped while everyone else kept going and studied my old friend. He was definently stronger than when we'd last seen each other, and he seemed more confident. He carried himself differently, and his eyes had lost some of the bleakness they had back in town. After a few minutes he glanced back at me and said "Coming, or are you going to keep staring at the girls' tails. After all you once told me you found pokemon's tails beautiful." I tackled him and started punching him saying " I thought we agreed those conversations were private you fin lover!!!!" He glared at me and the two of us rolled into the breeder's shack beating the crap out of each other. The breeder and the girls pulled us apart while Slayer laughed softly about what we'd said.

I glanced at Rory as the girl's let go of me and he shrugged as if to say "Sorry." I nodded and the two of us left it at that as he introduced his teacher to me.Rory glanced from his teacher to me then back and said "Jace this is my teacher Leo Jionna. Teacher this is my old friend Jace Shadows." I nodded to him and Rory said "He's a friend from my hometown, I'm kind of surprised he left." I raised an eyebrow and he said "What I thought you'd stick around and take over for the proffessor, since you never seemed to like watching pokemon battle each other and get hurt." I nodded remembering that then shrugged as if to say 'People change, what can you do?' His teacher smiled slightly and Rory sighed then motioned for everyone to take a seat as he walked into the kitchen to make everyone drinks. I yawned and glanced at his teacher who seemed to be studying the girls and kept glancing at me out of the corner of his eye. I shrugged figuring it wasn't all that important that he was watching me then sat down and had the girls all sit around me.

I blinked and said "What the heck is going on? You won't let me out of your site, if I end up in the slightest appearnce of trouble you get angry at the one causing it, and you guys act like I'll breakif I'm out of your site for to long." Roik's teacher burst out laughing and said "I thoguht your pokemon seemed slightly more attached than normal pokemon and their trainers." I raised an eyebrow and said "They're not normal they're extraordinary. Each of them has seen more things than you could imagine, and I've been through some of it. Our bond comes from that." He nodded and let it go. The girls studied me then Rianna, Nika, and Lia all hugged me while Silver and Dusk jumped into my lap. I looked at them and they said "Thanks." I shrugged and left it at that as Rory walked in and started handing everyone glasses of lemonade. I drained mine in a few seconds and handed the glass back to Rory while everyone else drank theirs slowly. I tried to stretch out my arms but couldn't because the girls were squeezing me in. I glanced at them and asked "Is their a reason, that after I handed my glass over, my arms were restrained?" They smiled at me innocently and I shook my head sighing.

Rory's teacher laughed and said "It appears your pokemon are the master's in this situation." I shrugged and kept my mouth shut as Rory said "I know their extremely protective of him, and by the way the two lucario are acting I think they'll be going into heat in the next few weeks." I glanced at Rianna and Nika who wouldn't meet my eyes. Lia laughed and said "Ha I got lucky on that, my heat cycle doesn't start for another few months." Silver and Dusk said something similiar about it starting in a month or two so they felt sorry for the lucario. I blinked and said "Oh shit, it's Rianna's first heat.... Nika you mind explaining it to her, and WILL YOU GUYS GET OFF ME!!!!" They all jumped up and I stood up then looked at Rory and said "I was wondering if you would like to travel with the girls, my new friend Maya, and me." Rory glanced at his teacher who said "It's the slow season, I have nothing I need you for. However if you like you can stay here until your friend leaves town." I grinned and slapped him on the back then said "Well I'm going to head back to my hotel and get some sleep. I'm expecting a package, a contest battle, and a gym battle so I'll be here for a while." He nodded and we left letting his teacher and himself get everything important out of the way so they could say goodbye.

When I got home I passed out on my bed while the girls took turns taking showers. I was out for about three hours and when I woke up I saw the girls, flame, and the dragon were sitting on one of the beds talking. They glanced at me when I got out of bed then turned away as I walked to the bathroom and took a much needed shower. After about fifteen minutes I got out of the shower and combed my hair then noticed that I had a scar going down the rigt side of my face over my eye. I stared at myself and said "That's new, and since when have my irises been gold? I always thought they were green or blue. Strange, but then again it's not unusal for my eyes to change color." I ran a hand down the scar and said "This on the other hand is way out of the ordinary, I'd have sworn I didn'thave any scars when I went to bed. However now I've got a scar almost like a mightyena's going down my right eye." I shook my head figuring my mind was playing tricks on me and walked into the room. Everyone glanced at me when I walked in then Nika and Rianna said "The hotel manager came up while you were asleep. He wanted to know if you and Maya were going to increase the amount of time you were staying. We told him you were and he just added another three nights onto your account." I smiled at them in gratitude then slowly pulled on my clothes and rann a hand through the hole that I'd somehow gotten in my hat. Nika pulled Slayer out and he said "How long do you plan on staying here, Jace?" I shrugged and he let the matter drop then started speaking with Flame and our dragon companion.

Dusk and Silver layed down on my bed after I pulled on my shirt and Lia, who'd stayed in our room last night, asked me "Are you going to go get your gym badge today?" I shook my head and said "I think I'm going to let everyone relax for a few days, then do some training with Rianna, Silver, and Dusk since I haven't seen them fight yet. After that I guess I'll challenge a few other trainers to make some cash, and we can all watch Maya's contest battle then head on to the next city. Although I think I'd like to stop at Maren town along the way and pick up some special equipment." She nodded and I stretched out then pulled on my hat and said "I'm going to head downstairs and get some breakfast, anyone want to come with me?" Rianna, Nika, Flame, Dusk, Silver, and Lia agreed, while the little dragon and Slayer said they would stay in the hotel room. I nodded understanding that both would cause a stir among the people if they were seen and we all headed downstairs. When we got downstairs I saw Maya and surprisingly enough, Steve, sitting together at a table eating frenchtoast and talking. We walked over and sat down. Steve grinned at me and said "How's my Bagon doing?" I shrugged and said "I don't really know. I was planning on saving her for my next gym battle since as a ground type she'll have an advantage over surge's electirc types."

He nodded in understanding and Maya said "I didn't know you two knew each other. How'd you meet?" I raised an eyebrow and said "I was about to ask you the same question, but Steve and I met outside of Pewter city. He challenged me and the prize was one of our pokemon. I one and his bagon seemed to want to go with me so the two of us left it at that. I thought you were on your way to Vermilion or Veridian City, not Cerulean." He smiled slightly and said "I met Maya while I was here in town and I got to Veridian, but their gym was closed." I nodded remembering hearing a rumor that the Veridian city gym had been closed for a long time. Steve shook his head and said "Maya mentioned that she was travelling with someone she just didn't say who. So what happened to your charmander and riolu?" I grinned slightly and said "My riolu evolved, same with my charmander, poochyena, and vulpix." He grinned and said "Wow it's only been a week since we saw each other and already you guys have gained a lot of experience." I shrugged and said "I guess. Would you like to meet the gang?" He nodded and I let out a soft whistle causing everyone else to walk over rubbing their ears.

I smiled in apology and said "Rianna, Lady Nika, Silver, Dusk, Flame, this is Steve. You guys met him back in Pewter city but, you've evolved since then." Flame smiled slightly and said "How's your pokemon doing?" Steve smiled and made a so/so gesture. Flame glanced at Maya and said "So how are you guys doing?" She shrugged and Flame said "Are you ready for your cotest?" She nodded and Flame sat down then the waitress walked over and asked "What can I get for you guys?" Everyone glanced at the menu then told me their orders and I said "We'd like three orders of scrambled eggs, with sides of bacon. Two order's of pancakes with blueberries and lots of syrup, and two orders of french toast with a side of bacon and eggs." She wrote everything down then I said "For drinks I'll have a glass of milk, the others want two firewaters, one in a glass the other in a bowl, three glasses of juice, and a bowl of water." She wrote it all down then said "You're order should be ready in fifteen minutes." I smiled in appreciation and she walked away to give our orders to the chef.

Flame and Silver smiled at me for getting them firewater, Lia, Rianna, and Nika all thanked me for their juice, and Dusk thanked me for her water and eggs. I dug in my pocket and pulled out my pokedex then started going through the lists of pokemon it had in it's database. I blinked when it showed a picture of the little dragon with a question mark by it. I sighed and said "Looks like I'll be playing researcher as well as a trainer, coordinator, and breeder." Maya and Steve looked at me questioningly and I said "Don't worry about it, just thinking aloud." They nodded anf headed outside to prepare for Maya's contest. Dusk glaned at me and asked "Coordinator? You think you can do that without even watching a contest?" I glanced at her and said "I planned on using the time I stay at the hotel to learn more about you guys and watch videos about contests and battles, so I can be prepared." She stared at me with her mouth hanging open and Silver said "Dusk my friend, I think you should close your mouth before you catch flies." Dusk's jaws clicked shut and she laid her head on her paws. I moved over in the booth and Nika, Flame, and Rianna sat next to me. I glanced around when I noticed Lia was gone and said "Guess she went to work with Maya on their routine." The others nodded then Lia appeared next to me and said "Maya told me to eat breakfast, so here I am." I nodded and leaned back in the booth as the waitress brought our orders and we all started eating.

After about fifteen minutes everyone finished and I headed out to buy some stuff from the local pokemart. NIka, Rianna, Dusk, and Silver all went with me while Flame headed back upstairs and Lia went to train with Maya. Rianna glanced at me and said "So what are you going to pay for your supplies with?" I glanced at her and said "I have over a thousand bucks saved up from when I worked for Doc, and from our last couple of battles I got another couple of thousand bucks." She nodded and left it at that as we walked inside then the girls scattered. I blinked and thought "Even if their pokemon, females have to find the best equipment. Then again I've met quite a few guys including Rory who have to search for the cheapest yet best of anything they're looking for." I shook my head and walked straight over to videos then grabbed about a dozen. I checked around for the others and couldn't find them. I sighed then walked over out and started getting stuff I knew we'd need including potions, tm's, hm's, antidotes, burn heals, and paralyze heals. When I was getting ready to leave the store I saw a wooden broadsword and tossed it into the bag of stuff I was buying. After a few minutes of studying the sword I walked over to the checkout counter and the girls appeared each carrying an item.

I sighed and said "Toss them on the counter, I have more than enough to cover everything I bought, you guys will just top it all off." They set their stuff down and smiled at me then stood around as the cashier rang everything up. He glanced at me and said "That will be six thousand pokedollars." I pulled out my trainer card and handed it to him then watched as he swiped it and the money was taken out of my account. I sighed and put it back in my wallet then tossed most of the stuff into my bag and strapped the wooden sword onto my back. Nika glanced at me and said "So, why'd you by a wooden sword?" I smiled slightly and said "I thought I'd learn from you and Slayer how to fight, and it may come in handy." She nodded and dropped back to talk to the others. As soon as Nika was gone my senses went on high alert. I hadn't noticed it before we'd talke but ever since I'd bought the practice sword my senses seemed heightened. I could hear the birds, I could pick individual leaves out of the trees, heck I could hear the girls breathing from six feet bihend me. I blinked when I heard my name mentioned a few times then kept walking as if nothing had happened."

I heard something moving in the bushes nearby and my hand instinctively went to the handle of my practice sword which was sticking up over my right shoulder in easy reach. I kept walking, but my eyes were slowly scanning the area around us carefully. The girls growled deep in their throats so I knew that my instincts were right about whatever had moved in the bushes being an enemy. I glanced over at NIka who said "I'm glad I don't rely on Slayer for everything, otherwise we'd be in trouble." I nodded slightly as my eyes went back to roaming over the area and I saw something moving in the bushes. My first instinct was to jump in after it, however I controlled that urge. Rianna glanced at me and said "You know you've been growling at whatever's moving in the bushes?" I shook my head and she said "Seriously, you even have your teeth bared." I touched my face and found out she was right. She smiled and I said "I'm going to have to go what's in that bushes, or else my brain is going to go nuts." She nodded in understanding then Nika said "One of us is going wtih you, otherwise if it's a pokemon you won't be able to handle it." I raised an eyebrow and she said "I'm serious." I sighed and said softly "Fine, but when we get back to the hotel you and Rianna are going to see if you can teach me how to use aura." She nodded and Dusk walked over volunteering to go into the woods with me.

The two of us dived into the bushes and found what appeared to be an injured stantler, being protected by a suicune and attacked by a group of persians. I rushed into them and started attacking them with my wooden sword while Rianna scattered any I missed with aura sphere attacks. The suicune saw us and prepared to attack then seemed to catch my eye and I nodded. It stopped and I stood over them keeping the persians back while Rianna prepared an extremely powerful aura sphere. I studied each of the persians then noticed that one which was missing an eye seemed to be directing them. I glanced at Rianna and said "Knock out old one eye and I'll catch him, then the rest will scatter." She nodded and I slashed a Persian that jumped close. Rianna finished charging up the aura sphere and I ran through the persians scattering them. Old one eye as I was thinking of him jumped at me and Rianna's aura sphere caught him mid leap. I threw a pokeball when he landed from the blast and it started quivering. I watched when the light went out and the pokeball dissapeared. I smiled at Rianna and said "They're done. Let's get these two out of here." She nodded and I put my sword onto my back again, then we put the stantler up and I supported it. Rianna glanced at the suicune who just walked over to us and watched me suspciously.

We walked back out to the others and they said "WHAT HAPPENED!!!???" I explained and we started back to the pokemon center. Nika shook her head and said "I can't figure out what would cause pokemon to attack each other on the edge of a human town. I mean, an entire pack of persian attacking a lone stantler?" I shrugged and said "I can't figure out what would cause a stantler to be in Kanto anyway." Nika nodded in agreement with that and we walked into the pokemon center. I was about ready to collapse from exhaustion, and carrying the injured stantler. Nurse Joy ran over and had the chancey's prepare a gurney then they pulled it off my back and laid it ontop of the gurney. The suicune followed them into the emergency room and I sat down in a chair to wait. The girls sat down around me and I said "Nika you mind heading back to the hotel and telling the others what's going on?" She nodded and vanished in a matter of seconds. I blinked and said "So have to learn how you lucario do that."

Rianna laughed then started talking to Dusk and SIlver about what happened in the bushes. After about ten minutes Nurse Joy walked out and said "I have good news, the stantler you brought in will be fine in a few hours. However I want to know how it got into that condition." I unconsciously growled as I explained about the persians and she said "Wow, I think I'd better warn the trainers who pass through about that." I nodded and glanced at the girls then blinked when the suicune walked over and said "Thank you for helping the stantler even though you didn't have to."

I nodded and said "I'm Jace, who are you?" It smiled and said "I'm Aluina, the daughter of the west wind." I smiled and intoduced the others then said "We have hotel rooms across the road, would you like to stay with us?" She nodded and we all headed over to the hotel. I glanced at Aluina and said "I'm going to add another two rooms onto our bill." She nodded and I walked over to the counter then got two more rooms and headed upstairs. Steve glanced at me and said "Mind if I use one of your rooms." I nodded and pointed at one of the two free ones then directed Aluina to the other. I opened the door for her then handed her her key and went to my room. After a few minutes I went in and passed out on my bed thinking about the others and the stantler that had been injured in the woods.

The man appeared in Aluina's room and smiled at her then said "Good afternoon Aluina. Did you happen to get the boy to accept you into his group." She nodded and he sat down then explained what happened. The man smiled when he heard and asked "Do you think that he's ready for everything?" She nodded again then said "I believe he's a kind young man, and I believe he can handle anything we throw at him. Also his appearance is already starting to change." The man blinked and asked her "He's changing? So he's found the egg?" She nodded and said "He didn't notice it, but I saw the children of Arceus's mark on his palm." The man let out a loud laugh full of mirth and happiness then whispered something to Aluina and vanished. She stared where he'd just been and said softly "It's a dangerous game the children of Arceus and the children of Theus are playing. That poor boy's in the middle of it and I don't know what I can do to save him without dishonoring my family. Maybe those with him are the guardians spoken of in legend, if not then he had best learn to protect himself, because Theus's children have found him just like we have."

The dark man laughed as he watched the boy sleep then stepped into a shadowy portal and appeared in a room surrounded by a bunch of people wearing dark robes. He smiled and said softly "The Boy has the egg. I don't know what he can do with it, but the creature has been born. Now it's our time to choose a champion." A figure walked forward and said softly "I believe we should try to persuade the boy to our side. We failed with his grandfather, but look at what contributions his father has made." A figure with a scar across his face stepped forward and said softly "You're idea appears to be good. We'll see what the boy can do when the other egg comes to him, but if he refuses let's be ready to go through with his father's secondary plan." The dark man smiled slightly and walked out of the room as the scarred figure vanished into another room. He walked into his room and pointed at the half vaporeon girl standing against the wall.

She walked over and he said "Go to my chambers and prepare yourself." She nodded and rushed into his room he smiled and thought to himself "I love these half pokemon concubines." _ He took off his robe and looked into a mirror to make his concubine wait on his pleasure. He was a tall good looking man with black hair, red eyes, and a single x shaped scar on his right cheek. HIs build was rather athletic, without the muscles showing all of the time, and he was about 6 ft tall. He smiled slightly showing his canines which ended in sharp points. He slowly lowered his cloak and stepped into his room. He studied the young girl as he thought _"I'm glad my pawn did exactly as he was told. That fool doesn't realize that the boy is an important piece of the puzzel, but only if we have the legendaries. While the fools of Arceus watch him I'll search for the first suicune, and the true entei. The legendaries are ten times as important as the eggs, even if the boy gets both of them to hatch, after all without the legendaries Arceus is unable to be contacted."

He slipped into his bed and pushed the girl on her back studying the fear in her eyes. His own eyes softened slightly as he kissed her then he got up growling as he heard a bell summon him. He pulled on his clothing and slipped out of the room, giving the girl a warning look as he shut the door. He followed the sound of the summons into his commander's chamber and slammed the door behind him. His eyes burned with anger until he saw the man standing beside the commander. The man smiled slightly and said "It appears that you've found the old man's grandson." The dark man nodded slowly and dropped to one knee while bowing his head. The figure laughed and said "Rise Thorian, You are one of my greatest generals and have never shown a sign of betraying me so I trust you." Thorian slowly rose to his feet and said "I thought you were in Hoenn looking for Ho oh." The third figure who'd been silent until this point stood up and said "It's not for you to know what our commander does Thorian. It is only for you to follow his orders, and mine." Thorian glared at the man and said softly "Hold your tounge Yaven, or would you like me to seperate it from your head."

The man laughed softly and said Thorian, Yaven, both of you stop." They stopped instantly and he said "I'll reward you with the information you seek Thorian. I was in Hoenn looking for the esteemed bird Ho oh, however she left before I could reach her." Thorian bowed his head in understanding and the man said "I did however find the egg we were looking for in the mountains." Yaven smiled darkly and asked "Do you think that the fools of Arceus expected you to find it so easily my lord?" The man laughed and said "No, I think they expected me to search for it here in Kanto since this was where Theus fell. However I knew they wouldn't leave Theus's heir in his resting place." Yaven nodded and sat back down The man glanced at Thorian and said "I would like for you to go to the Johto region and contact the fools who we have working there. Tell them you are officially in charge on my orders, and that their knew goal is to find Lugia's resting place." Thorian nodded and walked out of the room to his own chambers deciding that his commander's orders could wait until the morning.

Yaven glared after Thorian and asked "Do you truly believe you can trust him my lord?" The man laughed and said "Yes I can trust him Yaven, but you can't. He would kill you in a second, however I saved his life and as such he believes it belongs to me. How has the boy been progressing?" Yaven sighed and explained about what little they knew of the boy then blinked as one of his master's personal servants, a half eevee half human girl, walked forward and handed him a glass of wine. He smiled at the girl and took a sip from the glass then said "I believe it's time we infiltrate the boy with our own member, did you destroy that pesky Arcanine?" Yaven swallowed loudly and said "We thought we did my lord, however when they went to retrieve the body it was gone. I've had some of my personal best searching for it ever since." The man nodded slowly and said "At least you tried to correct your mistake, so I will let this one pass. However do not fail me again Yaven, am I understood?" Yaven nodded and his master smiled then said "You are dismissed." Yaven slipped out of the door and into his own chambers then leaned on his wall thinking "I hope they find that beast before my lord truly gets angry. I think that fool Thorian will be raised above me at the slightest slip, so I must be careful."

The man stood in his chamber staring into his wine then said softly "Who do you think we should send Flarius?" A tall half flareon, hafl human male walked forward and said "Why not one of those little eevees you've been protecting?" The man laughed and said "You devious old beast you that's a wonderful idea. However what do we do to make sure the boy accepts them into his party?" Flarius smiled and said "We do the damsel in distress. The boy saves her, we hide the egg on her, and eventually if he's the one it'll hatch. By then she'll have found a way to work with him, however I say we use the most innocent of your minions." The man nodded and said "On his way to Vermilion City I'll make sure it happens, for now I'll let everyone relax. Anyway, Flarius tell anyone who looks for me to wait until the morning, and in the morning make sure Thorian leaves." Flarus nodded and walked out of the room as his master put his arm around the eevee girl's waist and walked into his bed room.
