Maalum: *getting up, confused* Reirei. What happened?!

Reirei: Well...

She tells him what happened between them.

Maalum: No. *feeling terrible* NO! *crying* We shouldn't have done that. We betrayed Kion.

Reirei: It's not your fault. Scar took over your body. *nuzzles him*

Maalum: *backing off* Don't touch me. I... I can't... I can't live like this. I need to stop Scar. And there's only one thing I can do.

Reirei: What are you gonna do?

Maalum: I... I'm gonna kill Scar. *starts running away*

Reirei: *thinks* How is he gonna do that?

Maalum runs to the Cikha Escarpment, stopping at the edge of the higher rock.

Maalum: *crying* I can't hurt Kion. I can't live like this. There's only one way to stop Scar.

He starts walking, closing his eyes, ready to die. Then he hears a voice inside his head.

Voice: Maalum.

The hybrid stops, opening his eyes.

Maalum: Scar?! I-Is that you?!

Scar: Maalum. Don't do that.

Maalum: Why not?! *upset* You're making me hurt Kion. You're making me do terrible things.

Scar: If you die, you will hurt him too. But I can help you. I can stop your pain.

Maalum: I don't believe in you.

Scar: I can make you stop hurting Kion. But I need you to help me.

Maalum: Why should I help a monster like you?

Scar: Because if you do what I want, I won't kill anyone.

Maalum thinks for a while.

Maalum: You promise me you won't hurt Kion? You promise me you won't kill anyone?

Scar: I promise.

Once again, he thinks for a while. He doesn't want to help Scar, but he wants to protect Kion.

Maalum: Ok, Scar. What do you need?

Scar: I need you to clean your mind so I can have total control over you.

Maalum: What?! *shocked* I can't do that.

Scar: If you want to protect Kion, this is the only way.

Silence for a while.

Scar: You can trust me.

Maalum: Fine. *walks off of the edge of the rock* What do I have to do?

Scar: Clean your mind. Stop thinking. Release your spirit.

Maalum closes his eyes and tries not to think about anyone or anything. A lot of memories appear in his mind, mostly about Kion and their happy moments. Then... black. He can't see or hear anything. Now he's not Maalum anymore. He is only Scar. The hybrid opens his green eyes and smiles evilly.

Scar: Thank you, Maalum. For everything.

He uses the Roar to destroy a big rock.

Scar: Hahahahahaha!
