#8 of Min the Monster Lover

Min visits a supposedly long abandoned island, and finds that it isn't so abandoned after all. :3

This vignette was written for Kio Redsen as part of my themed Patreon request day for March 2020. This month's theme was "New Horizons" and the story contains M/F sexual acts between an anthro woman and a monster, both consenting adults. :3

The Forgotten Guardian

Min stood and watched as the small boat faded away into the distance, then took a deep breath of the cool, salty air, and turned towards the island upon which it had left her. The only anthro upon the small single square kilometre of rock and grassland, which hadn't been permanently inhabited since the early nineteenth century. Hoisting her backpack, hearing it jangling with the various items of camping equipment contained within, the clouded leopard strode off away from the sandy shoreline where the boat had set her loose. She padded through the dunes and the brambles beyond them, and before long emerged out onto a windswept plain of meadows and shrubs, the existing tree-cover having long since been cut down for wood and the winds that tended to batter the island throughout the winter and spring months of the year keeping any new saplings from successfully taking root without any cover to shield them. Now though, there was little in the way of wind beyond the normal sea breeze, and everything was cool, quiet, and exceptionally peaceful.

Of course, Min wasn't just here to get away from it all. She was here because of a legend. More specifically a folk tale in a book about the people who had lived here until the Highland clearances took place and drove most of the non land-owning folk away to distant shores. To most people the folk tale would have read like so many others from across not just Scotland's past, but tales with similar elements from across the world. A protector spirit which, when appeased, would guard the island and its people from storms and famine and people even within their communities who would mean them harm. But given her expertise, her direct experience with the supernatural in a very, very intimate sense, Min could tell a story passed down from generation to generation about a hypothetical protector spirit which acted indirectly from stories of a physical entity that moved amongst people with its own will. She could tell a myth from a monster, and this, however pleasant and beloved by the former inhabitants of the island, was most definitely a tale about a monster.

For that reason alone, Min was here. She was here to meet that monster, and thus before long went about setting up her camp in a suitable spot amidst tumble-down stone walls and piles of rubble which had no doubt once been a small settlement for the people who lived here. She pitched her tent a short distance away from the houses, near a large, flat stone protruding a couple of feet from the ground which if nothing else would serve as a useful table when it came time for her to eat. After that, she walked the island a little more. She smiled as from the northern coast she could just make out the shore of the next island in the chain of many dotted across the west coast of the Scottish highlands, and giggled as she startled a ground nesting seagull which clearly hadn't expected to see an anthro here on its island by the loud, panicked squawk it uttered as it stumbled and fluttered wildly in its attempt to get away and take flight.

Before long though, Min found herself back at her camp and reading through the book containing the monster's myth. She leaned up against the standing rock with her back to it, and after half an hour or so pulled out one of the ration kits she'd bought herself for her three day, two night stay here. She ate seated at her makeshift stone table while still reading the book, and smiled warmly to herself as she wondered what it must have been like for the people here to know a real monster in a very different way from the manner in which she had known so many. And, indeed, what it must have been like for the monster to be so beloved by its local mortals, rather than feared. How it had come to be a protector, how it must have saved a life or averted a disaster for the first time by exposing itself to the land's people.

By the time Min found the light fading, she had read through most of the book all over again. Upon realising the time and the state of the setting sun though, and given the lack of anything to do and the limited power supply in her torches and other electronic supplies, the clouded leopard resolved to simply turn in for the night, and make a more concerted effort to search for any signs of the monster tomorrow. It remained in her thoughts however as she scrambled into her weatherproof tent, as set set up her sleeping bag and ensured that the ground beneath her upon which she was to be sleeping was as comfortable as possible, and she was still thinking about the creature, longing for its presence and for it to know of hers, when she stripped out of her clothes to the last garment and scrambled naked into the rather warm, thermally insulated sleeping bag she'd purchased especially for this trip.

For at least an hour, Min lay awake and in deep thought about the monster. She thought about what it might look like. Whether over the years it had grown less fond of mortal creatures after all, or if perhaps it even missed them. She wondered what happened to monsters without mortal contact to energise them, whether through fear or cherished adoration or desire or anything else. Did they fade away to nothing? Did they slumber? Or, did they simply stand and wait, aware of every moment of the years, the decades, the centuries that might pass? She trembled in horror at that latter thought, and sought comfort in more positive fantasies. Quivering, blushing, Min felt one of her hands drift from where they were crossed over her stomach down to rest between her legs. She raked her fingers through her fluffy, neatly trimmed pubic fur, but just as she was wondering how the monster might possibly greet a willing, eager, naked mortal like herself after centuries of possible loneliness... she heard something from outside.

Not the wind.

Not any natural sound for sure.

It sounded like... hooves. Not galloping, but thudding dully, steadily across grassy, moist earth. She didn't dare move, she didn't dare hope that she wasn't half asleep and imagining it as some sort of hypnogogic hallucination. But then she heard the whinny, loud and clear and real, and sat bolt upright. Without even thinking about her nudity she raced to the hatch of her tent, shrugging her sleeping bag off as she crawled, and seconds later she was tumbling out into the darkness with her lantern torch illuminated in her right hand.

In the ring of light from the electric lantern, a single object was illuminated in stark contrast to the flat, grassy land and occasional piles of mossy grey stone stretching out on all sides. A figure standing no more than five metres away from the tent. A quadruped equine in its basic form, but with bladder-wrack seaweed for its mane, hooves that looked like scallop shells in their grooves and colouration, and with patches of barnacles across the flanks of its smooth, hairless, grey-blue and glistening, dolphin-like skin. Upon its head four twinkling azure blue eyes blinked in warm and curious unison at Min, and as she stared back at it, at the monster which protected the island long ago, the clouded leopard's face burst into the most giddy, dazzling grin.

"I... I believe."

She whispered breathlessly, instinctively moving a hand to her heart upon her bare chest as she did so. She felt the monster's gaze shift, following her hand. Even when she withdrew her digits from her heart though, Min swore that its gaze lingered upon her bare breasts.

"I believe..."

The clouded leopard echoed, giggling as she swore that the monster jumped slightly, like it had been transfixed by the sight of her and wasn't expecting her voice to ring out again so soon.

"...and I'm very, very excited to meet you."

Softly, the monster gave another equine-like whickering snort, and it began to clop forward upon its shell patterned hooves. Min remained still, and she gasped as the creature lowered its head, closed its eyes, and nuzzled gently up against her heart with the tip of its snout. Or rather, close to her heart; in the end aiming more between the valley of her exposed breasts, and remaining there even as its four eyes opened and peered deep into hers.

Giggling as she reached up a hand slowly, and pressed it to the smooth, warm, damp flesh of the side of the monster's neck, Min bowed her own head forward until her forehead was resting against the equine monster's own. She stroked its neck, then lifted her other hand and caressed the monster's face. It trembled against her touch, and as it whinnied softly, Min could almost feel the relief, the joy at the contact with another tangible, sapient soul again after so, so long. She sniffled, feeling tears springing to her eyes as once more she thought about how lonely it must have been for the monster. But then she smiled, and tilted her head just a little so she could kiss it upon the forehead, and whisper tenderly to it as its snout nuzzled and huffed all the more tenderly between her breasts.

"I'm here."

She whispered tenderly to the equine monster.

"I'm here now, I believe in you... a-and... and you don't have to be alone any more."

It whinnied again, pulled its head back gently just enough to raise it level with the clouded leopard's own, and bumped its snout ever so delicately against Min's own. She beamed, and kissed him on the nose. Then, a moment later, on the lips.

"Tonight, you don't have to be alone."

She murmured, stepping back not to leave the monster, but to show her naked body to it in all its glory. Glancing around, a playful grin crossed Min's face, and she beckoned for the monster to follow her as she darted back into her tent from the waist up, ass swaying with her tail purposefully raised, returned with her sleeping bag being dragged behind her, and padded hurriedly over to the flat rock where she had eaten earlier.

Gently she laid the sleeping bag out upon the rock, then scrambled up onto it, and lay down upon her back. She hoped she was right about this, and when she looked over to see the equine monster watching, and spread her legs to show off her pussy to its four glowing blue eyes, she moaned softly. Min trembled as the monster snorted, pawed at the ground with its forelegs, and trotted towards her as between its hind legs a curved, pink length of flesh that moved with prehensile purpose began to swell. The beautiful monster approached the rock and reared back slightly to plant its forelegs upon it, shifting forward little by little until it was straddling Min and peering down between its front limbs at her flushed face. She wasn't just looking up at it in return though. She was looking at the monster's ever larger, pink, fleshly and entirely mobile cock that was as much a tentacle as it was any sort of erection she had witnessed outside of her other monstrous encounters. When she looked at its strangeness though, she did so only with even greater lust in her eyes, and turned that hungry gaze back up to the monster's four glowing eyes with a throaty groan.

"I'm here for the next two nights, t-the days too, if you can spare them. Stay with me. Let me share myself with you, a-and then..."

She trembled, and cried out happily as the equine monster's hips rocked, and its tendril of a cock lurched forward to probe and tease between her legs, juices already glistening all around her needy depths as it began to slip inside of her.

"...then, when I leave, I'll take your tale with me. I'll hold it in my... ah... my heart, believe in you wherever I am. And soon, y-you'll be free to ro-ooohh... roam the world wherever you wish, and visit me whenever you want to... t-to... _ah! Oh, god... r-right there! Yes! I... ooohhh fuck, yes! _"
