It was a warm summer night in the port side town of Brey. A town that was normally quite peaceful had recently become all the talk due to recent events.

The breeze was cool as it blew in from the ocean through the town as it's citizens began to wind down for the night, however the tavern was still alive with the cheer of people and the songs of bards.

At one table, sitting by herself was a tall and voluptuous dragon hybrid. She had bright red skin that always had a lovely sheen on it, her hair was dark red and pulled back into a messy ponytail. Her eyes were also red, however they were piercing and easily intimidated people if she stared at them long enough.

The dragoness' body was to die for. She had wide hips, a large, naturally cushioned rear and an ample chest. Just above her shapely, generous rear was a long, thick scaly tail. Her hands and forearms were more beastlike, the same with her legs. Each forearm was covered in thick, hard red scales that were darker than her skin and went all the way down to her large hands, each finger ending in a sharp claw. The scales travelled up her much more human like shoulders.

Instead of human legs she had digitigrade legs, both large and covered in scales all the way down to her arched feet that stood on three strong clawed toes. Due to this she was unable to wear human pants effectively so she had to settle for loincloths, though for a woman her size it was hard getting ones that covered her large, soft rear properly. The same went for her massive chest, she had to settle for a simple leather strap bra to hold her large girls in place and keep them somewhat covered.

The red dragon hybrid was knocking back tankard after tankard of ale, having successfully completed a job issued by a well known noble of the town. She was celebrating with her newly acquired fat pouch of coins to spend. She downed another tankard, ale spilling from it and pooling in her cleavage, it was no problem for her, she set the tankard back on the table and let her long tongue lap it up.

She was having some trouble lapping it up with just her tongue, though thanks to the size of her breasts the solution was easy. She folded her arms under her chest and lifted them up, she lowered her face making the two meet and noisily slurped up the rest of her ale that was there. She raised her head, smacking her lips, a satisfied look on her face as her cheeks were flushed.

Cheers came from the bar as a group of locals saw her, a wave of cat calls coming from them followed by some wolf whistles.

"Yeah! Mind if I finish my drink by sucking it off your fat dragon tits too?" one rather boisterous man yelled.

The dragoness smiled, showing her sharp almost shark like teeth and ran her tongue over her plump lips, "Don't be shy, boy. Come over here." she goaded.

The man wasted no time standing up from his bar stool, a tent already in his pants, but before he could even start walking over to the large woman a much smaller one got in this way.

In front of the horny male was a small kobold girl standing at just over 3ft and wearing scholar robes. Her face was cute, adorable even. Her pretty reptilian face was covered in smooth light green scales with her underbelly and nethers being a more pale cream colour. Her large eyes were emerald green and sparkling, her hair was made up of green feathers, the same colour as her scales and on top of her head were two cute horns.

"Oi! watch it, you pint sized lizard!" the man grunted at her, annoyed she got in his way to his prize. Soon his perverted gazed realized something, while this kobold was small she was very stacked under that robe. He could see the robe hugging her bubble butt and her fat tits, it looked like she wasn't even wearing undergarments.

"Actually, you'll do just fine yourself." the drunk man jeered, making a move to grab the kobold.

The kobold's dainty face turned into a scowl, her snout showing her sharp fangs as she looked up at the man. She only came up to his belly, since kobolds were known for being so small, however, for her this was perfect. She could see the man's tent and reached her hand just under it, seizing the man's rather large left testicle through his pants and putting the squeeze on it, making sure her claws were threatening to pierce right into it.

The man let out a loud yelp as his testicle crunched softly in the kobold's tightening grip, "Go back to your bar stool or I'll rip this off!" the small reptile seethed out, pulling on his nut, putting painful tension on the cords to get the point across.

Another whimper came from the man, softer this time but judging by the way his face was twisted in pain it was clear the small hands of the kobold were not to be trifled with. The man nodded his head rapidly, "Yes, miss! Sorry, miss!" the man said repeatedly till she finally let go. With a grunt, the man held his nut and quickly fell back, sitting on the stool he got up from.

One of his friends stood up, "Hey! What gives you the right to do that!" he shouted to the kobold who instantly locked eyes with him. Her emerald eyes seem to draw him in and with a wave of her hand the man instantly fell asleep, face hitting his tankard and covering his face in ale as he snoozed.

"Who's casting spells in here?" came the cry of a very old fox woman behind the bar, she was wearing thick glasses and waving her walking cane around, "No spells allowed in here! Them's the rules!" she said in her shrill voice before settling back down and serving drinks again.

With a sigh the green kobold wiped the hand she used to crush the man's ball on her robe as she walked over to the large dragoness who was giggling, "You know, Maela. Normally I'd complain about you cockblocking me, but watching you crush that guy's grape was hilarious." the red woman said, still giggling.

Maela sighed, clearly her friend was wasted. Again. She climbed up on the chair and sat down on her knees, so her head could be visible over the table since the dragoness was a big girl, she needed a table her size.

"And you, Ruby, should know better than to get wasted in a tavern with your purse full of coin sitting on the table, in the open for everyone to see. You know we are in South Quarter right? Well known for its crime." The kobold said, flustered, more so at what just happened than with her friend.

"South Quarter, Smouth Quarter." Ruby brushed off her friend's argument with a wave of her hand, "Who here is going to stop me? You yourself took down a human man TWICE YOUR SIZE with one hand, literally!"

It was Maela's turn to wave her hand dismissively, "Ever since those relics that been washing up on the beach this town has been going crazy with arrogant reassure hunters."

Maela reached out with both her hands and took hold of the tankard in front of her, she brought it to her mouth and then flicked her tongue out, lapping up the ale cutely. Ruby grinned ear from ear, "I'm sure you can make a girl happy with that tongue." She said with a suggestive eyebrow wiggle.

This comment made Maela spit out into the tankard. The force made it blowback all over herself, soaking her robes and making it reek of booze. Ruby bellowed out laughing, slamming her fist down on the table. The bards took this as a sign to play a jaunty tune to keep the spirits high and the place lively. People cheered and joined in for a song and dance.

"Damn it, Ruby. Must you be so, UGH!" Maela grunted, stopping herself from using some choice words to describe the dragoness right now.

"Teehee!" Ruby giggled in an overly girlish voice, "I'm sorry, Maela - I truly am. You are just so fun to tease. It's all that uptight book reading that you do that makes you so much susceptible to it." Ruby remarked, raising the tankard to her lips to take another big swig.

Maela's eyes flashed a bit before Ruby's tankard splashed in her face, soaking the dragon. Ruby slowly lowered the cup, a big grin on her face, "Brat." she said in a playful tone.

Maela just smirked back, satisfied with her revenge, "Well, now that we've both had a 'bath' do you want to know what I found out?"

Ruby stirred her ale with her finger before putting it to her lips and sucking her finger clean, "Another job?" she asked, not looking at the kobold.

"Not precisely." the little lizard said before placing a large tome on the table, opening it up to take a leaflet out and hand it to Ruby.

Ruby took it and read it before placing it down on the table, "They closed down the beach and the cove?" Ruby asked.

"More than that, Rubes." Maela said, pointing to the bottom of the leaflet, "It's signed by monarchy. Not a mayor, not a noble - The Queen herself has passed royal order for it to be closed."

Ruby looked again and it was indeed the Queen's very own wax seal at the bottom. Ruby's eyes widened, both in confusion and intrigue, "Interesting, I heard there was trouble with people going missing during the excavation of the ruins they recently discovered in the cove." Ruby asked.

"Yes, the very one. And the strange things happening to the people on the beach, the ones who stayed there overnight to be the first ones to get some of the gold relics washing up. Maela said.

"Two more ales please, Mona." Ruby called out to the old vixen behind the bar, who promptly responded by turning sharply with her cane pointed out; not anywhere in Ruby's direction before she barked out, "Who's talking?!"

Ruby just shook her head before saying to Maela, "I heard some people were just staring at the ocean or the sky, mumbling to themselves and suddenly getting violent if people tried to get them away from there."

"Even worse I heard a woman had set herself on fire while screaming out in a weird language." Maela said, a ghastly look on her face. "You're right about people going missing in the ruins too. Not only have some locals who have gone exploring in there still not been found but they sent in a search party to find them. No one from it came back and it's been three days so far."

Maela was interrupted by a shapely human woman putting down another two fresh tankards, "Thank you!" Maela said, grabbing the tankard with both hands and lapping at it again.

Ruby downed her's and slammed the empty mug on the table, "Alright. Interesting enough as rumors go but is there any coin in it?"

"Well rumour has it Ms. Edwina Riveer, she herself is willing to pay very handsomely for any information on the missing scholars. They were from her academy and among the first to disappear." Maela said excitedly. "How often do we get a job like this! The chance to help people, solve a mystery, find lost knowledge! Oooh, it's so exciting!" the little scholar was getting giddy, that or the ale was taking effect.

"A noble lady, she should pay well then. All we need to do is find some scholars lost in some ruins. Shouldn't be too hard." Ruby said, tapping her finger on her chin.

Maela rolled her eyes, "Well yeah, if you want it to sound boring." she says, followed quickly by a giggle.

"So, you have a plan?" she asked the tipsy lizard.

Maela's eyes were closed, a soft blush on her face with a big smile. She happily shakes her head before opening her eyes to look at Ruby, "There is no way we can get royal mandate to let two adventurers in to nose around."

"Snout." jumped in the dragoness.

"Whatever." Maela remarked, cutting her off to continue. "Our best bet is to go at night. Since the area is off limits by the Queen herself we'll need to sneak in. Easy for me, not so much for a half dragon." Maela jabbed, covering her mouth with one small claw as she chuckled softly.

Ruby leaned on the table, her cleavage on full display as she bent forward, getting close to the kobold, her face twisting into a sneer "Oh, so it'll be a solo mission then? Just you and your book of tricks against the Queen's personal guard?"

Maela didn't respond, she was too busy lapping at her ale. Slowly putting the tankard back down the little kobold let out a loud relieved sigh. "Anyways, best to get some sleep now. We've got a few things to buy before the markets close tomorrow."

The kobold stood on wobbly legs and headed up the stairs to the second floor of the tavern where the guest rooms were. With a sigh Ruby followed her soon after, the mild buzz from the alcohol should be enough to help her sleep.

It had been two days since Ruby and Maela were in the tavern, they had spent time getting supplies ready and gathering more information on the place but all they got were superstitions and old wives tales. Maela even went to the local library to read up on the history of the place, she found nothing that mentioned a temple built by the sea.

The two even tried to recruit some locals to help them, none seemed interested, most clearly too scared to go near the place.

On the day of the mission, Maela and Ruby were both camping outside of town, the beach in question was only an hour walk from the city. The town of Brey was a portside town, the docks faced into a large bay called Morgona's Bite. On each side of the bay was narrow beaches, just after those were sheer cliffs. On both sides leading into the bay was a lighthouse, each one made out of stone but the one on the right, facing the bay was made to look like the shapely elf deity Morgona. The one on the left was made to look like her lover, another elf woman, Rava.

Just off the road leading up to the Morgana's lighthouse is where the two ladies made their camp. The plan was to eat lunch, sleep till night time then sneak into the cove. The two had laid out their bedrolls and Ruby was slowly stirring a bubbling pot of stew.

Maela was currently butt naked, but she had been friends with Ruby for a while so she didn't mind. She had washed her robe and hung it up near the fire to dry. A smirk spread across the dragoness' face as she watched the kobold's thick, chubby rear jiggle with each movement, she was standing on her tippy toes, trying to spread her robe out as much as possible so it would try quickly.

"You have the body of a princess, you know?" Ruby said, returning her focus to the stew.

"Oh! You noticed? Believe it or not but back in my tribe I was next in line for the throne. So that is royal booty you are leering at." Maela said, looking over her shoulder at her friend and sticking her tongue out.

A smile spread across Ruby's face as she looked back over to Maela, "Really? Is that why I had to pay for your wagon fare to Brey, your highness?"

The kobold laughed, hard. Putting both hands over her mouth as she couldn't help herself, "Oh man, you saw right through that one didn't you?" she said, wiping a tear from her eye.

"Royalty is more court intelligence than book smarts." the half dragon said, bringing the ladle to her lips to taste the stew.

Maela looked off into the distance, the surrounding area was beautiful woodland. "You're not wrong. It's more about how to lead the people and the conviction about what you say." she mumbled, almost trailing off as she just looked out into the woods. Being tranced just by watching the birds break through the sun rays through the treetops.

"You okay?" Ruby asked her, snapping her back to reality.

"Yes, I'm fine. Just got tranced by nature." she said, her tone chipper as she walked to the log, sitting next to Ruby.

Maela opened up her bag and pulled out one of her books, "Here is something you might find interesting, Ruby." the kobold said as she flicked through the pages, landing on a detailed sketch of a map.

"See this?" Maela asked, holding the book up to her.

Ruby could see on the two page spread what appeared to be a map of the area they were in, the region at least, She could clearly make out Brey. "A map? Never knew you were into cartography."

"Look at this," Maela said, pointing to the bay that Brey was built next too, "You know why it is called Morgana's Bite?"

The dragoness shook her head.

"Well according to old elf folktale, Morgana - one of their deities bit off one of Aldo's testicles, her lover at the time cause he committed adultery and after that she gave it as a gift to her new lover, Rava who it's said she was with forever after. Then it's said that Rava dropped it into the ocean and it formed this continent." Maela told her.

Ruby smiled, "Interesting legend, if you want to believe we are all living off some elf guy's nut. Think it's true?"

"Well there is reason to believe so as the elven society here is a matriarchy, though that is also because elven men are rare, normally only one in every eighteen children is male. Also ancient woodsy law states a wife is allowed to bite off her lover's testicle if adultery is committed." Maela said, her tail flicking a bit as she was excited to share the knowledge she knew.

"Huh..." Ruby took two bowls and started filling them with the delicious smelling stew. "All I know of them is they are the oldest of all the races here and they don't like people in their parts of the forest."

"Yes, I've heard gruesome tales of what happens to those who try to defy them, but we are getting off track." Maela said as she took the offered bowl of steaming stew, blowing on it to help it cool down. "We need to discuss what we are doing tonight."

Ruby nodded her head, "We'll wake up around midnight, make our way to the beach under the cover of dark, hiding in the thick foliage that grows on the sides of the cliffs. Scope the place out, knock out any guards if needed then find the scholars." she brought the bowl to her mouth, quietly drinking the stew.

"That's right and remember; no unnecessary bloodshed. I don't want a repeat of Mongo's Bandit hideout again." the kobold gave a sideways glance to the dragoness.

"He was holding you up as a hostage with a knife to your neck. I'm not apologizing for saving you." Ruby replied, a bit miffed.

"And I don't expect you too, but you didn't need to smash a warhammer into his crotch either, turning his testicles into this." Maela swished the bowl of stew around to make her point.

"He had it coming for calling me a salamander slut." Ruby smirked, the memory fresh in her mind. She remembered the crunch as the heavy iron hammer crashed into the man's testicles with enough force to lift him off the ground.

"Yes, yes. But please do not do that to the royal guards, there is no telling how dire the consequences could be if they find out it was us there." Maela told Ruby, pointing her spoon at her for emphasis.

"Don't worry, I won't. I'm more cool headed than you remember, shortie."

"Only sometimes." Maela said, breaking a loaf of bread and dunking it into the stew.

Night had fallen many hours ago and in the very early hours of the morning two scalie ladies were sneaking their way through the thick foliage that separated the cliff face from the beach. Moving slowly and carefully the two ended up coming to the end of the foliage, hiding in it as they scoped out the long stretch of beach ahead of them.

Tents and long abandoned fire pits were left, The Queen's Banners flapping in the breeze and a single sign post stating there was no entry allowed unless by royal order. But no royal guards. The tents and fire pits were new but no sign of life was on the beach.

"Something about this isn't right." Ruby said, her face poking out from behind a large tree trunk.

Maela's snout appeared just over a fern, her emerald eyes gazing over the scene, "Something about this isn't right at all. Let's be careful, Rubes."

The two leave their hiding spot, moving out into the open beach, the soft sand giving under the weight of their feet as they approach the makeshift camp. They can see footprints still in the beach sand, leading to the hole in the cliff wall.

"There." Maela says softly, pointing to the hole in the cliff side, "That's where the hidden cove was found."

They continue their way towards it, slowly. Keeping their ears and eyes peeled for anything. It was quiet, but they could hear something. Coming from a tent near them was mumbling. It was incoherent. Ruby and Maela exchange a look, both unsure of what to do.

"Ignore it, we don't want to be spotted here." Ruby says, still heading to the hole.

"What if they are hurt and need help. I mean, no one else is here to help them." Maela protested, a strong gust of wind blowing down the empty beach as she said it.

"Maela, don't risk it."

The kobold didn't listen, her small feet took off to the tent opening the flap, inside was a man, wearing royal guard chainmail sitting down, rocking back and forth, a blank look of his face as he muttered.

"She calls... She calls... Mother of the Stars... She calls..." he mumbled out just above a whisper, over and over again.

"Um, sir. Do you need aid?" Maela asked, feeling a bit uneasy. The human man's skin was very pale, his lips and eyes having a sickly bluish tint to them as he just looked up, mumbling as he rocked.

It didn't take long for Ruby to join her, standing at the entrance of the tent, hunched over so she could see in. She looked to Maela who looked at her, completely confused. The small reptilian woman cleared her throat and spoke louder, "Sir? Are you well?"

The man stopped rocking, he looked towards the two voluptuous women who were staring at him wide eyed.

"YOU ARE NOT HER!" he hissed at them, spit flying out of his mouth. He resumed hugging his knees to his chest and mumbling louder.

Maela jumped back, frightened at the man's sudden reaction. She was calmed as Ruby put her giant hand on her shoulder, squeezing it gently as she led her away from the tent. The small kobold was shaken, but quickly gained her resolve.

"I don't get it, the Queen's personal guard as some of the best warriors in the land and even they are being affected by whatever is happening here?"

Ruby interjected, "And if we don't get out of here we could very well end up the same."

"Ruby, please." Maela turned to face her friend, her tiny hands grabbing her loincloth and pulling on it to keep the dragon lady from walking off, "We need to help these people. You know how many have gone missing. Curses, hexes, witchcraft be damned. We can't let these people suffer here, like him." she said, pointing to the tent they had just left.

"Maela, I know you love helping people, but this is serious stuff, very serious stuff. We are a kobold and a dragon hybrid. We can't handle this by ourselves. We can go back to town and report this, get more help here." Ruby tried to reason with Maela, she could see what was happening here was having an effect on her.

Maela shook her head, "No. We need to help them now, Ruby. I got the brains and you got the brawn. Leaving now will just add these people to the ever growing list of missing persons."

The kobold steeled her nerves, looking at the black hole in the side of the cliff. Then turned to her friend, "I'm sorry, Ruby." she said before running off towards it.

"Maela!" the dragoness called out, wasting no time in chasing after her friend, despite her short size and the amount of time she spent in the library, the kobold was quite spry.

Ruby chased after her, soon they had both crossed the threshold into the hidden cove inside of the cliff. Inside it was dark, very dark, the sound of the waves crashing of the rock could be heard and echoed in the chamber.

"Maela?... Maela!" Ruby called out as she stumbled in the darkness, her large feet crunching the sand underfoot.

"I'm here." Maela said back.

Ruby could hear the sound of the small kobold shuffling around in the dark, "I can't see anything."

"I have a light, hold on... Ouch!" the kobold yelped in pain.

"What's wrong?" Ruby rushed over to the sound of her friend.

"Ugh, I just walked tits first into a rock."

The dragoness snorted.

"It's not funny!" Maela snapped at her. The kobold rummaged around in her satchel till her little clawed hand found what she was looking for.

"You know we really should have lit a torch before coming in here." Ruby said before light filled the cave.

She looked over, Maela was holding a stick in her hand, the end had a glass bubble and inside was a moth, it's fluttering wings sending out bright blue light.

"It's a Luna Moth." the kobold said, proud of herself. "They only work at night, they are magically created insects, when it flaps its wings, it radiates light." the moth in the globe gently butted against it as it flapped around the enclosed space.

Ruby sighed, "Maela, I'm not letting you go in there by yourself. Are you sure you want to do this?"

Maela held the rod to her chest and nodded her head, her gaze moving to look at the sand floor "I don't want to abandon these people. If it was me, I'd want to be found." she said, her shimmering green eyes looking back to her tall friend.

The dragoness sighed again, placing her hand on the kobold's head and petting her, "Alright, let's go save these people."

"Thank you, Ruby. I would have been so scared if I had to go by myself."

"Yet, you ran in here without so much as a second thought. You care too much about others you know." Ruby lightly scolded her friend.

"I know." Maela said softly, sounding a bit defeated.

"Well, we are in here now." the tall red girl looked towards the opening, seeing the moonlit beach outside, "Might as well commit to it now."

"Right!" Maela said, perking up a bit as she held the luna moth rod over her head, lighting up more of the cave. The moth fluttered its wings faster, brightening the soft blue glow more. The cave was unremarkable, stalagmites and stalactites, a few rocks and beach sand for ground. As they moved a bit more into the cave, the old ruins came into their lights glow, illuminating it for them to see.

Both women let out a remark of wonder as they stared at the ruins. Ancient, didn't describe it; they looked like they were here almost before time.

"Incredible!" Maela called out, jogging up to the entrance of the old temple. It was a simple tall opening leading into them, but the stone work was unlike anything they've ever seen before. It was green stone, completely smooth with no rough edges, almost like jade coloured clay.

The kobold ran her fingers across it, "Amazing, it feels so smooth. It's not like anything I have seen before. Could it be from a lost civilization we have no history on?" Maela marveled, thinking out loud as she kept examining the stone work.

Ruby wasn't sure what to make of it, she followed the kobold as she reached one of the two giant pillars on either side of the entrance, each one made of the same stone, covered in symbols neither of them recognized and with tentacles carved, wrapping around the pillar.

"Hold this." Maela said, thrusting the luna moth rod to Ruby who took it, "I need to get a charcoal rubbing of these."

The giddy scholar ripped a blank sheet of paper from one of her many tomes and held it to the pillar. With her other hand she rubbed the charcoal stick over it, copying the symbols well enough for her to study later.

"Marvelous! What could these mean? Do you see the tentacle wrapping around the pillar, it must be to some ancient sea deity. That would explain why it was built next to the ocean." Maela pondered, "Come. Come! We must go deeper." she said, taking the rod back off Ruby and heading inside.

Inside the temple, the stone was the same, smooth and green, a long hall led them past various murals, each one depicting a lady, wearing a white dress. Her face had no features due to the simple art style, she was shown in a royal or superior way over the other people in the pictures. She was depicted commanding people and performing miracles. The art was very subjective as the murals had taken damage over the years.

The last mural showed the woman with her arms out in front of the night sky, though this time she had piercing gold eyes.

"Do you think that is the one the man in the tent was talking about? Mother of the Stars he called her." Maela asked Ruby.

"I don't know, Maela. The man wasn't all there, though it's possible before losing his basket he saw these pictures they are helped him form this Mother of the Stars character." Ruby replied.

The two were interrupted by a soft banging sound coming from deeper in the temple. It was the only sound they heard over their footsteps, the sound of the moth lightly tapping on the glass and water dripping.

"Do you hear that?"

"Yes," Maela said, turning to look down the pitch black hall, "It's coming from deeper within."

Both ladies carried on deeper into the temple, the soft banging sound getting louder as they progressed, the sound of water dripping too. Soon they could see light ahead, warm yellow light of fire. The two increased their speed, jogging into the large antechamber.

The antechamber was massive, the floor of it was covered in bodies, the missing people they could only guess, each of them had the same pale skin and bluish lips and eyes. It was hard to tell if they were alive or dead, some looked to be breathing, though slowly and with great difficulty. Maela gasped, covering her mouth at the sight. Ruby's eyes were drawn to the middle of the room. There was a stone altar or ritual table and kneeling beside it was another one of the royal guards, banging his bare forehead on the stone.

"She calls... She calls... Must join the reunion, the arrival, the..." Bang! He slammed his head against the bloody spot on the altar before slumping over limp to the floor.

Maela and Ruby rushed over to the man. The kobold shook his shoulder trying to get him to stir but he didn't respond, "Mister, please get up we are here to help!" the kobold begged him as she kept shaking. His forehead was caved in, like he had been doing that for hours, the blood that poured down his face had dried long ago.

While her friend was trying to get the man to respond, Ruby was looking around the room. Past the altar was a pool, a large one, so deep and black she couldn't see the bottom to it, but the water was stirring. Small bubbles rose to the surface and the sound of water dripping got louder.

Drip. Drip. Drip.

"Maela... We should go!" Ruby said as she slowly backed up.

"Sir! Please respond!" Maela shouted. She dug into her satchel again, pulling out a small potion. She lifted the man's head and poured it into his mouth, trying to get him to swallow it.

Drip. Drip. Drip.

"Maela!" Ruby said, grabbing her shoulder.

"I can help him! I'm not leaving him like this!" the kobold said, her voice breaking as she tried holding tears back.

Drip! Drip! Drip!

The sound of water dripping echoed throughout the room, the intensity getting higher, each one sounding like a stormy wave hitting the haul of a ship. The bubbles in the black pool got more aggressive. Something was rising.

DRIP! DRIP! DRIP!

"Maela, please! We need to go NOW!" Ruby begged, grabbing the kobold girl and pulling her away from the dead man.

Maela wiped her face on her sleeve as she seemed to regain her composure but it was too late. A giant explosion erupted from the pool, showering the two in water as what was rising from the depth found them. Ruby had her eyes shut tight, fear was taking over the large woman, she held her hand in front of her face, shielding herself from the water. She slowly cracked her eye open, risking a look at what had just risen.

She saw tentacles, large and long. She followed them up, up and up to what they connected to. Six long and large tentacles were the legs of a large woman. The same one depicted in the murals they saw in the hallway leading here.

The woman's cephalopod lower half connected to her mid thigh, each leg ending in three long, thick tentacles. The skin was pale, almost white. Her hips were wide and her chest large. The woman's body was dressed in a simple white dress that showed a lot of skin and what was covered could be seen due to the wet cloth being transparent. Her nipples were hard and obvious. The face was slim, a bit narrow looking but quite pretty, her features were a bit different. Her cheekbones were high and her nose quite long, her eyes much larger than a normal persons, they were piercing gold in colour.

The woman's human arms were longer than normal, her nails ending in well kept, but sharp claws. Her arms were adorned in gold jewelry, the biggest of which sat on her head, some strange kind of crown that completely covered the top and back of her head as it went back into a long cone. The head piece was covered in the same symbols as the pillar.

The large, strange looking woman hissed softly, she was floating in mid air, her eyes fixed on the two intruders. Her long tentacle legs moved and swayed softly as if they were swimming in invisible water. The woman slowly floated down to the ground, standing upright on her tentacle legs. She stood well over 10ft tall, looking down at the two women.

"What do we have here? Another two here to answer the call of the one true Queen?" the woman asked, sliding over very gracefully and elegantly on her tentacles closer to the women. Her voice was mature, sultry and the way she pronounced words was clear she had intelligence but she had a thick accent, impossible to tell where it was from other than far, far away. So far away neither of them have ever heard it before.

The only weapon Ruby had on her was a short sword, though it looked more like a dagger in her hand. She pulled it out, holding it defensively as she had the luna moth rod in her other hand. While it wasn't much of a weapon by itself it was better than nothing.

"I'm raising an army and I could use a general. You are clearly a fit woman who could lead. You're tall, strong and not afraid to face off against things well over your own abilities." the lady said with a small chuckle as she sat back in mid air, her tentacles strong enough to hold her in a sitting position. Every time she spoke, each word was said slowly and with purpose.

"A generous offer I assure you, since the alternative is to die here." a twisted smile spread across the woman's face as she stared at Ruby, right into her bright red eyes.

"Who are you... What are you?" Ruby asked the woman, she was scared but her body remained still as stone as she held her weapon out, ready to strike. Maela was standing behind her, peeking out behind her leg.

"I'm... Very old." she replied, another soft giggle coming from her. "You couldn't pronounce my name in your tongue. I will allow you to call me what my first worshippers did, the ones that built this temple, oh so long ago."

The woman stood back up, holding her hands to her side and slowly raising them as if showing herself off in her full glory.

"I am Mother Hydra." she stated a proud smile on her face as her gaze returned to the dragoness.

Ruby stood still, her petrified body starting to relax as the adrenaline calmed down a bit in her, but she was still ready to pounce. "And what are you?"

This earned another bemused laugh from Mother Hydra who stood back up, slowly circling her long, lithe but curvy body around the two. "I already told you. Very old. Very, very old. So old in fact that this temple used to be under the sea." the bemused goddess answered.

"But that would have been many thousands of years ago." Maela peeped up.

"Many hundred of thousands years ago, child. My knowledge of the above world isn't what it used to be, but I'm quite sure I date back longer than your species."

"But... How is it possible you are still alive? It's not possible!" Maela said, her words stammering as she spoke.

"I've been here longer than all the stars in the sky." she replied, before turning her attention back to Ruby.

"Now it's your turn to answer!" Mother Hydra said, her long body was very swift and nimble. She put her face right in front of Ruby's, her piercing yellow eyes like two suns that burned through her soul. "Will you be my general willingly or will I take you by force?" she asked again, her sharp teeth showing past her full lips.

"And if I accept, what will happen to my friend?" Ruby asked while Maela stayed quiet.

"I have no need for another scholar, the one I have now was of no help." the ancient woman said, moving one hand to the pool of water and snapping her fingers.

From it rose a bubble, sitting inside was a young blonde male, very young and boyish looking. He was wearing scholar robes. He was still conscious. The bubble slowly drifted over between her and Ruby, before setting on the floor and popping, the boy inside gasping for air. He was covered in slime, trying in vain to use his dirty robe to wipe his face clean.

"I used this boy for knowledge but unfortunately he couldn't help me much. Then I was going to use him for breeding however we were interrupted." Mother Hydra said, disappointment in her voice.

Her massive hand reached down and she gently traced along his face with one clawed finger, "His cranium was so promising for information too. It's simple, she will take his place and give me the knowledge I need of the above world or she will join the rest here." she said, grabbing the boy by the wrist and holding him up in the air, towards Ruby like he was luggage to be handed off.

"Do we have a deal?"

Maela tugged on Ruby's loincloth, getting her attention. "That boy is one of the scholars from the academy. You can tell by the insignia on his robe."

Ruby thought for a minute before answering, "No deal. We'll be taking this boy and leaving if you don't mind."

Mother Hydra's smile didn't falter at all, she dropped the boy who cried out as he hit the stone floor. Maela helped him up to his feet as Ruby stood in front of them, weapons ready for a fight. "Let us leave peacefully."

"Leave peacefully? How outrageous! Let me have my servants escort you out." the ancient entity snapped her fingers again, the snap echoing off the walls.

With lifeless groans all the people who were on the floor rose to their feet, even the royal guard with the head trauma stood up. Everyone looked like a zombie as if they were being controlled against their will.

"She is here, she is here! Mother of the Stars and Seas." they all said in union.

Mother Hydra laughs as she stands up straight, backing away to let her servants get to work, "How loyal my followers are! Play nicely, I don't want her dead, just maimed."

The mind controlled horde slowly started shuffling towards Ruby. Maela pulled the scholar boy back to the hallway, "Run back to town!" she said and pushed the boy towards the exit. As the boy ran a magical shield barred the exit to the antechamber.

"You both will stay and fight!" Mother Hydra hissed.

With the boy on his way to safety it was just Maela and Ruby there to face the encouraging horde, "Don't kill them, Ruby. They aren't doing this of their own free will."

Ruby nodded, "I know." she said, holding her weapons out, ready to parry the first strike towards her.

The first few to attack were just unarmed peasants, Ruby easily pushed them to the side, letting them topple over and slowly get back up. She was more worried about the ones with weapons, a few of them; guards and some other adventurers.

Ruby roughly pushed down a few more commoners, getting them out of the way. One charged at her, she lowered her big body and slammed her shoulder into his gut, then she stood up lifting him up and throwing him over her back, making him land on the ground face up. He groaned in pain, but Maela came in with the finisher. She rose her book above her head and slammed the heavy tome down spine first on his crotch. Squish!

The man gurgled in pain, convulsing a bit before going limp on the floor, "Just like squashing an oversized bug!" the kobold said.

Ruby was busy fending off men with swords to acknowledge how bad her one liner was. She held the staff up, blocking their blows and locked into a struggle of power. They pushed her back, she pushed them forward. Her clawed feet dug into the ground, trying to find firm footholds as she pushed and pushed! Finally knocking the possessed men back, making one drop his weapon.

With her short sword clenched tightly in her fist, using it as an improvise knuckle duster of sorts. She sent a haymaker to the nearest guy, knocking him out cold and making him slump to the ground but by the time he was down another was attacking her. With the sword still in her hand Ruby grabbed the luna moth rod with both hands, using it as a staff. She hooked the back of the man's leg, tripping him over. While he was laying dazed on his back she jammed the end of the rod hard into his groin with a soft crunch. The man grunted, barely reacting other than holding his crotch and then passing out.

As Ruby pulled the rod back she was about to be hit by a guard holding a mace but with a bright flash, a bolt of magic shot past Ruby and hit the man square in the chest, knocking him back.

"Thanks, Maela." Ruby said, panting slightly.

"My pleasure." the kobold replied, opening her book up and running two fingers down the page. The symbols on the page lit up and the kobold had her next spell ready.

Holding her hand out in front of her, Maela channeled her magic at a man stumbling towards Ruby from the rear. His hands out as if to grope her stacked rear. The lizard girl grit her teeth as she unleashed her spell, making a pillar of rock shoot up between the man's legs, lifting him off the ground. Splat!

The man groaned, his legs hanging in the air as he held his crotch, before he fell off the rock pillar to the hard floor.

"Got'cha!" Maela said with a smirk on her face.

Ruby had picked up one more man and slammed him into the ground by his neck before stomping forward, taking care of another one advancing on her with a solid kick between his legs. The force of the blow lifted the man off the ground.

A sultry chuckle came from the ancient deity as she watched, "You both seem to have a favorite spot to target." Mother Hydra looked amused, seemingly not caring that her mind controlled 'army' was being defeated one after the other.

Neither of the women responded to her, both were engaged in a struggle of survival, busting balls left and right to make sure their opponents stayed down. Maela was slinging spells, a mad grin on her face as it had been a while since she last got to throw magic around. She launches a lightning bolt at a man carrying a halberd, roasting his nuts. She giggled happily.

Slowly the two had whittled down all the mind controlled men that stood against them. None fatally injured, but all needing an ice pack for their swollen manhood. Both were panting, catching their breath as Mother Hydra stood up on her tentacles, clapping for the two.

"Quite the show! Bards will sing songs of your heroism." she said, slithering over to the pool, snapping her fingers and making another bubble rise out.

"But there is just one more left." she said, the bubble landing on the ground, popping to reveal what was hidden inside.

To Ruby's surprise it was another dragon hybrid. He stood taller, a head taller than Ruby and was packed with muscles. Strong legs, arms and abs.

"Quite the looker isn't he? I found this poor boy swimming in the sea near my temple. I can't remember his name, I just call him Spike." she said, glee in her voice as the 'Spike' stood at full height.

"However, there is one more kicker to this fight." Mother Hydra chuckled as she extended her, making Spike's eyes glow the fiery yellow colour as her own. "He won't be a slow imbecile." she chuckled.

Spike roared, holding his hands out, ready to grapple and wrestle with Ruby. He slowly circled around her as she did the same. All the while Mother Hydra was floating behind him, puppeteering his actions, controlling him directly.

He took the first attack, opening with a punch, Ruby ducked it and swung her tail around, trying to trip him but he jumped over it. The two exchanged blows, delivering powerful punches to each other's face and gut, Ruby was unlucky enough to take one to her breast, making tears form in her eyes.

Maela flipped some pages in her book, finding a new spell to cast to help her friend. Mother Hydra saw this and extended her long hand out, shooting a powerful jet of water out of it, making the kobold girl drop her book and dodge the attack, "Don't interfere!"

Ruby took this small distraction and sent an uppercut into Spike's jaw, sending him stumbling back. Each hit made Mother Hydra grunt as if she herself was feeling the blows Spike received. Ruby sent another punch while he was staggered but he caught her fist in his hand and headbutted her.

Ruby stumbled back, holding her bleeding nose with both hands. She was enjoying this, there were few things a dragon lady liked more than getting dirty with her own bare hands. She licked the blood off her lips and jumped at Spike, knocking him to the ground as she sat on top of him. She screamed out as she sent blow after blow into his handsome face, fattening his lips, breaking his nose and giving him a black eye.

This victory was short lived as she was rolled over, Spike now on top and sending hard punches back to her. Mother Hydra chuckled before sending another fist crashing into Ruby's already sore breast.

"Ahhh!" she cried out, one hand poorly trying to cover her overly large rack. With her other hand, she went back to basic female instinct, she grabbed his hair and pulled hard. Spike cried out in pain, less so him and more his controller.

"Fighting like a common whore I see." Mother Hydra laughed out.

"No. Common whore's fight like this!" Ruby spat back as she moved the hand from her breasts to under Spike's loincloth. She grabbed hold of his cantaloupe sized testicles and squeezed. She grunted with effort as her hand bared down on his tender nut meat, making them squish softly in her powerful fist.

Spike mimicked Mother Hydra's reaction as she felt nut pain for the first time. Her pupils shrunk as the pain set in, she threw her head back and screeched out in pain. Spike's hands grabbed her wrist desperate to be free of her vise like grip. Ruby slowly got back up to her feet, her hand never leaving Spike's genitals as she pulled him up by them.

"Whores also do this too!" she grunted and violently twisted the male dragon's nutsack with a satisfying CRUNCH!

Another fresh cry of pain came from Mother Hydra whose hands were firmly clutching her crotch, "You horrible bitch!" she said, her voice strained as the veins in her neck stood out.

Maela jumped for joy and cheered, "What did you think was going to happen taking direct control of a man? Ruby wouldn't crush his testes?"

"Silence... You!" Mother Hydra struggled to say, breathing heavily as she tried to get used to the pain, enough to raise a fist to send a punch. But it never happened, as soon as her fist was raised Ruby let go of Spike's berries, grabbing both his hands, holding them up so he couldn't defend himself. She looked behind Spike to Mother Hydra who was still floating behind him. With a cocky look on her sore and bloody face she saw the fear set into the Goddess.

"Don't you dare! Don't you dare!" she said, struggling in Ruby's grip to break free. Ruby lifted her knee hard, slamming it right into Spike's low hanging fruit and squishing them against his pelvis. SQUISH!

Mother Hydra's face twisted in pain, she gritted her teeth as she let out a loud grunt, "My pearls!"

"I'm not done yet, squid legs." Ruby snarked and lifted her knee again and again, two more hard knees right into the dragon's nuts, each one making a loud satisfying crunch sound that made Maela hold her own groin and groan in sympathy pain just from the sound.

Mother Hydra on the other hand screamed her voice raw, the testicle trauma overbearing to her as she lost concentration on the spell, breaking it. Spike fell to the floor, motionless. Mother Hydra on the other hand was rolling from side to side, tears running down her face as she tightly clutched her groin, the phantom pain still strong and lingering. This amount of pain also made her lose concentration on the magic barrier she put up that was trapping the two in the room.

Ruby and Maela took this chance to catch their breath, panting as the two scanned the room for any more threats. Ruby slowly lowered her weapons and Maela did the same with her book.

Mother Hydra slowly slunk back towards to black pool, hands still holding her crotch through her dress, "I'll get back at you two for this. Just you wait." she said as she slipped back below the water's surface, disappearing into the void light couldn't penetrate.

The two looked at each other. Ruby dropped her weapons on the ground and then fell back on her backside, taking a long needed rest. The kobold did the same, planting her cushy rear on the stone floor and exhaling.

Maela broke the silence first, looking at Ruby, "Holy crap."

Ruby chuckled, after what they just went through and that's all her friend had to say. Her chuckle turned into a laugh as she said it back to her, "Holy crap."

This in turn made Maela giggle even louder, "HOLY CRAP!" she shouted, her voice echoing off the stone walls. The kobold laid on her back, "I hope we don't see her again for a long time. Actually. EVER again."

"Agreed." Ruby breathed out, "A mind controlled army. We don't get paid enough for this."

Their moment was short lived as the sound of boots stomping down the stone hallway caught their attention, a pack of guards were walking over and stopped next to the pair. From behind the guards the small scholar boy pushed to the front.

He walked over to Maela, "Thank you for saving me." he said, a blush on his cheeks. He stumbled back as Maela threw her arms around the boy, pulling him down with her on the ground and hugging him tightly.

"Come on, lads. Let's secure this place and get these people out of here." the captain said as he and his troop got to work. Maela and Ruby helped out, getting the people who were recovering from the mind control spell out and back to their homes and families.

Glug, glug, glug. Ruby was downing tankard after tankard of ale, slamming each one down hard on the table as she let out a long, loud sigh. The dragoness' face was covered in bandages as she was still healing from her wounds.

"By Merlin's nut hairs it feels good to be drinking again!" she said, already tipsy.

"It's only been two days." Maela said, sitting on the other end of the table, sharing the seat with the scholar boy they saved. "And I hope you don't get too drunk, we have a carriage ride to the academy today."

"I know, I know..." Ruby said, stirring her ale with her finger then raising it to her mouth to lick it clean. A terrible habit she had when it came to alcoholic drinks.

"I know you know. But Nico has been missing for awhile now and Ms. Edwina Riveer will be worried sick about him." Maela stated, opening her book and holding it front of her, pretending to read.

Nico, the scholar boy opened his mouth to speak but was cut off by Ruby; "I know. We'll get him home. Besides, I'm sure he is going to miss sharing a bed with you." Ruby said, a smirk spreading across her face as Nico just looked down at the table.

Maela's book shook with her hands before it slammed shut, the kobold's face flushed, "Listen here you red scaled, cheap gutter harlot!" she stood up on her seat, still not eye level with Ruby but she was going to give her a good piece of mind.

"Hey!" Maela was interrupted by an oafish yell behind her. "You're that pip squeak that grabbed my junk a few nights ago. I think it's about time you said sorry."

Maela turned around, her eyes burning with anger from being teased by Ruby and being interrupted before she could yell at her more. She could tell it was the drunk man from earlier in the week, the one who's nut she had crushed. "Or maybe you should kiss them better." he said, clearly drunk again and slurring his words.

"How about you kiss them goodbye!" Maela snapped back at him as she held her hand out and used her telekinesis to grab the man's balls, crushing them and then violently lifting them up, suspending the man in the air by his testicles, putting a lot of weight on the cords.

The shrill screams of the man filled the tavern before Maela stopped the spell, letting the man fall to the floor and cradle his ruined pride.

"What did I say about spells in here, huh?!" the old vixen snapped out, but she was cut off by the bards laughing and playing a song, filling the tavern with cheers.

The end.
