I'm a fan of Beast Wars, the second completely computer generated television show. Also the first to use texture mapping. Re-Boot, the first one was all done with untextured colored primitives(Spheres, cones, cylinders etc)

Unlike the original transformer series which was just done to sell toys and would often contradict it's self from episode to episode. Beast Wars had a coherent story, though fragmented as it was.

a short synapses. Spoilers, duh.

A predacon(the cybertronion sub-species that evolved from the decepticons) Decided to take the name of the great Megatron, modeling himself as the next version of the tyrant. He steals two ancient artifacts, golden discs.

One is the voyager golden record, with some extra data put on there by the original megatron. A plan B if you will for winning the great war. He leaves a message for his or the decepticon decedents. Saying he knows trans-warp drive is being developed, and that it has the ability to send ships through space and time. So he tells them to use this to travel back in time and kill optimus prime before he and the autobots awaken in the crashed ark. He places the time-space coordinates on the disc to accomplish this.

The other, a reply made by the pure energy beings called the VOK gives him an idea that doesn't require him to trample his immense pride. By using the VOK's trap to gain power.

This is where things get a bit fragmented. Because it's drawn from both comics of the original series and beast wars. In the original series there was a evil/force of nature called the swarm. Basically the gray goo nano machine fear, but it can travel through space like a swarm of locusts. The VOK are descended from this, or part of it. Yet they remember that it was the HUMANS in cooperation with the autobots that stopped them.

So they 'somehow' traveled back in time to earth circa about 3.2 million years ago. Before the earliest(known) human ancestor, lucy, stood. Seeded this primordial earth with tons of energon to attract the autobots and decepticons, They created several traps to lure in and abduct early humans(like the one that took tigertron and air-razor), while also creating a second moon to just plain 'blow the planet up' in case it all failed. Then waited.

Predacon Megatron stole a prototype predacon attack cruiser along with some sympathizers. A ship captained by an (actual) decedent of optimus prime just so happened to be nearby and well, history kinda repeats.

How does this relate?

Well, zootopia is a world where humans never evolved. So i had the idea that instead of the actual events of beast wars, the vok won. Forever trapping the autobots and decepticons in the ark. knocking the predacons and maximals into stasis. While also nipping the human thing in the bud.

That is until Bellwether's great grandfather stumbles upon the crashed predacon ship in a dead volcano, nearby and after clawhouser's great grandfather found the Maximal's ship burred at the bottom of a canyon.

Marked adult for blood.

'Oh muttonchops.' Bellwether mumbles, being dragged and carried along by a giant tarantula. Through long abandoned tunnels underneath the city that was so close to being hers.

Bound in semi purple luminescent webbing, she is at least able to look around. Her cohorts, Doug and Ramsey aren't that lucky. The former bound to the point only his eyes are showing. Rightfully so, Doug was anamilia special forces.

Ramsey though, it's because he wouldn't stop screaming. Not that she blames him, with how this creature looks and his tendency to, play up, this monster image. Though, calling him creature would be assuming what he's made of...

"I know He's disappointed, but i can walk there on my own." Said giant tarantula stops, then moves his head right next to hers, wiggling his palaps and making an eating noise like it would scare her. She's known about him and the others since she was a child.

All due her great grandfather, an archaeologist wanting to overshadow the mammal at the top of the field. Dr. Savannah Clawhouser.

"Oh my dear flesh-bag, if it were up to me I would consider this a... Minor setback. Yet, he's waited a long time, and to come this close to what he needed. Only for you to let two other insignificant flesh-bags stop you. He wouldn't rest till he crushed my core in his hands if i didn't do this." Sigh, well there goes that idea.

Oh great, seeing his face made Ramsey try to scream through his bounds again... Doug just, well, he can't do anything but watch.

The tunnels soon open up to what she knows as the old nuclear bunker system. Built over sixty years ago due to the threat of nuclear Armageddon, long forgotten since the fall of the Prussian government.

Her grandfather, father, and her all suspect that external help caused it.

This must be a different room, the one's she's seen are well lit and filled with computers and machinery far beyond her own understanding.

For no reason other than his satisfaction, the giant tarantula pulls them up to the ceiling with him, then drops them. Letting them hit the floor with a thud. small consolidation that their bindings provide enough cushion that she and the other's aren't injured.

Only encouraging Ramsey to try to scream for help more...

Bellwether looks up in time to see the giant tarantula use the ceiling to scurry off back into the corridor and out of the room. The now well oiled and well maintained bunker door closing behind him. Things are silent, except for Ramsey for what feels like several minutes in the semi-dark. Only lit by a few recently replaced lights.

They've been dropped in the only area that's lit, the rest of the room is dark and her poor to non existent night vision hides the rest of the room from her. Damn his flare for the dramatic.

She feels it before hearing it, enough to even get Ramsey to stop trying to scream. In a slow pace they go from a sound you'd feel, to something you hear. Then the sound of the door on the other end of the room opening.

The sight of the glowing red eyes, towering at least six feet above them and the loud thuds of a bipedal beast approaching sets Ramsey off again. As well as causing him to lose bladder control from the primal fear he's feeling.

Again, damn his flare for the dramatics.

The head of a creature that hasn't walked upon this earth for sixty five million years at least emerges from the darkness. Though, tyrannosaurus rex most likely didn't have purple and green skin with red eyes that glowed.

Doug, silent up to this point, now joins Ramsey in screaming and fear induced futile attempts to escape these bonds. No mammal and few of their kind have the strength to break them like that.

"I seem to recall. I gave you a simple task, the tools to complete it, and helped put you in a position to make it all but impossible to fail. And yet..." He takes another step forward, showing just how much bigger he is...

"Here you are. I am, greatly disappointed." Steeling herself, Bellwether looks up at him.

"The formula works. And while none of the ones hit had the desired effect on their genetic code that you need, you don't technically need me to be in control of the city to find them." The beast's head snaps towards her instead of enjoying the fear rolling off of her companions.

"It would've made everything a whole lot easier, yes? You prey flesh-bags would've been to scared of the predator ones. Not one of you would've batted an eye as individuals and families disappeared. We are running out of time, and the only thing standing in my way is the genetic code the damn VOK seeded into random flesh-bags, like you, as the key." Bellwether sighs, this again.

"I get it... Some alien race locked your ancestors up in some dead volcano, behind some impenetrable barrier after erasing some fictional species called hue-mans from the timeline." He stares her down, she feels the hate in his gaze and yet she knows he can't do a damn thing.

She needs to be alive to help unlock this barrier after having the formula alter her genetic code like it did when she was little. She and at least five other species, each one with a different part of the key in their genes. He has all the prey mammals with the code in them here, she's the only one not in stasis. All he needs are the ones from predators.

Suddenly, he snaps right, Ramsey's screaming is violently cut short as he lifts him up in is jaws, snapping him nearly in half before swallowing him whole. She and Doug are splattered with Ramsey's blood. This is the only part that still disturbs her, that they can eat in an emergency to power themselves...

"You are lucky, yes, I need you alive and functional or that would've been you Bellwether. While you have failed me greatly, this is not a complete setback. And how thoughtful of you to bring raw material for plan B." He turns to stare down Doug.

"I get it, I won't fail you again, Megatron." He turns his attention back to me.

"Yes, you better not, or my promise to your family is mute."
