With the temperature below freezing point, Kevin's mind finally drifted out of the world of dreams and back into his own mental state in which he turned in his bed to open his eyes and now realize he wasn't in the City of the Angels anymore. He was home. In his room. In his world. The feeling of being back home was refreshing, it made Kevin feel like he never even left to another world and just slept the whole thing away, as if it were a dream he desperatly wanted to be kept a dream. But he knew he couldn't fool his mind after what he's been through. After everything from being engaged to a Warrior Husky to a Tiger who was still in love with the Husky to finally giving his own virginity to the Husky, Kevin was sure this dream was certainly a nightmare trainwreck. But what burned the most in Kevin's head was that the Husky was a male.

Realization of this fact sent cold shivers through Kevin as the memory of last night boared into his mind, as if his brain was playing a movie in his head and he rewound the event to the beggining of what started to be just a regular walk in the hallway of King Alexander's Palace. Everything seemed to go natural to the Human, the night of Arella City seemed to soften and the night breeze blew through the window, fluttering the red curtain's like a womans dress being twirled around in circles. But then Kevin remembered Flare being in the picture. The Panther was surly a big part of how last night played out because her last words echoed in his head: "Ride insanity, kid. It's the best way to go." She was right in a sense, Kevin had never been taking the risks that put him on the edge of insanity that Flare mentioned. Last night was something Kevin never experienced in his life, he felt ashamed but that was because of the itching thought of beastiality and Demetrius being a guy.

Demetrius! Kevin turned his head to see if the Husky was beside him to only find out he was alone. Demetrius usually disappeared in Kevin's world to protect himself from being seen, so Kevin wouldn't be surprised if he saw the Husky lurking around rooftops or tree branches keeping an eye on his Fiancee. Protecting Kevin from everything that could hurt him. Demetrius was like a body guard to Kevin.

Slipping out of bed, Kevin changed into his own clothes and looked outside where the snow of Arizona fell like sparkles falling from the charcoal grey clouds, the neighborhood was silent as usual considering Kevin lived in the rich district--and admitedly hated it.

"Hey, Kevin," Kevin immediatly turned around, expecting to find Demetrius in the doorway dripping from melted snowflakes like last time when actually it was raining that day. Relaxing, Kevin was thankful it was his little brother, "Can I borrow a shirt for my date tonight?" He was peeking his head through the half open door, and Kevin knew he was getting taller by the way he couldn't fit into his clothes now, so everytime he had a date--which was every weekend--he would ask Kevin for clothing. Kevin never understood why his mother never let him go buy clothes. He probably spends the money for dates, Kevin thought.

"Uhm, sure Derik, go ahead." Derik smiled and opened the door for himself to run into Kevin's closet.

Kevin wondered, at that moment of watching Derik choosing for a shirt, that he may never be able to date again. Now that he thought of it Kevin never dated anyone in his life, he was forced into a proposal by accident all because he escaped from the Castle dungeon. How did I even get to Arella in the first place? Kevin thought again and looked back out the window where the beautiful white snow lay up to kneecap height, the wind outside blowing the snowflakes in an easy angle. Looking down into the house's front lawn, Kevin's face burned with red when the sight of a figure stood standing in the snow. Demetrius. He was wearing only baggy cargo pants and nothing else; no shoes, no scarf, no gloves, and no shirt! Not even a coat or sweater. He was half naked in the snow and just picking it up with his hand and... sniffing it?

Kevin looked back at Derik, who had been looking at a orange sweat shirt that would probably be too tight for him--then again that might be the reason why--and back at Demetrius. The good news: Kevin's parents worked early in the morning so he should be steering clear from them. Bad news: Kevin still had a younger brother and not to mention the neighbors who could be staring at the Husky! This couldn't be happening right now! Grabbing his jacket, Kevin left his room without his brother noticing and ran his way down the Justice mannor second floor hallway. The hallway was filled with anitigue's from other countries his parents had visited, a twin bladed sword hung parallel at a horizontal direction along the mango colored wall, a blood red rug with a frame of black tendrils snaking their way down the length of the carpet in which the carpet was the length of the hallway to the stairway. A couple brown oak tables here and there on the side with Egyption made vases and candles. Kevin's mother would always light the candles during winter time to cast off a golden glow to the hallway, learning from China that the Feng-shui would balence out the morning mood from the usual grumpy to the soft calm, happy mood. Though at this moment, Kevin was furious.

Decending down the stair's, Kevin reached the bottom and entered the door foyer to hurtle the front door open, staring at Demetrius who hasn't even moved from his spot on the snow-covered lawn. The snow in his hand was almost melted by now but the Husky seemed to be intrested in what was happening.

"Demetrius!" It was a harsh whisper but Kevin managed to get his voice heard to the husky as he made his way across the snow after slipping on some shoes.

His ears twitched, and by the time Kevin reached the Husky he was already turned around, giving the Human his full attention and a warm smile, "Hey there." He held out his hands, gesturing for Kevin to hug him into an embrace.

Kevin slapped the hands away and looked Demetrius in the eye, fear of being seen flooding his emotions, "What the hell are you doing out here? You're going to be seen!" Kevin hemphesized 'seen' as if it were a plead for help.

Demetrius looked around and switched the smile to a frown, his glacier blue eyes showing only hurt, "I don't see anyone around here, though." Then he looked back into Kevin's eyes and Kevin immediatly thought of last night. The thought burned his inner body as the unmentionable images flooded his memory theater, remembering the Husky thrusting into him softly and swiftly and the sticky mess the climax turned out to show. They both lay in the Castle hallway's and thankfully no one was around at the time to see them in their moment of bliss.

Kevin could feel his face burn again and his lower body getting a buldge, shaking his head he stopped the movie and focused on the problem at hand, "It doesn't matter! What if my brother saw you out here?" Frustration was fueling into anger as Kevin spoke to the Husky, "And what the hell are you doing out here with just pants on, it's freezing out here!" A gust of snow blew by and Kevin could feel himself tugging his jacket around his neck.

Demetrius smirked and noticed the gesture, mentally noting Kevin's squirm, "The cold does nothing to me. My fur coat provides enough heat for me that I can bear it for only so long, though by the looks of you it seems your freezing."

"I am, now lets go inside so I can be warm!" It was more of a beg this time instead of frustrated anger.

And before Kevin could register what happened next, Demetrius reached out and grabbed Kevin's coat, pulling him into a deep embrace that Kevin could feel the Husky's body heat in seconds before his body pressed into the taller figure's. All the heat from Kevin was now merging with Demetrius' as the two stood in front of the Justice mannor in a passionate embrace, as if the Husky never wanted to let go and hold onto Kevin for eternity, treasuring the heat, the scents, and the body all to himself. Kevin's face was for sure red with a blush that could be seen by the Husky and all he could think about was this moment, everything else around him seemed to blot out into a black space, leaving the two standing in a white powedery surface. Everything felt safe and secure. Nothing else mattered. It was just the two of them alone with eachother and nobody to ruin it. All around Kevin the black space was warm as a fire place, his entire body was feeling like there was a blizard outside of his home and he and Demetrius were cuddling infront of a nice fire with hot chocolate in their hands and a blanket wrapped over their laps.

Demetrius had to smile down at Kevin, his soft voice almost as warm and soft as the fire place, "Are you warm now."

All anger and frustration left Kevin by now, and looking up into those glacier blue eyes Kevin smiled and replied soflty, "Yes, very much."

He left his hold, feeling the cold break its way past the heat and into the seems of his clothes. Grabbing the Husky's hand, Kevin pulled him into the house. Closing the door behind the two Kevin smiled, "Okay, now promise me you'll stay out of sight this time."

Turning around, Kevin was faced with his younger brother Derik at the top of the stair's staring down at Kevin with the most suspicious glare he has ever gotten, "Who are you talking to?"

Humphrey stood by the King in his chair and twitched his mouth into a small smirk, his eyes never leaving the female at the bottom of the 34 steep high stairs that rose up to King Alexander's throne, "So your telling me," The King started with a voice that hinted frustration but seemed to be remaining normal as possible, "That the boy did as you suggested and...Slept with my Knight." The words were hard to get out for the King, seeing as he wasn't comfortable with the thought of same sex actions. Humphrey couldn't help but notice the room was completley empty of guards, leaving only the three Anthro's in the large marble room. Probably was best since they were discussing something of most importance.

Flare smirked and looked back up at the King, as if she noticed his struggle to say the words bluntly, "Yes, you Majesty." The female Panther was dressed in a brown, torn up cloak that covered her whole body from head to toe. Although the guards at the gate had to make sure she had no weapons, Humphrey still had to be on his guard in case she had a trick up her Assassin sleeve. "The boy seemed to buy what I had said to him and acted upon my words."

She didn't have to raise her voice for the King to hear, the words practically echoed across the whole room at a normal, calm voice. "And your positive of what would be the boy's next action?" The King asked without hesitation now.

Nodding, Flare seemed to be comfident in her plan. Although Humphrey had suggested an Assassin to the King in the first place, he knew that he couldn't trust them even if his life depended on it. The King may have been blind sighted by her good looks, but the old Rat was too old for this relationship shit that he seemed to look past looks and beauty and study the character as if they were a book. "Yes, your majesty. If my experience with men are true, the boy should be entering a stage of... Denial by now."

Humphrey had to admit, her plan seemed to be believable enough for the King and him to follow and just watch from the sidelines, but there was a twitch at the back of his mind that was making him feel uncomfortable with the whole thing. "Good," The King smirked and stood, his jewlery around his arms and neck clanking like a windchim, "Then if this works out your reward will surly be paid in full." He smiled widely at the young Panther.

By god! Humphrey's inner voice yelled inside his head, The fool's falling for woman! Humphrey had to admit, he was frustrated by now. Working beside the King for so long had made the old Rat understand the King as if he was his own child, and that look he was giving was just enough to tell the wise one that the kingdom's trusted King was falling for an Assassin. A dirty, blood-shedding cold hearted Assassin. Pathetic! The King may have been married as well, but clearly he was okay with sleeping with other women as long as his wife never found out.

Clearing his throat, Humphrey's tired voice broke the silence, "Madam," The old Rat reffered to the Assassin and noticed her young gaze turned to meet his old one, "Say if this plan of your's doesn't work out. What should happen to the boy?"

Flare smiled and heaved a small laugh, "Your true, old Man, what you've said may be another scenario in this case that could happen. If the boy were to accept this whole thing and pull through, then I shall eliminate him without your Knight knowing. All you have to do," She now turned her adorable gaze back to the King, who's ears twitched to Humphrey's surprise, "is take care of Demetrius. Perhaps use the Tiger to your advantage in this matter. I understand they used to have a relationship a long time ago."

The King finally came to his senses and used his brain instead of his...Humphrey smirked at the thought, "But Damien is in charge of my Royal Elite! Love is strickly forbidden to him and you know that!"

"That, you Majesty, can simply be changed by a snap of your fingers." Flare countered the King's statement and turned on her heel, looking over her shoulder and having a keen eye on the King's, "Of course, that's if my plan doesn't work afterall. All we have to do now is sit and wait for every piece of the puzzle play out."

The King sighed and sat back into his seat, resting his head onto his hand and looking at the Assassin thoroughly, "Fine then, if your plan doesn't play out like you said it should, then killing the boy should be the last resort. But time, my dear, is running out and if these two aren't in the process of a divorce by the end of this week, then I will have you killed. So just prey that your plan is working, because as of now, your mine." He smirked at the thought.

"Trust me, your Majesty, my plan will work by the time your visitor arrives. I swear it." And with that said, Flare pushed forward. Her heals clicking against the marble flooring and leaving behind an echo.

Humphrey sighed silently to himself. "Sire, excuse my interuption, but may I ask what will be happening at the end of this week?"

"At the end of this week, Humphrey," The King said coldly, "my Mother-in-Law will be in town."

Humphrey's heart skipped a beat.

"W-what?" Kevin's brain went into panic mode as his younger brother, Derik, started to decend the stairs. In the foyer, the small room used to have a door that connected between the stair landing. Through the years Kevin has lived in the mannor, his parents just recently got rid of the door so that it could be open to the house more better. Demetrius, with his back pressed against the small wall corner next to where the door used to be, looked at Kevin with eyes of desperation. Telling the Human to get his brother out of sight and quickly before he was spotted.

"I said, who are you talking to?" His little brother asked again, stopping midway down the stairs and staring Kevin in the eyes with eyes that were as if they were inspecting his older brother. Kevin felt like he was being interrogated at this point.

Passing Demetrius and stepping out of the foyer, Kevin made sure his little brother's gaze was on his own, trying to think of something to say to make those eyes stop inspecting him, "I wasn't talking to anyone."

"Didn't sound like you weren't talking to anyone."

Damn, as if that was going to work, smooth Kevin! Kevin's thoughts were speaking all at once now. And judging by the look of interrogation by Derik, Kevin's thought's were going into overdrive. Kevin never knew why Derik was the suspicous type, in fact it was probably why he couldn't keep a girlfriend in the first place--that or he was only in it for the one night stand thing--but Kevin always felt like his little brother cared for him enough to be there to protect him. Granted Kevin was the older one here, but Derik got the tough guy gene from his father, and sadly the only gene Kevin got was just the innocent, cute looks--curtosy of Mom.

"Derik, seriously, I was talking to nobody. So back the hell off and stop chasing my damn tail." Kevin could just feel Demetrius smirking his smugly grin from behind him and looked Derik in the eyes that told his little brother step down.

Derik only scoffed annoyingly and countered with crossing his arms in his 'I'm not afraid of you' gesture, "Kevin, what's with you lately? You've been acting weird for the past few days and all you do is spend your entire day in bed sleeping. I understand if your tired, but I haven't been seeing you at all lately. And when I do see you, you look like shit and you are jumpy alot more, not to mention you hardly talk about yourself anymore." Derik shifted on his spot and looked around the room, "You haven't even dated a girl or anything or had a life."

Kevin felt as if his brother was now venting his worried feelings to him, as if he needed to hear this right now--not to mention Demetrius was probably getting irritated by now just listening to his brother talk, "Derik, what are you getting at?"

He shifted again and let his arms fall from their spots infront of his chest, "Are you gay?"

The question caught him off guard, and instantly Kevin's body went into autopilot and quickly replied, "What, no! What the hell is wrong with you?"

Derik instantly shrugged and looked around the room again for his eyes to focus on, anything that would make his mind think straight while he was asking his brother a question that no brother would want to talk about, "I'm just saying," He defended himself, "I know you don't want to talk about this but even Mom and Dad are thinking about it and they I just overheard their conversation from upstair's."

"Mom and Dad?" Kevin's body felt numb now. Every word his brother was saying was as if it were a bullet being fired from an AK-47 and punching him with holes of disbelive. "But... I'm not gay!"

"I never said you were! I was only asking, jesus." He turned and headed back up the stair's and away from the awkward talk they were having. Derik could only handle so much pressure or awkward sitcuations before he would crack and leave the room without warning or notice.

Kevin could only stare as his brother disappeared around the corner. His body was now completely and utterly disgusted with himself and he had the odd feeling of being violated. "Hey," Demetrius was now out of the fayer and only a hair's length behind Kevin, his voice back to the soft, warm firplace sound, "You okay?"

And as Kevin turned around to meet those glacier blue eyes, Kevin's throat burned with bile. He couldn't look at the Husky now, it was... sickening!

Demetrius recognized this action as Kevin immediatly looked away from him, it was all too familiar when he was with Damien. The one feeling that made him sick to his stomach as he realized he had made love to another man. The feeling burned in his throat and it made him want to throw up and go back in time to stop himself from ever meeting the Tiger. Everything Kevin was doing was all too similar to what he'd done, and Demetrius only knew what Kevin was now going into.

Denial.
