First off, I do not own any chars of Digimon series or any nicknames that participate in this chapter. However, I do own the char named Alphonse/Al. I apologize first hand if there are any spelling and/or grammar errors, because my English is my second. Since there are errors in scrolling the order, the newest chapter will be placed at the top from now on. Anything else, please enjoy.

Chapter 41: Basic Training Days - 1

It was night at the Digital World. Many Digimons were considering dangerous and wild during nighttime, especially in the forest. One Digimon is running away from something those that chased it off. The Digimon sensed a blast coming headed its way, so it dodged. The blast hit the tree and exploded, giving some distinct of the Digimon that escaped the attack. It is a yellow dinosaur with white eyes and armband. The escapee Digimon is none other than Albino aka Alphonse himself.

Al panted after avoiding the last attack, but he cannot rest because the Digimon that attacked him is nearby and ready to ambush him again. He ran away hoping that he have time to counter the attack. He heard a swift sound coming from his side and he ducked for cover. Afterwards, several crystals darted out and rested on the nearby trees. "Oh crap, not her." Al quickly gets on to his feet and run again. "Remind me why did I agree to do these in the first place?" Al asked to himself panting.

*Flashback - seven weeks early*

Al and the rest of the team have return to Gennai's mansion after Al's search and rescue mission. "So tell me how did you evolve without any Digivice?" Zero asked while walking into the mansion.

"I did it by instinct. I pulled out the card, put it in the slot and slammed the slot." Al explained. "It is almost similar to my previous power, the Altered Evolution. With it, I can evolve into any Digimon as long as I have the card."

"That means you can battle in any form you like, that is sweet." ShadowWolf responded.

"Unfortunately, there is a big problem." Al added. "No matter whom I evolve into, my power will remain the same. That is the reason why I need to adapt and train myself."

"And how can you be so sure about it?" Gennai asked sipping some green tea with Gabumon and Hawkmon.

Al showed his gauntlet to Gennai. "The Gauntlet tells me what-I-need-to-know basics."

"That is an interesting gauntlet you had there." Gennai spoke with his hand on his chin. All the Destinies focused their attention to the gauntlet. "I wonder what it does. I need to test it thoroughly." All the Destinies especially Renamon, Lopmon and Gatomon gave him a deadly glare. "On second thought, I'd rather not."

"Onward, this gauntlet is almost similar to a Digivice. The scanner helped me collect any data from Digimon. However, the scanned Digimon will change back to level one." Al continued his explanation.

"So in other words, any Digimon that got scanned by your gauntlet will grow weak." Impmon walked out with arms crossed. "Nice move back then, makes my little sweetie cry." Renamon glared at Impmon but he did not budge.

"The easiest way to describe it is yes. Last time I checked, she isn't your sweetie." Al responded.

Impmon raised his shoulder a bit. "Whatever, so you want to be strong? Us the third generation can teach you how."

"And that would be?" Al asked in curious.

Renamon sighed and held her head in shame. "What he meant is let you survive in the jungle alone. Pay no heed to his simple viral mind." Renamon answered.

"Tell that to the girl I know who is constantly fought alone for power." Impmon snickers at Renamon.

Renamon realized that what he meant was her in the past. "Why you," Renamon starts to chased him as he see her mad. "Get back here you twerp!" she yelled.

"Not unless you catch me first!" He accepted the challenge and ran inside the mansion. All of them went silent for a moment.

"Um... Are they always doing that?" Al asked in confusion to Lopmon.

"He always does that; teasing one another showing that he actually cares to everyone. That is how he is." Lopmon answered.

"How can you be so sure about it?" GreenGuilmonX asked.

"Because we share the same treat." He replies with a chuckle. Zero, GreenGuilmonX, ShadowWolf and Al are confused about his answer. Lopmon saw it and explained. "Did it ever occur to you that I am a viral type as well?"

"You didn't look like a virus Digimon." ShadowWolf responded.

"Never judge a book by its cover. That is what human said, isn't it?" Lopmon smiled at him. "I may not act like a virus type, but the fact remains that I am a virus Digimon."

"I see. So what he said was true?" Al asked in curious.

Lopmon gave him a sad look and then lowered his head down. "What he said is true. We, the third generations, used to live in the wild before we met our partners. We were forced to survive on our own against any dangers that threaten us."

GreenGuilmonX kneeled down and gave him a warm hug, which surprised Lopmon. "We are sorry to hear about your past. Please don't cry."

Lopmon returned his hug in delight. "Do not worry, Derek. As long as I have my partner, everything will be fine." Lopmon answered to reassure him.

"I guess I need to re-assign myself and leave both of you alone." Al responded and walked inside the mansion, followed by ShadowWolf, Gatomon, and Patamon. "You too, Zero, and three of you as well." Zero complied along with Gennai, Hawkmon, and Gabumon.

They all walked in silent for minutes feeling uneasy about early morning incident. "So um... what are you doing here?" Gennai asked trying to make a small conversation. Al didn't responded to his question. "All right, I am sorry for using you as test subject without your consent. Satisfy?"

"Not quite, but it will do." Al responded. "I need to rejoin with the Destinies again and to train myself to become stronger."

"What do you mean by 'rejoin'?" Gennai asked.

"What do you mean about that? I was resign remember?" Al asked in confusion.

"That is true that you resign, but not officially." Gennai replies. Al completely confused by his answer.

"Almost any places in the world, you need a written resignation to declare that you are quitting." Henry explained to Al. Al looked at the source and saw that Henry is monitoring the Game world through large monitor. He even saw Izzy and Yolei are busy typing something at the computer.

"I will remember that someday." Al responded. "Any other situation in there besides me, Mr. Henry?"

"None so far, but your action is wise." Henry replies, "Erasing her memory about Digimon existence."

"I can guess that she prefer watching from distance rather being involved in the fight. She isn't qualified for our mission." Al responded in sad tone. "So, is anybody has some ideas about raising a real Digimon?"

All of the seniors shrugged their heads, shoulders, or necks telling them, they did not have a single clue. "We don't know how. We just keep battling and sometimes we won, sometimes we lost." Izzy responded. "Only Digimons knew about their own strength."

"I know how, but it was way before I joined the group." Gatomon responded. "I was trained by Myotismon before and because of that, I maintained my champion form. I don't want to remember it again."

"THAT memories again, Is there anyone know about physical training for Digimon?" Al asked trying to avoid her past.

"How about Leomon, I am sure he can train you physically." Patamon suggested.

All of the juniors looked at Patamon. "That would be a great help." Al responded. "Where can we find him?"

"I do not know for sure. But I am sure that Renamon knows where to find him." Hawkmon replies.

Al nod and walks ahead looking for Renamon. He found that Renamon is in the room where he was resting before, choking Impmon with his own scarf. "Renamon, I need to ask you something." Al asked.

Renamon looked at Al and dropped Impmon to the floor. "What do you want to ask me about?"

"Do you know where can I find Leomon?" Al asked. Renamon gave a sad expression to Al and Al notice it. "What is wrong, Renamon?"

"I hate to burst your bubble but, Leomon is dead many years ago." Renamon replies.

Al is surprise to hear the news. "What, how, who killed him?" Al asked in disbelief.

"It was Impmon who killed him and absorbed the remaining." Renamon continues. "Back then, he was corrupted by evil Digimons."

"That really is bursting his bubble." ShadowWolf replies when he heard the news. "Bubble of hope."

"Well I hate to give you some bad news." Impmon responded fixing his scarf and gloves. "I will give some good news for you instead." Impmon point his head to draw evryone's attention. "I may absorb his data, but I also absorb his memories. This means, I know what Leomon did when he was alive."

"Did you?" Renamon asked in confusion.

"Of course," Impmon replied with arms crossed and looked away from evryone feeling guilty. "How can I use 'Fist of Beast King' if it wasn't from him? I mean sure, I felt guilty about killing him after seeing her suffer like that and wanted to protect her. But that doesn't come from his heart, it was mine."

Al wanted to be angry with Impmon for what he had done. However, his anger faded and been replaced by sincere apologetic smile. Al walked toward Impmon and tapped his shoulder. "I understand, don't strain yourself. I will find another way to get stronger."

Al released his shoulder and walked away toward the hallway. "There is a way though." Impmon tried to encourage him. Al turned around slowly and looked at him. "Like Renamon said before, if you want to be strong like a Digimon, you need to know every vital basic about survival. This means that you will be sleeping in the wild, eats in the wild, and live in the wild."

"You mean like camping?" Al asked.

"Exactly what he means," Izzy answered. "We've been through Hell for it and it was worth it. We grew stronger in strength and bond. We are the best team ever formed."

"But I don't know anything about outdoor camping." Al responded truthfully.

"We all help." Hawkmon replies. "Izzy makes some schedule for your training starting tomorrow. And you three will be participating as well."

"What?" Zero, ShadowWolf, and GreenGuilmonX shouted in unison. "We can't join as well. We got school." Zero continued.

"That is why your schedule is different than him. On Monday to Friday, you will be leveling up with some of us for several hours. On Saturday and Sunday, you will train to adapt with your PC in the Digital World." Yolei showed the paper to three of them. "And as for you, our Digimons will take you to a place where our first adventure began."

"And where would that be?" Al asked with a slight curious.

"File Island." Gatomon, Patamon, and Gabumon answered simultaneously with a smile.

"I see." Al responded. "I better get prepared for tomorrow. First I need to know more about this gauntlet and some fillings because I haven't eaten anything since that morning."
