Walking home from the last day of school Cale looked forward to relaxation, and his summer job. He never expected to find his kid sister there waiting for him when he walked through the door. Yet there she was.

Preza beamed at Cale from her perch on the arm of the couch. "Hey big bro, long time no see."

Cale balked, looking his sister up and down, noting the changes that have occurred in her over the years. Her violet hair was cut much shorter then it was when he last saw her. Her once rail thin frame had filled out, her flat chest had grown into a nice bust in perfect proportion to her frame. Deep maroon eye shadow highlighted her crystal blue eyes, and matching lipstick did the same for her plump lips. She looked like a complete stranger with his little sister's face.

"Surprised to see me?" She grind knowing that he is, even if he was not showing it.

He tossed his book bag next to where she was sitting, acting as if it was no big deal that his long missed sister was sitting right in front of him. "What are you doing here?"

Preza's cheerful demeanor fell. "Good to see you too..."

Knowing he struck a cord he dropped his façade and nodded, smiling slightly. "Same here." Supporting himself on the couch he leaned down toeing off his shoes. Still wondering why his kid sister is here. After all this time why would she suddenly decide to visit them?

Feeling more comfortable seeing her brother acting like his old self again, she sighed and leaned back. "And to answer your question; I finally convinced dad to let me spend the summer with my big brother and mom."

Cale nods making the connection. It must have taken her a long time to convince her father if he's just now letting her visit. "Ah, how is...your father?"

"Pretty good. He joined an AA group, but it doesn't look like mom cares." She sighed looking to the floor They still hate each other... she thought. "Oh yeah!" She perked up. Smiling to Cale, her blue eyes sparkled. "Speaking of mom, she's in the kitchen. She said she was going to make you an after school snack."

His chestnut colored ears perked in their nest of blonde hair. "Oh? What is she making...?" He turned, intending to head into the kitchen.

Preza shrugged jumping from her spot on the couch. "I dunno." She followed behind him as they wade into the kitchen.

Leena carefully placed some fresh mini pizzas on a serving plate. She turned just in time to see Cale and her step daughter walk into the kitchen. "Oh, welcome home." She smiled to her soon to graduate son.

Cale returned the welcoming smile. "Thanks...Preza said you were making a snack?"

The smile still plastered on her face, Leena, turned and set the plate on the table. "Here you are-" She froze when Preza walked up to the table. Her smile quickly turned to a frown. "I thought I told you to wash that crap off your face when we got home."

Preza paused in reaching for one of the pizzas. "I was, but then Cale got home-"

"Go wash it off, now." Leena pointed in the direction of the bathroom, demanding that her step daughter be presentable before eating.

Preza rolled her eyes and went to wash her face. _She still hates me too..._she though as she made her way to the upstairs bathroom.

Stepping back into the kitchen Preza slipped past her brother snatching the top pizza from the plate. Plopping down in a chair she lifts her legs crossing on top of the table looking as if she truly belonged there. Happily she munches on the small pizza.

Cale silently glanced at his sister taking another pizza off of the plate. Sitting much more properly at the table he took a bite.

Leena sighed, agitated with her step daughter's manners. "Preza please sit up straight, and no feet on the table."

She shot her ex-stepmother a look before slipping her feet off the table, and sitting up. "Sorry."

They all ate in an uncomfortable silence until Preza spoke up. "So what are you planning to do all summer, bro?"

"Dunno." Cale swallowed the bite in his mouth before continuing. "Probably just work at my summer job."

Preza's nose wrinkled. "You're going to work? That's lame."

Leena stiffened. Closing her eyes she took a breath. "He's taking on a great responsibility by getting this job."

"Yeah, so what is it?"

"Unfortunately, I'll be a clerk at a gas station." Cale's words expressed how less then enthusiastic he was about his summer job.

Preza's eyes widen with glee. "Really? Here I thought you would have been working as a mail boy at mom's work." She was more then happy to hear that her step mother didn't pressure Cale into working with her.

"I'm not going to pull strings just to get him a job. I tried asking if he wanted a position, but he declined." Leena stuck her nose proudly in the air, looking down her brown muzzle at her step daughter.

Cale laughed, there would be no way he'd be able to work with his mom. He loved her but even he couldn't put up with her twenty-four seven. Idly he wondered why his mother was acting so hostile to his little sister. Did something happen here that I don't know about?

Preza ate her snack and brushed the crumbs off her fingers. "Well you can keep your day job, just leave some time for me when you come home. I want to spend as much time with you as I can." She smiled adoringly to her older brother.

Cale nodded, "I'll try."

"Good." Preza took the empty plate over to the sink to rinse it off. She plopped back down in her chair, not bothering to sit up as she waited for Cale to finish his last bite. "So what have you been doing over the years?"

Cale leaned back thinking. There was so much that happened through the years without his little sister there. How was he going to pinpoint it all? "Just trying to get through school and make a living, I guess... You?"

"Haven't tried a job yet." She traces random patters on the table with a claw, being sure not to leave a mark. She paused and looked to Cale suddenly excited. "I learned to play the guitar though! I want to try to join a band or maybe form my own."

Cale perked, his expression as enthusiastic as hers. "Cool, play something for me later?"

Preza beamed showing Cale her toothy smile again. She was so eager to show him how good she was. "Sure thing! Maybe after I go for a swim. I saw that huge ass pool you got out back. It's so cool!"

Leena balked in shock at Preza's vulgar words. "Preza, watch your language!"

Preza shied back both embarrassed and afraid by Leena's outburst. "Uh, sorry."

Cale snickered and rolled his eyes at his mom."Oh come on."

Shooting a look at her son Leena was sure to get her point across. "I don't like swearing in my house, you know that as well as she does."

Preza's black tipped ears laid back on her head. "It's okay, I'm sorry."

Leena leaned back waving Preza off. "It's alright, apology accepted."

Taking a breath Preza nodded, glancing over to her brother. "Want to head to your room?"

Cale stood stretching out his lean frame. "Alright..." He gave a displeased look at his mother, then followed Preza up stairs.

Cale sat on his bed watching Preza rummaging through her duffel bag. "So what did you want to talk about?"

"Just wanting to know what you've been doing over the years." She said as she tossed out the pieces of her bikini. She really wanted to talk to Cale, and catch up with him. However it seemed impossible to do with Leena around. Leena wouldn't care for anything she wanted to talk about, and already proved that she didn't want them talking around her. "I mean do you have a girl friend or anything?"

Cale leaned back on his paws, looking up to the ceiling. His own inner thoughts mirroring Preza's.

"No, not really... I'm kind of not interested in dating."

"Me either. I mean I don't have a boy friend." She quickly zipped her duffel up, and turned to Cale. "So, did you get my letters? I tried to keep up on writing them."

A wistful smile graced his lips. "Yeah, I got your letters."

She reached up under her shirt to unhook her bra. Skillfully Preza put on her bikini top under her shirt. "I had to sneak past dad to send them though. I think about a year or so after I started writing he caught on. After I confessed to him that I've only been writing to you he said that it was alright."

He nodded now knowing why there was a gap in her letters one time. "Ah, I see."

"Um, can you...?" She does the universal symbol for 'turn around' with her finger.

"Of course." He stood and turned to his dresser, looking for his trunks while at it.

"Sorry, your mom didn't want me sleeping on the couch. So I'll be up here with you." She slid off her jeans and underwear hurriedly pulling up her bottoms.

Cale found his swim trunks in their proper place at the back of his underwear drawer. Pulling them out he tossed them on his bed. "That's fine. Can I turn around now?"

She toed her shirt and jeans to cover her underwear. "Yeah it's safe to look now." Preza stood in her two piece twisting her body left and right showing off. "What do you think?"

He turned, habitually bumping the drawer with his shoulder to close it. Cale froze seeing his little sister standing in the center of his room in a revealing black and yellow string bikini. His initial observation of her was wrong. She had not just filled out on top, but her hips matched perfectly with her bust. He could feel his boxers growing tight in the front. "Er...you've grown...just er, never mind, can you leave the room while I put on my trunks?"

"Okay, I'll go get the towels." Preza padded out of the room giving Cale a clear shot of her rear and tail before the door quickly blocked his view.

Cale flopped back on the bed shocked in awe of what he had just seen. Idly he reached into his shorts, shifting his stiffness in his boxers. He hadn't expected his body to react to that. They were siblings after all even if it was by love alone.

A knock at the door startled him from his thoughts. "Hey you ready?"

He jumped scrambling on the bed he pulled the blanket over to cover himself in case Preza opened the door. "No! ...Sorry, just let me get my trunks on."

Preza's nervous voice came through the door. "Okay, I got you a towel so you can meet me in the pool when you're done."

Cale released a belated breath. He berated himself for letting his guard down, and letting his thoughts wander. He should have ignored his body and put his trunks on. It must have startled her when he shouted. "Alright," he responded in a calmer voice.

Preza surfaced from the water taking in a breath. She had always loved the water, and swimming. She was amazed when she first saw the grotto style swimming pool in her stepmother's backyard. She was only able to use the free public pools that were less sanitary, and usually murky. This water was so clear, and it didn't smell of heavy chemicals. She closed her eyes and felt the cool water tug gently at her fur. This is heaven... Opening her eyes she spotted her brother stepping out from the french doors that lead to the house. She greeted him with a wave. "Come on in!"

Cale grinned. "Heh, alright then!" With a running start he did a can opener into the pool aiming the splash right at Preza's face.

"Eek!" She sputters turning away to wipe her face off. "Oh..." Spinning back around she swept her arm across the surface of the water blasting Cale in the face as he came up to catch his breath. "You jerk!"

Cale laughed trying to block the spray with his paws. "That's me!"

The young tabby and mutt swam and wrestled in the pool, dunking and splashing one another. To them it felt just like old times. The years that had passed melted away, and they were young kids again.

Preza shook her fur out combing her purple bangs out of her face. "Okay okay... I give up..."

Cale swam backwards away from her, a victorious smirk on his face. "Heh, I win."

Preza looked sidelong at her smug brother. Her blue eyes softening as she gazes at him."You've gotten stronger...I remember when I used to be able to take you on in a fight."

He smirks, flexing his muscles. "After school weights."

She eyed her older sibling he had grown a lot himself. The white fur on his stomach rippled defining his six pack. He wasn't big like some kind of beach bully, but it was clear that he worked out. She noticed a trail of course fur running down disappearing under the waistband of his yellow and green swim trunks. "Yeah I saw the gym you guys have upstairs." Tearing her eyes away from Cale's body she leaned back floating on top of the water. "God you and mom have got it so good..."

"Heh, it's not that great..." He scoffed. Living in the suburbs drove him mad. He hated all the rules that were laid on him.

"Want to bet..? Try living in a run down, bug infested one bedroom apartment with your alcoholic father."

Cale went silent thinking about that. His stepfather was a workaholic much like his own mother. After the stocks fell in his company and he was laid off, it was hard for him to get a same income job. His mother ended up taking on the finances, and didn't like her husband's drinking habits. Fights broke out nearly every day until the divorce was final. His mother taking him under her custody, and Preza's father took her.

"...I've missed you..."

Preza's soft voice snapped him out of his internal monologue. He glanced to his little sister floating past him."I missed you too." He gave her a sad smile watching as she let out a mouth gaping yawn. "You tired?"

Preza smiled shifting her weight in the water to stand. "Jet-lag, I staid up waiting for you to get home instead of sleeping it off."

"You should have slept."

"I know, I know" She swam up behind Cale, wrapping her arms around his broad shoulders, hugging him from behind. "I just wanted to be there when you got home."

Cale smiles looking over his shoulder at her. "Heh, I guess I can't blame you."

Closing her eyes Preza rested her cheek on Cale's warm shoulder, breathing in his scent. Nuzzling his neck she murmured. "I'm going to go take a nap." Pulling back she waded over to the edge of the pool hefting her self out of the water. "See you inside." She grabs her towel drying herself off.

Watching her every move he nodded. "Alright." Cale relaxed in the pool watching Preza make her way into the house. He wondered to himself what this summer had in store for him.
