The Dragon Kingdom - Chapter 5: Awaken

The king looks up at the sky, in the far distance a light. He stands and starts off towards it. " What is that...? " As he draws near to it, it glows brighter. When he finaly reaches it is a dragon, glowing with light, on his skin, markings smiller to the kings. The dragon looks up and speaks " Hello, my child. Your wondering what happend here aren't you? " The king nods slightly and steps towards the glowing dragon, " All of what you see, is the afertmath of the darkness. " The king looks up, " Darkness? " The glowing dragon nods " Yes, it will come swiftly and destroy every thing that stands befor it. I'm showing you this to help you, to show you a posible future if your kingdom falls. " The king looks out at the land below, he stands on to of a hill with the glowing dragon, his kingdom in ruin. He sighs softly and turns back to the glowing dragon " Tell me what I must do to stop it. " The glowing dragon looks deeply at the king " Go to the mountion far to the east, there pray at the sun temple for the sun gods help. If she finds you worthy she will give you a weapon, with it you can stop the darkness. " The king nods and looks out far to the east. " So where am I now? " The glowing dragon looks up in the sky " Your in a deep sleep. You must awaken now and begin you journey. " He reaches out and pokes the kings forehead. Then the king wakes in his bed, he sits up sudently and is panting lightly. He looks areound to see where he's at. He then sighs with relief.
Then the king would stand and look around, he would rush to the window and look out. Below the palace the city would be full of life, it is early morning, the sun could be seen rising form the east. The king would sigh with relife. He would sit back down and lay in his bed thinking, " Was it all just some dream? " H e would sigh and lay back cuddling a pillow, but just as he would begin to drift off to sleep a knock at his door. He would look up and sigh as he stood and walked over. He would open the door and there stood saint. Saint would smile at the kind behind his armor " Hello sire. How are you today? " His tone somewhat cheerfull. The king would yawn and respond " Tired, What time is it anyway? " Saint would look out the window and then back at the king " It looks about 6, why? " The king would look up at saint " Bed time, go get some sleep. " The king would turn to shut the door but saint would hold it open " But Sire? " Then the king would turn back to saint " Dont make me order you to bed. " Saint's head would fill with thoughts " C-can I seep here sire? " Or " My king I want you. " But he would push these thoughts out of his head and nod slightly " As you wish sire. " He would turn to leave, shutting the door and heading down the hall to his room. When he got there Saint would open his door and sit down, closing the door behind him. He would sigh as he lays back and thinks " I shouldn't be thinking such things. He's the king, he needs a queen... " Saint woulld then lay his head back and drift off to sleep.
Then sometime later, there would be a knock at Saints door. He would wake to see who it was. There stood the sencod in head leader of the council. He would look up at saint and smile slightly " Good your awake. We need you to diliver a message for us. " Saint would look at him curiously " And what kind of message would that be? " The council member would hold out a letter handing it to saint. " This must be brought to the Dolphin queen to the east. As well as a package. " Saint would take the letter and look at the council member " What about the king? I'm his guard? " The council member nods " Yes, but he will be fine. Derax will loook after him while your gone. When your ready head to the cort yard, the package will be there waiting. " Saint would nod and go to shut the door but the council member stops him. " You had better not mess this up saint. " Saint would nod " Yes council member. " He would shut the door compleatly and walk over getting his armor on. He packs his bag with some clothing, food, water and a few books to read. After heading out to the cort yard he would drop by the kings room to cheek on him befor he goes. He opens the door and look in. The king sleeping on the bed, his back to saint, Saint would smile and walk off, heading down the hall and out in to the cort yard. There stood a man in a dark cloak in his hands a small box. He would look up at saint " You are the one who will escort me? " The man would say as he looked up at saint, " Saint would nod " Yes, That the package? " The man would nod and turn to head out of the cort yard, Saint would follow him. " So whats your name? " Saint would say as he walked beside the person in the cloak, The person would look at saint and then down at the package. " Just call me Ark. "
