The Wild Adventure Of Poink and Boink

Poink, Boink and the epic battle against the Junk Dragon

With the term "Adventurer" labeled onto you, you run into some pretty crazy things. For Poink and Boink, the label was legitimately true, whether they were labeled adventurers or not. I share this story of an experiance I dreamed up one fine evening.

My room, to be honest, looked like a hurricane had run through it. In this fantasy land of my dream, I woke up, on my bed surrounded by lush trees of crumpled paper and clothes, grassy fields of empty cans and bottles and two furry faces staring straight at me, one of blue and one of green. Both creatures were about the size of a medium sized house dog. They both meowed and the four colored blue one, which I had later come to find out her name was Poink, tugged on my pant leg. I pushed myself up and rubbed the rest of the tiredness from my eyes, looking around. The area had felt so familiar, as if I had been there before. I stretched and the two began to walk but stopped, as if they wanted me to follow. Both purred and meowed in persistance as I began to walk.

I walked around the area with them, an interest of where I was and what I was doing plastering my mind with curiousity. Poink looked up at me and meowed. I had no indea what she had said, but I had a feeling it had something to do with the black cave that was nested in the side of a mountain of clothes. Now the area was looking extremely familiar to me as I furrowed my brow in frustration. Why did it feel like I had been there before? I continued to walk along side Poink and her green friend, who I came to find out his name was Boink. With excitement, Poink and Boink entered the cave and not wanting to lose my only form of company, I entered it as well. I scratched my upper lip.

Pocket change covered the cave floors and paper bills stuck out of the walls. The three of us walked until we came to a dark cavern, the only illumination that of glowing soda bottles on the walls, ceiling and floor. There were heavy snores filling the massive area and I began to follow Poink as she wandered through the cavern. Boink was looking around before he moved to catch up with us. As we walked, I was gazing around the room, looking at all the loose change and bills that decorated the walls and floor. I walked into something thinking it was the wall and stumbled back a little ways. I felt hot air leaving it and it sucking air back in. I blinked. Poink had begun to climb the mound of living clothes and money and Boink stared at it. Danger clicked in my mind and I took off running toward the enterance. I now knew where we were.

The den of the Junk Dragon.

I had been here before with two friends of mine, battling the crazed dragon. We had won the battle, but it was back now. Bright green eyes suddenly lit up from where Poink was climbing and Boink watched. I fell short and stared as the green eyes began to rise, a loud rumbling snarl drawing itself out from the pit of the Junk Dragon's throat. A clawed, draconic paw came crashing down toward Boink, who quickly manuvered out of the way, realizing the sudden danger. Poink continued to venture along the dragon, pulling out socks and bandanas here and there, loose change spilling from what had gone missing.

Boink meowed to get her attention, but she was having far too much fun. Boink took off running and began to run up it's thick, mighty tail, but the Junk Dragon swong it, Boink falling off and looking up at the Junk Dragon, then to Poink, who was still pulling out clothes. The dragon let out snarls here and there in regards to Poink pulling out what was replacing scales. Boink figured she was hurting the blasted thing and ran up, beginning to pull out shirts and pants, mass amounts of pocket change and dollar bills flooding onto him.

The Junk Dragon let out a growl and batted at Boink, who evaded the paw again and continued pulling clothes out. He had to keep himself and Poink safe. I, on the other hand, was hiding. I had no armor or weapon to battle the beast a second time. I was much slower than the two creatures, so I was bound to be crushed by the mighty clothed paw of the beast. So I just watched in terror on the other side of the cavern as Poink continued to pull clothes out of its back and Boink its front. At this point, Poink was aware that she was playing on a living mound of clothing, but she thought of it all as a game. She pulled out a really big sweater from its back and underneath it was something extrememly shiny. Mind you, I only knew that because I suddenly saw a bright green glow come from where she had pulled the sweater out and illuminated her fur. She meowed and plowed into it, digging, change and dollar bills flying out as she hunted for something good.

Boink, on the opposite side, had pulled out a coat, the glow suddenly illuminating on the floor and him. He wiggled his tail and jumped, getting into the Junk Dragon's belly and hunting around, change and dollar bills flying out. Poink was having a terribly fun time looking for what was creating the bright glow. Boink jumped out, sighing in dismay. He couldn't find her in there! The Junk Dragon picked him up by his tail in his massive claws and growled loudly. Boink yowled out and thrashed, probably fretting for his dear life that he was about to be eaten by the Junk Dragon. I continued to watch in terror but suddenly the dragon snarled loudly, a dying sound. Maybe it was finally gone!

Out of the opening in its would be stomach, a green gem falling out. I looked. Poink jumped out and began to bat it around. Boink moved over to her, realizing that the Junk Dragon was crumbling, and snatched up the gem, running over to me. Poink, flustered that he did that, ran after him over to me. The clothes shed completely and the cavern began to fill with mass amounts of pocket change, drowning into the cavern next to the one we were in and the one we were in. Oh my god! That blasted dragon legitimately ate all of my change! I was angered. But I was grateful for Poink and Boink had both been able to beat it. I pet Boink and Poink before smiling. I knew what the gem did. I reached down and touched it, a green aura-like color surrounding my person. I smiled kindly at the two of them before turning into nothing but particles in the air.

Suddenly I launched up in my bed, blinking repeatedly. That was the craziest dream I had ever had! Two little creatures fighting against the mighty Junk Dragon? Dang...

"Almost as crazy as the story about MoMo, Krys and I fighting it!" I exclaimed with a laugh, realizing the dream that had just happened.
