Finally the 4th chapter is here! I personally think the dialogue is rough but here it is! As always please tell me what you think.

Roy's eyes shot open. He felt groggy and his view was fuzzy. He began to think he was dead. However, he knew that was not the case. He remembered the man he fought. He remembered the sword he used to kill him. He remembered the light that knocked him out. He knew he wasn't dead, but his body was singing a different tune. His injuries had started speaking to him and they were telling a tale of pain. Everything from his ears to his legs were throbbing with pain. He groaned, forcing himself to at least sit up. Checking himself, he could at the very least tell that his clothes were intact. He'd probably have a few bruises but they'd heal in no time. Standing, the lagomorph-like monster checked his surroundings. He was surprised to see the forest he had once been in had turn almost fully white. Aside from the grass, everything from the trees to the sky had turned into an almost ethereal white. He was bewildered by the scene, since to his knowledge enchanted weapons can't just change the environment. Between the sword talking and now this, Roy was very much over the day as a whole. He needed to find his camp, get his things, and move on from this.

He began to make his way through the now white forest. He felt on edge walking though it. No sounds came from it at all. No wind, no animals, not even his own footsteps. There was no true sound. Just some odd whispers. None that he could make words from, but certainly voices. For the most part, Roy could tell the whispers apart. His massive ears had to be good for something after all. One was male, the most obvious of the two. From what he could make the tone, the male was trying to comfort the other whisper. The other voice was harder to make out. It was light, and almost felt like it wasn't there. From what Roy could tell both were coming from his campsite, so he'd see what it was for himself soon. As he made his way, the voices became more clear. One was clearly Caliber, and the other was some sort of woman.

"A-are you sure we should pick him?" The woman asked. Her voice was very soft and youthful. "Indeed I do. He's inexperienced in terms of swordplay, but that is something we can work on during the journey." Caliber responded quickly. He wasn't nearly as forceful as he'd been with Roy, but was still being firm. The two seemed to be debating something. Roy finally reached his camp sight and there wasn't anyone there. Just two lights, one green and the other gold. "Oh! H-hello there. Caliber you didn't mention that he was a Nightmare..." the woman's voice came from the green light, as it pulsed when the voice spoke. "I figured you would appreciate the surprise." Caliber simply said, his voice clearly coming from the golden light. "Oi, sorry to interrupt you two. But do either of you wanna explain where the fuck I am and what's going on?" Roy asked as he sat down on the ground. He was beyond tired and was ready to sleep, but he figured these two had to know something. The area fell silent for a bit. The other two thinking of what to say next.

"Well where to begin? Let's start with introductions then. As you should know by now, I am Caliber. I reside in the blade you were using. Or rather I AM the sword you were using. The other voice you hear is Vertigo. Vertigo say hello." Caliber started to explain, waiting now for the female voice to respond. "H-hello there, I'm Vertigo. N-nice to meet you." She meekly said. Unlike Caliber , she sounded quite nervous and more reserved. Roy continued listening to them. "We are both mystical blades, wielded by many throughout the ages. We are blades meant to be used to usher in an age, unburdened by the vast corruption that builds in our absence. We have decided you will be our wielder in this age. With us, you will gather the other blades and other wielders to confront the sin of the world. That is your fate now." Caliber explained, clearly making an effort to make it sound grand. Roy was less than enthusiastic about it. He figured what the blade was saying had to be true. Enchanted weapons existed throughout history, but never on the level of having minds, let alone voices. But him? A monster who is meant to not be very noticeable is supposed to be the hero that helps save the world? He couldn't help but start to laugh. "You both think I can save the world for sin or whatever? What about me screams that I'm the one for the job?" Roy questioned. He was far from a paragon of virtue. He wasn't someone that would go out of his way to hurt people, sure. But he wasn't above bending the law to get what he needed done. He looked at the orbs of lights in the sky, awaiting his answer. Caliber couldn't think of what to say. If he couldn't convince Roy to take up this task, there may not be enough time to find someone else to fill this role.

"I-if I could say something.." Vertigo chimed in. Roy turned his attention to her. She'd been mostly silent since he showed up, so he didn't expect much from her. "I-I know it is a lot to ask... This is a very hefty task to undertake. I-I know it's selfish to ask you to take it. But you proved that you can. W-we don't know how the others will feel at first but...you can hold us. You're a Nightmare with white fur. T-the signs of corruption would show easily if you weren't meant to have us. P-please I beg you, help us. I-It's no accident we met. It was fate." Vertigo pleaded. Her voice was shaking so much during it, no doubt it took a lot of her to say that. Roy looked at his hands, and she was correct. Unlike the man who attacked him, there were zero signs that he was getting corrupted. Fate huh? If that were the case, he'd end up roped into this anyway. No amount of leaving would stop it. With a sigh, Roy stood up. "Well the lady is better at words than you Cal. Fine, I'll help you both. It's not like I have anything important to do." He said with a grin. They had no faces to see, but the increased light coming from the orbs were a clear sign they were happy with his answer.

"Well then, it is settled! Roy Takeda, you shall be the one to usher this world into an age free from the ever rising sins of man. You are now tasked with seeking the other blades and those who are to be your allies in this ordeal. Do you understand?" Caliber stated, the two orbs now floating down right to chest level with Roy. "Just tell me where to go and it'll be done." He simply responded, his hands in his pockets. "Then we will see you in the waking world." Caliber concluded. The orbs slammed into Roy's chest, being absorbed into him. He clutched his chest as he passed out once more, his journey officially underway.
