**A My Hero Academia Fanfiction:

Hard Work** _by RVasil

Quirks were everything.

They were what separated the human populace from the mundane to the extraordinary. Because Quirks allowed humans to do feats previously unimaginable, a new age in society was born. The age of heroes: an age where heroes fought battles against villains as some humans aimed to use their Quirks for harm rather than good. The occupation of being a hero became a reality. Many institutions were formed to guide and teach the younger generation on what it meant to be a hero. UA Academy was the premier school to go to. Their hero course was renowned throughout Japan, and many students clamored to get in on the limited spots they offered.

Many applied and only few were ever accepted.

Competition was fierce. Some could teleport themselves instantaneously. Some could fly. Some could punch things and the object would burn into ashes. Some could even make explosions from the palm of their hand. And if you were born unlucky, you had no Quirk at all.

For some, failure was the end of the road. If they couldn't get into UA, that was the end for them. There was no point in being a hero if you couldn't get the best education, or at least that's what they told themselves. Others however persevered. If they couldn't be in the hero class, they'd try a different route. 'Hard work easily beats natural talent'. In a world where people don't get to choose what Quirks they were born with, it seemed that the age old mantra felt like a slap in the face. But some believed otherwise. Hard work did beat natural talent. It's not what you have, it was how you used it.

It was a bright sunny day at UA. The students of Class 1-A were gathered in their classroom, all idly chatting with one another as they waited for their daily lessons to begin. Everyone was minding their own business, talking to one another about the weekend that had happened prior. Fumikage Tokoyami was chatting with his seatmate when the door slid open, and their class adviser, Shoto Aizawa, walked in. The man sported his typical disheveled look, hair barely combed, a five o-clock shadow, and dark circles under his eyes. His hands were in his pocket, and his face showed his everyday poker face: tired and disinterested.

He cleared his throat to get everyone's attention. "Good morning everyone." The classroom quickly quieted down and the students gave him their undivided attention. "I have a special announcement to make. Starting today, you'll be having a new classmate."

Everyone visibly perked up. Midoriya smiled in glee. Bakugo rolled his eyes and snorted. For him, it was just another person to worry about. The memory of Hitoshi Shinso being shifted into the Hero Course was fresh on their minds as it happened a few days ago. Everyone expected the purple-haired boy to walk in when the door slid open. But their expectations were subverted when someone completely different appeared. Audible sounds of confusion rang across the room as the newcomer stood in front of the class. The boy had noticeably tanned skin, his hair standing out with a vibrant bright orange color due to the sheer contrast against the blackboard. Whisks of black streaks accentuated the lively color, that was reminiscent of a burning ember. He carried himself with an air of professionalism, smiling politely at everyone as he momentarily fixed the tie on his uniform.

"This is Sotaro Shimizu," Aizawa announced. "He'll be your new classmate."

Obviously everyone was quick to voice their confusion. "I thought we were going to have Shinso as our classmate?" Mineta asked loudly. It was the main question everyone had.

"No," Aizawa firmly answered. "He'll be in Class 1-B. Shimizu is here because the faculty decided that if Shinso was shifted, the student balance of the classes would be disjointed. Class 1-B would be bigger. Thus, after a long deliberation session, we decided to look for another possible candidate." He motioned to Shimizu who was standing quietly.

"It's a pleasure to meet all of you," Sotaro said, speaking for the first time. He bowed politely, trying to give a good first impression. "I know this might be a bit of a shock but I hope to be good friends with you all."

Bakugo snorted, looking visibly irritated at the development of things. Shinso was nothing more than a nuisance. He knew what the guy's Quirk was. Sotaro? He had never even heard of him before until now. "Where the hell are you from anyways?"

"I'm transferring from the Business Course," Shimizu answered.

"Business, huh?" From what Bakugo knew, Business Course students were just glorified pencil pushers. While heroes were what kept an agency around, business course graduates were the blood of it. They were in charge of handling merchandise, discussing brand deals, and overall making sure that while the hero was out doing hero work, someone was making sure the taxes were filed. "What do you even do that makes you think you're special enough to be in the hero course?"

The mood in the room visibly shifted. Tactless as Bakugo was, the question was nonetheless valid and everyone wanted to know what Sotaro could do. Sotaro was not surprised in the slightest at Bakugo's abrasive tone. He actually expected this. Every single person in the room was a person he needed to prove himself to. Convincing UA faculty that shifting him to the Hero Course was one thing, being accepted by his peers was another matter entirely.

"Tephra," he answered.

"The what now?" Kaminari blurted out.

"It's my quirk. It's called Tephra," Sotaro answered. He then glanced behind him to look at Aizawa who remained disinterested in what was occurring.

"You either show them what you can do now, or show them later during Heroics. Either way, I don't care," Aizawa answered. He snapped his fingers and a section of the floor at the back of the class opened up and a desk appeared. "You'll be sitting behind Yaoyorozu. That's it for announcements, class."

Sotaro nodded, making a beeline at his designated seat by the window. He put his things on his desk, and not soon after he sat down did the girl mentioned, Yaoyorozu, turned her head towards him. "Tephra," she began. "That's the rock that comes from volcanic eruptions, right?"

"Uh, yeah, it is," Sotaro answered, surprised that someone actually knew what tephra was. "How did you know that?"

"Momo Yaoyorozu," she began, extending a hand for a shake. "Nice to meet you, Sotaro. And to answer your question, it was just a guess. I think I've read it at one point when I was studying about different types of rock and what they were molecularly made up of."

"Is knowing the molecular composition of things part of your quirk?"

"It is. Creation is the name of my quirk," she answered. She then cocked her head to the side. "So what can you do exactly?"

"He can make rock do whatever he wants," Mineta butted in, looking back at the both of them. "Is that right? Oh wait, no!" He tapped his chin then came up with a better answer. "He can heat up rocks!"

"Wouldn't that be Todoroki's quirk?" Tokoyami asked, looking at Mineta.

"Oh yeah, good point."

The three of them then turned to look at Sotaro, wondering if any of their guesses were on the mark. Sotaro just shook his head. "As cool as that is, no. Not really, I can't heat up rocks. I can control them. Or rather, I can control the tephra rocks I can make." He proceeded to demonstrate his skills by literally creating tephra rocks out of thin air on his desk. It formed together into the shape of a small cartoony human figure that then decided to start dancing the moment it got its legs.

A resounding ohs and ahs followed as the three students watched the small rock figure dance to the sound of a silent song. What amazed them even more was the fact that it looked like Sotaro wasn't even exerting himself. He was just sitting there, happily watching their entertained expressions. He decided to finish the small demonstration by making the rock figure do breakdancing before ultimately taking a bow to his enwrapped audience.

"I have to admit, that's impressive," Tokoyami remarked. He watched as Sotaro lowered his hand to form a fist bump. The rock figure then morphed to match him and they both shared the gesture. It then faded away back into nothingness, like nothing was ever there to begin with. "If you have that much level of control with your Quirk, I'm sure you've got bigger tricks up your sleeve."

"I wish I could do party tricks like that," Mineta murmured. "Maybe then the chicks will start talking to me."

Yaoyorozu just shook her head. "Oh trust me, they're not talking with you not because you're lacking party tricks, Mineta."

Mineta just sighed dejectedly, sinking back into his seat.

The cheery atmosphere soon ended as their next teacher came into the room. The morning came and went. It was a challenge for Sotaro to adjust. While the educational curriculum when it came to basic education was the same for all the courses--all of them having English, Math, Science, and History subjects, the Hero Course was notably advanced. This was due in part because the remaining time that would have been otherwise used for such subjects was used for Hero subjects and Hero training. They were a couple lessons ahead and Sotaro had a lot of ground to cover, Math and Science being the most difficult.

Lunch soon followed after, with Sotaro finding himself the center of attention. Questions were thrown at him left and right. They ranged from the personal, down to the most mundane. "So," Midoriya began. The green haired boy was seated next to him at the cafeteria table. Tokoyami sat across from him, and Iida was seated at his other side alongside Uraraka. "What's it like?"

Sotaro looked at Midoriya, helping himself to the tasty katsudon he had ordered. "Hm?" He gulped down the food before saying, "What's it like to what?"

"What's it like to switch?" Midoriya continued, asking curiously. "Is it difficult?"

"It is," Sotaro answered flatly. "There are a lot of requirements you have to meet before you can even think about switching seriously."

"Do you have to have high grades or something? I thought all you needed was a good quirk and prove to the faculty that you deserve to be in the hero course?"

"Having high grades is one of the requirements," Sotaro answered. "And while yes, it makes things easier if you have an amazing quirk, that's not the be all and end all. There's the typical stuff that you have to be in good standing. You can't be a troublemaker or have something on your school record. You have to be clean."

"That feels typical," Iida added. "Most of the students here follow the rules so I don't see that being a problem."

"You'd be surprised," Sotaro answered. "I'm talking super clean. You're never late for class, never missed an assignment, never missed a deadline; the whole deal."

Uraraka visibly shrinked. "That seems too harsh, isn't it?"

"They're lenient with it, but it's more so to see just how dedicated you are to your schooling. They can't shift you if you're half assing things after all."

Uraraka nodded, taking a sip from her drink. "I guess that makes sense."

"Once you're actually seen as a model student," Sotaro continued, "then there's the situation with you and your quirk. You have to convince the faculty that you deserve to be shifted."

"Is this like a test or something?" Tokoyami curiously asked. He was casually leaning his left hand on the table. "Do you have to destroy robots?"

"You're thinking about the entrance exam," Sotaro commented. "This is a different kind of test. First, you have to make an essay."

"An essay?"

"Yeah. Fifteen page minimum, all about heroes: who they are, what they do, and why do you want to become one." Everyone around the table began to look visibly distressed as Sotaro continued outlining the process. "After that, assuming they like the essay, there will be an interview process."

"An interview?"

Sotaro nodded, taking a drink from his glass of water. "The faculty will interview you one by one."

"The faculty as in...?"

"Everyone, and with Principal Nedzu being the last person you'll have to talk to after you theoretically survive the gauntlet of interviews." Sotaro himself paused, thinking back onto him surviving the entire ordeal.

"That's it, right?" Midoriya asked, sounding a bit scared for whatever reason. "That's all you have to do. If you pass them, you're good, right?"

"No," Sotaro answered firmly. "After that, and only after that, is when you do a quirk demonstration."

Everyone around him blinked. "What do you exactly have to do?"

"This is the part where you fight the robots."

"Oh."

Tokoyami and everyone else were rightfully quiet for a few seconds as they digested the entire process Sotaro went through. Only now did they realize the great lengths someone had to take to actually be part of the hero course. A bit of themselves felt a bit fortunate that they didn't have to go through extreme trials. "Oh, and obviously, if you fail at any point," Sotaro continued, "You have to wait for four months before you can try again."

"Oh my goodness," Midoriya commented, thinking of the entire process in his head. He couldn't even begin to imagine how difficult the interviews would have been with the different teachers.

"Are there many students trying?" Tokoyami ventured to ask.

"Yes," Sotaro plainly answered. "But they mostly fail halfway through the interviews. Some stop just at the essay." He let out a sigh, his mind briefly thinking back to the entire ordeal he had to go through. "I think they designed it purposefully this way to teach you that being a hero isn't all about punching and kicking. There are some battles that cannot be won by violence, so to speak. You need to be good at dealing with paperwork, as well as diplomacy. Maybe the real villain in the world is bureaucracy."

"I am so glad to have passed the entrance exam," Uraraka murmured.

It was later that afternoon that Sotaro and the rest of class 1-A found themselves in heroics class. Today was a simpler day. There was no lesson in particular as they were just focused on practicing their skills. All Might was there, keeping an eye on things alongside Aizawa as the students worked on their special attacks and techniques. Sotaro watched as the entirety of the area was lit up in a bedazzle of lights. Green electricity seemingly whizzed by as Midoriya ran laps across the room, alongside Iida who was barely keeping pace with him. Loud explosions were echoing at another side as Bakugo blasted the many pillars of cement that were being set up for him by another teacher, Cementoss. It was destructive as it was effective. On the polar opposite, Aoyama was more surgical. Using his belly button laser, he was able to effectively pierce through a thick slab of concrete like it was butter. It was fascinating to see everyone work on their quirks, and it made Sotaro all the more excited to showcase his.

"You're not wearing your hero outfit?"

Sotaro turned around to see Tokoyami walk up to him. He was wearing a completely black attire: a black light absorbing cloak covered the entirety of his body. When it swayed when he moved, he could see him wearing a black tactical suit underneath as well, accompanied by a utility belt. He didn't have to guess hard to imagine what his favorite color was. "No," Sotaro answered. "The support company is still making adjustments. For now, I'll just be wearing my school tracksuit."

"Aw, and here I was excited to see what you had going for you."

Sotaro looked around. It was just him and Tokoyami talking with one another, with everyone being relatively far away to contribute to the conversation. He turned his head to look at Tokoyami who was just smiling at him. "D-did you say that?" Sotaro asked, wondering if he had somehow missed the fact that Tokoyami could talk with his mouth closed.

Tokoyami shook his head. "I didn't."

"I did." A black figure materialized behind Tokoyami. It was a shadow-like creature, solid yet giving a phantom-like appearance as it floated there, the creature's yellow mysterious eyes looking at him. "Nice to meet you Sotaro." The shadow extended a hand towards him. Sotaro warily responded by shaking it.

"Nice to meet you too. I don't believe we've met," Sotaro commented.

"I'm Dark Shadow," he answered. He then flicked a thumb at Tokoyami. "I'm this guy's quirk."

"Huh," Sotaro glanced at Tokoyami who just rolled his eyes.

"I apologize," Tokoyami said. "He's normally more well behaved than this."

"Nah," Sotaro responded. "I find it kind of cute!" He then reached out to gently pat Dark Shadow on the head. Dark Shadow was rightfully surprised, prompting Sotaro to reel back thinking he may have overstepped a boundary.

"I didn't tell you to stop," Dark Shadow remarked, looking at him.

Sotaro chuckled, patting Dark Shadow once again on the head, audibly hearing the shadow quietly purr. "I like him. Can we keep him?" Dark Shadow asked.

"No, we can't."

"But didn't you say you liked him too?"

Tokoyami visibly looked flustered, playfully swatting away Dark Shadow who just gleefully slinked back to the bottom of his coat. Sotaro was just amused at the entire affair. Tokoyami apologized once more. "He likes to run his mouth."

"I can see why he's your quirk then. You two go well together."

The bird looked away, clearing his throat. "So, we're supposed to be practicing our techniques. Have you managed to come up with your own stuff?"

Sotaro nodded. "I have actually. When you're pushing yourself constantly to come up with something to impress the faculty, you come up with a lot of stuff. That, and I had all the time in the world."

Tokoyami crossed his arms across his chest. "Mind showing me what you've got?"

"Uh, sure." Sotaro looked around and saw an empty spot in the large gymnasium. He motioned for Tokoyami to follow. The two stopped in front of a slab of concrete that Cementoss had set up prior. "I can split this in half if you're interested in seeing that."

"That seems like a large jump from the small breakdancing rock human from earlier."

Sotaro just chuckled and motioned for Tokoyami to step back. He did so, watching curiously to see what Sotaro would do. Sotaro took a deep breath, and the air around him crackled. In a matter of seconds a figure materialized behind him. It was the same rock figure Tokoyami had seen earlier today in class, except this time, it was a full size figure. It stood tall and proud, almost as large as All Might would be when his quirk was active. "Tephra: Posture Mode!" Sotaro cried out. The two then walked menacingly forward, with Sotaro leading the way. With a flourish, Sotaro pointed at the slab of concrete. Like an obedient underling, the rock figure charged forward, throwing the meanest right hook Tokoyami had ever seen. It was at that moment that he felt bad for the concrete.

A loud bang, almost as loud as a gunshot, echoed across Gymnasium Gamma, seemingly rocking the building to its very core. At this point, everyone stopped what they were doing to see what the commotion was about. By the time the smoke cleared, the slab of concrete that stood in front of Sotaro was indeed split in half. Bits of it were scattered to the floor, and a piece even dangled slightly before breaking apart entirely. The rock figure walked back towards Sotaro before standing behind him and crossing his arms intimidatingly. "Thanks Teph," Sotaro said, raising his hand to give his partner a thumbs up. The rock figure mimicked the gesture before disappearing entirely into thin air.

"What the hell did I just see?" Dark Shadow said, popping out behind Tokoyami.

"Was that Shimizu's Quirk?" Midoriya asked, landing next to Tokoyami. "I thought his quirk was that he could create tephra rock?"

"That is my quirk," Sotaro said, brushing off the dust of concrete that got onto his shoulders. "I just pushed myself very hard to master controlling it."

"Is that your final technique then? Posture Mode?" Tokoyami asked curiously.

"No," Sotaro answered flatly. "That's just one of my techniques. I still don't know what my final technique should be."

"Still, that was impressive," Midoriya said, looking at the pieces of rubble behind Sotaro. "That level of destruction is almost on par with Bakugo."

"Oh please," came a voice from the side. The three students turned their heads to see none other than Bakugo enter the fray. "That was nothing. He just wants to show off." He glared daggers at Sotaro. "My explosions can easily break apart that rock friend of yours. Don't think you're any special just because you got transferred to the Hero Course. I'm still number one around here, and you better understand that."

Midoriya and Tokoyami both frowned at Bakugo's arrogance but it was something they were both used to at this point and outwardly ignored it. It wasn't like Bakugo didn't have the bite to back up his bark. Sotaro on the other hand just remained casual and cool. "You're free to try."

"What was that?"

"I said," Sotaro said, nonchalantly smirking at him. "You can try to break him if you want. I doubt you'll succeed."

Midoriya and Tokoyami were quick to try and defuse the situation. "Come on, you two," Midoriya began, "this isn't a competition. We're here to practice our techniques and get better and..."

"Shut up, Deku," Bakugo said sharply at him. "If Shimizu wants to show us what he's made of, then I'd be happy to oblige."

Sotaro shrugged. In a few seconds, the rock figure from earlier materialized once more, looking, wisps of smoke and ash billowing from its form. It stood a few paces away from them, looking down at Bakugo with a blank stare. Bakugo's hands visibly lit up, the air around it crackling as small explosions began to trigger. He glanced at Sotaro from the corner of his eyes and Sotaro responded by gesturing for him to go ahead. With a blast, Bakugo charged forward, lighting up the entire field in front of them in a dazzle of lights as an explosion rocked the entire gymnasium.

Tokoyami, Midoriya, and Sotaro all leaned back slightly as the blast of air nearly toppled them down towards the ground. It was clear that Bakugo was venting out frustration. When the smoke cleared, both Tokoyami and Midoriya were surprised to find that Sotaro's rock figure was still standing. Well, half of it anyways. Half of the rock figure was split in half, bits and pieces of it were blown off and destroyed to smithereens. It was charred and burnt completely, the smell of ash eminent in the air. "Well how about that!" Bakugo cried out. "The newcomer isn't as strong as he thinks he is!"

"I wouldn't be so sure about that," Tokoyami remarked. He then pointed towards the rock figure.

Bakugo turned his head and sure enough, the rock figure was reassembling itself. It proceeded to absorb all the smoke that was the result of his explosions, and used it to rebuild and reform itself back to a solid standing state. In a matter of seconds, the rock figure was standing proudly once more, with no scratch on it whatsoever.

"Pesky little twerp, aren't you," Bakugo growled. "I'll just have to destroy you!"

Bakugo then proceeded to relay explosion after explosion at the rock figure. Each and every time he had blown it up to pieces, it would reassemble itself back once more, like a statue that refused to die. What made it worse was that each time it repaired itself, it seemingly got stronger and sturdier, to the point where Bakugo's explosions were beginning to do little to no damage at all. Bakugo stood there, panting heavily. He had thrown everything he could at the rock and it refused to break at all. It was also becoming harder and harder to breathe. He tried to throw one more explosion at it, but found his legs faltering. He stumbled to the ground, completely spent and exhausted.

Midoriya rushed over, wanting to make sure Bakugo was alright. Tokoyami looked at Sotaro who was sweating slightly as well at this point. It would seem Bakugo's flurry of attacks took its toll on him as well. "Kacchan! Are you alright?" Midoriya cried out.

"I can't...breathe..." Bakugo sputtered out.

"Shimizu!"

It was at that point that Aizawa jumped into the fray. He focused his eyes on Sotaro and in an instant, the rock figure standing over a few feet away from them disintegrated into nothingness. Bakugo began coughing, taking deep breaths of fresh air. Sotaro himself stumbled slightly, feeling the control on his quirk slip from his hands completely.

Aizawa breathed a sigh of relief and glared at Sotaro. "Didn't I tell you not to use that portion of your quirk when training?"

"I apologize," Sotaro said, bowing his head. "I did it out of habit."

"What am I going to do with you all..." Aizawa muttered to himself. "Well, don't do it again. The last thing we want is for everyone here to choke on ash." He turned to Midoriya who was helping Bakugo up. "Midoriya, can you do me a favor and help him get to Recovery Girl?"

Midoriya nodded, letting Bakugo lean on him whilst the said student growled angrily at him.

"You were doing that?" Tokoyami said, looking at Sotaro.

"Technically, yes," Sotaro answered. "I can also use my quirk to slowly choke people. The ash that I can make with my quirk is hazardous for breathing. Too much of it and you'll struggle to breathe. Even I myself is not immune to it."

"Speaking of which," Aizawa said, turning back to look at the two of them. "I actually needed to talk to the two of you."

"Us two?" Tokoyami asked.

Aizawa nodded. "Tokoyami," he began, "I'm giving you the task of sticking with Shimizu for a few weeks. Since he just recently transferred, he'll be needing to catch up with his studies. You'll be his tutor in the meantime since you're not awfully busy at the hero agency. Is that alright?"

"Yes, that's fine," Tokoyami answered.

Aizawa then left, having needed to attend to other students. It was at that point Dark Shadow appeared beside Tokoyami. He had a gleeful smile on his face. "We can keep him!"

Tokoyami just rolled his eyes whilst Sotaro just chuckled.

0 = 0 = 0 = 0 = 0 = 0

The first week of being in the Hero Course was the most eventful for Sotaro. Juggling his studies whilst actually doing hero training was a lot easier said than done. When he was still in the Business Course, he found it relatively easy to stick to a schedule: get back to the dorm from school, do all his homework, and read up on future topics to be prepared for class the next day. Now, things were a lot different. Hero training left him utterly exhausted, and by the time he got back, all he wanted to do was sleep. It didn't help that he was assigned to the fourth floor.

Unlike the other students, Sotaro wasn't working at a hero agency. Thus, it came as a surprise for him when he noted that some of his classmates were absent during a particular day. He placed his belongings at this seat and walked over to Mineta and Kaminari who were chatting with one another. "So," he began, "is everyone working at the hero agency then?" he asked, looking at the empty seats. Midoriya, Tokoyami, and even Yaoyorzu weren't present for the day.

"Yeah," Kaminari answered. "It's often every other day. You just get used to it."

"When do you guys go then?" Sotaro asked. The mood of the two immediately deflated. MIneta looked like he was about to cry, whilst Kaminari just looked devastated. "Was it...something I said?"

"Oh don't mind them," Ashido said, passing behind Sotaro. "They haven't found an agency yet that would accept them."

"Oh," Sotaro remarked. That would explain the look of depression the two both had. Sotaro patted them on the back. "Don't worry guys, I'm sure you'll find one!"

"That's easy for you to say, Shimizu," Mineta said, looking at him. "You just transferred here and already you have a smashing quirk that can rival Bakugo's."

Sotaro laughed sheepishly. "I mean, I still have to get my license and stuff. You guys got plenty of time. I have a lot of ground to cover."

That he did.

Most of the time Sotaro spent was catching up on lessons and bulking himself up to be on par with everyone else. The fact that he was already out of breath just by climbing up to his room was a sign that he needed to be in more shape. The other times were spent being tutored by Tokoyami. Having the bird person as company was greatly appreciated. Sotaro needed someone to help him make sense of the math homework that Ectoplasm was giving them. The two of them were at Dragon's Cave Cafe, finding that the cafe's quiet atmosphere was a great place to study at. The fact that it was relatively cheap helped too.

"Okay, after you get to this part, you need to do this to simplify the equation." Tokoyami began jotting down the solution. He highlighted the important part, informing Sotaro that keeping everything simple and concise was key to getting the right answer. Sotaro himself was focusing intently, nodding and jotting his own notes down. They covered a lot of topics, and they were just halfway through the lesson. Sotaro felt like his brain had overheated. While he himself wasn't a stranger to studying for a long period, the sheer intensity of the topics he needed to understand and grasp quickly was proving to be a big challenge.

"You okay there?"

Sotaro turned his head to see Dark Shadow floating next to him. In his hand was the cup of tea that were served to them earlier. "I'm okay," Sotaro answered, smiling at the shadow and thanked him appropriately. "Just...this is exhausting."

"Oh, tell me about it," Dark Shadow responded. "I'm not the one studying it, but even I get tired just from having to hear all of this discussion." He shrugged. "Why do you guys study this anyway? It doesn't seem important."

"You know, right now, I kind of want to agree with you," Sotaro answered. "I don't see myself needing to figure out derivatives and knowing how to differentiate equations when I'm fighting villains."

"Oh shush you both," Tokoyami said, glancing at the two. He was busy checking over the answers Sotaro handed him for the practice questions. "Math is just as important as hero training, and you should know that Shimizu. You came from the business course after all."

"Well yeah, but that was more so practical. We needed to come up with strategies on how to properly market heroes, and what would be the best way to create brand images. That sort of thing." He took a sip from the tea, and his face visibly balked a little at how differently he imagined it tasting. He put it down for now.

"Do you miss it?"

Sotaro thought for a moment. "No," he answered after a few seconds. "I don't."

"What makes you say that?"

"The company's definitely better, that's for sure." Tokoyami smiled at the compliment. "But really, the company is much healthier. It's not as prominent but because there are so few slots for the hero course, the ones that don't get in and get assigned to different courses, like me for example, have this sort of...aggressive determination."

Tokoyami leaned on his left hand. "What do you mean? Is everyone hypercompetitive?"

"Pretty much," Sotaro answered. "Everyone is gunning to be the best student they can be, because the better you are, the better your chances of being shifted to the Hero Course, if that is your goal. But if it isn't, it's in your best interest to be the number one student because you get better chances at finding a job once you graduate."

"I never thought of it like that. I always assumed the competitive nature was primarily restricted to the Hero Course."

"I think the entire student body of UA is competitive." Sotaro shrugged. "Speaking of which, you were at the hero agency, right?"

"I was."

"How was it?"

Tokoyami leaned back on the booth chair. "It was okay," he answered.

Sotaro frowned at him. "Really? It was 'just okay'?"

"It was." Tokoyami looked at Sotaro who was pouting at him playfully. "What do you want me to say?"

"I don't know. Aren't you working for like, the number 2 hero, right now? Hawks? Wouldn't you be on top of the world because of that?"

"I am," Tokoyami said, continuing to sound plain and boring.

It was Dark Shadow however who gave Sotaro the answer he was looking for. "Oh you should have seen him, Shimizu. He was bouncing all over the place when he received the news."

"I was not!"

"Yes, you were. You can't lie to me, Tokoyami. I know what you're thinking, you know."

Tokoyami huffed, trying to avert Sotaro's playful gaze. Dark Shadow however just rolled his eyes. "So you know what he's thinking?" Sotaro asked.

"I do actually. He knows what I'm thinking. I know what he's thinking. We're two bright minds in sync with one another." Dark Shadow then glanced at Tokoyami. "Or maybe it's just one big brain and one other small brain." Tokoyami just shook his head at the teasing.

Sotaro always found their dynamic amusing, but at the same time curious. "But you two have different personalities, right?"

Dark Shadow nodded. "We do. He likes to read. I like to just lounge around and do whatever."

"All he does is sleep," Tokoyami added, glaring at Dark Shadow. "Sleep, eat, and maybe do some training. But after that? Sleep again."

Sotaro laughed. "You make him sound like he's a cat." That was when an interesting thought crossed Sotaro's mind. "So if you guys have different personalities, has this ever been a problem when you have a relationship, Tokoyami?"

He cocked his head towards the side. "What do you mean?"

"Have you ever liked someone, and then Dark Shadow doesn't like that person? That sort of thing? Have you ever had...problems like that?"

Tokoyami and Dark Shadow looked at one another at that brief moment. "No," Tokoyami answered, after the pause. "I've been too busy with school work anyways to really have the time to have such relationships."

"No one catches your fancy in class?" Sotaro asked teasingly.

"Not until recently," Dark Shadow answered. To Sotaro's surprise, Tokoyami didn't reproach him for speaking for him.

"Ohhh," Sotaro said, leaning in. "Can I ask who it is?"

Dark Shadow and Tokoyami glanced at one another, a quick series of mental conversations happening between them in such a short amount of time. "No," Tokoyami eventually answered. "That's a secret."

Sotaro pouted. "Aw, but I thought we were best friends!"

He chuckled, finding Sotaro's face amusing. "We are. Maybe I'll tell you some other time."

"I'll hold you to that.

Sotaro and Tokoyami's relationship grew stronger as the days went by. It was a give and take. Sotaro helped Tokoyami in his training, and Tokoyami helped Sotaro in catching up in his lessons. There days were spent either sparring with one another whenever the chance presented itself, or just hanging around and doing whatever. Most of said hanging around were spent at the Dragon's Cave Cafe. Despite how bad the coffee was, it was still cheap and the quiet atmosphere allowed them to study together without much interruption. Studying at the dorm would have been great, but being occasionally nagged by Iida was something they both got tired of eventually when he kept telling them to clean up whenever the dining table got slightly distrubed.

They were such good patrons that they eventually got to know the owner of the cafe, Kaio. "So," Kaio said, walking up to their table. "What does the lovely couple want?"

Sotaro blushed a crimson red. Kaio teased them often of being a couple, commenting on how they acted like they were on a date whenever they entered the cafe. "We are not," Sotaro answered, trying to sound serious.

"Uh, huh," Kaio said, clearly not believing him. His quirk told him otherwise. "You guys want coffee again?"

"No, actually," Tokoyami answered. "Do you have juice?"

"I have orange juice in the back."

"Two please," Tokoyami answered.

Kaio left them to their devices, and the two continued on with their study session. With Tokoyami's tutelage, Sotaro was picking up on his lessons quite fast. It eventually got to a point where there study time wasn't as intense as it used to be. It was an hour or so later that Kaio handed them a bunch of cookies he had just finished baking. "So," he began looking at the two of them. "Why didn't you two order coffee?"

While Sotaro was trying to be tactful, Tokoyami just straight up answered. "It's terrible."

"What?!" Kaio was rightfully hurt. "It's terrible?"

"Yeah..." Sotaro added. "You should consider doing something else. Didn't we suggest you do Bubble Tea instead?"

Kaio just sighed frustratedly. "Fine," he muttered under his breath. "Is it really that terrible?" he asked himself rhetorically, putting his hand under his chin.

"Well, we're finished early," Sotaro said, smiling at Tokoyami. "You want to hang out at the park?"

"Sounds delightful."

The two paid Kaio his due and left the coffee shop, leaving Kaio wondering how to change his menu. It was then that the backdoor opened, and a sleepy looking person popped into the fray. "Did you have customers?" Kaio's boyfriend, Shuichi, asked.

"I did," Kaio answered. "Tell me, Shuichi, is my coffee really that bad?"

The lizard looked at him, wondering if it was a trick question. "Why, did your customers mention something about it?"

"They did. They said it was terrible."

"They're right."

"What?!" Kaio cried out in utter disbelief. "You think it's terrible too?"

"I'm sorry," Shuichi answered. "But I do. I just didn't have the heart to tell you. Didn't I mention you should try something else?"

"Bubble Tea?"

"Yeah. I like those," Shuichi answered. He yawned for a brief moment, rubbing the sleep from his eyes. "Even more so since I can suck the tapioca bubbles out and stuff."

Kaio smirked. "If you wanted me to suck at your Bubble straw, you could just ask."

"First of all," Shuichi said, looking a bit irritated. "It is not a straw. Second, yes, you really should start selling those. And third, get over here. I need your mouth."

As Kaio and Shuichi engaged in some sexual behavior, Sotaro and Tokoyami found themselves walking at the nearby park. There was a gentle breeze in the air. Various people were minding their own business: a family was taking a picnic, a group of kids were throwing frisbees at one another. There were a group of teenagers chatting loudly while taking selfies with each other. A man in a suit eating his sandwich by the nearby bench. Everyone was just enjoying the peaceful atmosphere, the trees providing numerous shades for someone to rest under. Sotaro and Tokoyami found themselves walking to the nearby dancing fountain, the two talking about anything and everything. They sat down at the wooden bench, happy and content to just have one another as company.

Whether it was because of the warm atmosphere or just being comfortable with one another, they sat close, their hands resting atop one another. Sotaro turned his head to look at Tokoyami, watching his fellow classmate look around and smile at the beautiful sight before him. It took Tokoyami a few seconds to realize Sotaro was staring at him.

"W-what?" Tokoyami asked. "Is there something on my face?"

"Uh, no," Sotaro answered, feeling a bit embarrassed to be caught staring. It wasn't even his intention. "I'm sorry. I shouldn't be staring."

Tokoyami chuckled. "It's alright," he answered. "I don't--"

Before he could continue, he was cut off as Sotaro leaned in to kiss him. It was brief, short, and over as soon as it began. It caught Tokoyami off guard, to the point where he sat there, frozen for a bit as Sotaro reeled back, looking embarrassed and blushing deeply. "S-sorry I just..."

"I-it's okay," Tokoyami sputtered out, feeling his stomach do somersaults. "I-I don't...I don't mind." The two looked away from one another, feeling awkward and utterly unsure what to do next. "I, uh..." For once in his life, Tokoyami was at a loss for words. He scratched the back of his head, his heart beating frantically in his chest. He took a deep breath to try and settle himself down. "What was that?" he managed to say after thinking about it.

"I...don't know," Sotaro answered, looking at Tokoyami. "I guess I just...I wanted to do it and...I'm sorry for making things awkward." Goodness, Sotaro wanted to disappear at that moment. If there was any other time in his life he wished invisibility was his quirk, now would have been it.

"No, no," Tokoyami said, reaching forward to try and make Sotaro feel comfortable. He found himself laughing as a way to defuse the situation. "It's okay, I'm just...I wasn't expecting it."

He then placed his hand atop Sotaro's, the boy feeling quite content to have it there. The rest of the day was spent hanging out with one another, the air of awkwardness between them dissipating like it was never there to begin with. The kiss, as short and as impactful as it was, wasn't brought up again throughout the entirety of the day. However, it was clear to the both of them that they were thinking about it in the back of their minds.

Coincidentally, the next few days passed where they both happened to be busy. It allowed both Sotaro and Tokoyami to reflect on what they thought of each other, and what they thought of their relationship. Sotaro was feeling anxious, thinking that he may have overstepped himself by being too forward. He was worried he ruined what friendship he had with Tokoyami. He liked the boy, but if Tokoyami didn't feel the same way, then Sotaro was content to just have them be as friends nonetheless, as hurtful as that was. This constant notion hanging over his head proved to be a distraction during his make up classes for Aizawa.

Tokoyami on the other hand was more confused than anything. He was unsure if he wanted this. Well, he did, just that he was scared. He was a hero in training, and he wasn't sure if the idea of having a relationship would be beneficial for him. He was concerned it was going to be a distraction. Throughout his entire time at Kyushu and patrolling the streets alongside Hawks, his mind kept going back and forth on the matter. One moment he was sure of himself: he liked Sotaro, and Sotaro clearly liked him back. It was a no brainer. Another moment, he flipped. They were both fledgling heroes, and while having a relationship would have been nice, it would be a distraction not just for him, but for Sotaro as well. They both had great quirks and it didn't take a genius to think they had a great trajectory in front of them. Tokoyami wasn't keen on messing it up.

He sighed. Even Dark Shadow wasn't sure what to say, given how talkative he normally was. This was a decision Dark Shadow left to Tokoyami. But if there was one thing for sure, they were both in agreement that they both liked Sotaro. On his way back from Kyushu, Tokoyami found himself walking through the streets of Musutafu as he headed back to UA, still lost in his thoughts. Out of sheer habit, he found himself walking through the same street Dragon's Cave Cafe was situated at. Feeling a bit parched, he figured he could pop in to get a drink. The cafe was empty saved for Kaio who was quietly humming to himself as he worked at the counter.

"Welcome! How can I...oh, hey Tokoyami," Kaio greeted. "I haven't seen you in a while." He then leaned against the counter and smiled at him teasingly. "Where's your boyfriend?"

Tokoyami visibly didn't react, instead making a beeline towards the counter. Kaio, through his quirk, immediately picked up that something was bothering him. "Is something the matter? Did you two fight?"

"No, we didn't," Tokoyami answered, putting his things down. He sat at the bar stool looking at the menu. "You're serving Bubble Tea now?"

"I am. Would you like some?"

"Yes. I'd like to have some apple tea please."

Kaio clapped his hands. "Coming right up!" As he began to mix up the ingredients necessary for Tokoyami's drink, he glanced behind him and could see the boy still deep in thought. "Seriously, Tokoyami, what's the matter? Is everything alright?"

"I'm just...unsure."

"Of what?"

Tokoyami briefly debated whether he should tell Kaio or not, but then realized he had nothing to lose by telling him. He could really use the advice anyways. "Sotaro kissed me and I'm wondering if I should reciprocate his feelings."

It was at that point that Kaio nearly spilled the apple juice he was mixing onto the counter. "He did--oh snap!" He managed to quickly save it, saving him the trouble from cleaning up his own mess afterwards. "He did?" he asked, a second or so later. "You two make a good couple though!" Kaio could barely contain his happiness for his two favorite customers. "What are you wondering about?"

"I'm just not sure if I should do it," Tokoyami reasoned. "We're both aspiring heroes and I'm worried that having this thing might distract us, you know?"

Kaio sighed, shaking his head. "You're young, Tokoyami. I understand that you want to be responsible. That's admirable. You're definitely smarter than I am when I was your age. But," Kaio then handed him the apple flavored tea he ordered. Tokoyami thanked him appropriately. "If you really like him, then you should go for it. Regret is something you don't want to experience. You'll spend your whole life thinking about it." Kaio smiled at him. "You can give it a try. If it doesn't work, then at least you can rest easy knowing you two gave it a shot."

Tokoyami later headed back to UA, drink in hand, Kaio's words ringing in his ears as he walked up the street. While he wasn't sure in his answer yet, he could feel it forming at the back of his mind. Talking to Kaio helped him realize things. He only hoped he was making the right choice.

0 = 0 = 0 = 0 = 0 = 0

It was later that evening that Sotaro was at his room when he heard a knock at the door. "Who is it?" He went towards the door and swung it open. His heart immediately started picking up pace upon his eyes landing on Tokoyami. The bird was wearing his typical comfortable nightwear, a dark shirt with grey sweatpants. "Tokoyami!" Sotaro cried out. This was probably the first time they had seen each other again after their time back at the park. "What is it?" he asked.

"I wanted to check in on you," he answered. "You, uh, busy?"

Sotaro's eyes flicked back towards his desk. He was working on an essay that was due in two days but he figured he could slack off on it for now. "Not really," he answered. "You wanted to hang out?"

Tokoyami smiled. "I did. You want to come to my room? We can watch a movie together."

"I'd love to!"

A few moments later, Sotaro found himself walking into Tokoyami's bedroom. It was a lot darker than he imagined it to be. Black drapes were used to cover the window balcony. The bed covers were also drenched in the color black, along with the cushions that were peeking out from underneath. There was a small purple LED lamp that bathed the entire room with an eerie, yet cozy atmosphere. Tokoyami quietly shuffled towards his desk, moving things around and putting things away. Sotaro sat at the edge of the bed, listening to Tokoyami ramble endless apologies about the state his room was currently in.

"It's fine," Sotaro said. "Your room is a lot better than mine, that's for sure."

Eventually, Tokoyami was able to finally convince himself that things were 'clean' enough and walked over to Sotaro and joined him on the bed. He grabbed his laptop and placed it in front of them on the small table and the two began to sift through the movies available on the streaming platform. It took awhile for the two to decide; Sotaro wanted something science fiction whilst Tokoyami wanted something with dark humor. Eventually, the two caved in and compromised: opting to watch an action movie made back at a time when quirks weren't a thing yet. It showed its age, with the terrible CG and the somewhat cheesy dialogue, but the two enjoyed it nonetheless.

As the movie went on in the background, Sotaro found himself staring at Tokoyami again. Tokoyami noticed it and figured now was the best time to address it. "I've been thinking about what happened back at the park."

"Oh, is that so? What about it?"

Tokoyami sighed. He placed a hand on Sotaro's shoulder. The sounds of the movie from his laptop were getting drowned out by the thunderous pouding in his chest. Sotaro looked equally nervous as well. He wasn't sure what Tokoyami was going to say. "Sotaro, I..." All he needed to do was just say it. Kaio's words rang in Tokoyami's ear. After taking a moment to strengthen his resolve, he nodded once more and continued his sentence. "Sotaro, I like you too."

"Y-you mean..."

"Yes," Tokoyami answered. Without even hesitating, he leaned forward, his lips meeting with Sotaro once more. The sounds of the movie slowly faded into the background, being drowned out by the sound of their excited hearts beating. Tokoyami was nervous at first, unsure of what he was doing. But he quickly became comfortable as he could feel Sotaro pushing back at him. In reality, it was short and quick, but for the two of them, it felt like an eternity. By the time they broke off, they were out of breath, faces flushed with red from the excitement. Their eyes met for a brief moment, before they dove back in, completely eager for more. Their hands roamed all over, curious to explore each other's body. Neither knew what they were doing, instead letting their instincts guide one another, and drawing from all the porn they had watched in their respective private times.

Sotaro slipped a hand underneath Tokoyami's shirt, feeling the soft, yet well defined muscles that were the product of the countless hours Tokoyami invested in training. The two broke off, Tokoyami letting out a low moan as Sotaro's hands glided over his chest. He even let out a squeak as Sotaro playfully tweaked his nipples. Sotaro could barely even hear himself think over the loud beating of his heart. He couldn't believe he was actually doing this, as he had wanted this for the longest time now. Tokoyami meanwhile was thinking the same, feeling more and more comfortable as their impromptu makeout session continued.

"Do you...do you want to..."

"Yes."

The movie completely being forgotten in the background, the two horny students began to undress themselves. Sotaro began to pull down his shorts, with Tokoyami doing the same. A few moments later, they both stood in their underwear, both sporting tents that pointed at one another. Sotaro's curious hands gripped Tokoyami's erection through the fabric, taking note of it pulsing in his grip. "Have you done this sort of thing before?" he asked, breathing heavily.

"N-no," Tokoyami answered shyly. "I've always done it by myself...and sometimes with Dark Shadow's help."

Sotaro then got on his knees, sensually pulling down Tokoyami's underwear like he was unwrapping a present that was solely meant for him. Tokoyami's cock flopped out and nearly slapped him across the cheeks. A bit of pre actually splashed across his face, and Sotaro licked the fluids that got onto his lips. His eyes marvelled at Tokoyami's tool. It was fairly thick, with a decent length. It bobbed up and down, before swinging left and right like a perverted pendulum. Sotaro leaned forward, tentatively sticking his tongue out to get a taste of it. Tokoyami breathed in heavily the moment Sotaro's tongue made contact with his member. He had been so busy the past few days that he was unable to attend to his own basic needs. His heart skipped a beat as soon as Sotaro began to play with his cock. His own legs buckled, and he stumbled backwards onto the bed. He flopped onto his back unceremoniously, earning a chuckle from Sotaro. "S-sorry," he said bashfully.

Sotaro crawled forwards, placing his hands on Tokoyami's thighs. He gently nuzzled Tokoyami's length, Sotaro's hands idly cradling Tokoyami's balls. "It's okay," he answered. "Do you want me to stop?"

"No," Tokoyami replied.

Sotaro nodded. He then continued to work, opening his mouth up to swallow Tokoyami's length fully. It was a lot harder than the porn actors made it look. In all the videos Sotaro had seen, the people in them made sucking cock look like it was as easy as eating a banana. But as it quickly dawned on him, it was more difficult than he originally envisioned. His jaw began to strain, and drool began to leak at the sides of his mouth. It would have been quite comical given that it was his first time, but Tokoyami wasn't complaining. Tokoyami was on cloud nine. His chest rose up and down with his heavy breathing, almost having a death grip on the bed sheets. His eyes were closed tightly, his face scrunched up as he desperately held himself back. He didn't want this moment to end, but my god, Sotaro's mouth felt amazing. His hips moved of their own accord, almost crashing into Sotaro who wasn't expecting it.

"Fuck..." Tokoyami muttered under his breath. "How...are you...so good at this?"

Sotaro stopped, wiping the drool that was making a mess of things. He quickly took his shirt so it wouldn't ruin it. "Beginner's luck?" he mumbled, earning a light laugh from Tokoyami. His cock throbbed in Sotaro's hand as he jerked it off. His jaw actually hurt now and he opted to just finish his friend with this. Tokoyami didn't hold out long soon after. He felt his end reaching and he tried to stop Sotaro but by then it was too late. Like a volcano erupting, Tokoyami shot off like a firework. A squirt of semen shot up high, nearly hitting the ceiling, before dropping back down and making a mess on his chest. The resulting ejaculates came soon after, and Sotaro wanted it all in his mouth. He leaned forward, aligning himself just in time as another burst came out. Tokoyami's seed tasted sweet, yet bitter; a taste that Sotaro found interesting. The smell was specific, making Sotaro's nostrils flare up in excitement. It wasn't long until it was over, and Sotaro relegated himself to cleaning up the mess his partner made on his chest. The consistency was thick and creamy, just the way he preferred it.

Tokoyami cursed under his breath, a wave of exhaustion passing through him. He wiped the sweat off the brow of his head, glancing down at Sotaro who was licking his chest clean. "That was...that was amazing..."

"I know," Sotaro replied, looking at him with bedroom eyes. He then climbed onto the bed, his underwear visibly bulging with a wet spot at the center. He climbed atop Tokoyami, before planting a quick kiss on his lips. "Can I have my turn?"

Tokoyami chuckled. "What did you have in mind?"

"I want to fuck you."

Tokoyami nodded. "If that's what you want, you seem overdressed."

Sotaro smirked, before easing off him. He took a moment to undress, revealing his erect pecker to his partner. He was equally thick and long as Tokoyami, but maybe a smidge or two thicker. Either way, it was a sight to behold. "Have you done this sort of thing before?" Sotaro asked, gently guiding Tokoyaim to get on all fours.

"N-no," Tokoyami answered nervously. "Not really. But I am interested to try it. Just...take it slow, okay?" he asked, sounding very vulnerable.

It dawned on Sotaro that this was their respective first times. "Oh," Sotaro replied. "I'll take it slow. Tell me if I'm hurting you and I can stop."

Sotaro was about to move into position when he stopped. His hands traced the outline of Tokoyami's plump rump. He squeezed it tenderly, noticing how soft and firm it felt in his hands. He playfully spread it open, earning him a low moan from his friend. "W-what are you doing?" Tokoyami asked, wondering what the hold up was. He then felt a warm breath caress the sides of his backsides, making him tense up instinctively. He was about to blurt out a question but it was drowned out by the sudden sensation of a tongue flicking at his ass. Sotaro tenderly lapped at his winking star, noting the distinct flavor. Tokoyami's back curled like a cat's, the man doing his best to relax at the sudden barrage of foreign sensations.

"S-Sotaro..." he mewled like a kitten. "This feels...weird..."

Sotaro either didn't hear him or ignored his words as he continued to indulge himself in what Tokoyami was offering. He stuck his tongue, feeling Tokoyami's entire hole clamp up in response to the alien invader. He caressed every side he could muster, pushing forward to spread Tokoyami further. Wet sloppy kisses soon followed as Sotaro continued eating Tokoyami's ass out. Sotaro spread him wide open, using his arms to keep Tokoyami's two plump cheeks spread as far as he could. The bird meanwhile was hanging on at the bedsheets. It was a weird, yet pleasurable feeling that he grew accustomed to as Sotaro kept doing what he was doing. Even more so when Sotaro's tongue began to trail down to his own taint and fondle his balls. Eventually, Sotaro backed off, wiping the drool that was dripping down the side of his lips.

"You taste great," Sotaro remarked, lightly slapping Tokoyami's cheeks.

"You could have told me you were doing that."

"I wanted to surprise you," Sotaro answered. "That and I wanted to lube you up."

Tokoyami nodded. "Well, I have a feeling we're still going to need the real thing. It's over there," he said, pointing towards his bedside table. Sotaro reached forward and took out the bottle. He popped it open, applying a healthy, if a bit excessive, dose of it on his stiff cock and to Tokoyami's waiting hole. The cool liquid made him tense up slightly, and Tokoyami had to remind himself to relax as doing the opposite would make things worse. Before long, Sotaro was well lubed up and knocking on his backside. The tip itself felt bigger than anything. He inadvertently grunted, feeling a twinge of pain emanate from his backside. Sotaro immediately stopped, worried that he was hurting Tokoyami.

"You okay?" Sotaro asked.

"I'm good," Tokoyami responded. He took breaths to steady himself. Sotaro could feel Tokoyami's hole valiantly try to push him out. "You're just...really big."

Sotaro waited for Tokoyami to adjust, Tokoyami's sphincter tensing and relaxing as each second ticked by. Eventually however, Tokoyami gave the nod, prompting Sotaro to push forward. Tokoyami dictated the pace, stopping and slowing as necessary to allow him to take in more of Sotaro's length. It wasn't long until he completely went balls deep. By then, both of them were breathing heavily, their hearts beating in sync as they were connected together as one.

The pain Tokoyami felt earlier was replaced with numbness, and a certain sense of pleasure began to kick in the moment Sotaro started his thrusts. It was slow at first, a gentle rhythm to start things off. Sotaro noted how tightly wound Tokoyami was still, the lewd sloppy sounds of his cock exiting Tokoyami's hole ringing loudly in the quiet room. Tokoyami himself rocked back and forth with the motion, his body moving like a pendulum in time. Soon their pace quickened, the pain Tokoyami felt ceasing to exist entirely and was replaced with pleasure completely. Sotaro breathed heavily, his hips moving at a consistent pace.

The bedframe creaked, the metal straining under their combined weights. The floorboards themselves were getting scratched as the posts moved back and forth as the rhythm picked up pace. At that moment, both forgot where they were and just focused on themselves. Sotaro himself was lost in his own world. Tokoyami's ass felt wonderful. It was unlike anything he had before. His heavy balls slapped against the man's backside, threatening to leave a mark for the next day.

Tokoyami cursed under his breath, his body craving for more powerful thrusts to rock him. His grip on the bed sheets tightened, the whites on his knuckles beginning to show. Before long, he cried out, a loud moan escaping his lips as pleasure rocked his body to the core.

Sotaro smiled, hearing Tokoyami sing for him. He decided to switch things up, slowing the pace of his thrusts and instead focusing on going deeper. The sound of skin slapping against skin echoed across the room as they continued into the night. At this point the movie had finished and was just quietly scrolling through the credits. The sounds drowned out by the low moans both shared with each other at the moment.

However, all good things came to an end. Sotaro tried to hold himself back. He wanted to keep fucking Tokoyami, but his limit was eventually reached. He grunted, his thrusts slowing down to an erratic pace. His breathing quickened as his balls climbed up. Without warning, he erupted as he buried himself deep into his partner. White hot cum ejaculated out of his cock, spilling deep into Tokoyami's ass. A warm sensation began to radiate all over Tokoyami's body as he felt fuller than normal. Excess cum began to leak out at the sides, dripping and staining the bedsheets underneath them. Sotaro rode out the entirety of his orgasm, his thrusts slowing and slowing until he eventually stopped entirely. He breathed heavily, pulling his cock out and watching as dribbles of cum dripped out Tokoyami's battered backside. It was quite a mess.

The two of them collapsed onto the bed, exhausted and utterly spent. Neither spoke at that moment, both relishing at what they had just committed. Sotaro's heart began to relax as the excitement died down. He let out a sigh of relief as he rested his head on the pillow. "Fuck..."

"I'm not going to sit well tomorrow," Tokoyami said, turning around to face Sotaro on the bed. "My ass hurts."

"Sorry," Sotaro said, smiling sheepishly at Tokoyami.

"It's fine," he answered. He then leaned forward and the two shared a tender kiss with one another. "Would you mind sleeping with me tonight in my room?"

Sotaro smiled. "Sure thing."

Although unspoken, the two knew that their relationship had now changed for the better.

**Author's Notes:

HAPPY NEW YEAR EVERYBODY!

I totally meant to post this on December 31st, but I forgot. That said, can you guys believe it? We're in 2021! Time really moved fast when we were all in quarantine. I know that the world isn't exactly the same as it used to be, and hoping that it reverts back to the way it was is wishful thinking at this point, but I still cling to the hope that things will get back to normal nonetheless.

This marks the last commission I was tasked with for 2020. I did a lot of story commissions in 2020.**

I'm taking a break though. I need to prioritize some things. I have a college degree I have to finish, so yeah. I really need to be a responsible student and all that. But that doesn't mean I'll stop doing them. I'll open up eventually again. But I'll be focusing more on my stuff and some personal writing. There are some stories I want to write.
