Cyniras sighed and headed down the street, the bustling wave of other dragons filed all around him. Despite the blaring noise, overwhelming smells and crowded streets, he felt alone. It had been a few weeks since he and Vaihorn had opened up to each other and had had an amazing night of sex, laughs and a great many kinks. Vaihorn hadn't changed; he was still as loving and as kinky as he was on the first night. He was perfect towards Cyniras. However he couldn't help but want something else, he knew he was a bisexual and recently he had been having more frequent sex dreams with dragonesses. These had ranged from just images of them exposed to normal sex to a variety of kinks he'd never tried before. Throughout his day he was haunted by these erotic fantasies that he couldn't escape.

He had confronted Vaihorn directly with queries of his dreams and images and they talked it over for many hours, drawing possible meanings and consequences. Finally he concluded that he was subconsciously trying to tell himself that what he needed was some female company, maybe even a mate. The trouble was, he didn't even know any females who were his age, the few he knew who might be considered relatively close were not his type or were uninterested in being anything more than friends. He knew it could be a lengthy process to find a female, an even longer one to find one who could fulfil his sexual desires and kinks.

He looked up again, isolated in a sea of hundreds of others. Many females passed him, some big, some small, some young and some old but try as he might Cyniras couldn't bring himself to chat to any of them. He often acted outgoing and unafraid when he was with his friends but he was a very shy dragon, he can still barely bring himself to ask Vaihorn for sex despite how frequent and fun it might be. Instead he just wandered, like a leaf on the breeze through the branches of the street where other leaves held strongly on but he drifted mindlessly towards rock bottom.

Eventually after a lot of time out and about, thinking and wandering the streets of the town he headed back home. He dragged himself through the cave entrance to be met by a large grinning golden dragon. His smile quickly faded when he saw his student though, he looked down at the sad sleepy face of the little dragon and quickly became concerned.

"What's wrong honey?" asked Vaihorn as he led his student deeper into the cave and onto the soft pile of bedding used as a settee.

"Nothing." muttered Cyniras laying his head down on the soft bedding and blinking long dreary blinks.

"Come on, I know when something is bothering you. Now, you can either tell me and I'll do whatever is in my power to help or you can keep it locked up inside of you and it'll be a lot more difficult to solve. So, what's wrong?"

Cyniras sighed, there was no hiding it. "It's these dreams I've been having, they're still here and they torment me nightly. I can't get past it. I want to sleep and I'm really tired and I know the dreams aren't bad but it's like it's taunting me about having no mate or girlfriend. And no matter how hard I try I can't bring myself to even talk to any dragonesses, let a loan ask them out. Maybe the dreams mean nothing, right Vaihorn?"

Cyniras sighed heavily and looked up at the large form of the golden dragon expectantly, hoping that he had an answer. He saw Vaihorn's face set in deep thought, for a long time Vaihorn just sat there, staring into space itself it seems, thinking. Cyniras held his breath as the large golden statue sat above him, not a muscle twitched, nor an eyelid bat as the dragon sat in stone and pursued his answer. Then he abruptly stood and excused himself saying he needed to see someone about an errand. With this he hurried out of the cave and off into the blaring glow of the twilight hour.

Cyniras sighed and curled up on himself. He knew it wasn't going to be nothing now; that much was clear. He had no idea where Vaihorn went but he was absolutely sure it was about him and his stupid dreams, he wondered if telling Vaihorn was such a good idea after all, all he had done so far was worry him.

Vaihorn arrived home much later, a happier and calmer dragon. He had a relaxed and contented look on his face as he entered the cave. One look at Cyniras' sleeping frame made him sigh inwardly and purr softly. "Rest well little one," he muttered under his breath, "tomorrow is a big day for you and you will need your rest." With that, he turned and strolled over to his own padded bedding, careful not to knock Cyniras' customary glass of water over, and curled up for sleep. He gave a final glance over at Cyniras' slumped body and rolled his eyes slowly as he noticed the tent in his blanket, before lying his head down and shutting his eyes for the last time that night.

The next morning Cyniras stretched his body from under the covers any reached out of them to, instinctively, grab his glass of water. However this morning his paw did not touch the cool glass of water, in fact it touched nothing, instead it waved around frantically in the air. With a snuffle and an aggravated hurr he brought himself out of his general adolescent drowsiness that he normally got in the first hour he was awake. He slowly pulled the thick duvet from over his head, groaning as the first rays of sun struck his eyelids. He had to shield his eyes from the blinding light coming from the other side of the room, unsure of the time but guessing he had slept late. But even through squinted eyes he could tell he was not at home anymore.

A dark shape emerged through the sea of brilliant whiteness and stood a few feet away. Eventually Cyniras' eyes adapted to the light and focused on the shape, slowly it became clearer until it turned into the blurry golden dragon he knew and loved. Wiping sleep away from his eyes he saw the dragon clearly, at that moment he wasn't sure if he was happy about it or not.

"Where are we?" Cyniras asked, ducking slightly behind his covers again.

Vaihorn walked over and flopped onto Cyniras' bed, laying over him, keeping him warm and comfortable, playfully snagging at the duvet and bringing Cyniras back to the brightness of the morning sun. "Well Cyniras, after what you told me yesterday I thought it would be appropriate to come here with you."

"So that's why covered, but what about where?" pleaded Cyniras, not quite pleased with his answer and not in the mood for a speech.

Vaihorn sighed again, nuzzling the impatient dragon beneath him. "This place is sort of like a holiday camp. However it is purely free for entry and accommodation. Now this place has a special usage. It is used for males and females alike that are going through what you're going through."

"Oh geez." Cyniras felt it was too early for a speech about this but was unable to pry himself free of the larger dragon's weight. "Come on, that's not fair. Isn't this place a bit sad, for people who can't find mates normally?"

Undisturbed by the younger dragon's efforts, Vaihorn continued, "No Cyni, this is a place where a lot of people meet their mates. It was set up for everyone, not saddos. Now if you are done picking at it, I'll tell you about it. This is because you are now at an age and maturity that your body is telling you it wants a partner and a mate, I didn't take you straight here because it's not uncommon for dragons that are young like you to get these dreams only temporarily. At your age it is a very strong feeling, thus your dreams and distractions throughout your daily routine."

"So what are they doing here?" Cyniras had given in to his fate grumpily and decided that he might as well know if it's going to cure him.

"This is the place where they can come and look for mates and partners, it's like a dating website except you can meet them straight from the start. All you've got to do is get out there and catch 'em. Now seeing as it's your first time, I'm coming 'hunting' with you." He chuckled.

Cyniras wiggled and broke free. "Err...thanks for the offer Vaihorn but I'd rather wander round and take a look-see myself, you know, alone." He chuckled nervously.

"Are you sure? Don't get lost and be back by noon. A growing dragon like you needs a good meal," Vaihorn called after his student as he ran out the door. He chuckled to himself, "Ahh, to be young again."

Cyniras darted his way into the street and down the road. He noticed a few things as he walked. The background colour was no longer a dingy grey or a dark brown; here it was flashes of greens, reds and blues, making the place appear bright and welcoming. The people were different, they seemed less stuck-up and more relaxed, they seemed younger and a lot were about his age and there were a lot of females too, many grabbed his attention. He chuckled softly to himself thinking that this might well turn out to be a permanent residence. He shook his head rapidly and thought hard No Cyni; you're here for the real thing, to find a mate, not to find a one night stand. He bucked up his courage and moved into the stream of southbound crowds.

Eventually the crowds thinned out and slowed like the end of a river's rapids, and he was walking his way past a few shops and market stalls. There were crowds around him on either side of the road, some male groups, some female groups and some were a mixture of both. As he strolled through them, trying not to look too casual or nervous and changing rapidly from one to the other, he noticed that he had started to turn some heads. He wasn't sure if it was because he was walking like he had a desperate need to urinate or because some people were actually checking him out.

Afraid to make a fool of himself so early, he continued, trying to keep relaxed and as if he had a purpose to be in the town centre. He turned to look at a group of females who looked to be around his age, their purple and pink scales shone brightly in the sun. One of the females noticed him looking and she gave a small giggle and a wave to him. He just smiled back nervously, a small squeaky giggle following, making him clench his jaw shut and groan to himself as he turned back to where he was heading.

"Gah" Cyniras jumped back, his heart pounding as he looked at the slightly larger dragon who had silently taken his position next to him.

"Sorry to scare ya." said the green dragon next to him. He wore a big smile on his face and stood a little too close to Cyniras, making their sides rub against each other.

Cyniras waited but the dragon didn't pass. He assumed he wanted something else. "Can I help you?" He asked innocently to the staring dragon next to him.

"That's what I was gonna say, you looked new," he chuckled, "the names Rod."

"Rod?," questioned Cyniras, it seemed a strange name for a dragon, "Your first name is rod?"

"Nope, my second name is Rod"

"So what's your first name?"

"Ivegottabig" he said with a chuckle.

"Ivegottabig Rod?" Cyniras was beyond confused now

"I'm sure you have my friend but let's get to know each other first, eh?" He chuckled almost manically and put his wing over a very wierded out Cyniras and led him down the street. Cyniras looked at the dragon cautiously, he had no idea what was going on and was suspecting some sort of drug or dare to be involved. Still he seemed harmless enough only destroying any cred he had when he entered.

"So seriously, what's your name? asked Cyniras, hoping to learn about his spontaneous friend.

"My name is Kansor, I'm male, gay and dominant." he said with a smile

"Ok." said Cyniras getting a little more info than he expected, "And where are we heading?"

"Well since you are new here I thought you might like to get a bit of a tour and learn the places to pick male or females. By the way which ones are you after?" He asked bearing a large grin as he asked

"Well, I've no problem with males, but I'm looking for a more serious relationship with a female."

"What about a serious relationship with a male?" Kansor asked pushing himself against Cyniras suggestively.

Cyniras reeled back slightly stuttering, hopelessly trying to let Kansor down easily without letting him know he had swung and missed completely with Cyniras. Kansor seemed to take it in his stride and smiled, giggling gently to himself muttering something about Cyni's face under his breath.

"Its ok mate, I'm just messing with you." He chuckled loud enough for Cyniras to hear. Cyniras sighed, he was pretty sure that in the pot luck of the dating camp, he had just won the booby prize.

Despite having the 'camp joker' show him around, Cyniras actually learned a fair amount about the area and where he should and shouldn't meet others. Kansor told Cyniras what places were for whom and where people for serious relationships went and people who wanted a 'quick blowie' went. Also he was told about some of the camp 'piranhas' as Kansor called them. They were the males and females who grabbed the newbies or the outcasts and told them they were looking for something serious and then dropped them straight after sex.

That evening Cyniras and Kansor returned to Cyniras' room. Upon arriving Cyniras heard two male distinct male voices from inside the room. Curious, he turned his head and leaned an ear to the room door, hearing the voices suddenly come closer. He reeled back just in time to be a reasonable distance from the door as it opened. A large orange dragon hugged Vaihorn before turning and leaving the room, offering a small smile to Cyniras and Kansor before trotting off happily.

Cyniras turned and was hit by a familiar smell that he knew too well. He looked at Vaihorn with a slight hint of disgust on his face at the realisation of what Vaihorn had spent his day doing.

"What?" questioned Vaihorn, "It's not my fault, there are a lot of hormones going round in this place and sometimes a dragon just has some urges. Besides, it looks like you got yourself some local tail too." he said pointing at Kansor.

"Huh? Oh no, this is Kansor, he's..." Cyniras began saying defensively before he was interrupted by Kansor.

"Oh yes sir. He's a tough one to get at and he was a fighter right 'til the end but definitely worth the fight I'd say. I lost track of the time but I know that some of the stalls had begun to shut when I was done, though of course this one weren't. Still perky on the walk over here I'd say." He smiled widely as he openly humiliated Cyniras in front of Vaihorn.

Vaihorn chuckled at the new dragon's enthusiasm. "Hehe, that's Cyni alright." He continued chuckling and walked off into the kitchen.

Cyniras sat open-mouthed at what had just happened. He recovered enough to shout after Vaihorn frantically and desperately that they had not slept together, to which he got a bemused and jolly reply of 'Sure you didn't.' from the jolly golden dragon who was starting to cook dinner.

Cyniras hurred angrily to himself as he looked at Kansor, who was currently in fits of giggles on the floor and struggling for breath and rolling around like an infant.

"Why did you say that? What did it achieve?" spat Cyniras his eyes locked onto Kansor

"Well now he thinks we're sleeping together then the embarrassment is gone for when we do sleep together." With that Kansor followed Vaihorn into the kitchen.

Cyniras was left at the door fuming and stuttering curses and denials as the two in the kitchen laughed and chatted at his expense. He sighed and decided that it just wasn't worth it anymore, so he shut the door and followed the smell of roast chicken to the kitchen.

He sighed and sat down at the table. He felt exhausted and totally drained after walking round all day and his ears ached from Kansor's constant babbling. His only constellations were that he could possibly find a mate here and that he had a hot meal that was here too. He smiled softly as his dinner was lowered in front of him and Kansor said his goodbyes, turning and heading for the door.

"I'll see you tomorrow Cyni ok? I'll come and knock for you at about 10." Kansor called over his shoulder.

Cyniras just waved, his mouth already full of hot chicken as he devoured his plate of food hungrily.

"Wait, Kansor. How about you spend the night with us tonight? You know, like a sleepover. I'm sure you two bachelors would have fun. We got no plans this evening except we are going out for drink with one of my old friends so it'd be nice for Cyni to have some company." Vaihorn called after him.

"Sure, I'd love to. I'll go get my things. Back in a jiffy."

Cyniras sat coughing down his mouthful in an attempt to argue but Kansor was already out of sight before he could. He groaned again and looked at Vaihorn pleadingly.

"Don't even try that look with me mister. He seems to be a nice kid so give him a chance. And as for tonight we are going to see an old friend of mine, the one you saw earlier, and his mentor. Its for a drink and for us two to catch up." Vaihorn explained.

"Then why do I have to come?" whined Cyniras.

"Because I want you to meet him and his mentor. She's a very lovely young dragoness and she too has been looking for someone in her life, like you." Cyniras opened his mouth to speak but he was quickly interrupted by Vaihorn again, "Now you have 2 hours before we leave so I suggest you have a bath, have a nap and I'll wake you up 20 minutes before we leave." With this said he scooted Cyniras out of his chair and directed him to the bathroom as though he were a tired hatchling all over again.

After a nice hot shower he collapsed onto his bed and drifted slowly out of the conscious world and into his dream filled state of mind. He let his muscles relax and his body slump as the cool soft bed moulded around his shape and the gentle breeze coming in the window tickled around his scales. His eyes crept open slowly to look out his bedroom window one last time, seeing the golden pulse as the last drops of sunshine crept over the horizon and by the time that the last ray faded, the air was tinted by the soft hurrs of a sleeping dragon.
