If a moment can be cherished, it can exist for more than just a moment. If eyes are willing to see, they can see beyond the limits of reality. For a heart yearning for a moment long gone but open to the possibilities of the future, anything is possible, and for Miguel, this is the night that will change his future, amend the past, and allow the present to stretch out well beyond one night beneath the fireflies and the moonlight.

Fireflies and Moonlight

There was little doubt that at times the world seemed dark and drab, dreary, cold and unwelcoming... But in the rich vastness of eternity, stretching out between possibility and opportunity, there was always a bit of light lingering in the corner of one's eyes, illuminating just what could be. It was in that euphoric haze that anything became possible, and that one summer evening could stretch out for the rest of a lifetime. It was an idea that Miguel wasn't completely aware of, at least not consciously, but there was no denying that the night, that this very night, felt different to the ones he'd experienced before.

Miguel moved down the street, not fully aware of the changes unfolding around him. It had been a hard week - a hard week after a hard month. It seemed that work kept stretching out ahead of him, impossible goals piling up while it felt like he was stuck in place. He'd caught himself more than once walking with his head down, seeing the road and the gutter and the past, trying not to get swept away by the present.

It was a mood shared by many, though Miguel was a bit young to be lost in such a morass. The twenty four year old moved down the street with his head tilted down, his raven locks hiding the rich hues of his terracotta skin tone. His caramel brown eyes were contemplative, though some of that contemplation came from the lo-fi music he was streaming through his stereo headphones.

While Miguel usually tried to keep a low profile, wearing black jeans and muted grey shirts, the one thing he couldn't part with was his denim jacket - a jacket that had a legacy stretching back well before he'd owned it. It was a rich honey color, a yellow as rich as the tuscan sun. It was well worn, battered, frayed on the corner of the pockets and missing a button, but it was tough and heavy. To Miguel it felt like a piece of armor keeping him safe from the world. It was a gift, a memory, a memento, and on a summer day Miguel could swear it still smelled like... him.

Just the thought alone brought a smile to Miguel's face and reminded him to lift his head, to look up, to look around... and to see the magic all around him. It was like a moment set aside from time, existing in its own universe, feeling so far away from the troubles and pains of the world. The street lights cast an amber haze, complimented by constellations of fireflies that hung lazily in the air just above the street. Even the city skyline sparkled like the gemstones of the earth in hues distinct and varied - all of it backlit by the insistent gleam of the very full, very large moon hanging near the horizon, stretching from one side of the street to the other.

For just a moment Miguel could smell those forgotten summer days, those divine days, the days he longed for and dreamed of and wanted to escape back to. Even if he couldn't, even if it was just a memory, Miguel smiled. He wanted to cuddle up with the memory and pull it around him just like the coat he held on to. Sometimes, just the memory was enough.

Miguel smiled again, holding onto it all. It was amazing how just one moment of appreciation could recharge the soul. His work week was behind him, the weekend was ahead. He had nowhere in particular to be, nowhere that he was expected, no rush. He walked beneath the fireflies in the company of the moon, washed over with color and light. From the distance, Miguel could hear the familiar rattling and rumbling along the elevated rail line. Somewhere out there, the train navigated its way through the timeless night like a silver ribbon weaving in and out of the city.

The sound grew a bit louder, but Miguel knew he still had time - albeit not as much as he had first thought. It was the only fact that spoiled the timeless feeling he'd been trying to cultivate. The young man made his way over to the stairs that climbed up from street level, hugging the brick wall of the old barbershop, rising up to a platform that ran along the second story. The brick wall had been covered with decades of graffiti, the competing signatures and symbols eventually evolving into a mural that showed the passage of time from the idyllic past through a time of conflict before coming together for an optimistic future.

Miguel looked at the mural with appreciation. His favorite part had to be the animals running along between the letters and buildings. The slow tunes leaking from his headphones couldn't mask the approach of the train, its silver hull glowing beneath the ethereal light of the full moon above. The headlights swept out across the buildings as it followed the curve in the track, slowing as it came toward the station. The engine rumbled well past the stop, taking several more cars with it. Some had passengers, most were empty. It was common for the train to take on passengers more towards the front, but the engineer must have miscalculated as it slowed because it was the final car that crept to a stop in front of the young man.

The doors slid apart, punctuated by a chime. A card reader lit up with a pulsing green light, prompting Miguel to pull out his pass. He stepped onto the train and swiped his pass through the slot, eliciting another chime. The doors slid shut a mere moment before the train lurched forward, forcing Miguel to grab onto one of the yellow metal supports to keep himself upright as the inertia of the whole vehicle built.

The moonlight from outside faded for a moment as the train passed beneath the freeway overpass, but as it emerged on the other side, Miguel had a view that many would kill for. Behind him was a vast city full of souls laying down for a night's sleep while others toiled away burning the midnight oil. Before him was a vast bay, speckled with boats bobbing on the water. The bridge glittered with lights along the length as it stretched out over to the other side where the city's biggest buildings stretched upwards without compare.

As beautiful as it was, Miguel had a long day and a long walk. He looked around for a place to sit, taking in the sky blue walls of the train and the grey seats. It was always so hard to choose, to make a decision on what seat would give him the best view, but before he could make his decision, Miguel realized he wasn't alone. One solitary passenger sat with his back to the window facing the full moon, hunched over.

He seemed to be an athletic type for the most part... Fit, broad shouldered, tall. His shoes were a bit big, his black cargo shorts hung down past his knees and a red and black street style bomber jacket over a crimson jersey, the black hood pulled up over his head. He dressed sharp, his style fine for the big city across the bridge. Miguel wouldn't have expected anything less from the other side of the tracks, but here? Now? The kid had traveled a bit far from home, and something else... something else was just a bit off, though it took Miguel a moment to realize.

With each breath, the hunched figure's body seemed to swell larger, rising up higher and pushing out wider, but each exhalation only shrank down a fraction. The clothes pulled outward in every direction, being tugged and manipulated by the cosmic push and pull acting on the young man. It was almost hypnotic to look at, watching the jersey rise up to reveal a forest of hair peeking out from the waistband of his shorts, to see his wrists creeping out from his sleeves, and then a glimpse of the unthinkable - amber eyes. For a second, Miguel didn't realize what he had seen, but a quick gnashing of sharp teeth came before the figure spoke.

"You should try one of the other cars, this one isn't safe." The young man said. His voice was gruff at the edges, but tender and sensitive. It was also very, very familiar. Miguel was almost taken aback. He looked at the hunched figure decked out in the street style clothes, his heart fluttering almost as much as the train was on the tracks. It couldn't be... Not after that many years, not after all that time with no word, no contact. It couldn't, but it had to be. Miguel reached up without thinking, a hand drifting over the battered yellow denim of the jacket that had been so fashionable so many years before, sitting on shoulders of someone Miguel had cared so much about.

"Corbin..." Miguel said, though his words came out more as a question than a statement. The answer came in the form of another glimpse of those unearthly amber eyes, but they were framed by familiar cheekbones speckled with freckles, a pointy chin tipped with some soft fuzz, the glint of two metal rings on either side of his lower lip. There was so much that was different, and yet so much that was the same.

"Miguel..." Corbin whispered back. Miguel had imagined hearing Corbin saying his name for so long, but he could never have anticipated the next words. Corbin lowered his head, obscuring his face from sight, "You can't stay here, it isn't safe." he said softly. Miguel was dumbfounded. After all those years, after fate drew them together, he wasn't just going to leave. He moved over to sit down next to Corbin, looking at his friend.

"What do you mean, it's not safe? What's happening? What's going on? If something's the matter, I want to help, I-" Miguel was cut off as Corbin raised his head, growling a little. The tiny tips of two fangs poked out from his upper lip before he adjusted his mouth. He looked wild, his new sideburns flared out, his ears a bit pointed. Miguel could have sworn the fuzz on his chin was longer than it had been moments ago. Corbin still struggled for breath, heaving in and out.

"You're the last person on Earth I want here right now." Corbin said. Miguel's face tightened in that, feeling his heart wrench up and his brain sting. His eyebrows had furrowed so tight that they felt like a lead weight on the bridge of Miguel's nose, but what should have been pain turned into a strange spike of rage that Miguel hadn't even realized he'd been harboring.

"And you were the last person I expected to ever see again because you just... left! You left without saying goodbye. You left without saying anything to anybody! All I had to remember you with was this coat!" Miguel shouted. Corbin was taken aback, but despite his condition, he actually started to smile a bit.

"You got some claws on you Miguel... I'm glad." He said, looking his long lost friend over, "And the coat looks good on you. You fill it out well." Corbin said. Miguel wanted to shout again, but he wasn't sure what he would have shouted other than thanking Corbin for the compliment. It almost felt like he was getting emotional whiplash.

"Where the fuck did you go?" Miguel asked, though he shocked himself a bit with his language. He'd never been that forceful with anyone before, let alone someone he cared about that much. Corbin flexed his fingers a bit as another wave of pain washed over them. He looked up at Miguel a bit sheepishly, then back down at the floor of the train, then back up. A moment passed in silence, then another. The train passed beneath another raised highway, the light of the night fading away so only the dull yellow lights of the train car lit them up. When they finally emerged, the train started its long slow curve around the inner edge of the bay, heading across the lowlands.

"I ran away... I left for a while, I got as far as I could. Nowhere was far enough. Some people found me, took me in, brought me to the city, but... It fell apart. Everywhere I go, someone gets hurt." Corbin said gently. Miguel shook his head.

"Everywhere you leave, someone gets hurt." he corrected. Corbin looked back up at Miguel, looking at his face, then at the knot in his eyebrows. Corbin reached up, using the soft part of his thumb to massage Miguel's forehead. Miguel snorted and pulled back, but it was enough to make him stop scrunching up his face so much.

"I guess I did a number on you, huh?" Corbin asked. Miguel blushed a little, taking a moment before he looked back into Corbin's eyes. Even though they had changed color, they were so familiar, so warm, so inviting, just like that summer night. Miguel's stomach filled with butterflies just thinking about it.

"That was my first kiss, you know..." Miguel said. Corbin grinned at that and nodded.

"I hoped it was." he said. Miguel shifted a little, realizing that he was starting to get hard just remembering it. He blushed even more furiously.

"Did you know? When you kissed me? That you were going to run away?" Miguel asked. Corbin considered for a moment before shaking his head.

"Not when we started. It felt right, it felt... perfect, actually." Corbin whispered.

"The fireflies were there, too." Miguel added. Corbin smiled a bit at that, though he closed his eyes, his forehead tightening as another wave hit him. He leaned forward, rocking back and forth, breathing in and out. Miguel reached out, resting a hand on Corbin's back, though he was startled by just how much body heat was radiating off of his friend.

"You have to go, I... I can't... I can't... I can't..." Corbin muttered, groaning.

"Something's wrong, I want to help you! I can't leave you, I can't lose you, not again!" Miguel said, tears forming at the corner of his eyes, "I didn't even understand what I was feeling at first, and by the time I figured it out, you were gone and there was this hole in my life!"

"I didn't mean to hurt you, but a hole in your life is better than losing it! This world needs people like you, I couldn't risk doing something worse than just hurting you." Corbin growled, then gasped. His bomber jacket rippled as his back popped and snapped, the vertebrae pushing out along his spine as they stretched taller and wider, bumps forming. His fingernails dug into his palms as he clenched his fists tight, and even Corbin's ears began to tingle and throb as they pushed out into points.

"I loved you... I still love you!" Miguel said, shocking himself and Corbin at the same time. Corbin looked up at that in surprise, though his face was no longer quite human. The bridge of his nose had flattened a little, his nostrils shifting. His brow bone was pushing out more and the hair on his cheeks had gotten even wilder. Miguel was taken aback, but he finally started to realize what was going on, the piece of the puzzle that had been missing all this time.

Corbin looked back at his childhood friend, thinking to those lazy summers. They'd been inseparable, spending every moment together from sunrise almost to the next sunrise, running out in the fields, the forest, the woods. They went on road trips to town, they got up to trouble one day and then just hung out the next day watching cartoons and playing games. Corbin looked back to the yellow coat that Miguel was wearing, the coat he'd had all through high school.

"I love you too..." Corbin said, "That's why I ran." he said softly. Miguel looked at Corbin, into his amber eyes, into his soul. He saw the pain and the hurt and the loneliness, but he also saw his friend. He reached out, his finger brushing the fuzz on the tip of Corbin's chin before he leaned over and kissed his friend. For the first time in six years, their lips met... and it was as if no time had passed at all.

The moment was magical, feeling as if it was suspended in time as everything around them slowed down to a stop. Miguel could smell the tall summer grasses, feel the wind blowing through his hair, even Corbin's hot hand on his cold stomach. Miguel melted into the embrace, losing himself completely and wholly, unaware that Corbin was losing himself in just the same way.

Strife, struggle, pain, loneliness, confusion - all of it was numbed and taken away, replaced by this one reminder of happier times, of simpler times, of times where he'd been cared for and cared about, when he'd been... loved. Corbin's fear shrank back and in a shock, so did the pain of his changes. The thing he'd been fighting against, the thing he'd been holding back, it felt so different, almost euphoric, almost as if he was... embracing it.

As the two young men kissed, surrounded by the rattling confines of the train car, neither paid reality any mind. Their lips brushed, then pressed, then opened. Corbin's tongue teased at Miguel's, then Miguel's played back. Their kiss deepened and intensified, Miguel tilting his head to get better access. Corbin's hand reached up to push Miguel's headphones from his head, to tangle in his hair, to get a good grip, but as he did, he realized that his fingernails had stretched out longer and thicker, darkening to black, honing into dangerous claws. He snatched his hand back, his face tightening in stress as he broke the kiss, panting.

Miguel pulled back in surprise, though as he looked at his childhood friend, he could see what he was trying to resist, what he was trying to suppress; His sideburns were wild, his ears pointed and covered with fur. His brow bone had pushed out, his nose had changed, and his eyes glowed like the embers of a well tended fire. With each breath, he was continuing to shift, to change, to transform. He was a werewolf, and yet Miguel... was not afraid.

"I told you that you should have gone, it isn't safe." Corbin growled, betraying his mouth full of fangs. Miguel looked at Corbin, at his piercings, at his lycan features, at his mouth, then his eyes. He reached out with one hand to pet Corbin's fuzzy cheek.

"And I should have told you that you didn't have to go... That you could have been safe back home, with me." Miguel said. Corbin looked up at that in surprise.

"But what if I'd hurt you? What if I'd... bitten you?" Corbin asked. Miguel smiled and scooted closer until they were hip to hip.

"What guy doesn't fall in love with the bad boy? You were always one of a kind, and I would have been lucky to have you. But you taught me something, something priceless." Miguel explained. Corbin hung on his every word, as if he wasn't sure what his friend was going to say. A thick tail started to push out behind him, snaking its way down the row of seats, wagging and slapping the plastic furniture as it filled in.

"What did I teach you?" Corbin asked softly. Miguel grinned at that.

"To experience each moment as its own, disconnected from the rest. To appreciate life and not take anything for granted. To see the special wonder in every second, in every day, and in every friend." Miguel whispered, "To not let any opportunity pass you by." he whispered.

"It hasn't been easy, none of it." Corbin murmured, "I regret so much."

"I know, but this gives us a chance... A chance where we have one less thing to regret. Don't run from me, don't push me away." Miguel said. Corbin looked at his friend, surprised by his strength. He'd been so shy and introverted before, but sitting on the train with that yellow coat, looking ready to take on anything, ready to turn his back on his old life? He was someone new - no, not new, someone better...

Corbin leaned out this time to initiate the kiss, grabbing onto Miguel's head with both hands. Miguel moaned happily at that, their tongues wrestling, probing each other's mouth, finding a rhythmical dance to intertwine with. Corbin relaxed more, unable to stop himself. His spine popped as it stretched and grew wider, his ribs pushing out from one another. Inch after inch stacked up onto his spine, forcing him to lean down a little to kiss, but nothing was going to stop them this time.

Miguel grabbed one of Corbin's changing paws, bringing it up under the hem of his shirt. Miguel shivered, finding even Corbin's paw pads to be cold, but Corbin growled happily, feeling how warm Miguel was, just like always. He reached out and grabbed one of Miguel's hands, guiding it across his knee, then up his thigh before drawing it over to his crotch. Miguel murmured, feeling the thick, hard tent of warm flesh trapped there.

"Seems like all that blood is going somewhere after all." Miguel whispered. Corbin chuckled gently, though he groaned as his shoes started to strain and stretch. His feet were growing too fast and the leather and plastic on the shoe wasn't enough to capture it. Soft pop sounds came as black claws emerged from the shoe, curving out longer, filling into talons as they tapped against the floor plating.

The stitches unraveled next, splitting out as the soles popped loose and the tops shredded. Corbin's huge werewolf feet emerged, unbridled and unrestrained. This time was so different, at least for Corbin. He wasn't hurting or straining. It felt good, almost like a drug, and he knew the reason. Miguel made him feel safe, made him feel complete. The werewolf growled, swinging his leg over to straddle Miguel, coming down across his lap until they were chest to chest.

Miguel gasped, realizing he had a few hundred pounds of transforming beast on him. Corbin began to grind and rub and hump, pressing down. Miguel threw his head back and moaned, feeling his crush's raging erection against his own. Corbin leaned down, a long rough tongue slathering out to lick up Miguel's neck before he placed a soft, wet kiss on his human ear. Miguel shivered at that, looking back at Corbin.

"Bite me..." he whispered. Corbin's amber eyes went wide.

"What?!" He asked in shock. Miguel panted and moaned, reaching out to furiously try to unbutton Corbin's pants, pulling the zipper down, tugging at the underwear. He was rewarded with twelve inches of pulsating hot, rock hard, throbbing canine cock. It oozed out a thick musky pre that was so sticky that webs of it clung to Miguel's hand, stretching out as he pulled it back.

"Bite me, make me like you. Then we never have to be apart again. It can be just you and me beneath the fireflies and moonlight." Miguel begged. Corbin hesitated at that, but Miguel just lifted his hand, licking at the pre that stuck to his thumb. As he slurped at the thick, sticky, salty and spicy juice, Corbin shivered with anticipation at just what his friend could do. He was so turned on, but he was so touched at the same time. His yellow eyes glimmered as a faint tear appeared in the corner of one of them.

"I am such an idiot. We could have been together... all this time." he murmured. Miguel smiled softly and reached up to scratch Corbin's chin.

"Don't be an idiot now. We still can be, all the time stretching out in front of us. Be with me." Miguel whispered. He was amazed at his own strength and insistence. It felt so different from how he normally was, but that was just it. This was how he wanted to be. He wanted to be with Corbin, he wanted to embrace what life had to offer. Nothing could hold him back. Corbin sat on his friend's lap, feeling the cool air against his cock. He looked at Miguel, at how he'd already embraced him by wearing his old coat. It was like he was a sheep in wolf's clothing, but it wouldn't take much to welcome him to the pack.

Love, lust, respect, curiosity and decision all bubbled and coalesced together before Corbin came down in an instant, his mouth splayed wide, his fangs piercing into Miguel's neck. Miguel's back arched as he groaned, feeling pain and pleasure all at once. Corbin held himself there, latched onto Miguel. His clawed hand reached down, slicing the button off of Miguel's pants, reaching in to cut down the front of his underwear. The material sprung apart, unfurling across his erect member.

Corbin maneuvered himself carefully, bringing his hot, hard, wet shaft along Miguel's, sliding up and down. It was slow at first, but it built speed, matching first with Miguel's heartbeat, then Corbin's. As he began to thrust and grind, he shuddered, unleashing a lot more pre. It came out in liquid sheets, pouring down across Miguel's lap. It soaked his bush and coated his balls, sticking to his stomach, making his manhood glisten and shine, sticking to Corbin's.

Ever so slowly, the werewolf pulled his head back, retracting his fangs from their fleshy destination. Tiny beads of blood welled up as they emerged, but ever so slowly the skin around the wound started to close up. It inched together little by little, fusing and healing until there weren't even marks left. That didn't stop Corbin from trying to help, his rough tongue lapping at where the wound had been.

Miguel moaned harder, the pain disappearing entirely from his neck. He humped up against Corbin with desperation, but his partner felt so much bigger, fuller, longer, hotter... but the difference didn't matter. All that did was that they were together again after all that time, after so long. He kissed Corbin frantically, even as he felt his partner's mouth filling out, growing larger, swelling forward. His hand slipped up into Corbin's shirt, sliding up higher and higher until he found one of his partner's nipple rings and gave it a tug.

The pleasure shot through Corbin unexpectedly, setting off more triggers in his brain. Miguel wasn't just going to be his lover or boyfriend. He was going to be his mate, his equal, his everything. He brought his clawed hand down and tore down what remained of the crotch of Miguel's pants, clearing a path. The werewolf grinned and growled, making his next move to guide Miguel's hips upward, presenting his meaty ass cheeks forward, the two half globes obscuring the most important destination of all.

WIth purpose and pride, Corbin brought his huge meat down, leaving a trail from Miguel's cock, across his balls, down the strip of flesh beneath, all the way to that ring... and then he went for it. Miguel inhaled sharply as he felt himself spread, but Corbin's pre had made such a good lube that he made it further than Miguel thought possible, and then more than he could have even imagined.

Four inches, six, then ten. Corbin pistoned in and out of Miguel's hole, sliding back and forth with ease and power. Miguel's eyes rolled into the back of his head as he felt the power of his lover, but some part of him felt a new instinctive response. Miguel brought one leg up along Corbin's, his foot brushing past the werewolf's tail before he bent the leg and caught it in a crook around Corbin's waist.

Gaining leverage like that, Miguel couldn't help but raise his left leg as well, bringing it up before sliding it in. The two legs locked over Corbin's tail, ensuring the two could not part even if they wanted to. Corbin shuddered, using the new angle to increase the friction and pound into his partner. He sped up, slamming down, pounding in eleven inches, then twelve, the base of his cock slapping against Miguel's cheeks.

Moonlight shone in through the windows, washing over them both as the train continued along the elevated rail. Flat suburban buildings stretched out for miles one direction before ending where vast fields continued on to the horizon. Behind them, the bay sparkled beneath the moon, catching reflections of all the skyscrapers that reached up, trying to pierce the heavens. They were in the middle of a vast city and yet completely alone with one another.

Corbin had no idea how good it felt to give in, to embrace his other side. It had been his dark secret, his dark side, something to hold back, but now? It felt like it was early spring and he was blossoming for the first time. Fur sprouted from his chest, connecting down his stomach to his bush. Patches spread out from his elbows, spiraling up his arms. Bones popped, ligaments stretched, cartilage formed. Every part of him was growing.

With each heartbeat, Corbin filled out his clothes more and more. His shirt rode way too high as more midriff showed. His jersey began to stretch and tear, and his jacket just opened up wider to reveal the beast within. Even his face was contorting, pushing out forward, his lower jaw and nose reshaping as they took on more animalistic qualities... but he wasn't the only one changing, not anymore. Corbin could smell it. Miguel's scent was changing.

Being fucked by a werewolf was one thing, but being fucked by his long lost childhood crush was another. All the soul searching he'd done, all the time along, the doom and gloom and the forced optimism, all of it seemed so trivial now. They'd left off with a kiss, they'd resumed with a kiss. Life was as it was supposed to be, and Corbin felt so... good. Miguel gritted his teeth as he was fucked, only to find that his teeth were getting sharper in his mouth rather than filing down.

His fingers slid up and down Corbin's furry torso, Miguel's own fingers aching and throbbing as they stretched longer, then his nails darkened and took deeper root. The flesh grew over part of the nail bed to anchor it more as the nails surged out into claws. They thickened and sharpened to fierce and deadly points, but Miguel didn't want to stop or slow.

Being fucked like that in the train seat, his legs around Corbin's waist, Miguel's tailbone was really starting to ache and throb. At first he thought it was from the impact, the gravity and weight on the bone... but as the bone moved itself to get more comfortable, he realized just how wrong he was and how right nature could be. The bone wriggled free of the human's pelvis, making room as another bone segment formed, then another, then another. His flesh wriggled outward, flexing as new muscles and fibers wrapped around the length before a soft downy coating of black fuzz emerged from the flesh.

Miguel's feet were locked with one another, but his shoes were feeling painfully tight. His soles stretched longer, his toes grew thicker. Even his heel was changing. The shoes warped and manipulated, wriggling as the contents inside moved. One toppled to the floor of the train car as claws pushed through the sock beneath, the new lycan paw tearing its way loose. The other shoe wasn't so fortunate as it stretched, strained, groaned and then popped. The materials split out as a new paw emerged, dangling in the air, thickening legs wrapped around the waist of his lover.

Corbin grunted and snarled as his face continued to push out, taking on several inches as it formed into its final muzzle. He was a werewolf, a beast wearing only the last vestiges of his humanity. His pants were torn and ill fitting, his jersey was scraps on the seat of the train car. Only his red and black bomber jacket held on, hugging the expanded furry shoulders of the werewolf like a twisted homage to red riding hood.

Miguel held on for dear life as the brown in his eyes burned away to hot amber. He bore his fangs, he listened to the sounds of Corbin's heartbeat and breath as his ears took on points first and then enhanced hearing. He writhed and growled before he took one arm, braced it on the seat behind him and then pushed.

Caught off guard, Corbin stumbled back, regaining his balance just as his back pressed to one of the yellow metal support beams. Miguel had changed the game, pushing off so the only thing that held him upright was Corbin's cock, his own legs, and one arm. Miguel started to bounce up and down, grinding on Corbin, trying to get every inch he could. Corbin thrust up and gravity pulled him back down, ensuring a good fit.

The two went at it for what felt like an eternity, making lewd and sloppy sounds. Miguel was so turned on, he couldn't help himself, bringing one clawed hand down to work his own meat - only to discover it wasn't quite the same anymore. It had stretched longer, bloated wider. As he wrapped his fingers around it and worked his fist up and down, he could feel it changing more with each stroke. The mushroom shaped head pushed out to a point that started oozing pre. His balls sagged lower, filling fuller as black fur sprouted across the flesh.

Corbin gnashed his fangs, loving it. Miguel was so into it, he was embracing it all. Corbin felt guilty for leaving him, but their reunion was so sweet. He bounced Miguel higher and higher, letting him impale himself on that doggy dick, growling and howling. He felt Miguel getting heavier, too... Heavier, taller, thicker. Miguel's baby fat melted away as his muscles defined themselves. His pectorals grew outward, his biceps thickened.

The werewolves were so caught up in their lovemaking, they had no idea how much they were tainting the car itself. The humid air clung to the windows. Their musky scent soaked into the seats. Their pre dribbled down to the ground and filled the grooves in the rubberized traction mat. They were leaving their mark for years to come. This was their wolf den, their city, their eternity. They were mates and nothing would be able to separate them.

Miguel's moans became more desperate as his ears popped, then went numb. He couldn't hear anything for a few moments until his hearing finally returned - albeit from a different spot. His pointed, furry wolf ears had migrated to the top of his skull. His mouth felt overcrowded and ready to burst, but just when he thought he could take no more, his teeth softened, his jaw throbbed, and it MADE more room. The bone pushed forward, giving him an underbite for a moment until the rest of his face pushed out to match.

As his mouth elongated, his nose stretched and flattened. The harsh angle of the bone blunted and widened. His nostrils upturned, the flesh darkening and softening as it grew moist. Miguel's brow bone pushed out around his eyes, protecting them from danger even as fur swept up across his throat, his cheeks, ringing his eyes and spanning his forehead. No inch was safe, and soon it was all wolf.

Even Miguel's ass was growing, the cheeks getting meatier and fuller. With his lengthening tail, the cheeks were pushed apart, leaving his swollen lycan pucker there for Corbin to appreciate. Miguel's pants strained and struggled before giving up their lot in the fight. Stitches split out down his legs, powerful limbs coated in black fur emerging. Even his undershirt tore loose, revealing a magnificent pelt of soft black fur.

The thrashing was wild, their bodies moving with power and precision. Miguel's moans became more desperate as his muzzle settled into its final shape. They were both over seven feet tall, over three hundred pounds of muscle and fur. Corbin had been able to hone his skills, finding the spots that made Miguel call out the loudest, targeting those. Miguel tried to hold on, to make it last, but the pleasure of finding his lost love, of his whole body changing, and getting pounded by a pro was all too much.

"Corbin!" Miguel moaned through fangs, throwing his head back before he opened his muzzle wide and let out a resounding wolf howl that filled the train car and echoed back. As he howled, his huge furry balls tugged up and his cock spasmed, erupting with a few jets of pearly human cum before a much thicker, more potent, and much more prevalent spray of wolf cum launched out, soaking down Corbin's fur covered stomach with rope after rope.

Corbin was delighted that he'd made his partner cum, but what he hadn't expected was just how strong Miguel's ass was to milk his own shaft. The muscles rippled and fluttered before working from tip to base, moving almost like an unseen hand. Corbin's well timed thrusts became random, offset, wild and then ultimately instinctive as his own orgasm swept over him. Synapses fired in rapid succession as the golden light of the fruits of his labor came to bare.

The two stood there, held aloft by sheer will power as they came and came, holding each other, bound together in such a carnal act. Moments passed, then minutes before finally their loads started to ebb and eventually cease. They were left there soaked in sweat and musk, panting for breath, their brains struggling to work again. When Corbin finally opened his eyes, he saw Miguel's looking back... They were exactly the same eyes he'd always known, except they were golden now... But the same flecks, the same rings, the same window to the soul he'd so enjoyed was right there with him.

"I love you... I love you so much, and I always have." Corbin whispered. Miguel smiled warmly at that, reaching to brush a tuft of Corbin's hair back from his face.

"I love you too... Just promise me you'll never leave me again." Miguel whispered. Corbin bowed his head.

"I promise you that I will never leave you again, and we'll always be together. Our love will last an eternity, locked in this moment beneath the moonlight." Corbin replied. Miguel smiled at that and turned his head, giving a soft kiss to Corbin's muzzle, not entirely sure yet how to give him a proper kiss that way. He chuckled gently and pulled back, heaving a sigh of relief.

Corbin had to shift his center of gravity as the inertia of the train changed, the entire vehicle starting to slow. Miguel leaned over to look ahead of them and saw the reason why... Up ahead was the main train station for the lowlands. It stretched up a story and a half from the surrounding area almost like a palace, cradling the train track and giving passengers ample access to all of the cars at once.

"What are we going to do?" Miguel asked, feeling a bit of fear. Even with it being later in the evening, there had to be dozens of people... Corbin grinned, crouching down to snatch up Miguel's headphones that had long since toppled to the floor.

"We do like we did when we knocked over that bee hive... We run like hell." Corbin said. Miguel grinned at that and nodded, grabbing onto Corbin's shoulders. With reluctance, he dismounted from his partner and dropped down onto his own two paws, getting used to the bend and flex of his longer, stronger limbs. They both had their pants, or at least what was left of them. The rest could be left behind as a mystery for some poor soul that had to clean up after them. That didn't matter, all that did was that they were finally together.

Miguel reached out, resting a clawed hand on the small of Corbin's back, just feeling relieved that they'd found each other, that they'd rekindled their connection, that they'd found some peace after all the time they'd been apart. Miguel could feel Corbin's heartbeat, his breathing. He could feel the tense and twitch of his muscles, knowing that their time was close. The train was still slowing down, the station getting closer.

It was strange how one transformation brought so much change with it. Miguel had never been the decisive type, but now? Now he knew... It was almost time. His muscles flexed, his back hunched down. The train slowed more and more and the vast station was sliding into view. Blue light spilled down the vast steps and ramps, the moon coloring everything in its cool hue. Both Miguel and Corbin had to shift their weight to their right paws as the train lurched to a stop. Their ears perked as a chime sounded and the doors slid open, the fresh air wafting in as their musky scent drifted out.

The passengers didn't know what happened at first, seeing only two large blurs bolt out of the train car. There was confusion and chaos, a shout as someone was startled. The humans were so slow in putting it together, but Miguel was astonished at how fast his own senses, his own synapses, even how fast his own body was responding. Corbin bounded down the steps, skipping several at a time. He redirected his body, deflecting himself around those heading toward the trains... but as fast as they were, it wasn't as if they were invisible.

"Werewolf!" someone shouted, then another shriek, a scream. Corbin hunched down lower, not to keep a lower profile, but because the words alone wore him down. Miguel realized this was what he had run from. He'd fled because his secret was going to be discovered. He fled so that his childhood memories weren't destroyed with that kind of fear. The mystery had been less painful than a definitive answer. Miguel felt sad for Corbin and he felt anger towards the humans, but none of that mattered now. They were almost free.

Corbin's feet landed on the cement sidewalk at the base of the great stairs only a moment ahead of Miguel. He pushed off and nearly launched himself through the air with his momentum, heading off to the left. Miguel followed suit, feeling the wind in his fur, his tail flicking behind him. Everything about it felt electrified.

He looked at the humans they darted past, even the cars. It was strange to be so tall, so big. They were giants in a world that was so familiar and alien at the same time, but they were together. Nothing could change that now. Miguel pushed himself, straining to catch up to Corbin, running a hair's breadth behind him. The two were in sync, living that moment to the fullest they could. They moved with grace and power, feeling the sublime perfection of their new bodies emerging.

Every sight, every sound, every fiber of their beings was built for this - for running, for hunting, for fleeing. They were something more and it was enthralling. As much as Miguel wanted to get lost in it, though, he couldn't help but watch Corbin. He couldn't take his eyes off his friend and his body, all the supple curves and the powerful muscles. Corbin led them through the alleys and back streets, moving up rock walls, crossing over tiled roofs before dropping down on the other side.

Miguel followed after, keeping as close as he could. At first he wasn't sure where Corbin as going, considering that he might have had some wolf den somewhere, but as they passed between house after house, heading further and further away from the center of the town, Miguel started to piece it together: Corbin wasn't going to any den, he was leaving the city, he was going home... home to where they had met, home to where they had grown up. Beyond the confines of the big city with its illusion of opportunity, they were going back to where they had started... and where they could start again. This time they would start together.

Miguel had held on to the night with every fiber of his being, trying to make one moment last a hundred... and to a degree, it had worked. He and Corbin had fled the city, making it through the lowlands, past the last houses, through the fields and up a hill just as the oversized moon began sinking down behind the horizon. As the blue light faded from the full moon, a soft ethereal light was building ahead of the coming sun. The sky filled with colors no normal waking human would see, colors that existed only in the extreme between night and day, in the hours too rare and too foreign for most to ever be awake for... but to Miguel, it was a living painting that used the heavens as its canvas.

The sky shifted from blue to violet, orange, then brown... and then, of all colors, green. It was short lived, lingering only moments before the more common shades of salmon and ruby began to climb higher, heralding the coming day. Miguel heard the crunching and popping echoing from inside Corbin's flesh as his body finished contracting and reshaping, pulling back into its human guise. Apparently, having fought the change back, it took longer to release its hold. Miguel reached over, sliding his arm around Corbin's back, helping him up the slope.

When the two had nearly made it to the top, Corbin fell forward onto his knees, then twisted as he flopped back, landing in a heap. He panted, his hair caked with sweat, a grin on his face as he looked up at the fading stars, then the horizon, then the city before them. Miguel sat down next to him with a bit more grace, scooting together until they were hip to hip. The two said nothing, but they listened to everything around them.

The crickets chirped steadily in a pulsating symphony that was the heartbeat of nature. The fireflies fluttered in the air, glowing brightly like earthbound stars. The bushes shifted as racoons returned home after their adventures in the cities, and a tree branch fluttered as an owl looked out over its domain. As impressive as the nature was, Miguel couldn't help but look out over the vast city that he'd called home for these last few years...

From a distance, it really seemed to put things in perspective. The skyscrapers on the far side of the bay seemed so... limited. Despite being vast, the thousands of houses in the lowlands merged together to form a shale sea bordering the bay. Lights glimmered from the industrious, far more slumbered in the pale dawn light... and amid it all, the elevated trains weaved their way from one destination to the next, the endless current of a metal river carrying passengers to their destinations.

Miguel turned and looked over at Corbin, watching him look out over the city, or perhaps even his own memories. He also watched Corbin start to shiver a bit as the night air got to him. Miguel murmured softly before he pulled his yellow denim jacket from his shoulders and leaned over, draping it over Corbin. Corbin turned, looking surprised, then worried, then relieved. He gave his friend a meek smile.

"I'll just borrow it, I promise I'll give it back. You look good in it." Corbin said. Miguel grinned and nodded.

"Good, cause it was just to loan. No way in hell am I giving you that. I earned it." Miguel grinned. Corbin chuckled and squeezed Miguel closer, laying his head on his friend's shoulder. Miguel's mind stirred with questions, so many that he couldn't even count them all, but somehow, in that moment, he didn't want to ask them. He just wanted to tap the breaks, to hold Corbin, to live in that moment forever.

The crickets continued to chirp, the fireflies began to settle. The reds and pinks and oranges of dawn began to give way to golden light as the sun rose higher, a fiery circle climbing higher. Many of the lights that glowed through the night began to snap off, but for Miguel and Corbin, it felt as if their day was coming to an end. Corbin laid back on the grassy hill, his eyes fluttering shut. Miguel snuggled closer to his friend, turning to rest his head on Corbin's chest, draping an arm across his stomach.

Corbin slid an arm under Miguel and wrapped it around his back, pulling him close. With a bit of maneuvering, the two brought the yellow jacket up over them like a blanket, draping it over their bodies. Corbin closed his eyes and surrendered to sleep. Miguel closed his eyes, but he stayed awake, listening to Corbin's breathing, feeling the heart beating against his ear. They were out in the middle of nowhere, but anywhere he was felt right as long as Corbin was there.

The air grew warmer, the day advanced slowly, the sweet grasses swayed in the morning wind, and the two boys fell into a deep sleep. Despite experiencing the comforts the city had to offer, Miguel had never slept so soundly as he did, holding his crush, holding his friend, holding his mate. Miguel smiled even as he was asleep, feeling a contentment that soaked into his bones and filled his heart. It was not an organ meant to beat alone, but with the beat of a different drum. The two had become one - melded together beneath the fireflies and the moonlight.
