pet training chapter 6
" Wake up, please wake up." a voice says as I began to wake up. I open my eyes to see Roxain crying at the bed side. " why are you crying?" I say in a dry cracked voice. She opened her eyes and cryed out " Oh, Joel, you've been asleep for so long". " How long?" I replie. She sniffles then said " well, you've been asleep since elder Rosie put the cream on your neck and that was about two weeks ago". Two weeks, I didn't understand, I've never slept that long before. Before I could say anything to her she said " I'm so glad your awake, now we can get things straightened out".
She helped me out of the bed and sat me down at the kitchen table. She smiled and said " anything you want to eat before we start talking"? I didn't really feal hungry so I asked her for a cup of coffee with a slice of toast. She agreed to it and went to go get it as she hummed a song of a familiar tone. It sounded like one of my favorite songs, but it couldn't have been, so I asked her " what's that tune your humming there"? She giggled then said " well it's just one of my favorite songs by Journey". " Really, wich one was it ?" I replied. " Oh you know, it's don't stop believing". It's was my favorite song, but was it a coincident that she knew that or is it just her favorite song too.
As she sat next to me she said " So, what you want to talk about "? She knew what I wanted to talk about and I was going to get answers. " How do I get home ?" I said in a serious tone. Her smile soon turned into a frown, she looked down then back up saying " well, after I brought you here R.U.S.H thought you were dead, but you weren't and they don't know that, the only people who know about you being here is elder Rosie and I". I took a sip of the coffee, it was a bit sweet, and the toast had peanut butter on it, it was exactly how I made my breakfast back at home, somthing else was going on here.
Just then I remembered the shrine of me in side the hall closet. She really did loved me that much and I think there's somthing she wasn't telling me. I had to know and fast. " So, uhm, what do you do for a living?" I asked in a really fake voice. Her eyes softened then she said " well, I work for R.U.S.H, but I'm really trying take them down. Everything was okay until they promoted me, when they promoted me my first mission was to kiddnapp you and when I saw you I couldn't kill you, so I brought you back here like I said the first time we talked about R.U.S.H ". Her story sounded true and she was rubbing my hand again. I was feeling . . . . Weird. As I began to speak the clock rang out four times. She smiled then said " well, it's a bit late for toast, but food is food right"?
I laughed and said to her " anything else we can do, besides talk"? She grinned ear to ear then said " well. . ." I knew what she was thinking and I didn't want to. " Uhm, anything else "? She put her finger to her bottem lip then said " well, we can go for a walk ". I smiled, it would be the first time out of this place since the first day I entered this place. " Alright let's go ". As I stould up she said " Uhm, there is one thing ". I frowned and asked her what was wrong " your suppose to be dead Joel, everyone thinks you're dead, you can't be seen by R.U.S.H".I had forgotten about that, then Roxain grabbed my hand and pulled me into the bed room.
