The elevator slowly scaled up the skyscraper's length at a glacial pace. The lion brushed some dust off his charcoal suit which clung tight to his lean form. Already he wasn't impressed with the cleanliness of the place. He felt a buzzing in his pocket. Retrieving his phone, he found a text from his assistant.

'Seriously, you don't want to mess with this kid. He may only be in his early 20's, but he's absorbed huge pharmaceutical companies after just one meeting.'

Terence scoffed. After turning his phone off, he deposited it back into his pocket where it wouldn't bother him further. Everyone else in the world may have fallen for this upstart's scam, but he wouldn't be fooled. He had enough business sense to know when someone was faking it til they made it. The panther he was here to meet had no instinct for profit. Word on social media said he gave exorbitant salaries to his employees, even the lowest folks on the ladder and lived frugally out of choice. However, rumor also said he ran a seedier business on the side--that he had multiple butlers serving him in his home. Terence couldn't wait to wipe that smug smirk off his face and show the business world the trap they had all fallen for while he had risen above.

The elevator doors opened. He ignored the attendant who greeted him and marched down the sleek, new-age hallway. Conference rooms lined each side of the hall, each with walls made of glass he could easily peer through. He saw a few meetings in progress, a couple presentations but rolled his eyes at the sight of a party. People in and out of formal wear danced to a tune he couldn't hear thanks to the soundproofed walls. Likely a birthday. A waste of company time if he ever saw one.

He made his way to conference room 1-C. He could see the panther inside. The new blood had come well-groomed at least. His fur coat was glossy and his modern fit suit wrinkle-free. The panther sat at the head of the table, where Terence belonged. Terence gripped the handle with a zealous firmness. His claws extended. It was time to show this newbie the jungle he stepped into.

He wrenched the door open and marched inside, towards the panther. His business rival stood up and held a hand out towards Terence. Firmly, Terence engulfed and shook the younger man's hand.

"A pleasure to meet you, Mister Ergon," said Darius 'Dapper' Ares.

"Ah, it's all mine, little guy," said Terence as he ended the handshake with one last firm squeeze. Satisfied with how far he had to peer down to look Dapper in the eye, he returned to the other side of the table and sat down, fingers clasped together.

"To business," said the panther as he sat down as well. "Now, I believe you wanted to discuss the upcoming partnership."

"Yes," Terence said. He pulled at his collar. Had the heat turned up?

"Of course. You see, I believe that if we pooled our resources with your company's techniques, we could create a fantastic new sleep aid my crew have been developing that could--"

As he continued to speak, Terence lost concentration on the exact wording. He was more focused on why it was so damn hot in here. His mouth opened to complain but felt so dry he couldn't speak.

"Terence?" said Dapper. Terence snapped to attention, tilting his head up to look at the eight-foot tall panther. "Are you alright?"

"Yes, I-I'm fine..." said Terence. He slipped off the vines that had accumulated on his shoulders and the heat of the jungle began to, at last, subside.

"Good," boomed the voice of the panther. "Now, do you wish to see what we've been working on? I'm very excited about the progress we've made."

"Sure!" said Terence. Both of them stood and walked to the cliffside overlooking the sea. Crashing waves began to take shape into solid forms that spoke to Terence. They whispered secrets that set his mind ablaze. He stared spellbound and nodded. "Yes, this all looks in order. I can see how this will come together in the fourth quarter."

"Excellent. Arms at your sides."

Terence stood at attention, stiff as a board and arms at his sides. Dapper, twenty feet tall, naked and impressive picked him up between two fingers and kindly raised him up to look him in the eye. The lion drooled, respectfully. "We should probably begin negotiations."

"Yes, I agree." Terence felt a pen slide into his hand. A contract appeared before his eyes. "My terms are thus--you sign on the dotted line and then we get you a drink. How does that sound?"

That sounded perfectly reasonable. The lion reached up and gave his signature on the dotted line without a glance to the contents. The panther's grin was a mile wide, encompassing the horizon. He relaxed. The negotiations were finished. His task was complete. His reward: the panther's approval. A glass of water appeared and floated in front of his eyes. Guzzling it down, the lion purred, content.

"Attaboy, Mister Ergon," said Dapper. One feline hand lay wrapped around the kneeling lion's head, bobbing him up and down Dapper's thick pink member. He purred in unison with his thrall as his fellow feline's tongue got to work, his mind lost in the dream logic Dapper projected. "Enjoy your drink. Satisfy your thirst."

In his other hand, Dapper held his phone. A new email had come from Comp Heal Incorporated, asking about a possible merger. He shot a message to his secretary which contained a request to set up a date. Outside, an intern passed by and waved at Dapper, unbothered that the visiting CEO had his head in the panther's lap. Why should he be bothered? It's casual Friday.
