Just thought it'd be fun to make another updated version of the map.
Villains and heroes are just an illusion. They're a fairy tale to tell your cubs and reassure them good people exist in this world, despite the contrary. The truth is that everybody contains a little sin. It's a black-and-grey need that can transform into an addicting vice, or perhaps an evil act that rots your core into mulch. It doesn't matter if you're a law-abiding citizen, a greedy business executive, a zealous believer, an amoral crime boss, a random gangbanger, the lover of a hitman or a serial killer hiding in plain sight; everybody has a dirty little secret that has some degree of control over their pathetic life.
Nobody wants to be defined by their secrets though. Everybody has a desire. Some want power. Some want money. Some want knowledge. Some want a purpose during their time on Earth. Love. Friends. Family. Belonging. Sympathy. Excitement. Distraction. Escape. To be remembered forever. To see all there is to see beyond their comfortable cradle in life. Some (if not all) just want a decent ass to fuck at the end of the night. Maybe even a combination of everything they can get their paws on.
Whatever the case, it's never free. It comes at a price. This can be by the coins in your pocket or a sliver of your very soul. Know that you're not alone in this endeavor.
From the crime-ridden alleyways of Manhattan City to the quaint football-obsessed towns surrounding Nicolet Bay, from the windy piers of Lakertown to the neon casinos of Oasis, from the glamorous urban sprawl of Las Estrellas to the mystic bayous of New Carnaval, from the beachfront vices of Cape Fiesta to the crowded mega-malls of the Gemini Cities, from the arid dogma-fueled churches of Crossroads City to the freethinking neighborhood hilltops of Golden Gate Harbor, from the isolated paradise of Pearl Bay to the frozen boardwalk of Alaska City...there's a soul that wants to be heard.
You might be one of them, or you might not be. Either way, there's always a soul out there who wants to overcome its sins, its secrets, its shitty deal in life...and simply resonate.

Named after the hacktivist group (called re: Sonance) that operates online, the Resonance universe is a present-day version of our world with anthropomorphic animals and prominent cities having their own names. While modern and contemporary, the Resonance universe is a setting where politics, the criminal underworld and espionage are visible only through a lens of white-and-grey-and-black morality. Whether you're a hacker, a contract killer, a prostitute, politician or corporate spy, some rules or law need to be broken in order to succeed in your mission.
"Cherry" - Markus Faoláin and Cherry. A brooding contract killer-for-hire and a male prostitute. Two souls lost in Lakertown's underworld, now must survive against an enemy who wants to see them bleed.
It has neo-noir themes, homoeroticism and most of the main characters are LGBTQA+ <3
