The rat sat on the chair; the rodent tied up securely with thick rope as the single light in the room swung about above him. Phil was unconscious as the snout of the rodent was pointed down and to the right as he breathed softly.

It was when the door opened that Phil stirred, the bright light from outside came into the room as the rodent closed his eyes tightly and looked away with a frown as a large male came in, followed by something else as the door closed behind them, bringing back the darkness around the outer parts of the room, except for the light bulb that was above the rodent.

As the eyes were readjusting again to the dim lit room, Phil saw the large muzzle right in front of his face, the white stripe around the top ridge of the nose that ran all the way up along the forehead. Dark eyes looked back at the rat as the face frowned, the pupils narrowed and then the black lips moved apart as the sharp white teeth were shown. "Now, where did you manage to get all that money you owed me, hmm?"

Phil felt a cold shiver as he felt the leather glove hand paw grip at his lower snout, Phil felt his inner thighs become wet as the rat pissed himself, the rodent was naked as the sound of his urine splattered onto the floor. "I-I paid, didn't I?" Phil swallowed and quickly added. "Big Badge."

The smile just continued as the large badger kept a hold of the lower jaw of the rodent and squeezed, pain came over the rodent as he felt his foot paws move about on the floor, the skin sloshed about from his quickly cooling down piss. "Oh really, and how did you do that exactly?"

The badger known as Big Badge was well known in the underworld, a badger born who was then quickly abandoned as a cub. So, traumatised from this, the young cub quickly concluded that the only one to look after was himself.

Over time, the badger became more involved in crime where he lent money to those who needed it with high interest rates and to those that didn't pay on time usually ended up in his grasp forever and yet...

Phil swallowed as he looked at the sharp fangs from the badger in front of him and spoke with a shaky voice. "P-put a bet on, w-won on the h-horses." The rodent felt the hand paw painfully squeeze about on his lower snout as the leather glove creaked.

Big Badge or as those that were in his trusted circle would know him as Sam growled at the rat as he pressed his large black nose against the smaller pink nose. "Why are you trying to lie to me?"

Phil squirmed as he heard something move about to the right of him out of sight in the darkness and he tried to turn his head to look but Sam kept his hand paw firmly about the snout. "Shall we try this again? Where did you get the money from?"

Phil swallowed and looked away as the rat answered. "I s-stole it okay, happy?" The rat continued to not look at the two piercing eyes from the larger badger as Sam growled. "Go on, continue." Sam said as his breath washed over the rat who continued to squirm, the sound that was behind him now was familiar and yet the male couldn't figure what it was, but he felt the fur on the back of his neck rise up as the sensation of fear came over him, more than the sharp fangs from the badger in front of him in plain view.

"Someone on the street. I-I mugged them." Phil said through his dry lips, the rodent licked them as the badger narrowed his eyes at the rodent. "Is that your final answer on the matter?" Sam asked while he kept a hand paw on the chin of the rodent who nodded slightly, wincing to the pain his lower jaw was screaming at him from the strong fingers squeezing the area.

"Y-yes, that's the t-truth. P-please let me go?" Phil said back to the large badger who slowly let go of the jaw from the rat and the rodent felt relieved before he saw that large black hand paw curl up into a fist and then it came flying towards him as it smack him square into his left eye. The bright white light from that side of the vision, the rat squeaked loudly in pain as the large badger stood tall once again as he messed with the left glove, ensuring the fingers were properly inside each of the leather covered fingers.

Sam slowly folded his arms about his broad chest, the badger frowned at the rodent as he spoke. "I have a few things in life I won't accept. You know some of them. Borrow money, don't care what you use it for but there is one thing I won't accept."

Phil looked at the large badger, the rat didn't want to turn his head away from him, even though part of him wanted to turn around to see what was behind him, that made his fur stand on end as a warning. "T-to pay it back?" The rat replied to the large badger who slowly nodded his head at the tied-up rodent.

"I know that, you know why I'm called Big Badge. It's that I don't take any shit, there's even standards I won't cross even when it comes to someone owing me money." The badger paused as he continued to frown at the rat who looked puzzled and then the rodent face turned into terror as Sam bared his fangs. "Where did you get the money?"

Phil felt the urge to piss again but his bladder was empty, the body felt panic and then the rodent felt his stomach lurch as he threw up, the vomit splattered over his front as terror came over him, his mind racing for any other answer and then he gasped, spitting out bits of his sick from the mouth and replied. "F-from my mother."

Sam looked disgusted as he glared back at the rat in the chair. "You stole from your blind mother? That is what you're trying to say isn't it?" The badger saw the rodent nod his head as the large badger growled. "Thank you for confirming this for me. We won't be seeing each other again."

Phil felt a wave of relief as he started to smile. "You're not mad?" The badger shook his head. "No, I'm not, our business has been concluded and as you said you paid in full." The large badger turned around and walked towards the door and he placed a large hand paw on the handle and half turned it but then stopped. "Oh, one more thing, I haven't accepted the money and oh look." The badger used his other arm to look at the watch. "It appears you ran out of time to pay me back as well. Goodbye." Sam opened the door as the full light of outside came flooding in as the rat turned his head around as he saw the large snake rise up from behind, the large maw opened up as thick saliva dripped from the roof.

Sam heard the scream of terror as the badger closed the door, leaving the room back to its dull lit as the sound of the catch clicked back into place. Phil saw the large snake begin to coil around him, the rat felt himself panic as the thick coils curled around his front and back of the chair, then he felt himself being lifted up as the large snake flipped him about before he crashed to the floor.

The sound of the wooden chair broke as the rodent felt the ropes about his hands loosen, with free spurring him on, the rat tried to squirm out from the coils but his legs were still tied up along the legs. With a frightful look, the rodent felt the coils begin to tighten about him as the large mouth opened and closed in front of his panic-stricken eyes.

The sound of the wood started to creak and crack around him as the rodent felt the wood press against his body, the pressure about his spine increased while the legs of the chair snapped, the broken wood speared through part of the rat's legs as he cried out in pain, air escaping his lungs as the coils squeeze more.

Phil found himself unable to inhale again as he squirmed about madly, the pain that came from his leg as more of the wood sunk into his flesh, the small trickle of blood that leaked from between the coils as it shimmered in the dull light bulb that shone hotly above them. Then the rat felt another sharp pain as the pressure increase around his chest, the ribs cracked before the panel of wood that was pressed against his spine snapped and sunk in as it cut through the spinal cord. Phil felt no more pain in his chest or below, only from his arms as the pressure continued to build up around his neck, the blood rushed upwards to his head as the rat felt dizzy, the painful headache increased as his vision blurred, the thick soupy blood mixture turned his vision into a deep red pool of mist.

Slowly, the snake shifted the body about as the sound of bones and cartilage popped and cracked as the snaked continued to squeeze even tighter. Several organs within the rat popped from the pressure as the heart was pierced from the sharp remains of the broken ribs, all of which was not felt by the male rat at all who slowly felt his mind dull over, the thick red mist got darker as the rat opened his mouth, the last bits of air came out along with the thick tongue as it pulsated with each squeeze from the strong coil muscles of the serpent.

Then the head of the rat fell to the side as the snake hissed, the fleshy air tube sucked in air as it closed over and then blew air back out as the thick gloopy saliva dripped all over the rodent's head, then the snake slowly began to engulf the head as the jaws slowly slid over.

The last thing Phil felt was the wet slimy saliva that coated his head as the firm fleshy tube of the throat gripped at his wet ears and then he slowly slipped down the gullet as the images of old flashed through his dying brain from the beating heart he could hear. The snake unhinged it's jaws as it stretched over the crushed shoulders, the mushed up torso shifted about as it moved into the large wet mouth of the snake, the throat began to swell up as the male rat was tugged down by the wet fleshy walls.

The coils became loose as the wood pieces clattered to the ground while the rat was left being held in place as the warm dead body of the rodent continued to be slowly swallowed, the wet saliva lips of the reptile wiggled it's way over the broken body as the snake slowly swelled from the large meal.

The sound of the heart beats got less as the brain slowly died within the skull of the rodent, only the sound from the stomach churning could be heard as his head slowly slipped past the tight entrance, the stinging acid that swept into his nostrils as it brought the brain back alert for only a second or two and then even that dulled as the rodent finally died while more of his body was pushed into the muscled organ as the strong acid rolled about the torso.

The snake slowly slid its mouth along the broken legs, the wood snapping in places as parts of it slipped into the mouth and with only the feet paws left, they pressed together as the snake slowly pulled them into the dark wet tunnel of the throat as they took their final journey down the dark fleshy tube.

The door to the room opened up as the snake adjusted it's jaws, clicking them back into place before it slowly slithered out into the open sunlight again and the strong muscled moved the large rodent body about as it bent about as the snake pushed itself along the dirt ground until it began to lie down on the hot sun warmed rock and curled about to digest the meal. Sam watched as he looked inside the room, then closed the door again as he climbed into his vehicle and drove off.

There was a knock on the door as the old female rat slowly felt her way towards it and opened it while it remained on the chain. "Hello?" She asked as her ears listened.

Sam stood there as he spoke. "Ah, hello there. I am Inspector John from the precinct. Can I come in?" The badger held out his badge and allowed the rodent to take hold of it as she felt the badge with his fingers. The old rat nodded her head as she closed the door and unclasped the security chain and allowed the badger to come in on his own. "Please sit down." The female rat said as she moved to where she usually sat, and Sam watched before he sat down as well.

"It's about your son, there's been an incident, it seems he was picked off by some hungry felines." Sam said as he spoke softly. "I'm so sorry for your loss."

The female rat nodded but there was a hint of a smile behind it and Sam noticed it as he continued to speak. "It seemed that they were only interested in him, they left this behind." The badger got up, walked over and then placed a large envelope onto the female rat lap and backed away as he watched her looked puzzled before her fingers opened the envelope and blinked in surprise.

Sam smiled. "We've counted it, there's a hundred thousand there, does that seem correct?" The badger watched the female rat who shook her head. "Must be a mistake, he only took fifty thousand from me. Where did he get the rest?"

Sam slowly pushed himself up from the chair and replied. "Who can tell but we are happy that this money was taken from you so you can keep it." The badger gave a soft smile to the female rat as he continued. "I'll see myself out, have a good day Miss." The badger walked over to the door, opened it and took one final look at the old blind rat before he stepped out and closed the door behind him, then the badger pulled out a phone as he dialled a number, listened to it ring before someone answered it on the other side. "I want the word to be put out, that the blind rat in Kale Street is to be left alone. Anything happens to her, they'll have me to deal with, got it?" The badger ended the call and then he walked over to his car and got back into it. With one final look at the house, the badger turned the engine on and slowly drove off, there was others to see, more money to collect and others to punish. Sam looked about the area as he drove along, this was his town and his rules.
