#29 of All They Knew

The next six days were a drag. Skye couldn't quit anticipating Aaron's arrival and where she'd take him in Alola in such a short amount of time. They talked plenty over the phone about how the trip would go in general and a few plans. Skye would meet Aaron in Hau'oli upon his arrival, spend some hours with him, maybe introduce him to her parents, and he'd head to Akala Island before evening. During that period, Skye also mustered the courage to break the news to her father, and of course, Ruki sat beside her the whole time to grant support. Her father had a passive take on the situation, so she wasn't sure how he actually felt about it yet. It brought a pinch of anxiety that Skye had tucked away.

She was currently in Hau'oli's busy shopping district with Ruki beside her, heading toward her favorite clothing store. It was hot out, so she wore a somewhat tight pink top and blue jean shorts. "I know I've got enough clothes, but I want a few new options for this week. I wore some of my favorites in Sinnoh already."

Ruki knew this was serious. She was going to buy clothes to dress for Aaron? He'd gladly help her choose. Ruki already had back in Sinnoh, and she treated him while wearing it later that evening. Of course, that wouldn't be the case this time, but he could still admire Skye with his eyes.

They arrived at the capacious store in minutes. Skye pushed its door open and entered the cool environment. Many options hanging on clotheslines and organized wooden racks against pink walls were pricey, but Skye only planned on buying one or two outfits. Greeting her instantly on a stand to the left were assorted ear headbands. She grinned and stepped over to it. Skye picked up a pair of espeon ears and ran her fingers over them. They felt real, not that Skye had ever touched an espeon in her life. "These are cute..." But it wasn't like her to wear them, and she didn't feel it would look good on her. Skye put them back and looked down, then around her proximity. Ruki was nowhere to be found. "Mh..." Skye didn't want to call for him inside a store with only a few other people around. She took a few steps toward the entrance and looked around, shortly spotting him by a clothesline near the store's far right.

Ruki had seen something that caught his eye, and he'd never get Skye to pay attention to him in a clothing store without forcing her to come to him.

"Ruk', how'd you even..." Her eyes fell upon a small white satin dress. Skye curiously took it and held it up to her chest. It'd fit tightly. The dress would cut off slightly past her upper thighs and had two short slits with thin black outlining on each side to reveal more skin, leaving the cloth's front and backside to drape down slightly. "...I like this," she said. Fortunately, the store had changing rooms. The dress was priced at 550, so it'd likely be the only thing Skye would buy. "Come on; I wanna try this on." She walked toward the stalls on the store's opposite side but came across another rack that caught her eye. On it was something Skye never before considered, not that she was the type of girl to wear a choker casually, but they looked appealing to her at this very moment. She glanced around the store as if it were taboo, then grabbed one appealing to her before continuing to the dressing rooms.

Ruki saw it, however. The rose-colored leather collar with an outlined shiny metal heart connecting the object at its center. He followed after her and into the dressing room after Skye opened its door.

She closed and locked it accordingly, setting the dress and choker on the wooden seat. A mirror was on the wall behind her. "You can sit in the seat, baby."

He hopped up without a beat, sitting quietly while she took her shirt and shorts off. Ruki took a peek or two but gave Skye a sense of privacy otherwise.

Once she was done, Skye set them down and picked up the dress, noticing a zipper on its backside. Skye used the mirror to zip it up almost entirely and pulled out the dress' bottom areas after slipping it on. She turned around and studied herself. The slits on the side revealed her thighs perfectly, and Skye loved how it ran down her sacred areas. She then leaned over and picked up the choker, unclipping it and fitting it around her neck before reclipping and turning back to the mirror. Skye felt her cheeks warm. She had on an alluring dress and a heart choker. Skye would absolutely never wear this getup in public, and her parents could never know of it either. She'd take it off in a moment but turned to Ruki first. "Thoughts?"

It drew him in more than enough. He had to resist the urge to eye her legs and kept his gaze on her face, somewhat on her choker. He also had to quickly clear his mind. "Nine," Ruki said, his tails swaying slowly against the wall.

"Big help, as usual, Ruki." Skye took everything off and got back into her clothing, taking it to the front desk and paying. With a bag in-hand, she exited the store with Ruki. Skye had to hope her parents didn't question its contents upon her return home. "I can't believe he'll be here tomorrow... Gosh, I'm nervous." Skye usually felt ready for anything, but this was the one thing she sensed she wasn't. Maybe her nerves were getting ahold of her too much.

She'd be fine. They paired well together. Ruki just hoped he could go with her. This was a reunion he couldn't afford to miss.
