chapter three we'rewolf
Toma woke up on the small cot, seeing rays of light shine though the window in the room. Toma felt fur rub up agenst him as he shifted position, seeing aura sleeping next to him. Toma went to sit up but a spike of pain in his shoulder stopped him from getting up. He wanted to scream but he thought waking up aura would be a death wish for him, so he clamped his hand over his mouth and kept silent as he sat up, the pain making his eyes tear up. Sitting up he looked behind him as saw that aura was gone! Toma turned back around and screamed as aura was standing in front of him, grinning.
" Don't do that, please?"Toma said heaving for air, his heart racing.
Aura smiled and licked toma's face as an apology.
" How did you do that?"
Aura shrugged his shoulders and picked toma up.
"You like picking me up don't you?"
Aura nodded and left the room. They went down stairs and into the kitchen. Aura put toma down and padded to a nearly by cab nit. He opened it and pulled out the bread he brought yesterday and handed it to toma, motioning for him to eat it. Toma finished eating and looked at aura, who looked away.
" Hey aura... why you acting so shy?"
Aura looked at toma and pointed to his shoulder
"What, this? I don't care about it... you probably had a good reason to do it though..."
Aura padded up to toma and hugged him. Toma felt a bit of pain as the werewolf hugged him. The lycan let go of toma and looked at him. Aura began to lean in, and toma backed up
"A-aura, what are you doing?"
The lycan cupped toma's cheek with his right paw and leaned in again. Toma watched aura lean in, their lips connecting for a kiss. Toma's eyes went wide and pushed him away from aura.
"A-aura... why... this is not right... why me?"
Aura pointed to his shoulder again
"Aura... I'm fine... but why did you kiss me... you are a male, aren't you?"
Aura nodded
"So wait...you like... me? Or is it because you bit me?"
Aura pointed to toma this time, and looked away.
"Heh... a gay werewolf... who would have thought..."
Aura looked at toma, tears running down his cheeks
"Hey don't cry... I don't care that you're gay... just as long as..."
Toma started think, he really didn't want to break the werewolf's heart... but he wasn't gay though. Toma thought for a moment, the only reason he's still alive is because aura liked him and if he told aura that he didn't like him, he might become his next meal. Toma also realized that aura was helping him because he was hurt... but why did he bite him? Toma looked at the werewolf and sighed, he had no choice but to like him back or get eaten.
"Aura... hey stop crying, I like you too"
Aura looked at toma and smiled. Wiping the tears from his eyes aura padded up to toma and hugged him.
"Aura... why did you bite me?"
Aura stopped hugging toma and picked him up again, leaving the kitchen. They went down a different hallway and entered the first door they saw. This room was a complete library with book shelves reaching the ceiling all around the room. There were three tables with four chairs around them in the middle of the library. Aura placed toma on a table and scaled a bookshelf, grabbing a book near the top. Aura jumped off and landed on his feet in front of toma. Aura gave toma the book and held up eight fingers. The book had no title and its spine was in disrepair. Toma was surprised it was still holding together.
"Page eight?"
Aura separated he paws and wiggled his fingers, five on the left and three on the right.
" Page fifty-three?"
Aura nodded and toma opened the book, a few pages falling out. Toma opened to the page that aura told him to go too and saw I was the beginning of a chapter... a chapter about werewolves. Toma began reading the text. The writing was a bit faded but still readable.
Ch 7
Werewolves
Most think that werewolves are demonic creatures that lust for blood and meat. Well those people who think that are wrong. Werewolves are cursed humans that are trying to find a way to change back to humans, but fail. The reason because of the lycan hunters or they die of old age. Either or werewolves live for a long time, 200 years or more. Most werewolves manage to keep their sanity by either falling in love in the state there in or bite an unsuspecting host for them to feed off of. There only reason "certain" werewolves go in to blood lust frenzy is because of the lack of blood they receive... this is why people fear werewolves.
"So wait you werewolves are like vampires?"
Aura shook his head and flipped the page.
There are four different levels of werewolves. There are cauterized by rank, fur color, and sanity. Rank A ,or pure blood werewolves, are the rarest lycan's in the pyramid. They have all their sanity and won't lose it, no matter the situation. They have one spiciest fur color, silver. Rank B, or the aristocrats. These werewolves were humans bitten by a pure blood lycan. They have their sanity, but they'll lose it over time if they don't fall in love after 20 years. We researched and could not find out why this causes them not to lose their sanity, so we just made sure they had a mate to be with so we could train them. There fur color is either white or black. Level C, or cursed werewolves, was humans bitten by an aristocrat werewolf. These werewolves need blood to keep their sanity, why we do not know. There fur color is either brown with black or a combination of white and black. Level D, or feral werewolves, were humans bitten by a level c werewolf. There is no way to keep this one sane. When it goes berserk the only way to calm it... is kill it. The level d werewolves lose their sanity over time, and there is nothing to prevent it. There fur color is like a regular Timberwolves fur, brown with grey and tan.
"Wow... you guys were ranked... and you're a pureblood lycan?"
Aura nodded and padded up to toma.
" It says that you won't lose your sanity, no matter the situation... so why did you bite me?"
Aura looked at toma and pointed back to the book toma read over it again... rank b, or the aristocrats. These werewolves were humans bitten by a pure blood lycan.
Toma dropped the book and looked at aura.
"I-im going... to be... a werewolf!!??"Toma exclaimed
Aura nodded and looked down.
" Is there any way that I can get rid of this before I turn?"
Aura shook his head and looked at toma.
" Aura... I didn't want to be a lycan... but you're going to make me one, why?"Toma asked.
Aura looked at toma, turned and was beginning to leave without toma.
"Aura where are you going?"Toma asked getting up and grabbing aura by the shoulder
Aura looked back and smiled at toma.
(Why is he smiling) toma thought.
Aura turned around and hit toma in the shoulder. Toma looked at aura with wondering eyes.
"Why did you hit me... was it supposed to hurt?" toma said rubbing his shoulder.
Toma felt bumps under his shirt and realized that aura had hit him in the shoulder that he bit, and it didn't hurt! Toma hit his shoulder and felt no pain. Toma then realized that aura had bit him in order to get rid of his pain.
"aura..." toma ran around the room without pain" I feel no pain!"
Toma walked up to the lycan and hugged him "thank you aura"
Aura kissed him on the head as they held each other in a tight hug.
