Before we start I want to add a warning about some of the stuff the story will contain later down the line: violence, blood, language, sensitive subjects, and sexual themes. I'd also like to add that the following characters of Vergence, Genesis, Coby and a handful of others are not owned by me, but instead owned by Jasonafex and used with his permission. The continent of Voval was founded 350 years ago by nine heroes who fled their homeland of Vidalia after a strange species known as humans invaded and fought the terrains in a bloody war. The nine heroes were among the strongest and most well known, hence why they were chosen to find a new home for the terrains while several remained behind to stall humanity. However when they arrived on the northern coast of Voval, they discovered it was be ruled by a sinister Emperor of Darkness and his army of imps and demons. Many didn't wish to be bogged down in another war and simply set sail elsewhere to find a new home. The dragon known as Varjo Winterfang suggested that they fight to free the continent as he and his younger brother Valo had discovered that there were terrains already living there but as slaves to the Emperor of Darkness and his demon armies. Said terrains were mostly made up of saurus terrains but either way, learning that members of their people were being enslaved, it ignited the fire of war In them but before said war started, they slipped into the shadows to make preparations and at the request of the raptor Jason and pangolin Kaden, a group of individuals was chosen and sent back out to sea as a precaution to help ensure that even if they failed, the terrain race would live on. A brutal and bloody war was soon waged that lasted for three years but ultimately Jason, Varjo and their fellow heroes and terrains came out on top and Voval was free. In the aftermath, five countries were founded: Dragis, the mountainous and snowy north. Kalmarsh, the temperate plains and forests. Outland, home of the savanna and rocky coastlines. Candis, the eventual home of the Voval Institute of Magic. And Uvaris, the eventual home of the Divine Institute of Study. The sacred weapons of the nine heroes were soon spread across the continent, two in each except for Uvaris and sealed away in special shrines. The peace however is about to be broken as Uvaris starts to invade Candis, with the leaders of the other three countries preparing to negotiate with Uvaris to learn what prompted them to attack and make plans to defend themselves in the event that they're invaded. Our story begins on the outskirts of Scarlett City, the capital city of Kalmarsh, as a pair of twenty three year old raptors who had left their hometown two years earlier arrive there. The duo will soon find themselves swept up into a war that will span all of Voval and change their lives forever.
