This is a direct followup to the Absorption Version of Hidden in the Spotlight.

Brian is having mixed feelings about the situation with Madison and MK. He makes Madison a stealthy offer in the car on the way home and Madison jumps at the chance. The ferret has no idea what he's gotten himself into.

The magenta feline shifted awkwardly in his seat at the back of the sedan. "I'm really sorry about the trouble I caused all of you." MK started to undo his seatbelt as the car pulled up in front of his building.

"We'll call if Madison has any other problems." Han responded as he engaged the parking brake and shifted into park. The chubby jackal twisted in his seat, looking back at the taller male in the back and then over at the ferret in the passenger seat.

Brian was holding on tightly to the clear plastic jar full of cyan goo that contained the form of their recently changed friend. He looked back, and then turned to see MK climbing out of the car.

David, seated directly behind the ferret, glared after the goo tiger. The crow turned his head to follow the large feline as he made his way around the car.

As MK came around to the passenger side from the front, the blue goop that was Madison shifted a bit. The clearest he had all night, the cyan dik-dik formed his head on the surface of the rest of his fluid body. His eyes clearly trailed after the much larger goo, and he let out a soft, plaintive bleat.

The mustelid pouted, eyes focused on the shape of his friend's head looking like a living jell-o mold. Brian's fingers held tighter, slightly deforming the plastic. He couldn't quite articulate what he was feeling... just that he wanted to hold onto Madison for now.

Partway up the path to the small duplex, MK pivoted on one foot and gave the assembled friends in the car a wave. He held a moment, looking for the reply, but the inside of the car was too dark to tell. He continued his rotation and fluidly made his way to the door.

Han waited for the tiger to get the door open before shifting back into drive and undoing the brake. The jackal turned the wheel away from the curb and resumed driving. "Brian, you two are next since it's so close. You okay looking after Mads by yourself?"

As the car pulled away the tiny gel antelope pivoted and craned his head out of the jar on a tendril, trying to watch MK until the door closed behind the tiger. Madison slunk back down into himself and made a sad burbling noise. The cyan substance he had become sometimes pressed against itself and other times just mixed back together.

Brian's eyes had been focused on this the entire time, so it took him a few moments to realize Han had spoken. "What? Oh, yeah. I'm good." The ferret licked his lips slightly. Staring at the way Madison shifted and changed shape so easily, how down he seemed... an idea was forming in his mind. Something he was sure the other two in the car wouldn't approve of. The mustelid looked over at the jackal casually as he drove on, and then twisted his head to peek back at David behind him.

The crow was squinting, a sure sign of his annoyed state, as he tapped away on his phone with the tip of his tongue peeking out of his beak. Between that and Han's focus on the road and general weary disposition, it seemed neither were paying too tight of attention.

Brian slumped a little in his seat, bringing the plastic jar up to around his muzzle's height. He hoped that it would read to just an adjustment to the other two, while he directed the real body language of his intent to Madison. The ferret parted his lips as he tilted the plastic vessel towards his mouth, slowly exhaling his warm breath into the cyan gel.

The faintly formed face firmed up and twisted towards the source of the warm air. Madison stared, eyes noticeably trailing up and down Brian's features.

Tentatively the ferret raised his eyebrows, asking the silent question: 'would you like to come in?' He swallowed a mouthful of gathering saliva along with his nerves and brought his lower lip to the edge of the jar.

Madison's eyes widened.... Then his face melted down into the goo fully. At the same time, the clear cyan substance surged over the lip of the vessel and directly into the mustelid's mouth. Though unlike a natural fluid, none of it missed to drizzle out the edges of his lips; every drop that crossed the plastic threshold funneled into the warm biological entrance.

Brian swallowed automatically with a much louder gulping sound, eyes watering from the intensity of the sudden flood. The ferret did all he could to make sure the following swallows were quieter, hoping that the initial glrk had been quiet enough to not be heard over the sound of the road. In his paws, the jar was getting lighter and lighter.

Finally, the gel dik-dik pulled the last of himself free of the plastic, not leaving even a residue behind as he eagerly poured himself down his friend's throat. In a final act that made the mustelid blush, a bit of the cyan grasped top and bottom lip, pulling them together to force Brian to close his mouth, before rejoining the rest to take the last gulp down.

The ferret panted softly, holding the empty vessel with both hands. His fluster was pink, glowing at the intersection of his dark mask and the rest of his facial fur. He could feel the mass of his friend settling into his stomach, making him feel slightly bloated. It wasn't unpleasant, but definitely noticeable. Brian quivered and pressed himself upright in his seat again, extending his legs with a slight tremble.

Madison, meanwhile, was sloshing himself back and forth within the digestive organ, mostly staying a formless fluid. The bloated sensation was starting to fade, but the movement was not.

"You sure you're okay, Brian?" Han asked suddenly.

Brian turned his head sharply and found that Han was focused on the road still. "Oh... just k-kinda had a leg cramp. Nothing to worry about."

"Plenty to worry about, just not with your leg." David added sardonically from the back of the car.

The ferret, meanwhile, had realized that the clear plastic jar was empty. That was plain to see the moment either of the other two looked at what he had in his paws. Swallowing, Brian tucked the vessel into his jacket.

No sooner had he done that, he felt small hooves rubbing along the inside of his abdomen, just at the base of his ribs. Madison must have started forming up into his proper shape, or at least in part.

Brian settled back into his seat, trying to relax and enjoy having his friend so close like this. He could feel that the sloshing had settled down and it was more like a semisolid dik-dik was rubbing about his empty insides... hadn't he filled up on party snacks? That must have all been deeper already.

Almost as if reading the ferret's thoughts, Madison's hooves found a ring of flesh leading deeper into Brian's system. He pressed his semisolid hooves through, and then liquefied to start pouring himself down.

The ferret quivered. He wasn't used to feeling these parts of his body move around, or things move within them. Just as he was trying to think of what to do, Brian realized that the car had turned onto on their street.

The jackal at the wheel carefully pulled over in front of the apartment building that housed the unit Brian and Madison shared. Han set the parking brake and turned in his seat. "Alright-"

"You call if anything else weird happens with Mads, okay?" David interrupted sharply from the back seat.

Han sighed, took a breath to speak and then paused. "Where... where's the jar?"

"What?!" The crow squawked, grasping the back of the ferret's seat to pull himself forward to look.

Brian winced, feeling his brow sweat as the dik-dik in question drained merrily into his small intestines. "Madison seemed like he fell asleep, so I put the jar in my jacket." He only partially lied.

"Don't fucking scare me like that." David muttered bitterly as he slumped back into his seat.

"Okay... that makes sense. Just a bit on edge after watching a friend... uh... dissolve." The jackal swallowed, guiltily. "Because I gave him party snacks..."

The ferret sat up in his seat, carefully undoing his seatbelt. "Hey, Mads was really going for it. He wanted to change."

"Then that creep tiger got all possessive." The crow spat bitterly.

"Yeah." Han nodded, apparently ignoring David. The jackal smiled tiredly. "Anyway... you've got MK's number so you can call him if anything else weird happens."

"Fuck that!" David leaned forward too sharply and was yanked back into his seat, cawing in frustration as he tried to undo the seatbelt. "You call us if there's a problem!"

Brian swallowed awkwardly and took advantage of the racket that the avian was making in the back seat to slip his way out of the sedan. He started towards the entrance to his building.

"Goodnight, Brian. Make sure Mads knows I'm sorry." Han called out.

Stifling a groan as his innards gurgled, the ferret pivoted. "Told you, you don't have to be sorry! Night, Han." He twisted back around and dug in his pocket for his keys. He tapped the dongle to the reader beside the door and got it open.

He didn't hear the car drive away until he had nearly finished closing the door behind himself. Brian tapped the elevator call button and the doors opened immediately. The mustelid stepped inside and tapped his and the dik-dik's floor, before leaning against the back wall of the car.

As the elevator started to move, he lifted his shirt to look down at his midsection. It was slightly more swollen out than he was used to, and he saw a faint hoof shape press out in concert with one of Madison's wriggles. "Holy crap you're really... really in there, aren't you...?"

The only audible answer from his friend was his lower guts glrrning as gasses were displaced through the winding pipeworks of his lower innards.

Thankfully, their door was close to the elevator, so Brian only had to walk a bit more before he was using his key to unlock the apartment. He walked in and closed the door behind him, before tugging his jacket off. The ferret draped the garment over the kitchen peninsula as he passed. He lunged a little backward to keep the jar from clattering off the countertop and set it upright.

Setting himself similarly, the mustelid headed his way towards the bathroom. "I really should let you out now that we're home..."

There was a loud borborygmus as the sapient gel shifted and swayed within the ferret's lower belly. Madison either hadn't heard or was pretending not to hear.

Either way, Brian stepped into the bathroom, glancing around. He placed the rubber stopper over the drain of the tub and knelt beside it. The ferret opened his mouth and thought about inducing vomiting, then paused. None of Madison was even in his stomach. Sighing, he stood again with a tired groan and began to strip the rest of the way down.

The glorping and shifting movements in his midsection kept up, keeping the blush on Brian's cheeks burning bright as he eased himself into the dry tub and sat down. "Gonna have to come out the back way I guess..."

Hoofy shapes pressed out of his pelt in different spots all over his midsection, as if the goo antelope had spread through the pipes rather than staying all together.

Blushing deeper, Brian pressed his paws down on his belly, squishing inward with a glorp. "C'mon Mads..." He whined, tiredly. Slowly, his eyes widened. As soon as he'd applied pressure, an alien warmth began to spread through his body from his midsection. In the wake of the warm sensation was.... All he could think to describe it was euphoria. He slumped in the tub, eyes lidding. "Mmmmads...? What're you doing...?" Faintly, he thought he saw his belly fur between his fingers turning blue. Another wave of blissful sensation washed over him, and the ferret passed out.

Brian was sinking, sinking ever deeper. Warmth and bliss inundated him from all around and from within. He was sinking into himself.

Madison was there, rising to meet his friend. The vibrant color of the cyan glowed to the mind of the ferret. A beacon, something to hold onto.

Vibrant and violet, Brian rushed to meet Madison, but in his eagerness, he pushed past his friend's core. Sky blue and twilight dusk twirled and spiraled together. Through all of it, the ferret found himself yearning... yearning that this separation would end.

The center of the twirling blue essence pressed more intently as well. Then, at once, the tension broke, and it was as though there had never been two. Colors no longer mixed in disparate layers, but blended, intermingling and churning. It all writhed and spun, tendrils like hands, protrusions like groaning mouths forming of the rich dark blue the mixture was becoming...

Until the passion that brought them together allowed them to settle.... Content.

In the morning, the bathtub sat empty, apart from a few gallons of vibrant blue gel, darker than Madison's cyan had been. A shape pressed from towards one end of the fiberglass vessel built into the tiles, as if something invisible were surfacing. After a few moments, it became clear that it was an antelope's snout, though far too large for it to be Madison's.

Some of the gel grew foggy as it pulled up at the top of the emerging muzzle, forming a mask shape. The shape conformed to the brow and closed eyes of the raising ungulate shape. Slowly, the eyes opened, as short horns emerged from the clear substance like a time-lapse of a three dimensional optical resin print.

Flicking his ears, the apparent antelope let out a soft, bleating groan, a tendril of gel emerging and shifting into a hoof-tipped hand and its associated arm. He grasped onto the edge of the tub, and pulled himself upright. The level of the gel lowered the more and more of his body took shape. He looked around the bathroom.

He had two conflicting sets of memories of before he woke up. He remembered lying down in the tub... but he also remembered pouring his way through his friend's body. On one hand his memory grew hazy when warmth enveloped his body, starting from his belly.... On the other.... still forming hand, he remembered a sudden pull from the walls of what must have been his friend's intestines, doing what they were designed to do... absorbing.

It clicked in his mind. "Oh." The hybrid of Brian and Madison spoke softly, a deeper blue blush forming on his cheeks. He looked down at his still mostly fluid form, and stroked down his long torso. "What... am I called?" He felt over his horns with his other hand, still proportioned like a dik-dik's. A thought came to his mind unbidden and he bubbled with amusement. "No... no I'm not Bradison. That's too silly..." But...

Brad focused on pulling himself up out of his own form, making his lower half come together. The hybrid groaned, like he'd just stood up too fast. His form was unsteady, but he retained his balance. Slowly the antelope-ferret looked down, realizing that he was so much... taller. Far more so than Madison, obviously, but even taller than Brian!

He broke out into a wide grin, eyes sparkling. "I'm tall!" He looked down at his legs, down to his hoof-tipped feet. He twisted to look over his glossy shoulder, and there was a nice thick ferret tail swaying, hazier surface where the darker fur had been on Brian. Another rush of glee bubbled forth into a giggle as he placed both his hands on his face. "I bet I come up at least to MK's chest now!"

His face fell. "Oh. Oh, I should tell MK. This is definitely something weird." He crouched and placed his hands on the edge of the tub, looking over the discarded shirt and pants. "Right front pocket." He muttered to himself as he dug into the jeans. From said pouch, he pulled the scrap of paper with the tiger's number on it.

Brad stood upright again, placing one hand onto the pole for the shower curtain to make sure he kept his balance. "Brian left his phone in his jacket." He said softly. He swallowed nervously. "Well... gotta learn to walk sometime..." Gripping the pole, the hybrid stepped over the side of the tub onto the tile, wobbling lightly. He took a deep breath, then let go, holding both arms out.

After a few moments of unsteadily t-posing, the new dik-dook lifted one foot, shifted his weight, and brought it down. "It's okay... both of me know how to walk... as solid life forms..." He muttered to himself. As he lifted one foot, then the other, he grew more confident in his ability to stay rigid enough to not lose balance.

As Brad rounded the corner from the hallway to the kitchen, he no longer felt the need to press his hoofy fingertips against the wall just in case, either. He got to the peninsula, setting the scrap with the number on it down. "Top front pocket..." He muttered as he dug through the jacket, before retrieving Brian's phone.

Automatically, he pressed his thumb to the thumbprint reader. The phone didn't react at all. He looked confused, before sighing. "No fingerprints..." He tapped the home button and entered the PIN instead, blushing a little bit at how long it took him to realize that.

From there it was easy to navigate his way into the numpad to dial, and then enter the number from the scrap of paper. He pressed 'call' on the touchscreen and set it up against his ear. Listening to it ring, he stared at the plastic jar sitting on the counter. "Did I really fit in that?"

The phone picked up, a familiar voice groaning drowsily. "Who is this...?"

"MK?" Brad put his other hand on the back of his phone to hold it better in place. "It's Brad." He paused, eyes wide. "Brian. Shit." He winced... did the tiger even really catch the ferret's name? "You know, Madison, last night?"

"Well which one is..." MK started to ask before trailing off.

"MK?" The hybrid asked again.

"Shit!" MK shouted right into the mic, causing the ferretalope to jump and nearly drop the phone. "Fuck shit crap shit motherfucker..." The tiger's voice grew faint as he railed off expletives, the sound of gel splashing and vinyl clothes squeaking against themselves being accurately replicated by the speaker in the smartphone. The phone jostled again. "Yes. Yeah. Shit."

"Can you come over?" Brad swallowed. That reaction didn't exactly instill him with confidence. "I'm pretty sure I'm supposed to be two people?"

"That is correct. Fuck." The tiger groaned, before continuing. "Sorry. I just... I was hoping you'd hold off on stuff like this until you were more used to... you. What address?"

Brad listed off the address from memory, his panic starting to subside a bit... but he wondered why the tiger had such a strong reaction if it was something he expected of a more experienced goo.

"Be right there." MK hung up the phone, leaving Brad alone with his thoughts.

It was only a few minutes before the intercom next to the apartment door buzzed. Brad hoped that the tiger hadn't sped, but it was a rather short drive between the two buildings the night before. The hybrid pressed the button. "Buzzing you in." He said softly. A moment later, he heard the nearby elevator being called downstairs.

Pacing a bit, the dik-dook tapped his transparent blue hooftips together and swayed his tail. While he'd been waiting, he'd found a plastic cover for the couch so at least he'd be able to sit down and relax while MK was at the apartment.

A knock on the door drew his attention, and he strode straight to open it up.

The magenta tiger stood there, staring. His eyes visibly traveled up and down the rich blue gel body before him.

It was only seeing MK wearing his vinyl jacket, shoes and pants that reminded Brad that he had completely forgotten to put on any clothes. The hybrid looked down at himself. He wasn't actually showing any part of himself that needed to be covered up, smooth over most of his body; not even a navel. When he looked back to the tiger, he spotted that the jacket wasn't closed. He felt an urge to flood right in, his body losing some of his solid state.

The feline looked worried. "Can I come in?"

Brad perked and blushed, realizing what had happened. He pulled himself back to solidness and nodded. "Of course." He stepped back from the door to let MK through, and a bit further to the kitchen peninsula.

Closing the door behind him, MK looked over the hybrid again. "How are you doing?"

"I was a bit disoriented at first but I'm getting used to it." The blue goo replied, fidgeting. "Can stand and walk and all that."

"Glad about that." MK said as he walked closer. "So, how did... this happen?" He gestured to all of the significantly taller male than he'd left behind.

Brad grabbed the empty jar from the counter beside him and mimed chugging it. The mime came complete with the very un-mime-like addition of loud gulping sounds from his mouth.

MK stared. "And.... Was that Brian's idea or Madison's?"

Brad froze, and then lowered the jar. He pondered, thinking back to the night before, to both sides of his memory. "Brian offered." He set the plastic container down. "Madison jumped at the chance."

The magenta tiger put one gloved paw on the counter, crouching slightly to get closer to eye level with the blue goo. "Is that all?"

The hybrid blushed, looking away. "Well... Brian was jealous of what Madison had gone through with you, that connection you shared." Brad rubbed the back of his hand with a hoof. "And I think he also wanted Madison to himself? Like... possessive feelings." He turned his thoughts to the other set of memories. "As for Mads... I think he just really wanted to bury himself in someone he trusted, since he was feeling some withdrawal from being in you."

Standing back up straight, MK nodded. "Well, at least you're self-aware enough to understand that about your component parts." The tiger chuckled. "That's more than some mergers can boast."

"Thanks... maybe we should sit." Brad offered, blushing and doing his best to not stare at his guest's chest. "Brian's always been fairly introspective, I suppose." He said as he turned to walk into the living room, to the plastic-covered couch.

The tiger followed. "It means that Brian and Madison aren't hiding anything from each other, either."

As he sat, the dik-dook tilted his head. "Uhm.... So... what happened to Brian and Madison? I have both sets of memories but I'm just... me." He placed his hooves on his knees. "I don't feel them separate in my head or anything, but you talk like they still are?"

MK sat down as well. "They are and they aren't. You are both but you are also... you. When Brian and Madison split, you won't be 'Brad' anymore. Does that make sense?" He smiled. "But that's not bad either. Brian and Madison will have all of your memories. And you can merge again. But the first time splitting is hard. That's why I was... well, kinda panicking before."

Brad took in this information, blinking slowly. He wasn't sure he followed. "How do you mean, hard?"

"Takes a strong force of will to separate people so entwined as you... usually a strong emotion, strong enough to overcome the desire that brought you together." The magenta feline explained as he took off his gloves. "But, a third party can also do it." He undid his jacket fully, starting to take it off. "If you let me, I can do it for you."

Blushing, the ferretalope stared at the larger male's clear chest and belly, having vivid memories of being on the other side of that surface... ones that pulled on a longing. "How would you do that?"

"I absorb you..." MK stroked along his chest meaningfully. "I can sort you back into Brian and Madison within me, and let you out separately."

Before he had even thought to answer coherently, Brad was sloughing in his seat, semi-solid as he poured his way towards the tiger with a needy bleat. He reached out, trying to just dive in.

Blushing deeply, the tiger extended his arms. "C'mere you two..." He murmured, pressing as much of his surface to the melty blue goo as he could and pulling. Immediately, surface tension broke, and magenta began to flow over the darker hue. At the same time, MK sluiced out of his snug vinyl pants and shoes, allowing all of himself to get up on the couch. A tiger's face formed around the hybrid's knees and tail, visibly swallowing for a moment, before everything melted together again.

Brad let go of coherence and just allowed himself to flow, being pulled upon wonderfully by the other flow of living gel. He felt similar to how Madison had when he was first changed... and again to when the new goo was spreading through Brian.

MK turned a rather muddy shade of purple as he mixed up with the hybrid. As he began to form back into his regular shape again, however, his color lightened and began to return to normal. It all turned clear again as it became apparent that he wasn't becoming bipedal again.

Soon, a feral magenta tiger was sprawled out on the plastic-covered couch, both forepaws on his round belly. He purred contentedly, closing his eyes. Slowly, MK began the process of sorting Brad out.... but for the time being he was enjoying having the hybrid to himself once again and for the first time.

Brian blushed purple. The gel ferret sat on the couch next to Madison. The dik-dik was blushing as deeply as his larger friend, fidgeting in place.

MK was finishing putting his clothes on, once again a muscular anthro. He looked over the purple mustelid and the cyan antelope fondly. "You two are okay, right?"

"Yeah." The ferret nodded bashfully, before looking down to Madison. "We should call Han." He muttered.

"Not David." Madison agreed, unable to quite make eye contact with the magenta male.

"Do you two have any further questions?" The tiger finished doing up his jacket.

"Could we get absorbed again sometime?" The dik-dik blurted out.

MK laughed, but it was a warm, deep chuff of affection. "Of course. It's a lot of fun." He pointed at each, mock-sternly. "Just not right now. Some other time."

"Of course." Brian blushed a bit, fidgeting in place.

"I'll hold you to that!" Madison stood up on the couch, planting his hooves on his hips.

Smiling with a bit of a blush of his own, the big tiger headed on out of the apartment. "Just call me if you need anything else."

Brian stared after MK as he walked out and closed the door. Hardly a moment after the door had shut; he turned to the grinning antelope, a giddy smile starting to creep up his cheeks. "So. Do you wanna get Han to drink us merged or one at a time?"
