#19 of Story Commissions

Story commission for S.A.M. revolving around his pony character; Sam, and his mate Minuette, when a mysterious dragon comes to their isolated island! Thank you for commissioning me!

Finally, somewhere new to find prey! Thought the alien dragon as their claws set down upon the dense jungle floor. So long flying across the ocean, this island has to be rich with life!

For weeks now the Xeno-drake had been soaring across the sea in what felt like a never-ending quest to find somewhere new they could call home, away from the tyranny of their old hive. No longer would they submit to the harsh rule of their queen or the grim reality of what their former masters would have them do. They'd battled storms, lightning, and waves high as mountains in their quest, and finally, it felt as if they'd reached the one tranquil corner of the world that was free of their past.

The island felt as far from the mainland as the moons in the night were from the sea, and after so long staring up at such celestial bodies while on the wing, it was comforting to know such isolation was permanent. It would take any hive years to look for them here, not that they were worth the effort, no queen would go so far out of their way just to reclaim one drone. Yet on the eve of brooding season, as Xeno was, the idea that they could start a hive here was also tantalizingly tempting.

A hive to grow, then go back and strike at the queen for all they did to me. Xeno wondered, yet their ideas of vengeance trailed off with a mellow sigh. Nah, what would it be worth? All I need to do is find prey and a mate... Hopefully in more of a willing way then the hive would have me do.

The dragon shifted at that, flexing their claws in the damp undergrowth as they did their best not to think about how the hive had gone about procreation. Hundreds of unwilling hosts cocooned and stuffed full with broods, while live prey was eaten alive by the sinister upper casts. The idea made the alien dragon shudder hard, all four eyes sealing tight in a disgusted wince for a moment before a rustling in the dense vegetation forced them open.

Xeno's head rose tall, plated spines shifting like chitinous rocks as their gaze leveled to peruse their surroundings. The island seemed to be mostly covered in thick jungle on its southern side, while it appeared that the northern part was more mountainous, with several rivers and lakes providing bastions of freshwater inland. Yet once down on the ground, the sprawling rainforest felt far more foreboding. Naught but tinted-green gloom, and the odd beam of radiant sunlight, broke up the endless corridors of overgrown tree trunks, hanging vines, and mottled undergrowth of tangled roots and fallen leaves.

Some trees were thick as Xeno was long, while others were cocooned in the tight grasp of strangling vines that made Xeno think far too much of their past. Among them peeked the odd spot of fiery red or blazing orange, as flowers bloomed in the few patches of sunlight. Their brightness contrasted by the bioluminescent glow of some blue and violet mosses lingering in the shadows. Flitting insects and scurrying lizards alike, shimmered with a cyan hue, making the whole place as alien to Xeno as they must be to other races. Of course, one thing that the dragon could relate too were the few carnivorous plants, many of which still had barely-visible prey digesting in their swollen pits.

How classy. Xeno thought, creeping over to where they'd heard the rustle in the bushes and stepping on a fly trap bold enough to snap at their foreleg. Now to find out what actually inhabits this island.

Very confident they were the largest, and most dangerous hunter for a thousand miles, Xeno loomed over the rustling undergrowth, peering down their rounded muzzle with four, sharp eyes. There was a shift in the assortment of ferns, shrubs, and sprouting saplings once more, before an odd chirp sounded right at the dragon's feet.

So the indigenous life is not that large? The dragon noted, and just like that a small, feathered creature boasting two hind legs and a pair of shorter forelimbs darted out of the green cover, only to slam into Xeno's leg. Looks rather tasty too... Urg... no, don't just try and eat everything!

Battling their instinct, as well as the desperation of their growling belly, Xeno winced and diverted their attention from the small creature. In the same instant, the miniature theropod glanced up at the dragon, ruffled its feathers in utter terror, and darted off as fast as it had arrived. Xeno glanced to see its tail vanish into the bushes a second later, letting out a weary sight as their scales began to glow a bright green and melt into a new form.

Let's not alert everything on this island that there's a big scary dragon about just yet. Their thoughts reasoned, giving into the one instinct that suggested their kind remain disguised as they took on the exact form of the dinosaur they'd just observed. Don't suspect the green eyes give it away too much?

Those emerald spheres, the only thing the magic of change fire could not morph from a xeno-drake's original form, stared back at Xeno as they inspected their reflection in a puddle of water. Blinking several times to once again acclimatize to the binocular point of view. Of course, that was when the now small dinosaur's stomach growled.

"Urg, you'll alert everything here with that hunger!" they outwardly hissed, shooting a scornful look at their tummy. "At least I'm not gravid yet, I'll have to find a host somewhere soon."

At that, the disguised drake took a step forward, only to sink far deeper into the puddle than they'd expected, and in a blundering stagger, they fell flat on their face.

Seriously!? The blunt thought radiated abruptly through Xeno's head, bouncing off the walls of their mind like an angry ping-pong ball as they dragged their muddy feathers from the dirt, and shook themselves off. How in the world is it that..

The small creature's thoughts were cut short as they glanced back to see the puddle was not just a puddle, but also part of a deep furrow in the thick mud. A furrow that was in the exact shape of a four-clawed foot. A very large foot.

Well, that's not mine. The disguised dragon noted, becoming pretty sure that they were not the only large hunter on the island anymore. I'll have to find a form like that soon, hopefully, become alpha... Their thoughts paused as an idea hit them. Or take an alpha as my mate... Hmmm, now that should be impressive.

At that, the devious notion to take the place of the island's top predator became very tempting, even if it was more akin to the hive lifestyle Xeno was trying to get away from. Nonetheless, they couldn't escape every aspect of their biology, even if they could be more considerate about it. Either way, to accomplish such a thing, they still had to find an alpha, or more accurately, the alpha could find them!

The ground shook before Xeno knew it, distant at first, but with each rumble, it grew closer. Trees started to rustle as an ominous wind blew as if feeling in the wake of what was to come with a whole host of smaller forest creatures. At that, the disguised dragon blinked, taking the fact that every other small creature in the forest was running for their life as a sign to turn tail as they too started running.

Just act like one of them and don't get eaten... You know it gets really messy when that happens. Xeno thought, not wishing to go through the process of suddenly devouring any predator foolish enough to try again as they saw light ahead. A clearing? Good, maybe I can get a good view of what they're all running from!

At that, Xeno darted into the cover of a fallen log, subtly modifying their body once more to mask their scent and blend into the rotten bark perfectly. All while trying to avoid the incessant bugs and large spiders that scurried away from them.

Urg stupid, unevolved insects! The dragon mentally hissed, well aware they'd more in common with the disgusting arthropods than the dinosaur they were masquerading as. I become ruler here and you'll see what real chitin looks like!

Regardless, the shuddering in the ground didn't halt, nor did the crashing of undergrowth and the toppling of trees. Yet as the flow of fleeing forest creatures seemed to slow, and only a few small, bird-like fuzz balls scurried in to share Xeno's cover, one last flustered sound was audible above the coming earthquake. It was the frantic beating of feathered wings, and it was getting close, very close.

What in the world is that? Xeno thought, peering up through a hole in the log to see a small, black-coated equine, with feathered wings, red mane, and an odd mark on his butt. Is that a horse?

Xeno recognized the favored prey of their old hive instantly. Drones and soldiers would raid whole villages of ponies and eat them for dinner. Yet this one was as far from home as the dragon.

"Haha, catch me now you..."

Evidently, the pony was not the most adept at survival. Like a fool, they struck a vine on their way into the clearing, almost taking their head clean off as they choked and were thrown into a frantic spin. Rolling mane over tail in the air, they spun like a cartwheel, until with a hard thud and a splatter of mud, they thudded to the ground.

Ouch, that looks like it's gotta hurt. Xeno thought with a wince, seeing the pony sit up and sway. Though, I think he's in for a lot worse.

Xeno had seen it all before, and like the footsteps of an angry god, the thundering grew closer. A huge, scaly foot crashed down just outside of Xeno's cover as the forest above erupted. Trees were torn down like frail twigs and foliage scattered like a green rain as the hulking theropod dinosaur smashed their way into the clearing, beady, yellow eyes fixed on the stunned pony.

"Oh, pony feathers!" declared the downed stallion as he spread his wings, only to wince as one of the feathered limbs bent painfully. "I... Wait, no... I can't fly!"

Xeno peered out from the cover of the log, having not seen something so hopeless in a long time as they regarded the huge hunter approaching the helpless pony.

Now that's a form I can take. The dragon thought, taking a step back as their eyes flashed green and their scales started to shift once more. Shame for the pony though...

The dragon paused, adopting the form of the huge hunter, albeit remaining only half its size to avoid attention for now.

I... I guess I could do something but... The disguised dragon glanced back, barely able to see the cowering equine, shivering as if he were caught in a harsh blizzard. No, no, I can't show my paw yet, I need to learn more about this place.

"H-hey... You look hungry... But... you're so big and strong I... You don't need to eat now, surly!" The pony stammered weakly as they did their best to squirm away from the looming predator. "I... No... you can't eat me!"

If they were capable of speech, the huge hunter didn't even give the pony the honor of a response. They merely licked their lips, opened their maw wide with a toothy grin, and posed ready to snap their muzzle shut on the pony.

"Gah! No... I don't want to be digested and..." The pony glanced at the monster's rump as he whimpered. "Become part of your fat ass, no, please don't!"

Oh, the pathetic pleading and whimpering, I remember this. Xeno thought as they turned to watch the situation play out. I can't interfere, I only promised I wouldn't eat prey like that... But I didn't say I'd stop an alpha...

Even so, Xeno blinked, thinking back to the huge footprint they'd seen in the mud. The beast that now had its open maw looming over the pony, strings of hot drool dribbling down on the equine's mane, its feet didn't match.

Wait, that thing's only got three toes, and it's missing a claw on one foot, it can't... As if on cue, a thunderous roar shook the forest to its foundations, birds scattering from the treetops as a sound like an avalanche surged towards the clearing.

The canopy shuddered as something huge barged its way through, the hunter posed to swallow the pony lifting its head just in time to glace as the tree line exploded in a flurry of toppling trunks and falling leaves. What erupted from the forest was larger still than the first hunter, sleek scales grey as thunder clouds and markings red as autumn leaves, the new predator didn't stop her momentum as she slammed into the first.

Now that's an alpha! Xeno recognized, marveling at the vast sail upon the newcomer's spine, her sleek, tooth-lined snout, and firm, muscular rump as she shoveled the pony away from the gargantuan tussle with a sweep of her slender tail. A form I can copy... A host for a brood!

Yet before any of that dream could be achieved, they had to avoid getting crushed, and jumped aside as the rear leg of the spinosaurus smashed through the fallen log, shoved back by the opposing hunter.

Okay, maybe getting into thicker cover is a good idea. Xeno reasoned, creeping back, yet still intent on watching as the spinosaurus regained the upper hand, clamping her jaws around the first hunter's neck, all while the pony cheered from the sidelines. Wait, why is he not running, she'll eat him too, right?

"Whoo, yeah, get him, Minuette!" hollered the pony regardless, flapping his good wing and raising a forehoof in support. "Kick his scaly tail into the volcano!"

There was a snort from the spinosaurus Xeno assumed was 'Minuette' as she shoved her aggressor into the mud, only for him to kick out and strike her hind legs, almost knocking her over.

"No, watch out!" called the pony, yet Minuette's legs stood firm as temple pillars as she lifted one claw and stomped it down on her aggressor's with a bone-shattering crunch, drawing a pained roar as the pony cheered. "Yes! Get him!"

He sure knows what side he's on. Xeno inwardly noted as Minuette made good use of her longer forelimbs, grappling the smaller predator, wrenching him up by the neck like a rag, and slamming him down muzzle first into the mud. Ouch, she really is strong... Such a perfect specimen!

At that, the pinned hunter gave a weak groan, yet his attacker wasn't done. She rolled him over, pressed a claw hard to his gut, and stood tall, unleashing a triumphant roar that rattled the very island to its bones.

"Yes, yes, you got him, love!" called the pony, jabbing his forehooves at the air as if punching some invisible foe. "You were like...Raww! And he was like, hiss... and then you took him by the neck and..."

Is this pony five years old or something? Xeno couldn't help wonder as Minuette leaned down to the equine. Oh well, here he gets eaten, I guess.

"Sam, I was so worried about you!" the alpha exclaimed, and Xeno blinked in confusion as she added. "What were you doing out here all alone?"

At that, the pony she'd identified as Sam blushed so hard it was a wonder the heat of his embarrassment couldn't be felt from the edge of the clearing. His feathers ruffled, and he rubbed the back of his drool-slick mane gingerly.

"Well, you know those flowers you told me you like..." He trailed off with an innocent smile, and Minuette cocked her head as he went on. "I was trying to get some."

"Oh, Sam, you shouldn't have come out here without me just for that!" she chastised, giving the hunter pinned under her a shove for good measure. "You know the rules, no traveling outside the cave without me, everything here wants to eat you!"

"Yes, yes, I know, I know..." Sam muttered like a pouty foal, as he huffed and his head drooped. "I mean... not everything wants to eat me." He shot the dinosaur a coy glance and she snorted.

"Oh, you flatter me, really," she declared, then nuzzled his cheek. "Now, you're coming back with me, and we're going to take a look at that wing, got it?"

"Fine, but it's fine really... I just twisted... Ouch!" Sam nodded, only to wince and yelp as he attempted to flex the bent limb. "Okay, so maybe it could be broken."

"Then I'll make sure to kiss it better," Minuette cooed as she drew back and gestured for him to take a seat on her back. "All aboard."

"Urm... Sweetie..." Sam muttered, nodding to his wing. "You're kinda tall when I can't fly."

Minuette blinked, then blushed hard.

"Oh... Oh... yeah, right!" she stammered, coiling her tail around Sam's midriff and gently placing him just behind her head. "Now hold on, we'll be home before nightfall."

"Sure thing, sweetie," Sam responded, yet not before he stole a moment to stick his tongue out at the predator pinned under his lover's claw. "Told you that you can't eat me!"

"Hehe, oh you," Minuette giggled, then shot a glare down at the bested monster. "He's right, try it again and I'll swallow you."

Her voice was low, level and calm, yet radiated an aura of terror that seemed to make the hunter gulp in utter fear. The effect it had on Xeno as the two left and the disguised dragon slowly began to mimic Minuette's form was far from the same however.

_Oh, I have found a new mate for sure! _

********

"Hey, Minuette, tell me you saw some of those weird dinosaurs creeping around before we got back?" Sam asked as he lay by the fire, a fresh bandage on his injured wing as he consumed a bowl of soup. "You know, the ones with the green eyes?"

"I'm sure it's just your mind playing tricks on you, love," Minuette reasoned as she made a nest for herself and settled down with a yawn. "I know every creature on this island, and none of them are like that."

"Huh, I guess," Sam responded with a shrug as he settled down. "Guess it's been a very stressful day. Anyway, goodnight, sweetie."

"Goodnight, love," Minuette muttered as she closed her eyes, leaving the pony to stare into the fire with an empty expression.

"Damn it, they're onto me," Xeno muttered under their breath as they ducked back down behind the ridge, still in the form of Minuette, only larger. "I have to move, but I can't just go in there and force her to mate, that makes me no better than the hive."

A growl from their belly, and Xeno knew they had little time before brooding season, not only that, but they were still hungry. On the flips side, destroying what Sam and Minuette had was also not on the agenda either.

Urg, it's always so hard! I see why the hive just captured prisoners and cocooned them now! Xeno inwardly hissed, dragging a foreclaw over their disguised face. Okay, so I just go in there and be friendly, it may take some time but I'll get them to come around.

At that, the dragon-turned spinosaurus stood up, revealing themselves in the light of the fire as they slowly moved to the cave mouth, only to pause when they saw Sam was no longer by the flames.

Wait... where is he? Xeno blinked, cocking their head as they wondered, at least until the clopping of hooves on a ledge to the left stole their attention.

"Hey, what are you doing!?" Sam asked, a stern look on his face as he glared. "I... I thought Minuette was the only one on this island?"

"Oh, hello there," Xeno purred, taking a step back and giving a curt bow. "You must be Sam? I've heard about you."

"Yeah, I'm Sam, the only pony here so I guess you'd know but..." The pegasus trailed off and jabbed a forehoof at Xeno. "Wait, you still didn't answer my question!"

"That's because I'm new here, and don't worry, I mean you no harm," Xeno assured, turning away to peer at the sleeping Minuette. "I've just come a long way to find one of my kind."

"So you won't try and eat me like every other carnivore here?" Sam questioned, ears flat and eyes narrowing, while Xeno chuckled, reassuring the pony that wasn't the case. "Well, then I guess we can be friends?"

"Sure, I'd love to be friends with the pony who seems to have stolen the heart of our last female," Xeno countered wittily, and Sam blinked.

"Oh... and you're male and..." The equine's brain seemed to crash and reboot as they added. "Ohhhh, the last male and female, you two want to... you know... Do what I can't..."

"What you can't? You mean you two have tried to have sex?" Xeno asked, trying not to sound too patronizing. "I'm sure I don't have to say why that won't work."

"No, no, I know... I mostly just lick her..." Sam sighed as he stood up and moved back down to the floor. "But I said if there was any way I could give her a family, I'd do it so... Maybe..."

He looked at the disguised dragon, scratching his chin with a forehoof. That moment of thought seemed to go on for a long time as Xeno glanced around somewhat awkwardly, at least until Sam announced.

"You know what? How about I ask her, she'll know what to do!" He moved to wake Minuette, poking her in the side as Xeno lurched forward and stammered.

"W-wait, no, no, you don't have to do that right now I..." It was far too late.

"Urg, Sam? What is it now?" Minuette moaned groggily as she opened one weary eye, only to be met by the beaming face of her equine mate. "If you want to snuggle just be careful I don't accidentally roll over, okay?"

"Well, snuggling is good but..." Sam smiled ear to ear. "How about a new friend for us?"

Minuette blinked, then snorted, before she lifted her head, looked around the cave, and her sleepy eyes popped wide as full moons.

"Urm... hi there," Xeno muttered with a small wave, and Minuette rose to her feet in stunned awe.

"A-another like me... But... here, no, they all disappeared," she stammered. "I... I... What!?"

"Well, not exactly like you, but close... At least for now," Xeno reasoned, peering at her with lidded eyes. "Why, do you not like that idea?"

Minuette's tail swished, and the pungent smell of arousal starting to fill the room seemed to knock Sam right off his hooves.

"Oh... Sweetie, you smell great," the pony slurred, swaying as if drunk with love. "I... I was just thinking, even if we can't have kids at least we... Could kinda have a family in some way?"

A brood, but that brood could just morph to look like her. Either way, she's the perfect mate. Xeno thought, pleased that Sam seemed to agree.

"S-Sam I... We can't, and you shouldn't just assume you can fix it!" Minuette suddenly hissed, glaring down at her mate. "This, this is too much! Sam, get under your safe ledge, out of reach. I... I need to get out and think I..."

The spinosaurus shot to her feet, and marched over, shoving Xeno aside as she declared.

"And you!" She jabbed a claw at the imposter's chest. "You can't be real!"

At that she stomped off into the night, rumbling footsteps and crashing trees signaling her retreat deep into the jungle.

"Oh no, I made her mad again!" Sam whined, flopping to the floor. "I was just trying to help her."

"I... No, it's not you, I..." Xeno started to respond, then huffed. "I think I should be more straight with her... You see, if I did do what you suggest, the babies would be kinda... Not like her."

"Either way, she'd have what she wants, and I'd be there to help her I..." Sam huffed, stomped a forehoof, and stormed off. "I'm going to sleep. Hopefully, she comes back before dawn!"

Well, that could have gone better. Xeno thought as they flopped down with a huff. The last thing I want to do is ruin this, but I need a mate so bad and... There was a low growl in the dragon's belly. And I'm running out of time!

********

The small, black-coated pegasus with red mane ran for his life before the looming eyes of Xeno as the dragon soared overhead, licking their lips.

Oh, he thinks he can escape, how cute! Xeno thought as they swooped in low and readied their maw. He's never faced a predator like me!

Like a coiled harpoon, Xeno's long, sticky tongue shot out, whipping through the air with a crack akin to lightning as it struck Sam's hind leg and wrapped around it.

"Gah, no!" the poor, defenseless pony called out in pure terror as he was yanked into the sky like no more than a moth on flypaper. "No, let me go!"

Struggling, how adorable. Xeno inwardly mused as they landed with a heavy thud and Sam was slowly heaved up into their maw. Now to have some fun.

The helpless equine grunted and huffed, struggling to get away as he was rolled and tossed around the dragon's huge, green maw. Yet venomous fangs and a tongue coiled like a python around him, there was no way Sam could escape as he was turned head first to Xeno's gullet, and with a nudge of his rump, edged deeper.

Muffled calls for help were all that were audible within Xeno's stuffed gullet as the huge bump of Sam's squirming body rolled down the dragon's expansive throat. Purring all the while, Xeno roiled in the blissful sensation of prey passing their crop, before being squeezed into the pit of their first stomach. Their insides were so tight, yet each kick or shove from the yummy pony was like that of new life swelling within. Soon the equine would be broken down, their fat added to the dragon's round rump or reprocessed into a new brood so the young Xeno-drakes may carry on Sam's legacy.

Either way, with a tight plop, and roll of growling muscles, Sam was tossed around Xeno's first stomach like a ball, coated in thick fluids before a yawning sphincter squeezed the pony deeper, finally landing in the digestive bile of the second gut. All the while the bloated dragon rubbed the kicking bump as if pregnant with an unborn foal, purring in blissful ecstasy at the arousing sensation, before a swelling of gas forced them to belch up feathers.

"Oh, excuse me," Xeno grunted, each cramp and twitch within one of pleasure. "Enjoy what time you have left in there, little pony."

There was a hard kick from within as Xeno felt the walls of their gut grow tighter, wrapping around the prey like a constricting snake as more digestive juices seeped inward. Yet no matter how hard Sam struggled, Xeno's body adapted, allowing the dragon to make the most of the arousing process.

Oh, now I know why they did this in the hive so much. Xeno thought, loving the sensation of utter power over their prey. Soon he'll be one with me, maybe I'll steal his form, spend some time with that sexy spino he calls a mate!

"You know? You should be glad to become one with a dragon such as I," Xeno declared, one paw running over their bulging belly lovingly.

"Oh yes, I will be forever grateful to be digested alive and become no more than fat on your hips!" Sam hissed bitterly, as he did his best to shove back up Xeno's throat, to no avail.

"Hmm, what a fitting fate," Xeno purred, peering over the vast bump in their midsection to their plump ass.

"No... No fate... I don't want that!" Sam called, but the dragon merely craned their head to lick the wriggling bump in their belly. "Ahh, no... Please stop... let me... Gah!"

Hmmm, such a lively meal, he'll learn to love me soon enough, know how it feels to be part of my fat ass! Xeno inwardly purred as they continued to lick. The same ass that I can use woo his spiney lover, let her know she's close to him when I cocoon her and shove it in her face!

Either way, the hard day of hunting and digestion caught up with the dragon soon after, and with a yawn, they drew back.

"Okay, food, I'm going to rest now. You just... Digest." That last word dripped from Xeno's tongue like venom as they lay their head down to sleep.

Yet as they did so, flashes of Sam locked in a tight green prison of flesh and bile kept coursing through their mind. Seeing the pony watching his melting forehoof in horror as he dissolved into naught but a jelly-like blob to be absorbed. Before long Sam was gone and Xeno's belly growled happily as the dragon awoke, yawned, and cupped their fat ass.

"A very fitting fate indeed!"

********

"W-what no!" Xeno woke up with a lurch, false spine scraping the cave roof as they fumbled over their theropod body. "I didn't, I couldn't... I don't eat... Not like them!"

The disguised dragon cupped their scaly belly, only to find that their spinosaurus form was slim as ever, not filled with a yummy pony.

I... Oh, thank the hive! Xeno thought, letting out a long breath of relief, before they corrected. Wait no, screw the hive, they eat ponies alive!

"Nightmares?" A recognizable voice asked, and Xeno almost smacked their head on the cave roof as they turned to see Sam sitting at the cave mouth. "I get them a lot too, so many things want to eat me out here it's hard not to."

Very poor choice of words, Sam. Xeno thought with a wince, yet shuffled over to sit by the pony nonetheless. Either way, what does it matter? He's here and safe. Not in my belly!

"I take it Minuette's not back yet?" the disguised dragon asked, and Sam shook his head.

"No, she'll most likely be out all night," he admitted, then shrugged. "But I wouldn't worry about her, she's queen of the island, she'll be fine."

"But it looks like you do worry about her?" Xeno observed, and Sam hid his blush with a wing as he confessed.

"Yeah, because I love her." There was a moment of quiet filled only by the chirping of jungle life, before the pony added. "And I want to have kids with her, but can't."

"Hey, you know how you seemed to think I could before?" the emerald-eyed spinosaurus asked, and Sam nodded. "Well, I can but... I'm not like her... My kind only mimics others to capture mates but... Well, I don't want to come between you two."

"Ha, I know you're not like her. You were following us back here, I saw your eyes all over," Sam admitted and Xeno blushed, but not before the pony continued. "She knows it too, we're not dumb. But I know she also likes it... She wants kids with someone, so maybe you two could do it."

"Either way, I feel like it'll take a lot of convincing," Xeno responded with a sigh, but Sam chuckled.

"Sure it might, but I convinced her not to eat me the first time we met, and now she's my mate!" he joked, ruffling a wing. "She'll learn to love you... Besides, a three-way doesn't sound that bad."

"You really have a thing for big mates, don't you?" Xeno asked wryly, and Sam blushed once more as he added.

"Well, Yeah but... I love Minuette for who she is, not what she is." He made that very clear with his expression alone as Xeno smiled and added.

"I know, it really shows." The disguised dragon looked to where the stars met the sea on the distant horizon. "That's why, after all this time, I think she's the
