Been a while since I posted here and I am a bit sorry about that. I have been dealing with my father's passing, my sister being attacked by her ex and her being sick from several operations. I have moved and started college. And I wanted to finish this after i started it. So thank you and Special Thanks to furcenary for editing. I hope to write more storys for the good people of SoFurry.com, formaly YiffStar.com.

Fara was slowly opening her eyes. She saw the dawn sun, slowly rising. Her head laid on Tails' chest, watching the sun rise and smelling Tails gentle musk for a few minutes before lifting her head and nudging Tails awake. The twin tailed fox slowly opened his eyes to the sight of Fara and smiled.

"Look at how beautiful that is." she said to him, point at the sunrise.

"I see something more beautiful" he replied with a smirk on his face.

Fara turned around and kissed him on the cheek and rested her head on Tail's shoulder and chest. They held each other in their arms till the sun fully blossomed into a new day.

Fara then realized she had been out all night with out her older brother's permission and quickly said "I need to get to the truck!". She lifted her self off Tails again. "Ral-Rak will be mad when he wakes up and finds me still gone."

They both go up and stretched a bit. Tails gather up the blankets while Fara flew down into the house. She cleaned up the milk and cookies from last night. Tails flew down soon afterward and found Fara Cleaning.

"You don't need to do that. Thank you though." Tails said smiling as he walk to his bedroom.

He quickly exit the bedroom and suggested "We should take the tram, it will be quieter than a jet.".

Fara simply nodded and followed Tails to the Tram. Tails fiddled with the controls while Fara sat down and cleaned herself up a bit. They rolled on till they reached a stop and they disembarked. The truck was about 300 yards away.

Fara gave Tails another kiss on the cheek and said "See you soon.".

Tails watched her run for the truck for a bit before jumping in the tram and heading back home.

It was a bit before Fara reached the truck. She quietly crept in. She noticed Ral-Rak lying on the table's bench and slowly passed him, trying not to make a sound. She went into a small room with a bed and started to take her shoes off. She then felt a wind on the back of her neck. She turned around to find a horrifying light blue face with dark red eyes, long fangs, and a long snout.

"RAAAAAAWWW!" the creature roared as Fara fell to the ground with her arms crossed.

"That's what you get for staying out all night." The creature said in a familiar voice.

When Fara finally did peek form under her arms, she saw the creature waving his hand in front of it's face to reveal Ral-Rak.

"YOUR A JERK!" Fara yelled.

Ral-Rak just smiled and said "That's what you get for staying out all night.".

He walked out of sight and started to fill a pot with water. "What do you want for breakfast? We have Oatmeal and rice I can spice up a bit.".

Fara stood quiet for a second and said "Oatmeal I guess.....Jerk.". She lifted her self up and put on her shoes before stepping out of her room and sitting at the table that Ral-Rak was sleeping at.

"How is your shoulder?" She asked.

"It's fine. Still going to take a while to heal." Ral-Rak replied fiddling around in the kitchen. "Do you want to live here?" he asked with his head in a cabinet.

She though about it for a monument and said "I would like to live here.".

"Then a few things need to be done first" he said placing a bowl of oatmeal and a cup of Tea in front of her. "Like if you are going to live with me or by yourself.".

She gave a strange look at him and said "What?"

"I believe your old enough now to make that choice. Your welcome to live with me, or by yourself. I will help you build your house if need be." he said grabbing his own bowl and cup.

She wondered the possibility for a second when she finally said "I want to try living by myself. But will you visit me?".

Ral-Rak took a small sip of his tea and answered "Why wouldn't I? I suggest we get started on designs then. We also have bigger fish to fry remember."

"What do you mean?" she asked with a spoonful of oatmeal about to enter her mouth.

Ral-Rak ate the oatmeal in his mouth and said "The dam and factory remember? And we will need a source of income, and food! This is pretty much the last of the food now. Used up most of it last night for that feast. Contacting Luke and the rest of the group to let them know what up.".

"Contacting them might be a problem. I think the radio got shot up when the 2734 went nuts. Maybe Tails can help with that. And what do you mean we have almost no food left?" she asked with a worried look.

"Dammit! I spent a mouth building that radio. Finding all the parts is hard on the road." Ral-Rak said disappointed. "The food part was partly my fault, okay? It's not like we used this truck since the last place was made. Most of the food we have now is whats left of that oatmeal, rice, leftovers and water. Most of that was used up last night, like I said. They saved us and I thought they needed the food. And we did need them. We do need them.".

They ate their breakfast quietly until Fara asked "What do they think of us building here?".

"They seem to like the idea of us staying from what they said last night. We can start a new home here." he said placing his bowl in the sink along with the pots.

"That's good." Fara replied.

Tails had headed home and sat himself down for breakfast and to write in his journal.

He open his journal to the nearest empty page and wrote "Dear Journal, yesterday I made some new friends. Their names are Fara and Ral-Rak. They came out of no where being chased by a giant robot that they built.".

Tails stopped writing and thought "Why does this seem like deja vu to me?", and started to search the previous pages for an answer.

He found it seconds later reading the page "It has been a long day. Sonic defeated an alien from space trying to get the emeralds. Sonic threw the emeralds into space so the alien would not get them. Soon after, a plant girl fell to the ground form space, saying she was looking for Sonic. Her name was Cosmo...". Tails did not read the rest of the page. Instead he looked blankly at the book for a bit, trying to register what had happen and what was happening. He threw the book away and covered his face. Tears started to form around his eyes and fell though his fingers.

"Not again." he said to the empty room. "Please not again!" he then cried. "Just....Why?" he said taking a deep breath, trying to compose himself.

"Because that life." said a familial voice, placing a hand on Tails' shoulder.

"Cosmo?" Tails said turning around with tears in his eyes.

"I said I would be beside you if you needed me." Cosmo said.

"Cosmo....I'm sorry." Tails said as he hung his head in shame of the deed he did.

"I'm sorry also Tails, for putting you in that situation, But I know you understand what I had to do and why. There is a bigger problem here though, you. Blaming yourself is not healthy Tails and now your thinking of pushing away your new friends so you wont get hurt. Why?" Cosmo asked.

"I'm afraid of losing them as friends. I like them a lot but I don't want to get hurt again. A girl like you almost never comes around to a guy like me and if I had to do the same thing I did with you again, I don't know what I'll do.." emitted tails who finally looked up at Cosmo.

"Tails....there is an old saying, "You can not know joy unless you know sorrow". That's why you were so happy when you met Fara. You know the difference and that's more that most can say." said Cosmo.

Tails looked up and said "Your right. Thank you for this and for your forgiveness.".

Cosmo smiled and formed into a ball of light which then dissipated. Tails sighed and looked to his journal saying "Just please, not again.".

Fara had already started designs on her house while Ral-Rak was contemplating his problems. He knew he and Fara could not live in the truck very long and he would need a lot of resources to build the houses and lab. He thought the Master Emerald might help but that needed repairs as well, more than he can do by himself. The dam was a problem at his village also and would require assistants on that too.

Suddenly there was a knock on the back door Ral-Rak opened the door to reveal Amy, Cream, Cheese, Vanilla, and a white female bat.

"Hello Ladies. This is a nice surprise. What can I do for ya?" Ral-Rak said.

"Hi Ral-Rak. Is Fara here?" said Amy.

"Why yes she is. Come on in." Ral-Rak said stepping aside to let the group in.

As the group walked in Ral-Rak gave his attention to the white bat and said "I don't think we have met yet. The name is Ral-Rak." he said with a smile and holding his hand out for a shake.

"The name is Rouge, honey." she said not taking his hand but instead, giving him a quick once over and then asking "What happened to your chest?".

"Oh just some friendly fire. I should cover this up now. Don't want to gross you ladies out with that nasty wound now, do I?" Ral-Rak said putting on his cloak.

"What brings you guys here?" Fara asked shuffling her designs into a neat pile.

"We came to ask if you wanted to come with us for a girls day out. You know, shopping, a movie, and gossip. You want to come?" Amy said .

Fara look to Ral-Rak and asked "Can I?"

Ral-Rak though about it for a second and said "We are going to need some supplies and your going to need some clothes anyway so yeah and oh..." Ral-Rak paused and walked to the front of the truck and walked back after a few seconds with a small piece of paper and money in hand. "Pick up the things for me on this list also. Just buy the supplies first also and don't go too wild on the clothes shopping also." he said handing Fara the list and cash.

Fara nodded and smiled saying "Thanks big brother!".

Vanilla looked down to her daughter, Cream, and tapped her on the shoulder. Cream looked up and her mother asked "Would you like to ask them, dear?".

"Ask us what?" Fara responded.

Cream stepped forward and said "Would you like to live with us? We have plenty of room and food for both of you.".

Fara looked at Ral-Rak and asked "Can we?".

Ral-Rak thought about it for a second and said to Cream "We will love to come live with you." patting her on the head then turning his head up to Vanilla and then saying "Thank you." with a gentle smile.

"Your welcome you two." said Vanilla.

"Hey guys. We got to get going. The stores are going to start the sales soon." said Amy.

Then you girls better get going. And before its too late, take this also Fara." Said Ral-Rak walking to his satchel, hanging by the door.

He walked back to Fara and handed her a large marble.

"Get this size and have fun." he said.

Fara smiled and said "Okay, lets go girls!" and ran with Amy, Cream and Cheese outside.

Thank you again miss Vanilla." Ral-Rak said with a bow.

"No problem dear. The key is under the mat if you want to go now." Vanilla said, then leaving the truck to round up the girls.

"Nice meeting you also Rouge." Ral-Rak said with a smile.

Rouge turned sideways to Ral-Rak with her head still facing him, extended her wings a bit, cocked her head and winked with a smirk. "Nice meeting you too, honey." before walking out of the truck.

Ral-Rak smiled to himself and examined the radio. It was shot up but could still transmit for short range after a bit of fixing. He turned the knobs and dials to the frequency of the Tornado-X that Tails had given him at the house touring.

"Hey Tails. You there? Over." he called into the radio.

Tails was in his work shop working on some repairs when he heard the call. "Yeah, I'm here. Is this Ral-Rak? Over."

"Sure is Tails. I was wondering if you had a long wave radio I could use? Ours here is pretty shot up. Over." said Ral-Rak.

"Yeah. You can use mine. I will right over in the Tornado in just a bit. Over" said Tails.

Ral-Rak shifted uncomfortably before responding. "Could we take your tram instead? I really don't like heights. Over.".

"Oh yeah, forgot about that. We can take the tram. No problem. Be there in a bit. I have a stop, not far from you. Over." said Tails.

"Then I shall wait for you then. Thanks. Over and out." Ral-Rak said. He grabbed his satchel and equipment off the hooks on the wall and waited on top of the truck. It was only a couple of minuets before Tails finally opened the door of the mountain into his tunnel. Ral-Rak jumped off the truck and ran over.

"Ready?" Tails said.

"Ready." said Ral-Rak who was a bit winded from his run.

They both hopped into the tram and took off for tails place.

"So.... you guys like it here?" Tails asked, trying to be polite.

"Yeah. We are thinking of settling down here instead of rebuilding back at the village we came from. Fara has even started designing her own house this morning" said Ral-Rak.

"Well I'm glad that you and Fara will be living here then. Where is Fara?" Tails said with a smile.

"Amy, Cream, Vanilla, Cheese, and a girl named Rouge came by the truck a little bit before I called you. They are taking Fara out shopping on a girl's day outing. I don't know when they will be back." said Ral-Rak.

When they arrived, they went into Tail's hanger where many of his gadgets were, including his long wave radio. Tails gestured for Ral-Rak to sit.

Ral-Rak complied and started to fumble with the radio. Flicking switches and turning dials. He eventuality input the frequency and said "Double R to L2. Can you read? Over."

A minuet passed with only static when he repeated him self. "This is Double R to L2! Can you read? Over.". A fear was starting to pass over him until the static broke.

"This is L2. Is that you Double R? Over!".

"L2, let me secure the signal.". Ral-Rak said. He flip some switches and then said "Luke, you there? Over.".

"BY THE GODS, RAL-RAK! YOUR ALIVE! Be right back!". Said Luke.

"Well, he is happy that...." Tails said but was cut off by the radio.

"HEY EVERYONE! RAL-RAK IS ALIVE. THE BLACK MAGIC PSYCHO IS ALIVE!" said a voice yelling faintly thought he radio.

Ral-Rak and Tails just smiled, barely containing the laughter they were choking back.

"Ral-Rak, it's Sharp. Are you and Fara Okay? Over.". Said Sharp loudly over the voices in the back, but forgetting to switch the radio to receive mode.

"Hey Sharp?" said a voice in the back.

"Not now." said Sharp.

"But Sharp, this is kind of important." said the voice in the back again.

"I said, not now!" said Sharp again,

"No Sharp, listen!" said the voice in the back again.

"FINE! What is so freaking important!" said Sharp.

"The radio is on transmit. You need to switch it over to receive. Dumbass." said the voice in the back for a last time.

"Me and Fara made it. I just have a shoulder and chest wound. Fara is okay. How are things at your end? Did Robotnik find ya? Over." said Ral-Rak.

"All fine here. No one hurt and Robotnik is scouring the area. But we can evade them. How did this happen? Over." said Sharp.

"Well, lets just say that a mistake was made, the bot went haywire, and now we have to rebuild the robot. Good news though. Fara and I and staying with these very nice people who also hate Robotnik. They are strong enough to defeat the robot. And remember those magic gems I use? Apparently they are called Chaos Emerald. The main emerald is here also, called the Master Emerald. We now are trying to figure out what to do now. We are still going to help but way out here is.....hard to figure out what can we do. Over." said Ral-Rak.

"Well...shoot. We got to think of something then." said Sharp. "We can't leave our brethren behind like that." said a voice in the back. "Just regroup yourself on your end and we will do the same here. Over" said Luke back on the radio.

"Will do. And Luke, If you ever call me the Black Magic Psycho again.... I tell your little secrete." said Ral-Rak.

"Ummmm.... Understood. We will just leave the radio on till we talk again. This is L7 over and out."

"And this is a spooky ghost" said a voice in the background before the radio was turned off.

Ral-Rak sighed and turned to Tails to say "Thanks again. Is there anything I can do in return?".

Tails though for a second and asked "Is it okay if I barrow an emerald for a while?".

"One of the emeralds is both your and Sonic's..... so of course." said Ral-Rak as he reached into his satchel for the other emerald. "Here you go. Enjoy."

"Cool. You want to wait in the hanger? This project is kind of secret." asked Tails.

"Okay, just call me if you need help." said Ral-Rak who then walked out the door.

The girls were walking out of toy store with the marbles that Ral-Rak had requested.

"Why does he need those things anyway?" asked Rouge.

"For Enchanting. He enchants them. But I really should not really talk about it that much. He has asked me before not to talk about it." explained Fara.

"What enchantments dose he put on them." asked Amy.

"Smoke producers, Flashers, and what ever comes to his mind I suppose. Now we just need bandages and we should be all set." said Fara.

"We have lots at home. We could give you some." offered Cream.

"Really? Then Ral-Rak has everything he needs." said Fara.

"Then its your turn. Lets start at that store." said Amy.

The girls went into the store and slowly spread out to find their clothes.

"This would look nice on you Cream" said Fara pulling out a pair of blue overalls with a yellow and pink emblem on the chest.

Rouge found a black trench coat with a fadora hat that suited her quiet well. Fara grabbed a few yellow tank tops for working.

"Hey Fara, check this out." Amy said from the dress section of the store. Fara went top the sound of the voice to find Amy holding a light yellow dress.

"I love it!" Fara said gently grabbing the dress.

Amy found a dress for herself. A a red dress with blue trimming. Fara was trying to find some brown cargo shorts with her yellow tank top when she saw a green pair of pants with a green t-shirt and bandana with a red stripe running down the sides on a floor plaster model. he looked for the outfit but could not find it. She went on for her search for the brown cargo shorts. The girls searched the store for a bit longer until they bought their things and left for the next shop.

The shop was down a few blocks so Amy thought it was a good time "ask" Fara a question.

"So Fara. What with it between you and Tails?" Amy asked, catching Fara off guard.

Fara started to turn a light shade of red and was slowly wrapping her self with her long tail when she quickly replied "What? I don't know what your talking about!".

"Oh come on! The way you and Tails were talking yesterday. You practically raced to his side and held his hand on the tram ride to his house." said Amy looking directly at Fara.

"That was nothing!" Fara spouted out, still turning red and wrapping herself with her tail.

"Then what about when you "lost" a bracelet that you were not even wearing?" ask Amy.

Fara could not speak. She was caught in Amy's interrogation and they now knew about it. It was not till Cream spoke up that Fara let down her guard and her tail a bit.

"It's okay Fara! Tails like you a lot also." Said Cream.

Fara loosened up her tail from around her and said "What?".

"When we were making dinner yesterday. Tails kept asking if we thought you might like the food." Cream explained.

"Really?" said Fara, who's face lite up in enjoyment of the news that Tails worried about her also.

"Oh! So you do like him." said Rouge causing Fara to wrap her tail back around her.

Ral-Rak was looking around the hanger as Tails did his project. He soon discovered some broken down cargo ships. On the wall near by was the schematics of the ships themselves on a work bench with some parts next to them.

"Whats wrong with theses cargo ships?" Ral-Rak yelled.

"The power converters are shot and some other basic problems. I should be repairing them now but from the last few days, I need a short break. They have clipboards on the front seats describing the problems if your that curious." Yelled Tails back. Tails was now just putting the emerald in a tank and started to type into the computer near by.

Ral-Rak grabbed the converters and the schematics and walked to the cargo ships. He grabbed the first clipboard from the seat and read : Broken Power Converter, Radiator Leak. "Easy enough" Ral-Rak thought to himself as he looked at the schematics. He grabbed his staff and the power converter. He then said "Pona-co-may-far" causing the ship and part to glow a cobalt blue. The part went onto the hood of the ship and sank into the coagulated system of the ship. One second later and the old power converter rose up from the hood and into Ral-Rak's hand. Ral-Rak poked his head inside and inspected his work. The seals and wiring was solid and the radiator had no sighs that it ever leaked in the first place. He continued his work until he was finished with all the ships. He felt faint but still started to clean up the little mess he made.

Tails finally walked out and found Ral-Rak moving the boxes back and asked "What are you doing?".

"I fixed the cargo ships for ya. The old parts are in the new boxes." said Ral-Rak who turned from the bench to Tails.

"There is no way you could have done that in only...." Tails paused to look at his watch," 45 minuets. Power converters take hours to get to and set up. How?"

"I have a odd way with magic and machines. I don't need magic to build machines but I can if I want to. As long as I know what I'm doing, I can do it. The only thing I need is the parts and energy. Equal exchange must happens also. You had the parts here and I had the energy so I could do it. But if you don't have the parts and I still try, then there is a problem." explained Ral-Rak as he started to wash his hands.

"Well what that?" Tails asked, now curious how his magic worked.

"Well I can still try to fix it but the part could come from anywhere and will take more energy from me. It could be better, or worse. It could be on a shelf, or being use in a plane on mid flight. So I don't try that way unless need be. " said Ral-Rak. He started to walk but almost fell, catching himself on the cargo ship.

"Are you alright?" Tails asked as he rushed to Ral-Rak's side.

"I'm....I'm fine. I just need to rest for a bit." Ral-Rak said. Tails guided him to some chairs in the corner of his hanger.

"Let me get you something to eat." Tails said leaving in a hurry. He came back down with a sandwich, an apple, some water and some cookies that Fara had made.

"Thank you. Just a bit of energy shock." Ral-Rak said as he grabbed the water.

"What?" Tails asked.

"Oh. Well I used up a bit of energy from fixing your ships and lost a good chunk when I lent you that emerald." Said Ral-Rak as he take a gulp of water.

"Do you want the Emerald back?" Tails asked question.

"No. It's fine. I just need a couple of minuets. You sure you don't want to tell me what your working on?" Ral-Rak said with a slight grin.

"No. Just rest up here, I got to make a few calls." Tails said as he walked up the stairs. He made his way to his phone and started calling from his phone book. The phone rang only once before the other side picked up.

"Hello. Gary's Delivery. How may I help you?" a voice said.

"Hello, This is Tails. Is Gary there?" Tails asked.

"Hello Tails, Yes Mr. Fisher is here. Just a moment and I'll redirect your call." the voice said as the line switched over. There was silence for a few seconds before a new voice came on.

"Hello, Gary's Delivery. This is Gary." said Gary.

"Hey Gary! It's Tails. I got your trucks fixed now." Tails said.

"How did ya swing that?" Gary asked in a confused tone.

"I got some new talent in the shop. Did you here the explosions yesterday?"

"Scared everyone in the city. Something about a giant robot, I heard. What do you know about that?" Gary asked.

"I got the guy who built the giant robot. The bot blew a circuit and went haywire. The guy is a.....tech whiz of sorts. He got the job done in no time flat. Want to send someone over to pick up the trucks?" Tails explained.

"Well as long as the job is done. I will send the funds to your account in a bit and send someone in a bit to pick up the trucks. Anything else we should know?" asked Gary.

"Could you send a courier to the bank and have him come back here? I have to make a call to the bank first though." Tails asked.

"No problem. See you later and thanks." Gary said.

"Your welcome and thanks." Tails said hanging up and then picking up the phone again to make another call.

"Hello, K.T. bank. How may I help you? A banker said.

"Hello, This is Miles Prowler. I just need to make a gift card withdraw." Said Tails.

"Okay, your account number please?" the banker said.

"227568943." said Tails.

"Just a sec....... okay and how much would you like to take out of your account?" the banker said.

"4000 please. I'm having a courier pick it up soon from Gary's Delivery."

"Okay Mr. Prowler, anything else?" the banker asked.

"No, that should be it." Tails said.

"Then have a nice day then, Mr. Prowler." said the banker.

Tails hung up the phone and went down stairs to Ral-Rak. Ral-Rak was already done with the snack and regained much of his lost strength.

"How would you like a job here?" Tails asked.

Ral-Rak was quite surprised from this sudden offer then said "Umm....I guess, let me ask this first. What brought this up.".

Tails said "I need work done and your magic can help me, help many tremendously here. our allowed to use my shop for free and I can get you parts discounted.".

"Okay then. When do I start?" said Ral-Rak. He needed the money, no matter what the pay was.

Tails smiled and said "Great! You can start after you rescue your friends. Now lets go over to Sonic's place."

Ral-Rak smiled and replied "Sounds fun. But I saw that odd house the other day across the field. Do you think we could check that out?".

"Sure, Knuckles works there. We could invite him to hang out with us." Tails suggested. The 2 used the hanger door and walked over.

The two did not talk on the walk over. Ral-Rak was constantly looking over at his blown up robot. A few ideas ran though the head of the black fox but even when they did reach Team Chaotix is final thoughts were "That might work but ...". Ral-Rak's final thoughts were interrupted when the door opened.

A large Alligator looked down at the 2 and said "TAILS! Great to see ya again. Who's your friend here?".

Tails replied "Hey Vector. Nice to see you too. This is Ral-Rak.".

Ral-Rak held out his hand and said "Nice to meet you. Quite an interesting look to your place here. I like it." finishing his words with a smile.

Vector smiled back and said "Thanks. Welcome to Team Chaotix's Detective agency. Come in you two.".

The two walk into a office like area before coming up to the stairs which a young bee at standing atop of.

The bee then said "Hey Tails.", then turned around and shouted "Espio wake up! We have guests.".

Ral-Rak smiled and waved. "Hi. The name's Ral-Rak.".

The bee flew the the stairs to Ral-Rak and said "My name is Charmy. Nice to meet you."

Knuckles appeared at the top of the stairs, shouting down "Hey guys! I'll be down in a bit, I just have to paper work to finish up.".

Ral-Rak looked back at the bee and asked "Did you say the name Espio before?".

Charmy cocked his head and said "Yeah. Why?".

A purple chameleon suddenly appeared behind Charmy and yawned. Hey rubbed his eyes for a second and said "Hey Tails. Who is this?".

"Hey Espio. This is Ral-Rak." said Tails.

Espio looked a Ral-Rak for a monument and said "Do I know you?".

Ral-Rak took a second before responding with a sinister grin and a fire ball in hand.

Espio was shocked for a second before realizing the gesture and sticking his hand out for greetings. "Eric! Long time no see!"Shouted Espio.

"I thought that was you when Charmy said your name! How have you been man?" Said Ral-Rak taking Espio's hand and giving it a shake.

"Doing well my friend. I got a job here being a detective. How are you my friend and what are you doing all the way out here? I have not seen you since you left the school for your magic training." said Espio who was taking his hand back.

"It's kind of a long story of how I got here. Basically my friends and I made a deal with a man named Dr. Robotnik. I took my reward form the deal and left but my friends made another deal with him and were captured, and are now forced to make war bots for him. Some accepted and we planned to free the others using a war bot made of stolen parts. My sister reprogrammed the war bot we made and it chased us here. Sonic and Tails saved us. But now me and my sister and kind of in a rock and hard place." explained Ral-Rak. Everyone was quiet for a bit before Ral-Rak broke the silence by saying "Yep.".

"That's quiet a story you got there Eric. I didn't know that you had a sister." said Espio.

"Yeah, and I have a father too but I haven't seen him in while...... Nothing bad happened. Just have not seen him in a while." said Ral-Rak in a slightly sad tone. "But what is done is done." he then said with a instant smile.

Knuckles reappeared at the top of the stair saying "Well that all my paper work done.".

"Good. You want to hang out with me and Ral-Rak and Sonic?" ask Tails. He turned his head to Victor and asked "Do you guys want to come too?".

"Sure we love to go with. We don't really have anymore work for today". said Victor.

"Should we leave a note for Rouge in case she comes back?" suggested Charmy.

"Naa. It's her day off. She wont be back until tomorrow." said Victor opening the door.

"Do you mean that bat with the black and pink jumpsuit? I met her this morning. She works for you?" asked Ral-Rak.

"She the one." said Victor.

After everyone walked out, Victor locked the door behind them. Espio asked "So your name is Ral-Rak now?".

"Yeah, I didn't know your name was Eric. Whats with that?" asked Knuckles.

"Well my birth name is Eric. My mage name is Ral-Rak...and Orion but I don't go by that name any more. You can call me Eric if you want but Ral-Rak is more proper." explained Ral-Rak.

"How is it more proper?" asked Charmy.

"Well....It's kind of like this. A doctor can have the name John Smith, right. But you still call him Dr. Smith or Dr. John Smith. You can still call him John if your family, friend or if he is off duty." said Ral-Rak

"Oh, so your father or sister can call you Eric but for formalities your Ral-Rak to us, right?" asked Charmy.

"Well Yes but Fara still calls me Ral-Rak for her reasons. And you can call me Eric if you feel...."said Ral-Rak before noticing some people at Tails' place. "Who are they?" he asked.

"There just the guys who own the trucks you fixed. Come on! I have a surprise for ya Ral-Rak!" Tails said running to the garage.

The group followed Tails into his house. By the time they went up stairs, Tails was already walking back from the hanger with an envelope in the now mostly vacant garage

"Here. Take this." said Tails handing the envelope to Ral-Rak.

Ral-Rak stared blankly for a few seconds before Tails broke the silence, saying "Well are you going to open it?".

Ral-Rak slid his finger under the glued flap and carefully opened the envelope reveling a small plastic card and a letter. He opened the letter and read to him self "Dear Mr. Prowler, In this envelope you will find a gift card worth 4000 credits, as you requested. We thank you for your service and hope to do more business with you soon. Sincerely Mobius Banking International Corp.". He looked at the card and back at Tails and asked "What is the meaning of this?".

Tails smiled and said "This is your first pay check from the work you done on the trucks. I hope that's enough.".

Ral-Rak looked back at the card and said "I....I never had this much money before in my life! I don't even think I can accept this. I fixed those trucks for you as a favor for helping Fara and I.".

"That's your money! You fixed the trucks, you get paid! That's how we are going to work now." explained Tails.

Ral-Rak placed the letter and card back into the envelope and said "Thank you. I don't know what to say besides that. If there is anything I can do, please just ask.".

"Its nothing Ral-Rak. Now lets get going." said Tails.

"I actually want to show Ral-Rak something on Angle Island, if you don't mind Ral-Rak." Knuckles asked.

"Uhhh... I guess I could come with you. We still have to use the tram if you don't mind." Ral-Rak said.

"That's fine. Now lets get going" said Knuckles pointing to the stairs.

The Group followed Tails to his tram and boarded. They went to Sonic's stop leaving Ral-Rak and Knuckles on board the tram, watching them go down the tunnel.

The Girls were carrying several bags each to Vanilla's car when Amy said "So what was that between you and Ral-Rak, Rouge? I thought you and Knuckles were together".

Rouge just smiled and said "Knuckles and I are really not all that together. His stubbornness and gullibility is a really turn off. Besides, I like Ral-Rak's look a bit better anyway.".

Fara looked at the two and said "What?".

"I'm not all that surprised about that between you and Knuckles. No offense. I mean you are right about him being stubborn and gullible. But I thought you could put up with that." replied Amy.

"Well I can for a while but he also has not shown any affection to me at all. And Ral-Rak did seem interested." explained Rouge.

"Wait. Hold on. I really don't feel that comfortable about you guys talking about this with me here." Fara said with a slightly upset tone.

"Ral-Rak is the first magic man I know also." said Rouge with a slight smile on her face.

"I don't want to hear girl talk about my brother guys." Fara said.

"What? Its a complement. I think your brother is cute." said Rouge with a confused tone.

"Okay girls. That's enough now." Said Vanilla sensing Fara's annoyance.

"Okay.....Do you like movies Fara?" Amy asked.

"Yeah! We should take Fara to movies!" Cream cheered.

"Um...I don't know. I haven't really seen many movies." admitted Fara.

"Well we'll take you to one dear. And after that it should be dinner time." said Vanilla.

"Well thank you! I wish I could do something for you back." said Fara/

"It's okay. You don't have to pay us back. At least not anytime soon." said Amy.

Ral-Rak looked up at the leap that Knuckles just took to his floating island. "Just as high as yesterday." he muttered to himself before saying his spell and teleporting up on top of the island. He immediately almost lost his balance and forced him self to fall forward after appearing on the edge.

"That was close." chuckled Knuckles who was holding out his hand for Ral-Rak.

Ral-Rak breathed heavy for a second before finally taking Knuckles' hand and standing up.

"So...What was it....that you wanted....to show.....me?" Ral-Rak asked still breathing.

"This." said Knuckles, walking to his Artifact Shack.

Ral-Rak followed him to the shack. The wall were lined with artifacts of old civilizations. Almost everything from child's toys to very rare ceremonial masks. Knuckles open a trap door and climbed down. Ral-Rak stood there for a bit before hearing knuckles to call "Come down here!". Ral-Rak looked down to see only a 8 foot drop at most. He followed Knuckles path that was lined with even more artifacts.

Knuckles handed Ral-Rak a amulet of a eye inside of a upside down triangle with a odd metal chain and said "Here, can you tell me anything about this?".

As soon as Ral-Rak grabbed the amulet which shimmered upon touch. "Its never done that before." said Knuckles.

"It's magical. That's for sure. What can you tell me about this?" asked Ral-Rak.

"Well I first found it at in the depths of the runes here. I never knew what this was for but it was the first thing I ever found." explained Knuckles.

"I can't say what it is but I can contact my master and school tomorrow." said Ral-Rak.

"Okay then. Now that's settled, there is one more thing I want to ask.....Is their any way you can repair the Master Emerald?" ask Knuckles.

Ral-Rak crossed his arms and looked down, going into deep thought for a second before looking up again and saying "I.....I really don't know. I could try a kind of repair spell but for something with a strong magical energy, I'm going to need a way to power up the spell a lot.".

Knuckles leaned against the wall and scratched his head thinking before saying "The chaos emeralds you have now are not enough?".

"I'm afraid that's not the only problem. My spell and magic books are at my house ...er, pile of rubble, so I cant even try yet...I don't think." said Ral-Rak, fingering the chain of the amulet.

Knuckles looked up to Ral-Rak and said "What do you mean that you don't think?".

Ral-Rak sighed before saying "Well I know one spell but its for repairing mechanical things, not magical things. But that dose not mean I cant try it.".

"Well....thanks anyway for coming down here." said Knuckles slightly annoyed.

"It's my pleasure. Now lets go meet up with everyone. I want to asked everyone something at once." said Ral-Rak who was turning around to the ladder.

Knuckles was already starting to follow Ral-Rak when he asked "What to you want to ask?".

"You'll see." answered Ral-Rak who was already up the ladder and by the door.

Knuckles followed Ral-Rak up, locking the doors behind him. He saw Ral-Rak warping again and followed him down. Ral-Rak clutched the ground until Knuckles came.

"Why do you grip the ground on landing?" asked Knuckles.

"When I warp......I pretty much fly straight though to the other point." replied Ral-Rak.

"What do you mean?" Knuckles asked.

Ral-Rak took a deep breath and said "Well lets imagined two points on a two dimensional grid of length and width. Point A and Point B. I can travel between the two points with ease. Now lets put a wall between the two points. When I warp, I travel though the wall and I see the wall but I just past though it. Now lets say Point A and B are on a grid but lets add a third dimension, height. If Point A if up high, then when I warp, I travel straight down to Point B which mean I see the ground coming straight to me.".

Ral-Rak regained his composure when Knuckles said "I'm sorry. I did not realize what that was like.".

"Its nothing." said Ral-Rak as he followed Knuckles to the mountain tram. The 2 went though the process of opening the door and entered the stop of Sonic's place, leaving the Angle Island stop.

"I'm going to the bathroom, could you buy my popcorn and soda, please?" asked Amy handing some money to Vanilla.

"Why of course dear. Why kind of soda do you want? Ask Vanilla.

"Diet lemon-Lime" responded Amy before running off to the bathroom.

"Mom, is it okay if Fara and I look at the arcade games?" asked Cream.

Vanilla smiled and said "Go right head dear. Just be back in 5 minutes.".

"Okay" said Cream, taking Fara by the hand and leading her to the arcade with Cheese following, leaving Vanilla and Rouge waiting in line.

"Wow, theirs a lot of games here. Ral-Rak would love it here." said Fara looking at all the flickering lights and hearing the barrage of sound.

"Ral-Rak likes games?" asked Cream looking at Fara.

"Yeah. He loves them. Though we don't have any new systems though. Just some old game machine at the house. The others found it for him a long time ago with some games. We cant even find games for it anymore." said Fara examine a claw machine.

"What kind of games dose Ral-Rak like?" Cream asked.

Fara scratched her head for a second in thought and said "He likes all of them I think.".

Amy came walking at the door way of the arcade and shouted "Come on girls! The movie is about to start.". The two followed Amy into the dimming theater.

"Is this the stop?" Ral-Rak asked Knuckles as the tram rolled to a stop.

"I think so. The last 2 were no where near the house. I think Tails has them for safety" replied Knuckles as he got out of the tram with Ral-Rak.

The two open the door and found Tails and Chaotix waiting for them.

"Took ya long enough." said Charmy, getting up.

"You didn't need to stay. I could of taken Ral-Rak to Sonic's place." said Knuckles.

The group set off to Sonic's place. Every one was a bit talkative except for Ral-Rak, who was asking a few questions but for the most part, was quiet for the walk. When they got to Sonic's house, Ral-Rak was surprised at Sonic's garden, which looked well kept.

The Group walked up and rang the door bell. They waited a couple of seconds and rang the bell again.

"Maybe he's not home?" Espio suggested.

"He's usually home at..." Tails said before he was cut off by Knuckles shouting.

"SONIC! GET OUT HERE!" Shouted Knuckles pounding at the the door.

"What do you want?" said Sonic's voice out of no where.

"Want to hang out?" ask Tails shouting up.

Ral-Rak was looking around trying to find the source of Sonic's voice when came Sonic from the sky right next to the group.

"Sure." said Sonic. "Come on in and make your self at home." he then said opening the door and walking though it. "Can I get you guys any thing?" he asked as he walked to the kitchen.

"I'll take a small glass of water." said Ral-Rak. He sat down with the rest of the group in the living room. "Where did you come from out there Sonic?" Ral-Rak asked.

Sonic walked into the living room with a cola and glass of water. He handed Ral-Rak his water saying "I was taking a nap.". He sat down.

"What do you mean? Were you taking a nap on your house?" Ral-Rak asked confused now.

"Sonic likes to take naps in the sun alone." Tails said

"So you take naps on your house?" Ral-Rak asked.

"Yep. So..." Sonic said turning his head everyone, "What should we do?".

"Whats on TV?" Knuckles asked.

"I Wanna hear more about Ral-Rak and Espio." said Victor.

"No!" said Espio. "I don't want to talk about anything even close to that!".

The group was silent. Looking back an forth at Espio and Ral-Rak. It was Ral-Rak that broke the silence with a smile when he said "Well there is one story that has to come out now, called "The Raid."

"NO!" Espio said with a smile. "No, No, No! Stop!" he then said with a small chuckle.

"Why?" asked Ral-Rak. "It was our class's greatest time!" he said.

"Because them not knowing tic them off and I think its funny."

"Then I'll say no words." said Ral-Rak.

"Awwww." sighed Charmy who was also wondering about Espio's past.

During this time Tails, Knuckles and Sonic were quietly watching TV and listening to the conversation. After a few minuets of silence, Ral-Rak spoke up.

"Thank you all. Thank you for everything you've done for me and for Fara so far. But in a few days, I will need your help again." He said in a serious tone. "I'm going back up north to save my family of friends. So many things have gone wrong in the last few weeks. They gone so wrong now that I need outside help. I would like that outside help to be you guys. I will pay you what ever I and my..... don't even know what we call ourselves. The closest thing I can think of is tribe. I will pay you what ever my tribe and I can spare. "

"I'll help ya Ral-Rak." responded Tails. "We can talk about repayment later.". Normally Tails would not even mention repayment, but he noticed that Ral-Rak had to do everything fair trade.

"Thank you Tails." said Ral-Rak, who then turned to Knuckles and suggested "Knuckles, If I help you repair that Master Emerald, would you help?".

Knuckles though for a second before saying "Sure. That sounds fair.".

Ral-Rak turned his head to Espio and then asked "How about you guys. I don't know what I can do besides money. I don't have much but I will pay you if you help spring my friends from Eggman's prison.".

Espio looked at Vector and Charmy. They both nodded and Espio turned his head back to Ral-Rak saying "You have our help my friend."

Ral-Rak bowed his head to Espio and Espio did the same. Ral-Rak turned his head to Sonic and asked "Will you help me, Sonic? I don't know what I....."

"You can help me by joining me to stop Robotnik. It's not the first time he tried something like this." said Sonic, interrupting Ral-Rak.

Ral-Rak was quiet for a second before saying "Whatever it take to get my friends out." with a smile.

"Good we should start planing now then." said Sonic.

"Well, my friends are in a factory, not to far from a dam that we built when my group and I became partners with Dr. Robotnik. The deal was we split the power from the dam after we built it. But after that he came up with a new deal. If we help him build his factory, he'll shelter us in the winter and lend us use of his construction bot in the summer. I did not take the deal but most of the others did. After they were done, he imprisoned them and said that they were his workers now. When the others tried to leave, he had his bots open fire at them. No one was injured but they now live in fear." explained Ral-Rak.

"That's horrible." said Tails.

"Yeah, that was going too far, even for Eggman!" asked Charmy.

"It's too far, but not out of character. What else can you tell us?" stated Sonic.

"The bots that are being made are a new design and metal unlike anything I've seen before. We have some information that leaked out and we built our own bot....but it chased us. Anyway the designs are almost futuristic or alien." explained Ral-Rak.

"Wait! What?" asked a shocked Tails.

"It's weird. I know but....." said Ral-Rak before his was interrupted.

"Is he using the Metarex designs?" asked Espio.

"I don't know what you mean. I think that name did come up once or twice between his 3 bots when I overheard them talking." said Ral-Rak.

The others exchange looks of worry between them before Ral-Rak asked "I can tell this is worse than I thought but what is a Metarex?"

"They are an extincted, plant race of aliens, called Seedrians. They were battling another destructive race of aliens. The only way of combat was to evolutionise themselves, becoming Metarex. But for them to do this was to sacrifice their planet's energy though the planet egg. They did and then they fought their foes and went off to search of more of them to stop from attacking. They exterminated them from existent but then to keep them self sustained, they tried to take every planet egg in the universe. But some did not choose to evolve and were hunted by the Metarex. The last one came to see us right before the Metarex tried to take Mobius' planet egg. Sonic could not penetrate their armor but with my new invention, we defeated them and went out to stop the Metarex from destroying other planet eggs. Eggman followed us and did his thing. We did stop them, but as a last ditch effort, the ruler of the Metarex tried to blow everyone up, us him and Eggman along with the planet eggs from all the other planets they ransacked. The last Seedrian sacrificed herself so everyone could stop the Metarex." explained Tails with a pained look on his face.

Ral-Rak was quiet for a bit analyzing the information he just received. He did knew there was space travel but did not know there was aliens in the universe. The planet egg he did know from his magic studies. Everything was overwhelming to him now. His gypsy family was being held at gun point being forced to make a robot he can barely defeat, by the man who betrayed them, his house was blown up and now his only chose was to turn to out side help, who just happened to be Eggman's rivals and know how to defeat the robots. On top of that, he was injured, poor, and living out of a strangers house that he had just met with his sister. With no resources of his own, he must defeat Robotnik, save his family, rebuild his house, nurse himself back to health, build Fara a house, and repay all these people. Now aliens were involved. Not only was this out of hand, it was too much for him to bare all at once. Everyone caught on to Ral-Rak's shock and asked if he was okay. All he said was " ....Yeah.....May I use your bathroom?".

Sonic nodded his head and Ral-Rak walk into the bathroom with his staff and just stood their for a second before just sitting on the toilet with his head being cradled by his hands. "How did it come to this?". He sat there for a few seconds and then stood up and removed his cloak. The Wound was open still. He grabbed his emerald from his staff and held it over his chest and shoulder. "Shin-Guar" he said as a glow started from his chest then to his shoulder. The wound stated to close up a bit when some one knocked on the door.

"Are you okay in there?" asked Espio.

"Yeah. Just my wound was bothering me." replied Ral-Rak.

"Your injured?" Espio asked in shock.

"That bot chased Fara and I shot me at the beginning of the chase. I'm okay now but it still hurts." explained Ral-Rak.

"Well, just checking to make sure your okay. You seem kind of freaked out about the Metarex story." said Espio.

"I kind of am. I'm focusing the my wound right now to help but what freaks me out most is my family is being held, not just a mad man and is robot army, but a alien robot army." admitted Ral-Rak.

"....I would be too Eric....I just leave you to heal your wound for now." said Espio.

"...Thank you." said Ral-Rak.

Espio walked back into the living room with stares. "He's fine. Just a bit overwhelmed right now.".

"Don't blame him." said Knuckles.

Ral-Rak stood in the bathroom for a bit longer healing until the wound was closed up a bit more. He redress the bandages. He walked out of the bathroom with is cloak on and emerald in his staff.

The phone rang and Sonic picked it up. "Hey Sonic!" said Amy.

Sonic jumped a bit when Amy spoke but responded "Hey Amy. Whats up?".

"I'm hanging out with the girls and we were wondering if you knew where Ral-Rak was?" asked Amy.

"Yeah, he's here along with the guys." answered Sonic.

"Well we are at the movie and the shows at intermission, and Fara just wanted to check in with Ral-Rak." explained Amy.

"Well let me just put him on the phone." said Sonic waving Ral-Rak over.

Ral-Rak walked over and Sonic handed him the phone. "Hello?" said Ral-Rak.

"Hey! Its Amy. Just a sec, Fara wants to talk to you." said Amy.

Amy handed the phone to Fara and said "Here ya go.".

"Thanks." said Fara. "Hello? Ral-Rak?" she continued.

"Hey Fara. How you doing?" asked Ral-Rak.

"Doing good. I have your things and just checking in with you. We are at a movie right now. Its intermission and we were going to go out to eat. I was wondering if you want us to pick you up something." offered Fara.

"Just a sec." said Ral-Rak. He turned his head to the guys and asked "What are we going to do about food." .

"What about pizza?" suggest Charmy.

Every one agreed and Ral- Rak went back on the phone saying "No, don't pick me up anything but thanks for the offer. Were just going to order pizza here.".

"Okay then. I got to go. The movie is starting again. See you soon." said Fara in a haste, hanging up the phone.

Ral-Rak put the phone back down and asked "So where and what do we order?" to the group. "I'll buy." he then added.

"Lets order from Geino's." said Sonic. "They have a Chilli dog pizza that I like.".

"Okay" said Ral-Rak as he picked up the phone. "Umm... you call, I don't know the number or this address."

Sonic order the pizza and sat down with the group. "So....What do you have in mind to save your friends, Ral-Rak?" he asked.

Ral-Rak thought for a second and said "Well my friends need to be rescued first. They I suggest that we blow up the complex to stop the production. These robots are too strong for most to fight.".

"Wait! You fired something at your robot the other day that weaken it's armor and allowed Sonic to blast though it. What was that?" asked Tails.

"That was a rocket filled with a very voltaic herbicide solvent gas. We used it to clear out the brush before we started construction. It's the only thing that seems to work against it. Now that you mentioned that, it makes sense that it would work against the robot." responded Ral-Rak.

"How? Its a robot!" asked Vector.

"Yes! A robot based on a plant species designs. If that species designed a robot populated by plants, that there is a likely chance that the planet of the design would have very little herbicides there. Different metals, different design." answered Ral-Rak.

"So...Whats your plan of attack then?" asked Knuckles.

"What? Oh right. My idea is to have two teams. An assaulting force and a stealth force. The assaulting force can bring down most of the robots. Then try to lead most of them away to the back. While this is happening, the stealth team can sneak in and rescue my friends. When they escape we can bring down the factory a lot more safely, knowing the prisoners are not in danger." replied Ral-Rak. He looked at Sonic, Tails, and Knuckles and said "I would like you to be on the assaulting force with me."

"What about us?" asked Charmy.

Ral-Rak turned his head to Chaotix and said "I would like you guys to be on the stealth team. Fara can Lead you guys in after us.".

"Are you sure that's a good idea Ral-Rak? Fara Doesn't seem to....think things through." asked Knuckles.

"What are you getting at?" said a slightly angry Tails.

Knuckles, a bit shocked that Tails was standing up to him, said "Well you know the story. Fara made the robot crazy. I'm just basing my perception of her on that.".

"Knuckles is right, Tails!" said Ral-Rak to try and make Tails stand down. Tails slowed down a bit, allowing Ral-Rak to say "Fara maybe kind, creative, strong and smart but that dose not mean that she isn't stupid. She's head strong, even when wrong. Let me retract that. Especially when wrong and that is usually her downfall. But she dose try to fix her mistakes and try to make up for it also......Sorry, just some pent up anger.... Sorry.".

Every one was quiet for a bit before Ral-Rak said "Fara is leading the stealth team. No more of it.".

"So how are we going to destroy the robots? Its not like we can just carry rocket launchers on our backs and fight efficiently!" asked Knuckles.

"We have mortars and we can make more, along with other things that can fire the gas, but I'm afraid the bigger problem is we may not have enough of the herbicides to make the solvent." said Ral-Rak in a worried tone.

"I can help you make the herbicides if need be." suggested Tails.

"That would help a lot, Tails. Thanks." said Ral-Rak.

Suddenly a loud banging was on the door. "That must be the pizza." said Sonic.

"Here take this." Said Ral-Rak, who handed Sonic the bank card that Tails had given him.

Sonic left the room and came back with pizza. He set down the pizza and handed Ral-Rak his card and receipt. "Lets finish planing tomorrow." suggested Sonic. The group agreed and began eating.

The rest of the night was mostly chit chat, games, and eating pizza. It wasn't until later, after it was quite dark, that there was a knocking at the door.

Sonic got up muttering to himself "Who can that be?".

He open the door to a lunging pink hedgehog screaming "SONIC! I missed you!".

"Amy! Calm down! What are you doing here?"

We are here to pick Ral-Rak up." said Vanilla who step in the door with Cream, Cheese and Fara.

"Then I better be off then." said Ral-Rak getting up off the floor. "Thanks for having me." Ral-Rak said to Sonic. He turned to Espio and Chaotix and said "Great to see you again Espio and nice meeting you Vector and Charmy.".

Ral-Rak walked over to the girls. Amy kissed Sonic on the cheek and said "Good night, sweet hedgehog.".

The rest of the girls just said good bye and left with Ral-Rak to Vanilla's car that was outside with Rouge inside. Vanilla, Cream, and Fara, took the front seat and Ral- Rak Amy and Rouge were in the back with Ral-Rak in the middle with his satchel on is lap and Cheese on his satchel.

Cream looked back and said "Looks like Cheese likes you."

"What can I say, Chaos like magic." responded Ral-Rak. "How was your time girls?" He then asked.

"I loved it!" said Fara, "We saw a love film and had dinner at a nice restaurant. It was great! How was yours by the way?

Ral-Rak smiled and said "Glad to here your girls day went well. Mine did as well. We made contact with Luke, I got a job working for Tails, and Sonic, Tails, Knuckles, and a old friend of mine said they would help us fight Eggman."

"You made contact?!" Fara asked, "How are they? Is the house badly damaged?".

"They are doing somewhat well. Luke didn't say if anyone was injured but I think I'm the only one injured from the bot." Answered Ral-Rak.

"The house?" Fara inquired.

"I didn't think to ask. Were are moving anyway. Remember?" Ral-Rak answered again.

"I know. Just wondering about the condition of our stuff. Anyway you said you got Sonic Knuckles and Tails to help but you said an old friend also? " Fara asked.

"If Sonic is helping, then I'm helping!" Interrupted Amy.

Cream then looked to her mother and asked "Can I help them too?".

I don't know dear. Is it okay with Fara and Ral-Rak?" Vanilla asked.

"I guess it would be okay." Ral-Rak said which received a dirty look from Fara.

Fara asked again "You said an old friend also?" still giving the dirty look.

"Uh, Yeah. Remember me talking about when I was in that marshal art school. He's a old friend from there named Espio." said Ral-Rak. "He joined a detective agency here called "Chaotix". They are giving us a deal to help us.".

"I guess that means that I'm joining you to as well." Rouge remarked with a smirk.

"Why is that?" asked Fara.

"She is joining us because she's in Chaotix also." Ral-Rak answered.

"Well here's my house." said Amy as they coasted to a stop.

"I'm going to start planing the prison escape tomorrow afternoon. Just meet us there if you want to." Ral-Rak said as Amy was getting out of the car.

"I guess I will see you then." She replied as she walked to the door. She waved goodbye before heading in.

"I don't live much farther form here. I'll just get out now." Rouge said as she jumped over the car door.

"You sure dear?" asked Vanilla.

"I'm sure. See out tomorrow." Rouge replied as she flew off with bags in hand.

Vanilla finished the trek home not long after.

Cream and Vanilla's house was oddly round, 2 story house. The home was mostly furnished with hardwood. Front was fenced off with a large garden. Behind the house was even a larger garden along with a play set and small pool.

As soon as they walked inside, Vanilla offered "Would you guys like some tea or some seed cake?".

I would love some. Thank you very much." answered Ral-Rak.

"Alright then. Cream, could you show our guests to their rooms please?" asked Vanilla.

Sure. Up here guys." Cream said as she bolted up stairs. Fara lightly jaunted up while Ral-Rak walked a slightly slow pace.

By the time Ral-Rak reached the top of the stairs, Fara was already shone her room, a small room with a window, twin bed, night stand on one side and a desk, chair, and lamp on the other and a small closet in the corner., down the hall. "Over here is your room." Cream said. She ran past Ral-Rak to the other end of the hall. Ral-Rak followed to a room of similarly stature but with a small old computer on the desk.

"Thank you. This room is perfect." Ral-Rak said, setting down his satchel on the foot of the bed and then bowing to Cream with a smile. "Your welcome. Fara said she wanted to use the shower first."

"That's fine" replied Ral-Rak. Cream walked away. Ral-Rak stood their for a moment, admiring the room, before walking downstairs.

Vanilla already had the cakes and tea set out. "Once again, Thank you." Ral-Rak said bowing.

"Don't mention it dear." Vanilla said with a smile, as she sat down at the end of the kitchen table.

Ral-Rak sat at the other end on the side facing the stairs. He started to ponder what to do next. He thought about it as he ate his seed cake. "Do you have an alarm clock you can spare?" he asked suddenly.

Vanilla jumped slightly when Ral-Rak suddenly spoke out of the quite of the house. "I think we have something. Let me check." She got up and started to walk to Creams room up stairs. Ral-Rak started to follow up the stairs with her.

"Cream?" Cream looked up from her book. "Does the communicator Tail's made have an alarm function?" Vanilla asked.

Cream nodded and went to her night stand and pulled out an arm band made of metal. "Here ya go mom." Cream said with a smile as she handed it to Vanilla.

"Will this work?" Vanilla ask Ral-Rak.

He looked at the band for a second and said "I think this will. Thank you both.". He walked down the hall to his room to tinker with the band. He soon found the alarm function and set it for early tomorrow morning.

Fara suddenly appeared at the door saying "The shower is ready when you are." and walked away.

Ral-Rak walked to the bathroom with his satchel in hand. He entered the bathroom and locked the door. The took off his cloak and checked his wound. "2 or 3 days of healing spells would fix this." he thought to himself. He took a short shower, being sparing with the hot water. He took one of the towels off the self and dried him self off, and then re-bandaged himself using the old bandages. He then put on his coat and walked to his room to find fresh bandages on the foot of the bed. He put those in his satchel and let it on the foot of the bed. He looked outside his door and noticed the house was dark. He thought it was time for him to go to bed as well. He closed his door and took the other emerald from his staff and started to heal himself again. His eyes soon became tired and soon went to bed, mumbling to him self "I cant believe its come to this.".

"Has he made contact yet?" asked Robotnik with a mean scour to his face.

"Our sensor are indicating yes, sir!" Bocoe and Decoe said simultaneously.

"How many days do you think it will take?" said shadow, sitting in the back of the room.

"Probably 5 days." said a mysterious voice in the shadows. "We can both get them then and we won't have to see each other again." he continued.

Robotnik turned around, smiled and said "Fine by me." He turned around and gazed out the control window. "Fine by me."
