Master of Hearts

Lilen's Lessons (Part 1)

Sunday had been a strange difference, as after a week of near endless commands, Connor was almost lost in his freedom. Every moment he wondered if every little thing he did would earn him a lashing or a lecture from his Trainers who watched him shamefully. They hadn't considered how heavy they were training Connor until they saw him struggling to just relax and be himself, it was a jarring reality that they took as punishment; both swearing that they would never act like that again. They also agreed that they wouldn't train Connor, unless he knew he was being trained, and they would do this with two code words: Slave Time/Free Time; the later used when training was finished. When they said, 'Slave Time', Connor was to obey their commands, if not then he would be punished. Training would also be regulated to six hours per day so Connor had plenty of time to be himself and relax afterwards.

If Banavi or Lilen expected to go over this six hour maximum, then they would have to give a prewritten notice. If this maximum needed to be bypassed that day for any reason, then the person training Connor would have to get permission from Connor; if Connor didn't give it, then that was it, training was finished after the six hours. This little agreement had become a contractual obligation that was added into Connor's slave contract and signed into power with Dagia serving as a witness.

Lilen would get the first chance to use the code word because of his training on Monday.

Before the alarm could even ring on Monday morning, Connor found himself rocked awake by a familiar silhouette, Lilen. The shark was smiling, one of the few things that glinted white in the soft star light of the magical mural, "Heeeyyy." Lilen started with a soft whispering welcome, "It's time to get started, we don't have time to waste."

"Lilen...what time is it?" Connor asked, but the alarm clock only clarified that with its smacking electronic cries; 4:15AM. Groaning at the one-minute difference, Connor grabbed Lilen's right shoulder and rolled out of his hammock and onto his feet. The soft tell-tale crinkling of plastic served as a pleasant reminder of the reusable cloth diaper between his legs; still very much dry.

"Don't worry about changing out of your diaper Connor, just keep it on, I have all of your clothes out and ready for you... and I know you don't like drinking caffeine but I know you were up late last night watching TV. SO here, I made you a cold brew." Lilen directed as he dragged Connor to his dresser where clothes were already laid out next to a silver thermos.

Connor yawned as he slipped into his clothes, a simple green shirt with 'I need seed to grow my Crops' on the front with a farmer and crop decal, while the back had an yellow arrow pointing to Connor's ass saying, 'Deposit your excess here.' Connor rolled his eyes, but he didn't refuse to put it on, it did make him smile. "Subtle Lilen." Connor yawned as he slipped into swim trunks before tying them up over the blue plastic and cloth diaper.

Lilen offered and unscrewed thermos to Connor, "Drink, we have a long walk."

"There's nothing special about the milk is there?" Connor questioned, finding the distinct pressure to drink just the slightest bit alarming.

"Special?..oh....oooohhhh..." Lilen questioned until the idea clicked and he smiled, and groped the front of his swim strap, the black and blue jock strap one of the few things he wore other than a white shirt. "No, but do you want some?" Lilen offered the tip of his twin protrusions tenting the waterproof fabric.

Connor actually took a moment to consider the idea, debating on it before chuckling at his own depraved heart, "IF you want too." Connor offered, holding out the open thermos for the shark. Lilen's smile burned, and if he was a dog his long-finned tail would have been wagging with joy. "Do you want to help 'milk' me?" Lilen asked as he put a heavy welcoming hand on Connor's shoulder.

"Sure... why not sir." Connor agreed, and with that Lilen kicked off his jock strap and dropped a green army duffel bag hanging over his shoulder to the ground, before sitting down at Connor's desk chair. Putting the thermos on the adjustable desk he spread his legs and leaned back. "Here, this will be great practice for you." Lilen noted as he spread his slit to give his erecting cocks the space, they needed to escape their cramped confines.

Kneeling between Lilen's legs Connor held each member, they felt like wet stainless steel, and had the familiar musty fishy sea musk. Both were warm to the touch and dripped with expecting release. However, as Connor held the members stroking them, he knew something was off, his hand wasn't warping their flesh, 'so was Lilen actually feeling anything?' Connor wondered, looking up at Lilen who seemed all too confident and expecting.

"It's ok, I'm going to teach you a special kind of concubine magic." Lilen explained as he whisked his right hand over the Thermos to pull out the coffee and ice, rolling the liquids in the air into a ball that hovered over his hand. "Concubine magic?" Connor asked as he pointlessly stroked the members in his hands, he loved the slick feeling and the fact that he was holding Lilen's cocks; it was intimate and personal, and he just loved the position.

"Many mages call these Concubine magics the disrespectful arts, but no one can deny how powerful they are when used properly. This magic I'm going to teach you was created by concubine mages, masters of magic who used their times as slaves to learn and try something new. So first, Connor what do you know of water and organic bodies?" Lilen started, spinning the ball of coffee as if it was a basketball on his index finger.

"Well, I know that human body is mostly water." Lilen nodded, "Correct. Now what are organic cells made out of?"

"Well water sir, mostly I think?" Connor replied earning another approving nod from Lilen.

"Exactly, as a qire mage you don't just control water, you control anything that has a liquid state, that includes the water inside of cells and the mortal body. You, with your human strength may never be able to satisfy me, but focus on using your magic to milk me and you can manipulate my body." Connor flinched, he could understand the idea but it sounded dangerous, not that he wasn't willing to try but he had never done something like that before. If he screwed up... he could crush Lilen's cocks.

"Are you sure you want me to do this?" Connor asked, and Lilen nodded, "It's better me than anyone, and I trust you. I've seen your resume, I know how capable you are. Just relax, take a breath and focus, use your own hands to direct the motions and focus on bending the flesh, compressing, massaging it..." Lilen lectured seeming to reserve himself to possible pain as Connor looked at the daunting task in front of him; then back up at Lilen for assurance.

When Connor got a nod of approval, he breathed, relaxed, and started stroking the member, he felt back on the idea of what it felt like to masturbate on himself, how the skin bent under his stiff grip. Lilen winced, his claws digging into the chair, the ball of coffee freezing on impulse. "Tight... Connor tight!" Lilen groaned in protest, his toes curling as he did his best to not pull himself out of Connor's near crushing grip.

Connor pulled back, and removed his hand to expose a red ring where his hand had been. He had really just manipulated a Mincridarn's body, Lilen actually felt him. If it wasn't for the fact that Lilen was in pain Connor would have been far happier. "Sorry." Connor apologized watching as Lilen rubbed at the sore spot. "It takes skill and practice, but you can't learn how to manipulate magic if you don't do it. So... Go ahead," Lilen finished, pushing out his own approval with a deep reluctance.

"Are you sure?" Connor asked, and Lilen nodded, "Ok... I'll try and be softer this time." Connor assured as he took the members back into his hand, and took a breath, before closing his eyes, and instead of imaging himself, he thought of a feather. How it felt to pull the feather between his fingers, the light gentle rolling sensation. Lilen sighed in relief, and relaxed, falling back into the chair.

"Just... Just like that Connor," Lilen moaned, closing his eyes, his head falling back as he moaned behind closed teeth. Connor smiled glad he was at least doing it right, before closing his eyes again to focus on his servicing, but then a daring idea creeped into his mind. Connor leaned in forward to pull himself into the deep sea musk, and opened his mouth and licked the bottom of the shaft.

Lilen vibrated like a virgin, his toes curling under the soft sensation, that dragged and lapped at his stiff tips. His pre tasted distinctly salty, like the bottom of bag pretzel salt, it was bitter, near cringe worthy; but it was still Lilen's and that's why Connor still lapped at the seed with a dire thirst.

Knowing a blowjob might just be too dangerous, Connor focused on only bathing the twin cocks with his tongue and stroking them, slowly and methodically, rolling the sensitive tips into the palm of his hand before pushing the members back. Connor kissed the musty V between the cocks before licking up the right. Loving the lustful sounds that escaped Lilen's sharp toothed lips.

"Ok... Connor..." Lilen begged, "Just a little bit more, ok? Just a little bit harder, I'm almost there."

Connor looked down at his own hands before taking a breath, starting at the base he pulled up with a stiffer grasp that made Lilen wince. Connor did his best to quickly adjust, as he continued to stroke and milk his Trainer; and soon enough Connor was met with a warm aftermath that was shot into his face. Drenching and soaking his skin with the watery white cum.

Lilen laughed, panting as Connor found himself paralyzed, by the wet sensation that soaked into his hair, matting his bed head down like a watery hair spray. Connor felt Lilen leave, and then come up from behind him and drape an arm over Connor's damp shoulder. "Say cheese, cum slut."

Connor would have rolled his eyes as he smiled, "Cheese," But he just obeyed and heard the click of a phone camera and saw the flash behind closed eyes. Several pictures were taken, some were fixed and taken again, but once the perfect picture was in Lilen's phone his seed was whisked away, and stirred magically into the coffee. Connor just felt like his face was covered in a thin layer of slime by the time Lilen was done mixing everything together and handing back the ice-cold coffee.

"How does it taste?" Lilen asked after Connor took a sip of his salted coffee.

"It tastes like you mixed pretzels and coffee together...it's not actually that bad." Connor admitted almost shamefully because he couldn't stop himself from drinking more once he finished answering Lilen's depraved question. Lilen only chuckled and leaned down to kiss Connor's forehead before slipping back into his swimwear styled jock strap. "I'll keep that in mind next time."

"Can I wash my face?" Connor asked, Lilen nodded, "Brush your hair too, some of my seed dried up before I could pull it."

"Yes sir," Connor accepted feeling the distinct dry spot on his head from where the seed had matted his hair, before leaving to go to the bathroom to wash up and restore what very little dignity he still had.

Sipping on the coffee Connor met up with Lilen in the entry way, hearing the fringes of a conversation between his mate and Lilen. "Yeah, I'll send you the pictures later. But don't worry, I'll take good care of him. You'll have Connor back by tomorrow morning sir."

"Wait? Tomorrow?" Connor asked somewhat struggling to pull himself away from the delicious coffee. The two turned to Connor and nodded, "Lilen has you only for six hours, and every other day, so he's going to run you through some heavy training Connor, you will most likely find it very hard to move once finished. So, we agreed that you'll stay with Lilen for the night, and come back for your doctor's appointment tomorrow morning. And good job with your magical practice this morning." Banavi explained thoroughly and the idea of such intense training left Connor with a bad taste in his mouth.

"Yeah... Ok." Connor exhaled to steady himself, while Banavi came up and grabbed his hand, before pulling him down into a kneeling position. "You'll be fine, it'll be hard, but we both know you need this. It'll help you get stronger, as a human and as a mage. Call me by six pm, ok?"

Connor nodded at Banavi's soft assurances, they were mildly comforting, and they helped Connor smile, "Ok, I love you sir." Connor finished as he kissed Banavi's knuckles and then his nose, before standing to leave with Lilen.

"I love you to Connor." Banavi returned with a fleeting nervous wave.

-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-

The Darkness greeted Connor, as he followed behind Lilen with a patient pace, following just behind his trainer's right shoulder; a position he had been trained into. "Lilen, Sir, am I allowed to speak freely?"

Lilen waved his hand, granting permission, "I haven't started your training, I agreed to the rules too; we'll start the training once we're in the 'Depths'."

"Lilen, I've been thinking, over my break about everything about the magic and the gray gates and stuff. Sir... is the portal real? How did the gods bring you to earth? Their probably not whisking you over every time you call, are they?" Connor asked, and Lilen smiled with a small breath, but he nodded, "The portal is real, the Gods only asked us to come over."

"Did the gods recently create it, or was it there before everything?" Connor continued, and Lilen crossed his arms as he listened.

"There was actually a portal here connecting our realms already, something created by an ancient people we know as the Alcamora. The Alcamora were a race of beings who ascended and learned how to use the Golden Key. They traveled between realities abandoning their homes to serve the gods in the spirit realm, connecting realities with doorways they left behind when their work was done. One doorway tethered our worlds together, but that doorway was sealed ages ago because of a war between our worlds."

"What other war?" Connor asked as he followed Lilen across the street heading towards the elevator once again.

"The War of Rising Darkness, the gate ways to the underworld were drawn open and the abyss was unleashed completely on our reality. Thousands of years ago, it was devastating, it destroyed the world, and set our people fleeing for hundreds of years. We ourselves were nearly killed off in entirety, surviving only in small tribes after the war ended. The gate was closed because demons and corrupted spirits were flocking to this world because of it's lack of defenses; they were hoping to set up a foot hold here. The Dragons, and Adestrians, stopped this by sending their kind to earth." Connor grabbed Lilen's wrist when he heard the mere mention of Dragons, "Wait? What? Dragons are real?"

Lilen stared down at Connor in confusion, "You didn't know?.. It's not really a big secret."

"No, I heard of Mincridarn lizards that resembled dragons, the Adestrians, but I've never seen one, and no one ever said that Dragons... That they're real." Connor explained, as Lilen chuckled, grabbing Connor's hand to pull it off his wrist, "Then I guess Newport didn't tell you everything. That's ok, as your Trainer I'll do my best to fill in all the blanks when you have questions."

"Wait... is that why we have legends of Dragons?" Lilen nodded, "you're legends aren't false, but there was a devastating misunderstanding. The Dragons were never trying to do wrong by humans, but sometimes spirits changed shapes and snuck into villages. The dragons were trying to track demons and spirits and kill them before they killed anyone and settled in; so the village razing's you ancient societies recorded... They aren't false, many of the legends are true. Including the era of Dragon slaying." Connor's heart sank as he listened, all the blood shed was real; and it was all by accident.

"After the Dragons finished the war, and sealed the gates to the underworld, they also collapsed any and every portal they could find leading to Earth from Ecorein. Apparently, they missed one... Some Dragon Guards stayed behind on earth to finish hunting the demons and spirits that had fallen into the shadows. They were out of resources, food, and were exhausted, they had to hide from the humans that hunted them in retaliation... Some starving dragons attacked villages to find food out of desperation, some sought revenge for their slain brother's and sisters, killed without question by the very humans they were trying to protect. Eventually their good deeds were corrupted, and they became beasts of slaughter, and were slaughtered in turn. The Dragons and Adestrians being as long lived as they are, are still hesitant to interact with humans because of everything that happened; it's why they don't make public appearances and why no feral dragon has ever come to earth since the Doorway opened up." Lilen finished explaining, before nodding Connor forward once again, "Let's get going, I don't want to wait for the elevator."

"Will they ever come to earth?" Connor asked, somewhat ashamed of a past that wasn't his doing.

"Your furry community has been serving as a great influence, their adoration for 'scalies' and their dragon kind in general has helped. I heard whispers that the queen of Adestria might make an appearance at the World Embassy, to apologize for her people's past intrusions and actions, and seek an alliance with European communities; to help them, just as we Mincridarins are helping America and the western world."

"Yeah... I heard France has got it bad... because of the necropolis and everything." Connor cringed at the mention of his fandom again, though at least relieved that at least something good was still coming out of it.

"Europe in general has had a great problem with the undead, because of the preserved dead. Plus, its so easy to travel, and with so many people packed in those large cities; it all makes the undead hard to contain." Lilen explained as they started to set foot on the sloping grassy null that was the park.

"China must be a mess?" Connor guessed, Lilen bobbed his head.

"Because of cremation, it's far less severe, but with so many powerful emotions packed in one location they have a problem with spirits. Same as Japan, Fear, pain, hatred, dark emotions can fuel some spirits; so, they will toy with mortals to feed off their emotions. Pretty much every capital city around the world has a problem with spirits in the same way."

"And Russia? I don't here much about them?"

"Elementals, the tundra cold is a perfect place for damned spirits, and corrupted demons to congregate and recover. It's gotten bad over there, it's why the Adestrians are finally exposing themselves; one of their first jobs is to establish defenses and havens for Citizens and help reorganize the military." Lilen answered with a heavy breath, "it's becoming one of the primary foot holds for the underworld."

Connor paused as he followed behind, sipping on his creamy coffee, "Lilen, why is Russia the perfect place for Elementals?"

"Well...the underworld is formed of shadow and the darkest part of the Dimen and Qire. It's made to be torturous and hard, walls are made of stone thorns, completely frozen over in a deep tundra, with dark bottomless lakes. Russia is cold, it's dark, so to Demons, corrupted elementals, and damned souls, it's like a mortal Underworld for them; it's perfect. Russia is also a vast and empty country, meaning once attacked the spirits could disappear into the wilderness. Making their foot holds near unconquerable, and any war with Russia a battle of attrition; it might be best to simply explain it as the demons have become the Viet Cong of Russia... and they're winning." Lilen lectured as he turned around, taking lead as a familiar tour guide.

The daunting war across the country, Connor exhaled, it seemed impossible to face. America had become such a haven against such vast warring threats that he had been able to live with some manner of comfort; with his mind capable of pushing everything to the side. But now that he knew that this magical problem wasn't just a problem for earth, but for the reality itself... he wondered what threats may be growing in the shadows off world, "Lilen...What about off earth, are there demons on the moon? Other planets?"

"Yes." Lilen nodded, "But they aren't our problems, demons, spirits, because they're out there." Lilen flicked his nose to the stars, "They have to deal with the ascended races. With races like the Alcamora, mortal wardens and guardians." Lilen chuckled, looking down at Connor smiling, patting the human's shoulder to reassure and calm Connor down, "You'll never have to worry about the stars coming to kill you."

Connor hardly felt better, but Lilen's smile was toxic, and Connor couldn't help but smile back. IF Lilen said he was going to be fine, he was probably right. "Lilen, if the Alcamora and the ascended races are so powerful then why aren't they here?"

"Because, there technology, and their magical abilities, are so powerful, and so far ahead of both of our races that the Gods are barring them from interacting with us, so they're wisdom doesn't skew natural Human and Mincridarn development. Everything has a time, and a place, and right now, their powers are just too powerful for any one on Earth to handle. We have to handle earth, and if Earth falls, then it will be because we failed, the ascended races aren't allowed to intervene even on a world ending attack." Lilen explained as he nodded Connor forward, opening the 'Rec' rooms doors open for him.

Connor exhaled cringing as he felt pathetic, he didn't feel like he was doing anything and that felt wrong. He should be out there fighting, fighting to protect his world, and not bending over for fun. His heart felt torn, and his mind leaving him with several regrets because of his ignorance. But Connor's mind was dragged out of the dark parts of his mind, Lilen grabbed his shoulder and smiled, a soft fatherly proud smile. "Connor, the fact that you care is amazing. But you aren't getting it, we are fighting spirits and demons... You can't win a simple war with the damned, you defend against it, you preserve life. Demons live off the battles they fight in, they feed off raw emotions and grow more powerful because of it. The way you slaughter demons is by living, smiling in the face of fear, and fighting with a pure heart, with kindness. Smiles, laughter, pleasure, and love do more harm to demons then you believe. Living and establishing a sense of peace is how you keep them at bay. They only win if you fall into the trap of war, and let your emotions control your actions. IF you go out there fighting along soldiers to end the demons, you'll only become a corpse on the field of battle, and as honorable as your actions are; it would be in vain." Lilen took a calming breath, and his eyes ordered for Connor to do the same.

Taking a deep breath, Connor sighed, "it feels wrong." Connor admitted and Lilen silently nodded, taking Connor and sitting him down in a nearby seat before sitting next to him.

"I know," Lilen agreed rubbing Connor's back, "But Connor, if you care, then be who you are. Help make people smile, feel safe, be kind and..." Lilen continued, smiling as he made a masturbatory gesture with his free hand, "Pleasure people." Connor laughed at the depraved joke, and shook his head while Lilen chuckled. "Are you saying I can fight a war by being a concubine?"

"All is fair in love and war... is the human saying, right?"

"I don't think that's how your supposed to use it." Connor sighed shaking his head, Lilen tapping his chest with the back of his hand. "Anything can be used to kill or protect, it just depends on how you use it. That is a Mincridarn saying, and remember it, you will get tested on it, ok?"

"Well I guess you did slay me yesterday with the twin blades between your legs." Connor smiled, something Lilen returned as a Mincridarn chuckled in the background; they kept quiet, only listening as they read a magazine, glancing up every now and then at Connor. However, with a unsettled heart Connor nodded, sighing as he accepted his new position in the war while he held Lilen's hand. He just needed to be close to someone while his heart and mind adjusted to the new ideas. "Yeah...ok." Connor finally said when everything seemed to settle just for the moment.

"Mind if I try the coffee?" Lilen asked nodding to the Thermos, only speaking when he felt Connor relax.

"Yeah, here." Connor agreed as he tipped the canister into Lilen's hand; Lilen sipped on his own mixed load. "It's a bit to thick for my taste." He criticized before handing it back.

"Thick? Your seed is like water." Connor countered, quietly rubbing shoulders with the shark.

"It's biologically thin, I can't help it." Lilen protested with a timid embarrassment, scratching the unease out of his triangular teeth, looking every where else but at Connor who soon pulled Lilen's head back towards him, and kissed his thin lips, "I wasn't making fun of you... I enjoy how thin it is. A thin seed can sink into the deepest places once shot."

"You are depraved..." Lilen chuckled quietly, giving a sharp kiss on Connor's neck, before glancing at the Elevator which dinged, the doors shifting and parting.

"I know." Connor agreed as Lilen grabbed his hand and pulled him towards the elevator, tugging him closer before wrapping an arm over Connor's shoulder.

-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-

The Elevator ride was a familiar rush, as the city 'downstairs' exposed itself with brilliant light, Connor's eyes adjusted quickly and before the doors even opened the spirits were revealed, the illusions torn away and the true expanse of reality was revealed. Connor's heartbeat with excitement as Lilen led the way through the pack sidewalks, and across streets with pacing 'horse' power. Market stalls and store fronts opened up to expose trinkets, and magical items that looked like they belonged in fantasy novels. Monster blood regents, horns and scales of demons and beasts. Scrolls, some simple, some confounding, as they shimmered with auras of circulating magic around the parchment. Weapons from simple to exotic, with gleaming silver edges were laid out on benches or hung on walls.

Lilen acted like a gushing parent, holding Connor back and telling him everything he knew about the magical items, and how they were made, while also introducing him to familiar faces, spirits and Mincridarins alike. Ever so partially dragging Connor, Lilen pulled Connor along the market stalls and compact streets until they came to the far side of the city and into a an amphitheater styled park, with stone step risers where beings lounged, talked and picnicked amongst crystals, and flowering garden beds. The center piece of this amphitheater was a quarter sphere of salt water, set into the wall and floor of the 'stage'. Blue runes encircling the orb shimmered, most likely a barrier spell to keep the water in place.

Lilen stepped down onto the stage, just as an aquatic Mincridarn stepped out into view, the sea scented brine pulled right off their body as they walked away, completely dry. "Take a deep breath Connor and hold my hand tight." Lilen cautioned, with a vague warning never spoken as he slowly approached the sphere and reached into the water. It was like a reflex, the water reached out and wrapped around Lilen's body; his gills erupted to life as he took a wet breath. Stepping deeper into the water, Connor held on just that much tighter as he took a deep breath and watched as the water dragged itself over his skin. The water however never left him drenched, it coated his skin but didn't seep into his bones, or soak his clothes.

Connor watched with stifled breath as he crossed the threshold and became surrounded with dark waters. Slowly and surely Lilen's tail flicked them downwards and they both leaned into the abyss before them. Sporadic crystals marked the route, though simple, each one marked several meters of the descending depths. But the darkness felt familiar, comfortable and safe, even though something deep in the back of Connor's mind told him that something was always behind him; following them. Connor's hand fell to his heart, knowing the comfort was a gift from the being residing inside, and then before he could even correct himself, he breathed.

Water filled Connor's lungs, and violated his body in ways he never thought possible, and he struggled to push it out. Connor couldn't breathe, until he felt fanged lips dragged the water from his lungs. Lilen's cold sand papery touch held Connor's face close as he inhaled the salt water in Connor's lungs and replaced it with lifesaving breaths. When done, Lilen capped Connor's nose and mouth with ice to prevent him from dragging in the abyss.

The cold ice was chapping, and just the faintest bit burning, but it helped even though it was meant to suffocate him on Lilen's warm breath. After five minutes Lilen recycled more air into Connor's lungs, and then again, and again, every five minutes until they broke through the surface of the 'Depths'. The ice shattered around Connor's lips and he gasped for air, and panted as Lilen wrapped one arm around his waist and helped the human tread water.

Connor leaned into Lien's arm breathless and limp, still recovering from the near constant lack of air. "Hey, just get on, I'll carry you." Lilen directed as he helped pull Connor on to his back. Connor didn't argue, he just wrapped his arms around Lilen's neck and watched as his trainer stepped out of the water like he was walking up stairs, and then across the water as if he was some kind of celestial being. The magical breeze that wafted over the water rolled over Connor's back like a blanket, and Lilen's soft sloshing steps were a lullaby that rendered him unconscious, exhaustion collapsing his mind as the world blacked out.
