Khan: Age 14

"Now class who can tell me why the Earth is an abandoned zone," Ms. Bianca asked.

My hand flew straight into the air; Ms. Bianca called on me, "Yes Hank."

"The Planet of Forgotten Children, as it is referred to by most religious groups, is abandoned due to a series of unfortunate events. First the near destruction of the planet, followed by total extinction of the sentient beings there, then the failed attempt to breathe life back into the planet, then the selling of rights to a mining corporation, which saw record deaths during the years of mining there, then they sold the rights to the Galactic Military, and following the start of the Great Religious War there was the interplanetary missile that had totally wiped the outpost off the face of the Earth, then being colonized by space pirates and Mafia or 'organized crime families,'" I explained.

"Very good," Ms. Bianca exclaimed, "I think that is the most informed answer I have received all day."

Later that day...

I was walking out of the school to the busses when the school bullies stopped me. Butch, the leader was about as dumb as he looked. His two companions Joe and Stu were if possible dumber than a bunch of rocks. I actually think that they took an I.Q. test and scored a negative number, heck even a rock can get a positive number on it. They were unfortunately the bullies of the school and felt threatened by me on more than one level.

"Where do you think you're going smart stuff? We have a bone to pick with you," Butch said.

"Uh... home, like you should be," I said innocently.

"Tough mouth coming from a kid whose brother isn't around to protect him anymore," Butch said while his two cronies just chuckled.

"I don't need my brother to fight my battles for me," I said.

"Well let's go then, me and you right now," he said.

"I don't want to fight you, but if your primitive cranium feels like it's necessary then I guess I've no choice in this conundrum," I said deliberately using big words to throw him off.

"What the heck are you saying you little midget," he said taking a step forward.

I calmly took my backpack then school jacket off and then I folded it up, putting it over on my backpack I raised my hands and moved into a position of an ultimate fighting stance I learned from training videos. I motioned for him to make the first move. He made for an uppercut but I blocked it. I did this for ten minutes before I finally had enough of it and in rapid succession hit him in the nose three times, kicked him once and gave him a full arm bar. I stopped and took him to the nurses. His cronies following behind him like the lapdogs they were. She asked me how it started; I then said he started it and that I finished it. His cronies agreed with me.

"I didn't draw any blood, just did enough to knock him out for a few hours, school cameras will also support this," I said.

"Well your parents are still going to have to be told," Nurse Joanne said...

Khan: Age 26

Oh my head... it feels like a ship fell on top of it. Technically one did but still I'm damn lucky I'm in the med bay. I reached for fast acting, extra strength headache medicine and took four of the damn things. Two of those things never worked for me. I looked over at ted and it looked like he was fine. I decided to see if Abby was ok. I walked back out into the hallway and headed to the very back of the ship. The door to the engine room was gone, at the end of the hall where it had been there was a solid wall of Adamant. Printed on it was "This is the result of a complete engine seal, the emergency seal can only be removed from inside. Report to the ship captain if there has been a mistake so that they may provide you with a molecular destabilization torch." Reading it I said to no one in particular "Well fuck"

I went to the weapons locker in order to get this problem sorted out. Ted was trying to open the thing having just woken up and failing to get it open, "Here let me try mine," I said. Not knowing the combination for the damn locked I decided to rip it off its hinges. I then grabbed my Bunker Buster (hypo filtrating kinetic extrapolation unit) before I heard Abby's voice suddenly "This is an automated warning. The ship has crashed and I sealed myself in the engine room. Unfortunately I seem to have not been able to stabilize the core. This ship is going to explode and my engine will destroy everything in a 500 foot radius even with the shielding, actually you have the shielding to thank for why it isn't a solar mile radius. Anyway, whoever you are you need to move quickly. You have about 2 and a half minutes to move. If this is what you're hearing then the ship is no longer detecting my life signs. Move quickly."

"Fuck, Ted get your shit, we have to get out of here now," I shouted. I ran back to my room and grabbed things that were important to me. I opened the air lock grabbed Ted along with the rest of the equipment, "hold on Ted." I jumped out and unfurled my wings. I flew fast and hard, it seemed like only a few seconds passed.

"Hey Khan it's been more than two minutes and the ship hasn't blown up yet," Ted said. I landed and set Ted and the equipment down, "Stay here, and make sure you don't get found." Looking at it closely I saw a figure start to come out of the ship. Ignoring Ted and dropping my things I quickly opened my wings again and flew low and fast. Within 20 feet of the figure I landed and saw that it was the same general size and shape of Abby. Getting closer I saw that whoever it was had a jacket on, throwing shadows over their face and body. Once I was within 5 feet I heard laughter and Abby's voice, a little distorted, but it was Abby who said "I survived, not sure you'll ever want to sleep with me but I survived, something I can't say for my poor ship."

"Look I haven't felt this way about anyone in my life except for one other person, and she's dead. It's kinda hard to talk to you with your face covered up could you take off all of this crap covering your face," I asked.

Pulling her jacket off I saw a number of her scales had fallen off and in some places the muscle underneath showed. The same was happening all over her body as well. Looking her over again I saw that she had two of her guns attached to her back. Watching my face she said "You're disgusted by me aren't you."

"Look there was more than one reason why I didn't have sex with you, and that's because I'd out live you," I started to explain, "You would have lived to 150 without any kind of medical problems, I would have lived way beyond that, we live to 1300 with medical conditions, it wouldn't have been fair to either of us. You would have kept aging and it would look like I had only grown a few years, we don't age as quickly. A father, in my opinion, should never out live a child, a powerful enough pain has killed before."

Glaring at me she said "That's about as crappy a reason as you could have, and that doesn't really answer what I asked. If you're goanna give a speech on not wanting me because we're different species don't bother. Also I'm fairly certain that I'm sterile now so that last reason you said is null and void."

"I am more attracted to you now than ever before. I did a research project on husks and I even visited a colony that was entirely husks, and they are fertile and in some cases hyper fertile," I said.

Laughing she said "What does that mean, does a guy just stick it in and the girl is pregnant. Besides, who knows what effects my being like this will have on any kids we might conceive." Waving her hand she said "Ignoring that topic for now, what do we do now, you and I are armed and skilled enough to take on a battalion and win but we just lost our food supplies."

"Well I know we are on Earth. I think we should get back to Ted, they've probably found him already," I said. "Oh, before I forget I got these for you," I continued as I pulled out a black box.

Taking it she said "Considering you said these I'm fairly certain it's not a ring." As she opened it i saw the smile spread across her face and she said "They're beautiful!" Grabbing her coat she pocketed the box and threw on the coat while saying "Most aren't going to be as good about how I look, and what do you mean they?"

Ted: Age 30

Where the hell is he? I can't believe that he just took off. I get stuck here as a bloody guard over a bunch of crap in the middle of nowhere. Stay here and don't get found who the hell would be out here this place is a damn wasteland. I felt a hand fall on my shoulders.

"Who the hell are you and what are you doing here," a voice asked as two wolves with some huge guns stepped in front of me.

"Um... I'm Ted and I am here with someone else he just left I'm sure he'll be back soon," I said in a panicked voice.

"Yeah we'll see about that buddy," he said as I felt a muzzle pointing to my head.

"Sir, looks like we got company," The wolf to the right said.

"Hold your fire boys, looks like you might not die alone in the dirt trespasser," he said.

Khan

Looks like Ted was found by them. I sped up, since no doubt they'd be ready to kill him, we are a very territorial group, hell, we know immediately if someone enters on our territory. When there was about 20 feet left I glided down to the spot.

"Okay, he's with me, let him go," I said to the wolf leader, something about him seemed strangely familar.

"Wait, holy crap, boys look at who it is, it's the little idiot," he said.

"Hey Butch, still stupid I see. I am part of the family and clearly by your ring you are too," I said as I turned around and removed my shirt and turned around and showed him my back.

Commenting Abby said "So you won't strip for me but you will for him?"

"You've seen me without my shirt on, plus you never asked me to, you've forgotten that I was in prison for a decade so I was constantly dressed, I forget about it from time to time, besides he can't kill me knowing that I have this," I said.

"So what, like I care, I'll just say I didn't see it," he said as he raised his gun.

Clearing the distance between me and him I disarmed him and punched him right in face four times. I then picked up his gun and shot him in the face five times. "Anyone else want to act like you never saw this symbol because I'll kill you right here just like the code says," I said. They didn't say anything. "Good," now let's get out of here you two lead the way," I said as I bent down and took his ring.

"The fact that I've seen you without your shirt is beside the point." Abby said as she knelt down and quickly striped Butch of everything but his clothes. Holding up a set of fuel cells she found strapped to his gun arm she said "This marking, does your family own Synthetics Incorporated?"

"Yeah, we have to keep a front up for the Peace Officers. The factories that are on other planets make sanctioned weapons then a few shipments come here and get modified and shipped back out," I said.

Laughing she stood up and said "I made a modified energy cell about 6 years ago, I sold the rights to them, I still get nice checks every month from that deal." Gesturing to the other two she said "Why haven't you moved, I want a test run on me when we get to your base."

They led us back through the way they came. About thirty minutes later we arrived at the mouth of a cave. I wasn't surprised since it was fact that most of the entrances were subterranean. It took about another ten minutes till we got to the steel doors I walked to the front and pressed the ring into a console and the door started to open. A few seconds later a vid screen turned on and I saw the form of my mother.

"Welcome home sweetie, glad you made it ok, these two will show your friends to their rooms and you come down here and see us. Your friends will be escorted to us once they are situated," She said in her usually cheery way. The vid screen snapped off at that point but I know she could still see us. As Abby walked by me I grabbed her arm and kissed her right on the lips. She was tense at first but I felt her loosen up and lean into the kiss. As we broke the kiss I saw her smile extremely widely in the shadow of her hood as she left to be lead to her room.

I remembered the way to the main living quarters for the family. While I headed in that direction, I passed by several workers and thugs who saluted me. I just ignored them and kept on walking towards the main living area. It took about ten minutes before I found the door to the main living area. I entered the door immediately I was hugged by my mother. I expected this and the aroma in the air. She's always cooking something, whether it's a plot or a pie.

"Did they feed you well while you were in prison," she asked letting me go.

"Nah just bread and water," I said.

"Well, no wonder you look like a stick," she said, "come now, I have your favorite dessert ready."

I followed her into the kitchen. It had a very modernistic look, and like everything else you could not find a speck of dirt on the floor or counters. She pulled out a seat and motioned for me to sit down. As I did, she cut off a piece off of the pie. "So have you been with her," she asked bluntly.

As soon as she asked I choked on the piece I had just put in my mouth, "Um, No current events haven't allowed us to sleep with each other."

"So then what was that very passionate kiss about," she demanded.

"Well I have confessed that I am very attracted to her," I said.

"Oh, well that makes it better," she said, "not."

"Look ma, I didn't travel all this way to be lectured," I said.

"Fine, so how are you feeling," she asked.

"Good, I guess, no problems with the Peace Officers; had to kill a traitor who decided that he would say he didn't see the tattoo," I said calmly. Just as I said it Ted and Abby walked in.

Looking at Abby I saw she had the sense to keep the jacket on. As she waved at me I noticed she had replaced the studs in her hands with the ones I had given her. "So, are you two together," my mom asked Abby.

Pausing for a moment Abby replied "Depends on your definition," with a wicked grin on her face. Moving faster than I thought possible she had the two guns she used with her main paws and said "He bought me these." With the way she held her hands one couldn't be sure whether she meant the guns or the studs.

"Well then why haven't you two had sex yet," she said in her sickly sweet voice. "If you two are together then you should have had sex by now."

Shrugging Abby replied "He didn't want to so soon after meeting." As she put her guns away I realized I couldn't see her guns besides the two on her back.

Snorting loudly she said "Very well, so why don't you take off that heavy coat you must be boiling in that thing."

Laughing she replied "Are you kidding, this planet is freezing and your home is no exception."

A few hours passed, I introduced Abby to my dad and he immediately liked her. "Well, Ma, Pops, it's been a long day and I think Abby and I need some alone time. I was also wondering if we could get a specialist out to our crashed ship and assess the damage," I asked.

Interrupting Abby put in "Tell them to be careful, the engine is still unstable and putting off over 5 million rads a minute." Grabbing her hand I pulled Abby along to my room. Once there she asked "So was I right to keep the jacket on?"

"Yes, my parents are close to a millennium old so they are very traditional, meaning they don't like Husks. My dad would be okay with it, my mom though, she would probably die if she thought I was even considering dating a husk, let alone that I'm willing to bind myself to the very beautiful one before me." I said.

Stripping off the jacket and dropping the two guns on her back to the floor she said "Well then I suppose it's a good thing I'm used to varied temperatures." Moving her hands quickly to her hips I saw them disappear into hidden pockets and pull back out her other two guns before throwing them with the first two. "So, since you don't seem to have an objection and your mother seems to want us to have sex..." Stripping her shirt she crawled over to me.

"Well I don't see why not, though just don't tell her because about a millennium a year ago dragons really didn't get married they married by having sex," I said.

Grinning she unbuttoned my pants with her tongue and teeth. Before pulling them off she said "Deal, just agree to be the one to tell my parents we're getting married."

"Deal," I said.

Several hours of ecstasy later...

"Damn... you definitely rocked my world. I think I see why lizards evolved such long tongues," I said.

Grinning up at me from my side she said "It's pretty useful at times. So how long do you think we'll be here, I don't precisely mind wearing the jacket, it covers my gun after all, but I rather like close fitting clothes over such bagginess."

"Long enough to have your ship repaired. I know I can get the information in a few minutes, all I need is the information on the PO's and the judges that's all I need," I said.

Rolling out of the bed she asked "So are you trying to clear your name?" while heading for the shower.

"Yeah, that's the plan. After I get information from each one I will get them to confess and if they don't then they're being stupid," I said following her.

Looking over the settings on the shower she commented "You have acid banks for the showers, that's rather useful, I think I'll pass on using that function since my scales aren't intact anymore." Turning the acid off and the heat all the way up she then said "I'll help you get information out of them; I know exactly how much electricity to use for the different types we'll encounter."

"Yeah that would probably help, and of course if they live on anything taller than 100 feet dangling them over the edge helps too," I said thinking about finding someone who could get us married.

As I watched she pulled out her piercings quickly while turning on the water with her tail. When she was done I saw she had over 100 piercings in varied places over her body. Kissing me on the lips she drew me into the hot water and said "After you tell my parents I know someone who can marry us."

"I would like to tell them in person," I said, "is this guy also on the same planet?"

Nodding she said "Yeah, he is, he won't mind helping his childhood friend get married. I think he'll be more surprised by me being a husk than asking him to marry you to me."

"Yeah, I could understand that. I think I'm having second thoughts about killing that guy," I said.

Beginning to scrub my back Abby said "The one from earlier, Butch was it, he was going to kill you, if people cross you, teach them a lesson, and you said that the family rules were that you should kill him for even saying that, that's what you said at least, did that sentence make sense?"

"That's the crime family's rules, and by doing that I think I'm becoming more and more what they called me which was a monster. Not only that he was a little slow I kicked his ass everyday when we were in high school. My brother was in a juvenile criminal detention center and my brother protected me and when he left there were no rules," I said.

Laughing she climbed over to look me in the face she said "I graduated what you call high school when I was 12, There is a reason why I'm capable of carrying a gun that weighs as much as I do, even if 100 pounds isn't that much weight. Now, I know that probably doesn't seem to relate. But the point I'm getting to is this, never doubt your first instinct when it comes to your life, whether it's who your date or who you kill. Getting a taste for killing is what you need to be careful for, there are those who are true monsters but you aren't one."

"Yeah thanks Abs. I'm glad I've found someone to be there for me when I need them," I said turning my head to kiss her. I really do love her, and she is beautiful to me in every way. Feeling her drop off my shoulder and run a finger up the inside of my leg I reached around and turned the sound dampeners on again.
