chapter six: relative unknown.
{soon after volteer left, spyro and cynder huddled close together and fell asleep on the floor for real.}

"where am i?-am i?-am i?-i-i-i... HELLO-ello-ello-ello... cynder?-cynder?-cynder?..." spyro yelled aloud, his voice echoed around him into pitch black surroundings. he couldnt see anything. "CHRONICLER?!" no echo anymore. 'this is a vision, but not visible to those with plain of eye. only seen to that of chosen, power true divine.' something said into his thoughts.
"wh-what does that mean? what divine power? HELLO?!"
no reply.
{spyro was slightly spooked but soon started pacing. he knew these dreams. unless he solved the riddle he wouldnt wake up. he had been knocked out for two days cold for being unable to solve a scientific equasion disguised as a joke about rocks.}
"my breath?" he tried blowing a bit of fire out, nothing. he tried electricity and earth, nothing. "cmon ice" he said aloud, and huffed out a huge cloud of snow. nothing. "dang it!"
then he noticed something. the breaths didnt die out, but started to form in thier own clusters on all sides of him.
"what the..." all the clusters started compacting, soon they were floating balls of elemental mass. "holy shit..." spyro absently swore, and mentally kicked himself for it.
{the four suddenly rose into the air higher, above his head, and started swirling. they sped up, faster, faster, faster! spyro was mesmerised. they were now a halo of red cyan yellow and emerald. and they crashed together! the force of the impact sent spyro spinning several feet away.}
"what the?!" now hovering towards him was a ball of the four elements, illuminating his surroundings. it rose to the sky, and soon dissapeared from sight, to be replaced by the moon.
he was in some forest or other, and he saw a dragon walking through the trees.
its scales glinted many colors, like a dim rainbow. as he peered harder he saw purple amongst them.
suddenly the dragon stopped, and its tail stood erect.
"nova!" the dragon yelled, and a light blue dragonfly appered at his side.
"nova, reveal the unseen." as the dragon spoke, the dragonflu flew high with a nod. she spread her arms wide, and moonlight seemed to radiate inside of her. she curled in a ball and flung her arms and legs out wide again, and waves of white sparkles surrounded the area, hovering everywhere in the air.
'this cant be good...' he thought.
{one of the white spays landed on his tail tip. suddenly, all of the others flew to him, and stuck to a different spot on his sales. soon he was covered in hundreds of them, and they sunk into his skin.
the rainbow dragon stepped forward and gasped.
spyro cocked his head, and debated running ar fighting. he chose the first.
as soon as he tried to raise his leg, it was glued to the spot by white specs that flew out of his foot, which seered in pain.
struggling desperately to get away, he tried to fly, to break away from the specs, kiking, thrashing, but all of it was stopped by the specs. his wing felt numb.}
"stop! stop! stop! that wont help!" the dragon yelled to spyro.
something in the dragons voice made him stop. it sounded exactly like spyros.with a more... feminine touch to it... he froze and looked toward the rainbow dragon.
"im aurora." the dragon said at last. "s-spyro? thats really you?" she asked, slightly shaken.
{he managed a nod, throughly spooked being trapped by some dragonflys random excess moon-power-spec-things.]
aurora stepped forward and rubbed the side of her head against his. "its good to finally see you..."
spyro tried to jerk away, but the specs limited it to inches. "hey! stop! im mated!!!"
her eyes went wide and she stepped back, blushed. "oh, sorry, i didnt mean it like that..."
"who are you?!" spyro yelled.
"spyro- im your sister. ive been searching the gem mines the past few months looking for you..."
as she spoke, spyro stared with his mouth unhinged and his eyes wide. the scene started to disolve, the dream was ending.
"aurora! aurora! meet me at the dragon temple!" he yelled.
"where?!?"
"the dragon t-" his words were cut short as the scene ended.
"SPYRO!!!" cynder yelled in his ear.
"WHA! FLAGH- BAH- mah... c-cynder? what?!?" he yelled, out of breath
"spyro youve been asleep for days!!!"
"WHAT?!" he yelled.
" i had to tell the guardians what happened, last week... or, last night as you remember it....they say they didnt know what-"
"dream. chronicler. sister." he said, trying to gather himself.
"wait.." cynder said. "what, what, and WHAT!?" she said, yelling herself.
spyro shook his head, and caught his breath.
"i had a dream. something happened to my breaths. they... mended... and i- i met my sister..."
he tried to get off the bed he was placed in, but winced in pain. his front left leg was searing his flesh and scales.
"spyro! your leg... they dont know how, but its non functional. your wings are weak too... it happened out of nowhere last night, over nothing..." she tried to keep him on the bed, but they knew he wasnt going to stay.
"shes in the gem mines- gah!" he winced in pain as the leg touched the floor. "ive got to find her."
cynder had a feeling they were going on another adventure. "ok." she said. "im going with you."
spyro sighed and stared at the celing. "i had a feeling you would say that..." he said.
with that, in the span of two minutes, a new adventure began. they decided against telling the guardians, as hearing about spyros sister would cause an uproar.
the two left everything and set out. the flight to the gem mine was a mere ten minutes... but the quest afterwords would be much longer.
