Mistaken Influence

A small break from fantasy to explore a bit of bitter reality, alcohol on the lips, felines locked together, nothing good and everything beautiful coming from a drink gone too far.

A bittersweet scent wafted in the air with a hint of something acrid. Digits wrapped around cool glass giving a mind a place to anchor themselves while fog started clearing for a bit. It wasn't the first time that Quinn had blacked out for the evening and it certainly wouldn't be the last. They were sitting on the couch looking up at the ceiling of an apartment that didn't belong to them with their arms stretched over the spine and a frown cutting across their features. Quinn was a black-furred feline with a lithe build made up of sharp edges and angles wearing a disheveled coat and jeans with the button popped off for comfort. In one paw, they held a bottle of beer but that wasn't the only one they had downed. What were they doing here again? Right. Misery. They'd lost another job and wanted to whine but their closest friend hadn't been answering any calls so they decided to slink into his apartment with the key they had been so graciously gifted. So, here they were, drinking their friend's beers while waiting for them to come home in the dark just to complain, just to whine. Honestly, maybe it would be better if they blacked out again before Malin got back home. Their ears flicked back as they heard the sound of the door opening and their eyes closed while steps approached until the light was flicked on and then a pause in the steps. Damn.

"Quinn...Quinten, is that you?" Said a soft voice, the second name dripping with concern.

Quinn groaned, their full name nearly sobering them up entirely, "Don't call me that.

Steps came closer until they felt digits pressing against their head and another set being gingerly placed on their arm while the soft voice came again, "You know, I really gotta stop buying beer if you're going to be doing this regularly. What happened?"

They opened an eye to see the worried eyes like gentle leaves staring at them full of life. That was Malin. White-furred and short with a sort of softness that countered nearly every hard edge they had to offer. He was dressed in a jacket and what looked like a skirt. Was that new? Or did they always dress that cute? After a few semi-drunk moments, the gears in their head churned together lubed by alcohol to remind them that Mila could wear whatever they damn well pleased and could look good in it.

When the question Malin asked was repeated, Quinn sighed, "Lost another one. Boss said I was dumb as bricks when I put something up in the wrong place."

Malin frowned and shrugged out of his jacket to reveal a thin tank top beneath, the white-furred feline grabbing a bottle from the coffee table and moving to sit next to Quinn as he sniffed, "Wasn't it your first day?"

"Yeah."

"They didn't bother explaining much except that you needed to put stuff down someplace, right?"

"Yeah."

"Then why get pissed if they didn't explain the job properly?"

Quinn sighed, feeling far too sober suddenly, "Dunno. Think it was that I put a box in storage that was supposed to go out to delivery but it wasn't marked. Or rather, no one explained the specific locations of boxes that are supposed to go out or come in, or maybe I'm just dumb and made a stupid mistake. Either way, first mistake and got canned. Maybe I got some sort of bad name in the employment circles or something."

When they went to take another drink, a soft touch at their wrist stopped them, Quinn looking over at the other feline as Malin muttered, "You don't have to drink yourself under, y'know? There are other ways to destress."

They thought about it for a moment before answering with a dry tone, "I could always call up an ol' squeeze or two and spend the night in absolute sexual rapture until the next morning when I'm recharged and ready to meet the day with a smile."

Blessed Malin beamed, "That sounds good!" They fixed their darling friend with a look, one with a raised brow and the smallest hint of a pathetic smile until Malin's cheeks flushed with red beneath the fur and he looked downward, "Ah. That was sarcasm."

"Yup. Never was good at socializing and I'm not cute as a button like someone 'round here so my options are limited to basically a fleshlight back home named Malin." They took a long pull of their bottle while Malin coughed, letting him soak it in for a bit before pulling their mouth back to breathe out, "A joke."

Even through the tingling numb of alcohol they felt a sharp jab to their side as Malin scoffed, "Not even funny for a second then."

Another pull of their bottle and they were starting to feel that sweet sensation again, that fog rolling through blotting their senses and bringing them down and away from the stress. When they set the empty bottle down on the table, "Listen, I can't help it if you've got a cute tail. What I was really hoping for, was to get you drunk enough that I could do something I regret and forget all about that stupid job."

When they looked at Malin, his cheeks were bright red and a deep frown was lining his face, they sensed another jab coming but instead, he sniffed, "You're an idiot. If you were planning on getting me drunk for that then you'd at least buy something to drink other than the shitty beer I have in my fridge and you wouldn't have drunk most of it before I got back."

"C'mon, y'don't know that! There's enough to get a lightweight like you tipsy." Said Quinn as they grabbed another bottle to crack it open.

Malin rolled his eyes with a small smile, "I'm a lightweight because I don't drink and it doesn't take just one bottle. Is this your way of trying to seduce me? Because it kind of sucks."

"Is it working?"

"I just said it sucks."

Quinn snickered as if they had made the greatest joke while leaning against their friend with a stupid grin, "So what sucks? You or me?"

Their friend frowned again but Quinn kept the same doggish grin, tail flicking from side to side until that frown melted and Malin laughed, palm thrusting out to push them away just a bit, "Oh shut up! We've never even looked at each other that way so I have no clue who would be sucking who."

Continuing their role as the drunken fool, Quinn puffed their chest up and pointed with a claw, "I'll have you know that I'm the picture of power and that my fat dick would be blessing those pretty lips of yours."

Again, the fluster in that snowy fur began to grow while Malin cleared his throat, "That so? Bet you can't even get it up with how drunk you are."

They took a long pull of their bottle before setting it down on the coffee table with a cough, "Listen. I'll pull my dick out right now and regret it later but if I can get it up, how about you take care of it, and if I can't then I'll pass out on you and pay for the beers."

Silence touched the air between them, buzzed state keeping them from feeling awkward as Malin muttered, "Okay. Sounds fair enough."

Quinn wasn't so drunk that they couldn't realize how odd this was that they were just about to do this with a friend who seemed sober enough to say no to a stupid idea but at the same time, the thought of those delicate digits on their dick had their thoughts preoccupied along with that pleasant buzz tugging back at their inhibitions. Careful digits came down to unbutton their jeans before they realized that was already done. They paused a bit before pinching the zipper between two claws and dragging it down. A thumb then hooked through the waist of their jeans and boxers to push on both enough that their ebony shaft flopped out, not quite hard but not quite soft. They took one look at Malin's blushing face, one look at that surprised gaze full of wonder, and their shaft was already starting to grow. It wasn't from thinking about those soft digits on their cock, rather, their lips meeting. Before Malin could open his mouth to call defeat, Quinn found themselves leaning over the other, lip to lip uncertain who started the kiss.

Everything moved in quiet flashes, paws pressing against their chest but not truly pushing, lips locked together, and tongues darting between. Breaths coming out heated until they were both left panting, heads pressed together while Malin spoke quietly, "I didn't think you were going to just kiss me like that.

Quinn had a moment of sobriety where they realized what they were doing was a bit too far. The warmth budding in them, the pressure between their legs twitching and begging for release did not stop despite the shame they felt pulsing at the back of their head, "Sorry. Don't know what came over me."

They winced as Malin flicked their head, "Alcohol but apparently not enough that you can't get it up. If you're that pent up then I guess I could let you get away with this."

Their cheeks flared, head shaking as they muttered, "What? No. I wouldn't want to impose. You've got a boyfriend, right? He'd probably get annoyed."

Gentle digits touched their cheeks focusing their eyes on the verdant greens swirling in Malin's gaze, "You're drunk...We don't have to talk about it afterward but go ahead and use me. I already told my boyfriend that he doesn't control my body and he grumbles about it but agrees so if he has a problem he can take it up with me."

Quinn's lips came down to capture Malin's. Whether it was from the alcohol or a lack of general sense, they accepted the other's offer without complaint. Tongues met between lips, digits clawed and grasped at random spots until clothes began to peel off and fall to the floor. Their heart felt heavy in their chest as they kept on going through every motion with a hunger that had existed at the back of their mind ever since meeting Malin for the first time. They wanted to pull back and say that this was wrong, that they shouldn't push the other like this but Malin's touch kept on bringing them back in, or at least, that was the excuse they needed to continue.

At some point, they needed to pull back to let Malin get up and stride away to fetch their something. They watched that rounded rear and plump body move with a fire dancing deep within the foggy depths of their alcohol addled mind. Quinn fought to keep some sort of remorse at the forefront to keep themselves from enjoying this too much but it got harder and harder as they kept on watching the other walking away and then coming back. Difficulties holding back only seemed to pile on as Malin handed them a cool bottle full of some sort of viscous liquid. They opened their mouth to make one last attempt at setting things straight while the butterflies in their gut were still urging them to act on more than primal hunger. Those words were cut off as they saw Malin bend over on the couch, rear raised in the air, both paws grabbing onto his plush rear to spread it wide and reveal a pretty pucker kissed by pink. They couldn't help it, they squeezed out the lube onto their paw and began working that rear apart, two digits pushing in before a third slid inside to join them. Quinn kept on stretching their rear and perhaps should have done so for a bit more but they were hungry and whatever shame had kept them from losing themselves was slipping away leaving only their lust.

Quinn had a few problems getting their cock inside of that tight hole mostly because their vision had begun to blur and their mind had turned to lustful mush. They could barely understand what the other was saying, even as Malin turned on their back to help them bring their shaft inside with patient digits. Once they felt the head of their cock spreading that tight hole, their hips jerked forward and Quinn grunted. Malin gasped, paws moving to clutch their back while his words came out as quiet pleas for Quinn to go softer but the drunk feline could only bring their hips forward again and again while muttering something intelligible about love. Even at the moment, they weren't quite sure whether or not what they were saying was something they were ready to share but it came out regardless. How much the other mattered to them, how many times Malin had saved them from being alone and full of heavy thoughts that threatened to drag them into the abyss. There were so many little admissions of need and love that they uttered while rolling their hips, in between moans and sighs that curled through the air joining the song of their hips meeting together over and over again. Malin's little whimpers and pleas soon ended as his shaft twitched and hardened in response to his rear being pounded so thoroughly. The words caused the chubby feline's body to shudder, ears drawn back, eyes shut tight but Quinn didn't want that. Quinn wanted Malin to look at them. They pecked and bit Malin's neck until those eyes opened and Quinn brought themselves back, stopping for a second to look into those lovely forests, bodies trembling before they both moved to curl together, lips planted against one another's while their hips resumed.

At some point, they felt their orgasm pour out into the other's rear, everything growing almost hot enough to make them fade into darkness but they willed it away and kept on rutting their hips forward while locked in a deep kiss they hoped never ended. They kept on going, kept on pushing until the darkness took them, and sleep forced Quinn to stop.

The sun hit them at some point and so did the headache brought on by dehydration along with a kiss of bitter and sour flavors mixing in their mouth. Quinn murmured and turned on their back, falling off of the couch with a groan while slowly opening their eyes to look up at the ceiling of an apartment that didn't belong to them. When they sat up, they realized they were nude and their eyes grew wide as every memory from last night played back in their mind. They hadn't been so drunk that they could forget what had happened and when they looked around, they noticed that they couldn't find Malin. What had they done? They had violated one of their only friends in a drunken stupor. Every little tickling sensation at the back of their head told them that they were a horrible person, that they should never touch another bottle for the rest of their life and it would serve them right if Malin hated them. They shut their eyes tight and tried to quiet the voices but could do nothing as the heat pressed down on them until they felt a soft touch at their head.

Quinn looked up into the worried green of Malin's gaze, heart racing while they tried for an apology, eyes misting up but before they could say a thing, Malin spoke quietly, "Hey...Hey, it's okay. I made a mistake. You were drunk and making offers that you shouldn't have but I wanted to take those offers a-and...I should have waited until you were sober to check with you. Do you hate me?"

"What?" Quinn blurted before they got up, nearly toppling over in the process before they wrapped their arms around Malin, "What the hell are you talking about? I thought I had done something fucking stupid, that I had hurt you but here you are apologizing?"

Malin smiled just a bit, "I guess we're both stupid for doing something like that. You were drunk and shouldn't have been so pushy but I shouldn't have urged you on like that. Do you...Maybe wanna talk about a lot of the things you said last night if you remember them?"

Their cheeks burned a bit while they shut their eyes, squeezing onto the other's shoulders tightly, "Help me remember?"

"Of course Quinn."

Together, they sat back on the couch to start talking about the things that had been said, which ones were true and why Quinn felt that way. They still ached from last night, still felt their heart tensing with every word because they had made a mistake but the conversation eased that pain even if they still felt like a monster for what they had done. Either way, Quinn figured they were done drinking after this.
