#49 of Patreon Reward Vignettes

Fourth Vignette for EonaRider

This time, Eon wanted one of my characters to stow him away on his person so he could see the world. Well, I happen to have an older character who specializes in stowing people away on his person, in a manner.

Contains: Size Difference, Magic Tattoos, Turnabout, Transformation, Absorption (kind of), Tattooification and Implications of Many More.

This was written as a reward for the $15 and $25 tiers on my Patreon! Again, people who pledge $1 or more can vote on polls. $5 or more you can add to the suggestion doc, which is where the ideas that get voted on on the polls come from.

Right now, the latest installment of Apex City, June's unpublished Vignettes and the July Vignettes so far are available to read for Patrons!

If you'd rather have more complete control of my creative output, consider commissioning me! If you'd rather just support me and don't want to commit to a monthly donation, I have a Ko-Fi.

Cosmo strode through the verdant wood, paws in his pockets. The small-clawed otter swished his tail idly as he walked, which simply showed off the spiral pattern of dye in his fur there. The albino lutrine clearly spent a lot of time making sure the 'tattoo' was clear on his white coat from how defined it was, despite the complexity of it. The marking faded from one color to the next, red at the tip and violet at the base, with the rest of the rainbow in between.

A rustling in the trees stopped the otter in his tracks. He turned towards the source of the sound, shifting his boots into a balanced stance, ready to move, as he removed his hands from his pockets. Elliptical orange swirls were revealed on the back of his paws as they settled into place like a gunman's hovering above his holster.

The rustling continued, and then the great head of a dragon pressed forth from the trees. "Greetings, traveler." The tall beast strode into the open ahead of the stationary otter, eyes trailing over his form. His white scales and feathers glistened in the sunlight as he kept his avian wings tucked to his sides. "I am Eon, the guardian of these woods."

Cosmo's stance had not changed, his gaze trailing over the body that towered over his own sixfold just to the shoulder. His pink eyes focused on the natural set of blades that adorned the tip of the dragon's tail, a blue trident coated in a protective waxy covering. "I intend no trespass upon you, Guardian." The otter said evenly.

Eon craned his long neck down closer to the otter, looking him over. "Indeed." He casually took another step closer, and then sat his hindquarters down on the mossy forest floor. Raising his head once again in a regal manner, the guardian continued. "You appear to be quite worldly, and can take care of yourself. Hardly a flinch at my presence."

The otter raised his brow, not breaking his ready pose. "What do you want?"

"Well normally I extract a toll from travelers." The dragon spoke smoothly, spreading his wings from his sides to gesture to the trees all around. "Preemptive recompense for damages that befall my woods." He brought his wings back to his sides fast enough to send a gust of air scented of dragon to ruffle the lutra's clothes and fur. "But I will waive this fee if you show me."

Cosmo brought his booted feet back together, standing more upright. "Show you what?"

"The world." Eon explained. "If you were able to hide me on your person and bring me on your travels, I will grant you passage through my woods."

The otter thought for a long moment, and then carefully began to unbutton his shirt with his webbed fingers. Easily dealt with, the garment was thrown open, revealing far more colorful patterns on his chest and stomach. He shook his elbows to remove his shirt entirely, revealing his arms as well. A purple serpent head was curled around the top of his arm from over his shoulder.

It was also moving. The snake twisted and wrapped another coil around the arm, towards the elbow as where it was coming from turned blue. Unseen by the dragon, the spiral around Cosmo's tail was slithering its way up his back to his arm.

Cosmo raised his hand, palm up in offering. The rainbow serpent's head reached the bare flesh of his paw pads. Instead of stopping, the colorful pattern pressed free of the white pelt, going from a flat design to a vibrant, three dimensional form in midair.

Eon watched curiously at this type of magic as the snake slithered up into the air, color by color escaping the otter's body. Free of the confines of white pelt, it swelled in size, past that of an anaconda. The dragon swallowed as he realized that its head had come to rival his own.

The guardian stood and took a step backward as the grand serpent made of pure color kept growing, its tail still just connected to the otter's wrist. "What are you doing...?"

Cosmo's serene expression turned into a smirk. "Taking you with me, as you asked."

The rainbow serpent struck, rapidly wrapping and coiling around the dragon. The snake of color constricted and pinned each limb with frightful efficiency, leaving the guardian quite helpless. It gave a firm squeeze, and something began to happen.

The dragon's body lost definition and shadow, simplifying in the chromatic coils. Eon squirmed to no avail as his white scales and feathers became... white color. He was being to converted into the same kind of being as the snake, and felt himself being pulled down.

The rainbow serpent's red tail coiled a loop around Cosmo's wrist, then another loop for the orange, and again... and again... Each twist of the snake dragged Eon closer to the otter's outstretched paw. The chromatic being hissed directly into the guardian's mind as it twisted and pressed his face down into the fur alongside it.

Eon quivered at the strange sensation of going from taking up three dimensions to becoming a flat pattern in the otter's fur. He squirmed, but the white pelt had a sort of pull, stronger even than gravity. The guardian's enormous body tapered and flattened into the pelt just like the snake.

The serpent twisted and continued to hold Eon, dragging him along the new topography of the otter's body. After a few moments, the snake stopped and let go, before slithering back down to Cosmo's tail to rest.

The otter picked up his shirt, putting it back on. On the side of his throat, almost invisible due to his coloration, was Eon's head, facing forward. The silvery and blue parts of his body showed far better, but, as was soon proven, those were easily hidden beneath the shirt as it was buttoned up. The forest guardian's head just barely poked out from under the shirt's collar when Cosmo finished.

Sighing, the lutra continued on the path. "Now just you relax. You've got a great vantage point to see the world compared to all the others..."
