Unlikely Companion chap. 8: The Hang Out
Chad started to fumble around the bed and woke up in a very dim lighting. As his eyes got adjusted to being in darkness, Chad noticed that the door was shut and windows and blinds were closed, making the room dark as night. Chad carefully got out of bed, still in nude, and pulled out the blinds-
Only for him to see that it was night outside. Chad then looked for the clock and saw that it was 12:23. He thought back and remembered that Nala and him finished around 3:30. With several possible hours of sleep left Chad crawled back into bed, but right before he closed his eyes, something ran across his mind.
Chad then hopped out of bed quietly, put on some pants, then quietly opened up the window and climbed around the roof until he was at the highest point. Chad stared up into the star lit sky and pondered some things.
Did he make the right decision? Did he make love with Nala too early? What would Will think about all this? Why does he still have strong feelings for Will? All these questions seemed to linger around Chad's mind as he tried to search for the answer.
Chad almost fell off the roof in shock when Nala popped her head up in front of Chad.
"What are you doing up here Chad?" She asked while tilting her head curiously. Chad sighed in relief that it was only Nala, and locked his gaze on the cat.
"I woke up in the middle of the night and I couldn't sleep." Chad said while keeping his eyes on Nala.
Nala then hopped up to join Chad on the roof next to him and rested her head on his shoulder.
"Chad, do you think we might have... rushed us a little bit?" Nala asked while looking up at the starry night sky.
Chad twitched his ears as he felt butterflies going around in his stomach for some reason.
"I don't know. I mean as far as I know, I didn't even know what love felt like 3 days ago. So I have no idea what to expect wiether it's too fast or what."
Nala twitched her ears and kept her eyes on the stars, absorbing what Chad was telling her. The two stared into the dimly lit, night sky for a couple minutes. Once the cold night air started nipping on Nala she got up and went back to her bedroom, as Chad followed her. The two then snuck under the covers and drifted back to sleep slowly.
Chad a little difficulty going back to sleep as he thought over something, but stopped and looked at Nala's innocent, tired face and forced himself to sleep.

The following morning went on as it did yesterday with Nala fixing her hair early, then Chad going in and taking a shower. Only this time Nala didn't take a picture of Chad.
The two didn't say much to another, but instead exchanged a kiss or two, or just watched them get prepared. When they were ready for another adventure in their boring school, Nala convinced Chad to leave pretty early, so they did.
Instead of taking their usual route, Nala took Chad over to one of her favorite places, Sugar And Cream. A café that was well known for their coffee and sweets. The café opened up about a decade back and became a very popular place for teens, making business become even better. Nala always came to Sugar And Cream on Tuesdays, since that was the day one of her friends worked first shift, at 6:30 in the morning.
As the couple arrived at the scene of the café, Nala discovered her friend pulling up and getting out of her car, then unlocking the doors to the café. Chad looked at his watch and saw that they were here a couple minutes early, 6:27.
Nala walked up to her friend, who was a black, female fox who looked like she was in her early 20's. The two talked, then Nala pointed over to Chad and signaled him over to met her friend. Nala's friend glanced up and down at Chad, taking a good look at him then smiled slightly.
"Well Nala, I always knew you had good taste in men." the vixen said while giggling softly.
"Chad, I would like you to met my good friend, Nichole." Nala said while Nichole unlocked the café doors and allowed the two in. Chad waved a bit shyly as he exchanged glances with Nichole.
"Nice to met you Chad. Nala's mentioned you a few times around here and I was starting to think that you were imaginary." Nichole cracked.
Nichole had brown eyes and a straight black coat, with the exception of her tail, which was grey around the middle and towards the tip. Her black hair looked relatively short, but it was tied back in a ponytail so Chad couldn't quiet tell. Her uniform was a simple white shirt that had a name tag with her name on it, and a black pair of pants.
Nichole opened up the doors, letting the two go inside to find a few tables and a counter where there were shelves of delicious looking treats that could soothe anyone's sweet tooth.
Pastries, cakes, pies, doughnuts, you name it and it was there ready to be devoured. Chad's mouth was watering as he planted his face up against the glass wall, as Nala and Nichole continued to talk.
"So that's him?" Nichole asked softly while starting up the coffee machines and the ovens.
"Yep, he's the guy. We even did it just last night." Nala said quietly while taking a seat over the bar and blushing.
"No way, for real?! Well don't just leave me hanging girl, I want details. Was he good?" Nichole asked while taking another good look at the canine, who was shifting his eyes back and forth through the sweets.
Nala blushed a bit brighter and nodded. "He was incredible, then again I've only done it once."
Nichole laughed a bit. "It's going to be a lot more fun the second time around."
"W-What?" Nala stuttered while blushing a little more. Chad glanced over at Nala when he heard this and stared at her while tilting his head. Nichole and Nala waved at Chad, who then rose up and looked around the café.
"Well you see, the first time is when you and your partner break in. That way, next time, he'll be more accustomed to you so he can be more, rough with you if you know what I'm saying."
Nala then blushed brightly and swayed her tail around while thinking about doing it again with Chad. "Sorry, should we get going Chad?" Nala said while realizing she had a cup of coffee in front of her.
"I made it just the way you like it. Don't worry about paying, seeing your boyfriend was plenty enough." Nichole said teasingly while waving the two off as they left the café with red faces.
"Why are all your friends attracted to me?" Chad asked while finishing his coffee and throwing the cup in a trash can.
"Guess you're just really sexy to us ladies, and who could blame them?" Nala said while clinging to Chad's arm and looking up at him slightly. Chad chuckled softly and kissed Nala on the nose which made her giggle and twitch her tail.
"So you like that Sugar And Cream place?" Chad asked while holding Nala close to him.
"Yeah, my parent's are actually friends with the owners of the store and Nichole is their daughter who also works there." Nala said while twitching one of her ears.
"So is it a family business?"
"No, they have other employs, Nichole just wanted the job there since it would be easy working with family."
"Oh, well good for her." Chad said while rubbing Nala's ears around the base, just the way she liked it. Nala started purring softly and nuzzled Chad's shoulder. Chad swayed his tail around and kept rubbing Nala's ears.
Nichole looked down the street and kept watching the two as she swept the floors of the café. Her phone was going off in her purse so she stopped what she was doing and glanced at who was calling. She squealed when she saw the name and picked up.
"Hey you... I'm doing good I just opened up the place so if you to come down... alright then I'll see you after work at 3 sweetie... bye."

Chad and Nala arrived at school a little bit earlier than they expected. A lot of eyes were on the two and it didn't quiet help that they were holding hands. Nala ignored the whispers and murmurs and kept her head up high, and even glared at a few kids who were saying things about her.
Chad gripped a hold of her hand tighter, to remind her that he was there with her. The two walked through the doors and after a minute or two, they parted ways to go to their classes, not before exchanging a small kiss.

For Chad, the day seemed to go right over his head since in Science, he couldn't quiet focus due to him telling Will all that has happened in the past 18 hours. Everything up till lunch was a complete bore for him and he couldn't stay focused no matter what he tried to do.
It all ended back to him fantasizing about something whether it be doing Nala again, messing around at Will's place again, or even beating Nick to a nasty pulp. When lunch did come around, Will and Nala sat with him, as well as one of Will's friends.
Except this one didn't want Chad to leave the school out of hatred or anything like that. In fact this one looked pretty shy and young. He was a quiet cheetah who seemed to have a very tight bubble and hardly muttered a word. This might be the effect of him being a freshman in a new school.
"I'd like you guys to met Jake. Jake, that's Nala and Chad, two good friends of mine who I'm sure you'll get along with." The cheetah waved slightly and blushed a little as he sat down beside Will, and across from Chad.
"Nice to met you Jake." Nala opened up. "I've never seen you around before, are you new here?"
Jake didn't respond but nodded slightly. "He just transferred schools so yeah, he's new here." Will said while looking over at the cheetah who looked really nervous with his head down.
Chad studied close at the cheetah and started to sympathize with him, since he knows what it's like to be alone in a school of unknown people.
"So Jake, do you want me to show you around school when were done with lunch?" Chad asked while trying to look into the cat's eyes, but couldn't since they were so low. Jake shook his head and kept his head low as his eyes darted around looking at his tablemates.
"Well you'll need to at least hang out at my house after school, we can have lots of fun there." Chad said while looking over at Will and Nala, letting them know that he wants them to come to. Jake rose up his head and stared into Chad's eyes, reading them.
"R-Really? You'd really want to hang out with me?" Jake said shyly as he kept his eyes on Chad. Chad nodded while locking his eyes with Jake, looking into them and seeing that all he wanted was a trust worthy friend.
Jakes eyes then started to glow slightly as he waged his tail and smiled warmly. The table then seemed to have a bright mood to it as everyone had a smile on and a happy demeanor.
"Have you ever heard of a café called Sugar And Cream Jake?" Nala asked.
"I love that place!" Jake remarked as he swayed his tail around a little more.
"Great how about we head there after school then over to Chad's. if you still want to." Nala asked while looking over at Chad to make sure that was alright, who nodded slightly.
"That sounds like fun, I can't wait." Jake said excitingly.
Nala giggled at this and seemed a little interested in him. "You must really like that place."
Jake nodded then blushed slightly. "Yeah I do, mainly because there's this cute bunny girl who works there."
Will smirked and gently nudged Jake. "So you've got your heart set on a cutie. Well we can help you win her over if you want."
Jake looked over at the husky and blushed a little more. "You would do that for me?"
"Well you're going to be the one wooing her, we'll just be giving you some advice before hand." Chad mentioned. Jake nodded slowly and kept his eyes on Chad.
"So do you know anything about her?" Will asked.
"Just that her name is Melanie." Jake said while blushing a little and swaying his tail.
"Alright, then after school you're hooking yourself up with Melanie." Chad said while holding out one of his paws as part of a promise. Jake looked at the paw then smiled lightly as he grabbed the paw and shook it.
"Now lets get cracking on how to pick up the ladies." Will said teasingly.

The school day was now over and Nick was leaving school, happy to get out of that hell hole for another few hours. He noticed something that bugged him a little, which was his older brother who had come to pick him up, which was never fun for him.
"What are you doing here?" Nick asked while approaching his brother's car.
"Mom wants me to pick you up since she had to leave for work early, that and I was heading out somewhere so you need to come with me as well."
"Whatever." Nick said while sighing and getting into the passenger side. "So where are you dragging me now? Another party so you can get your ass drunk?"
Nick's brother chuckled and drove out of the school parking lot. "No, we're going to go see my girl at work." He started to accelerate as he got out on the public roads.
"Great since you know how I love watching you two make out." Nick said while looking out the window, watching everything go by quickly.
His brother ignored that comment and kept on driving through the busy streets, as he then reached his destination. He pulled up the place and parked his car. "You coming in or what, I'll get you whatever you want."
Nick sat there, still watching out the window, then sighed as he got out of the car and went in with his brother.
The front door dinged to signify a costumer, and when the employee saw who it was she grew a great smile and wagged her tail. "Yay, you came!" A dark furred vixen squealed.
"Or course I came baby, hope you don't mind that I brought my little bro here." He said while giving a quick kiss to the girl.
"I don't mind at all. So why did you want to come here at Sugar and Cream Trey, well, besides seeing me?" Nichole said while wrapping her arms over the reptiles shoulders, and around his neck
"That's just it, to see your pretty face." Trey said while licking the tip of Nichole's nose which made the fox giggle.
Nick was sitting at one of the tables and groaned as he saw his brother's love fest. "Kill me now..."

The group of Nala, Will, Chad, and Jake, had left school and were heading on their way over to the café of Sugar And Cream to test out Jake's new tips he learned from all three of the other furs, and win Melanie over.
Chad and Nala were relaxing Jake and keeping him calm, while Will was behind them all, looking at the bond that Jake was started to form between them all. Will's ears then perked up high when he heard a familiar car engine come down the street. As the car screamed by, Will recognized it as Trey's car, Nick's brother and remembered the reptile who he used to consider a friend.
After a few minutes, the group had arrived at the café where Trey's car was parked in the empty parking lot. Will tensed up slightly as the others gave Jake a few more words of advice and prep.
They all entered the café and was greeted by a white, cute bunny behind the counter, who Jake blushed softly when he caught site of her. Nick was sitting away from them all so he hadn't even seen there faces, but he didn't really care if he did.
Jake started talking with Melanie and Nala decided to find a table but when she turned around and froze when she saw who was sitting there. Not because of Nick, but Nichole and Trey sitting together, since she was unaware Nichole had a boyfriend.
Nala then tried to get Nichole's attention, but that only caused everyone to look at her in curiosity, and when Nick turned around and saw the cat, he saw Chad and Will standing by each other behind her talking.
"YOU!!" Nick shouted loudly.
