Taking place some weeks after the events of "Friendly's New Friend", the nine-year old fox and four year old Timothy the raccoon head out on their bikes to the park, as the weather starts to brighten up after days of heavy rain. On the way they meet six-year-old Sarah the orange tabby cat and two-year-old Tanya the brown bunny. The two boys play at being big brothers to the girls, helping them out whenever they need it or just playing along with them. The dry spell isn't to last too long though...

Friendly and Timothy are my characters. Sarah and Tanya belong to OrangeTabby106 on FA.

Big Brothers to Little Sisters

Dewdrops glistened like diamonds in the thick, uncut grass as the weak spring sunshine struggled out from behind a blanket of thick, grey clouds, over the town of Wedgewood. It had been a wet, wet day with heavy rain falling from the sky. As the sun became stronger, many cubs whom had become bored with their video games and their parents insisting on them trying out dusty old boardgames - long since forgotten - ventured outside on their bikes, scooters and skateboards to enjoy what remained of the day.

A nine-year-old fox and four-year-old raccoon set off on their bikes for the park, together. The fox closed the door behind him and mounted his big, blue bicycle alongside his younger raccoon friend, who mounted his little red bicycle with training wheels.

"Come on, Timothy." the fox called to his friend as he set off down the street, beckoning the raccoon to follow him.

"Friendly! Wait for me!" cried the raccoon as he pedaled his little red bike as fast as he could, the training wheels scraping along noisily behind him.

Friendly slowed down and waited for his raccoon buddy to catch up with him at the corner of a cul-de-sac, glancing at some of the other cubs who were similarly heading to the park. A whirring noise and loud scraping reached the fox's ears, and his gaze turned down the aforementioned cul-de-sac. A little brown bunny, about two-years-old, was astride a big, red powered tricycle, the black plastic wheels scraping along the tarmac sidewalk as she steered it - her Mom intervening one or two times as she became too close to the road and was guided back to the far-side of the path. Behind her, an orange tabby cat with long blonde hair, wearing a green shirt and pink shorts was astride her little purple bike with metal training wheels, which clattered along behind her as she cautiously rode along at the rear. She looked to be about six years old.

"Friendly, why didn't you let me ride with you?" squeaked Timothy, panting as he brought his little red bicycle to a halt alongside, sitting propped up on his training wheels.

"Eh? Oh, sorry Timothy. I guess I was just anxious to get away from the house for a little while. It's about time that rain let up, eh? It's been miserable all week."

Timothy recovered and nodded. "I thought it would never be nice enough to ride my bike again!"

Friendly chuckled and pointed out the two young girls he'd noticed a few moments ago to Timothy. "Do you think they'd like to join us on our trip to the park?" he asked.

Timothy didn't look so sure. "Th... they're girls." he managed to answer.

"Aw, come on Timothy. Even girls like to play with boys sometimes."

"Well, we can ask." Timothy agreed, "But I'm still not sure."

The boys dismounted their bikes and crossed over to the left side of the road, Friendly led Timothy across safely. They then remounted their bikes and followed closely behind the two girls as they neared the park. The little bunny's mom pulled them aside by a bench. The cat stopped her bike over a rut in the path just beyond the bench, still sitting astride it with her training wheels keeping her balanced.

"Sarah, remember if you have to go to the restroom, you don't need to ask me for permission." said the momma bunny as she sat on the bench and rummaged around in a big bag that she was carrying with her, several white plastic-back diapers peeking out of it. "Tanya, pull your trike over so these boys can get past, there's a good girl."

The little bunny pressed the power button on her powered trike and steered it to the left, allowing Friendly and Timothy to ride past on their bikes.

"Thank you." Friendly said to her softly as he rode past.

Timothy stopped his bike over the rut in the path and similarly sat astride his bike with his training wheels keeping him balanced as he fidgeted with his orange flame shorts, hoping that they weren't revealing too much of his red training pants.

Sarah chuckled softly and looked at Timothy. The raccoon looked away bashfully and turned the pedals on his bike - but his bike just sat in place with the back wheel spinning helplessly. The tire groaned as it couldn't get any traction as it was high-centred by the training wheels. Timothy gasped, "Oh no! Friendly!"

Friendly heard his raccoon friend's cry for assistance and turned around, cycling back to his friend.

Sarah chuckled and turned the pedals on her bike - but similarly her bike's back wheel just spun helplessly as well as it had been high-centred by her training wheels. "Uh-oh!"

Friendly chuckled as he dismounted his bike and leaned it against the railings, pacing over to the struggling younger cubs.

"Here, let me help." he said softly as he gently put his paws on the seat of Sarah's bike, giving her a gentle push. Sarah looked back with a smile to the fox as she cycled on, her metal training wheels clattering along.

"What about me?!" squeaked Timothy, as he kept struggling with his bike.

"Sorry Timothy, ladies first you know." chuckled Friendly, as he then gave his raccoon buddy the gentle push he needed to get free of the rut in the sidewalk, too.

"What a helpful young soul you are." came the soft, feminine voice of the Momma bunny.

"It's no problem." answered the fox, "I'm Friendly."

"I'm Ms. Levine. The little girl you helped out is Sarah, and this is my daughter, Tanya."

Friendly turned his attention over to the little brown bunny sitting on her powered trike, who was wearing a lavender shirt, with dull-blue skirtalls over top. As she was sitting on her trike, her skirtalls inadvertently revealed her white, plastic diaper. Tanya bashfully pulled down her long, brown ears and hid her green eyes behind them.

"Awww, she's shy?" asked Friendly.

"Yeah, just a little bit. You're new, so she might be a little skittish."

Friendly nodded and stood behind the powered trike Tanya was sitting on. Her thick, straight headfur was cut short at shoulder-length, with a purple ribbon tying it into a bow.

Friendly watched as Sarah and Timothy rode off together into the park.

"Come on Tanya, let's go join Sarah." said Ms. Levine, as she stood up and walked off along the sidewalk towards the park.

Tanya pressed the power button of her trike and set off, the motor whirring and plastic wheels scraping along noisily.

Friendly retrieved his bike from the railings and paced along behind them.

For a little while, Timothy and Sarah rode around on the paths together astride their bikes, riding through the puddles that lingered on the tarmac. Friendly mounted his bike and rode along with them, putting his bike into the lowest gear to keep pace with the younger cubs.

"Friendly never gets stuck." Timothy chattered to Sarah, "He's so big he doesn't even need training wheels!"

"I avoid mucky mud. It's much better to stay on the paths." Sarah answered as she rode through a big puddle, giggling as her wheels threw water up her back as she cycled. Timothy tried to ride around the puddle to avoid getting his clothes wet, but it was muddy and the little raccoon soon became stuck with his bike's rear wheel spinning uselessly, slipping in the muck.

"Friendly!" cried Timothy, "I'm stuck!"

Sarah looked back and couldn't help but giggle softly as Timothy struggled with his bike.

Friendly chuckled softly too and gave Timothy a push to get his bike free of the mud, guiding the chubby little raccoon back onto the tarmac path. He looked back and saw that Ms. Levine and Tanya were back by the playground.

"Come on guys, let's go back." proposed Friendly.

Sarah and Timothy nodded and rode their bikes forward towards the path that looped back to the playground, Friendly followed behind in case either of them got stuck again.

Soon they arrived, Tanya was having her diaper changed by Ms. Levine. As the older cubs arrived Ms. Levine gently pulled Tanya's skirtalls up over her thick, plastic diaper and secured them in place.

"There you go Tanya, all nice and dry again."

The little bunny toddled back over to her big red powered trike, which was waiting patiently on the grass. Tanya sat on the yellow saddle and held both handles with her paws.

"I have to go to the bathroom myself, can you keep an eye on Tanya while I'm gone?" asked Ms. Levine.

"No problem!" answered Friendly, dismounting from his bike and leaning it against the bench.

With that, Ms. Levine walked over to the restrooms. Timothy and Sarah sat on their bikes, chattering to each other.

Tanya looked back anxiously at the much older fox, but turned her attention back to her trike. As Tanya pressed the power button on her trike however, her wheels spun. Tanya looked puzzled as her gaze drifted from the older cubs down to the rear wheels of her trike. The motor whined and the plastic wheels groaned softly as they slipped on the wet grass, slowly spinning round and round uselessly. Timothy looked sympathetic. Friendly smiled and knelt down behind Tanya's trike, looking up at her as she took her foot off of the power pedal.

"Looks like you need some help, sweetie." Friendly said softly, putting both his paws onto the seat of Tanya's trike. "Here,

you try again and I'll give you a little push, okay?"

Tanya nodded and gave a small smile back to the fox, looking forwards again as she pressed the power pedal of her trike.

Still, her wheels spun - slipping in the wet grass. Friendly gave the trike the gentle push it needed to gain traction, guiding Tanya back onto the tarmac path. The little bunny giggled as her trike set off down the path, Friendly paced along behind her. As Sarah and Timothy left their bikes alongside Friendly's and went over to the playground together, Tanya turned her trike around and headed over to the playground to join them.

At the swings, Sarah jumped onto the one next to the baby-swings and began to launch herself into the air using her feet. Timothy watched disdainfully, he didn't feel big enough for those swings, he definitely couldn't swing on his own.

"I... I can't do that yet." squeaked Timothy, as he stood next to the swing and waited for Friendly to come over to help him.

Tanya saw her older playmate swinging and squealed delightedly, gently tugging the leg of Friendly's pants and pointing.

"You wanna swing too, Tanya?" chuckled Friendly, holding her paw and guiding her over to the swing where Timothy was waiting.

Ms. Levine came over too, leaving her diaper bag at the base of the swing set.

"Friendly, I'd like to swing too," said Timothy, as Ms. Levine lifted Tanya into the swing next to Sarah. "Please?"

"I don't think I can lift you, buddy. Ms. Levine? Can you help me with Timothy?"

"No problem, boys. Hold on a moment, Tanya." answered Ms. Levine as she gently lifted the chubby little raccoon into the swing next to Tanya.

"Thank you!" Timothy beamed as he held onto the front of the swing, and Friendly began to push him.

Tanya and Timothy giggled as they swung side-by-side. Ms. Levine gently pushed Tanya at a leisurely pace given how young the little bunny was, she glanced over at the fox and raccoon as they played happily together. After a few minutes, Ms. Levine tapped Friendly's shoulder.

"Would you like to push Tanya for a minute? I can take over for Timothy."

"Okay!" agreed Friendly, as he switched sides with Ms. Levine and took over pushing the little bunny.

"Not too high, okay?" said Ms. Levine, as she pushed Timothy on the swing.

Timothy giggled as Ms. Levine pushed him somewhat higher than Friendly could. "Wheee!" he cried.

"Whee!" imitated Tanya, giggling too.

A short while later, Timothy and Tanya were helped out of the swings and they toddled off together to explore the rest of the playground. Friendly joined Sarah on the big swing, and swung to-and-fro alongside her.

"So, are you Tanya's big sister?" Friendly inquired.

"No. Tanya and her mom are neighbours. I just tag along sometimes when my parents are working."

"Oh. Cool. I've always wanted to be a big brother. I'm an only-child, but becoming friends with Timothy has helped a bit." continued Friendly.

Ms. Levine followed Timothy and Tanya, sitting on the bench next to the jungle-gym and keeping an eye on the two young cubs.

Timothy fidgeted with his shorts again, stubbornly they kept slipping down and revealing the rear of his racecar training pants. Tanya giggled, when suddenly a short burst of wind blew her skirtalls up and revealed her white diaper to the raccoon. Tanya blushed slightly, and proceeded to climb up the steps which led to a metal, tubular tunnel. Timothy followed her, trying his best to ignore his loose shorts and be a supportive, big-brother figure for Tanya.

The bunny girl's diaper crinkled as she crawled through the tunnel, Timothy followed closely behind like he knew Friendly would do in his place, if he were the one leading the way. On the other side of the tunnel Tanya rose to her feet - Timothy doing so in succession behind her. They were on a wooden platform of a big castle, with rope-rigging that led to a tall tower quite high up. In the other direction was a high, metal zip-line that went from one tower turret to another. Cubs that were bigger than Friendly were launching themselves across it, laughing and calling to one another as they did so.

"I'm a big cub. I'm going to climb that tower." Timothy said to Tanya, as the little bunny looked at him. Timothy tried again to pull up his shorts to conceal his training pants, and he began to climb the rigging.

Sarah had grown bored with the swing and went back over to her little purple bicycle. Friendly followed her, continuing to chatter about how he was a big-brother figure for Timothy and asking if she would like to play with them. Sarah shook her head and pedaled her bike - but the rear wheel was high-centred again and she just sat, and spun, spun, spun. Friendly chuckled and gestured to give her a push, but she stopped pedaling her bicycle and dismounted.

"I... I'll be right back. Can you look after my bike for me, please?" asked Sarah. "I gotta go to the bathroom."

Friendly nodded and Sarah made her way over to the nearby restrooms.

At this moment Tanya had been looking over at Sarah and giggled to herself - her playtime was never interrupted by a potty break. Maybe an inconvenient diaper change every now and again, but that didn't count in her mind. She toddled back over to the base of the rigging that Timothy had ascended, her now-wet diaper wobbling slightly underneath her skirtalls.

Timothy had reached the top of the rigging and looked out from the top of the parapet, calling down to Tanya.

"See! I told you I'm a big... a big bo..." Timothy faltered as he began to feel that he too had to use the restroom. He looked down at the ground, and gasped. The raccoon hadn't thought about how high the parapet was. He looked at the rigging, and tears welled up in his eyes. He couldn't get down!

"Help!" Timothy cried, sobbing as he tried hard to keep his training pants dry, squirming and pulling his shorts up again.

Friendly heard Timothy's cry for help and immediately ran over and up onto the rigging to assist his friend.

"I'm coming, Timothy!" he called out as he began to climb up the rigging, to his stranded raccoon buddy.

As Timothy struggled on the rigging, his shorts slipped down and fully revealed the seat of his red racecar training pants. He was too frightened to let go of the rigging to try and pull them up. Suddenly, he felt the front of his training pants becoming warm, and sobbed. Try as he might, Timothy couldn't hold it any longer.

"I've got you, Timothy. Just keep your eyes on me, okay?" said Friendly, as he held onto Timothy's arm and guided his little friend back down the rigging, one step at a time.

Soon, Timothy was back on the platform of the castle, his shorts still down to his knees and the blue numbers on the front of his training pants reduced to a small, faded blur.

"I... I had an accident." sobbed Timothy, as he held onto Friendly tightly, tugging his shorts up over his swollen training pants, hoping to avoid anyone else from seeing them.

"Oh dear..." sighed Friendly, letting Timothy hug him and comforting his upset little friend the best he could.

Tanya looked up at Timothy and gave him a sympathetic smile, holding his paw she squeaked out... "Don't cwy..."

Ms. Levine had also heard the commotion and was waiting at the bottom of the castle.

"Is everything okay?" she asked. "Come down the slide, I can help if you need me."

Tanya went down the slide first, giggling as Ms. Levine caught her and helped her to her feet.

"You need your diaper changed, sweetie." she chuckled, looking up as Timothy came down the slide, followed after by Friendly.

Timothy blushed heavily as his soaked training pants lent him a considerable waddle, the outline of it clearly visible through his orange shorts.

"C... can you help my little buddy?" Friendly asked, "He had an accident in his training pants."

"Of course. Don't worry Timothy. I'll get you all fixed up. Tanya needs a change, too." she said, softly.

Timothy blushed, but held Ms. Levine's hand as she took him and Tanya to the restrooms.

Soon, they returned to the playground where Friendly was anxiously waiting. He had retrieved Sarah's bike from where she had left it and sat vigilantly on the bench, with Tanya's power trike, his own bike and Timothy's bike next to it.

Tanya was no longer wearing her dull-blue skirtalls, she had been changed into a dull-blue pair of shortalls with pink roses over them. Her diaper was given away only by a strip of white plastic, peeking out on either side of her hips between the back of her shortalls and the bottom of her lavender shirt.

"It looks like it's going to rain again. I changed Tanya out of her skirtalls as it's pretty cold out, now." said Ms. Levine as she sat Tanya on her power trike. "Come on Sarah, time to go home."

"Oh! Do we have to?" groaned Sarah.

"It's getting cold again. I'd like us to get home in case it rains. I think you boys ought to get along too."

"Thanks Ms. Levine. We had fun!" said Friendly. "Maybe we can play again, sometime."

"Thank you for helping me, Ms. Levine." Timothy squeaked.

Timothy and Friendly mounted their bikes and set off for home. The raccoon was no longer fidgeting with his shorts as Ms. Levine had tied the laces for him, they now sat snugly around his waist.

"Did Ms. Levine change you into another pair of your Pull-Ups, Timothy?" asked Friendly. "I didn't think to bring any spare ones with us."

"No, she only had diapers which were too small for me." answered Timothy. "This feels so weird, just wearing my shorts."

Friendly chuckled. "Don't worry, little buddy. It isn't a long ride home."

The two friends made it back to Friendly's house just as it began to rain again. They rolled their bicycles into the garage and hurried inside, lest they get soaked by the oncoming springtime shower.
