"We're getting there" emptied an exhausted voice.

"We'll never make it."

"I said we're getting there, oh...okay!?" the female relented, viewing the large gateway structure a few miles a head of them, but in clear view. Due to this accomplishment, her body phased and shrunk until she keeled over on her knees.

"Let's...rest."

This caused the boy to look at her and chuckle.

"...and this is why we'll never make it."

Fia took a glance at him and huffed, her ruby-colored eyes glowing with anger.

"I never liked your attitude, kid, so tell me--what's your problem!?"

This caused the male to cringe, rubbing at his arm before staring at her with a cold retort of a glance right back, a glance that could pierce through hot steel.

"Your definition of living is a problem, wench" he broke out, standing up abruptly to display the area which he had been holding previously, his paw completely covered in a red mess of sweat and blood.

"Wherever I go, I see hurt. If I go to the old world, I'll only witness pain sooner or later, so why delay fate?" he questioned with a frank and almost gaudy tone.

Layed written on his face was a grin that only the mentally insane could feel comfortable carrying, and before he knew it, a firm slap against his cheek had re-affirmed where he really stood--next to and against a really angry woman.

"Now you listen here, whoever you are!" fumed Fia, pointing at the area in which they had escaped from the day previous to their venture.

"My sister! Tesla! She died out there for you--so quite frankly, I don't give a crap about your view on life" she sneered, walking forward to him with a huff.

"All I know is, is that you had better have been worth all of this....Now, let's go." she snapped, pushing him forward.

Throughout the long walking process, there were times where the two exchanged minor glances, and then looked away from each other with disgust, and then there were times where the kinder-hearted soul gave in to curiosity.

" So....What's your name?" she asked softly.

He looked at her once and scoffed.

"Isn't it obvious?"

"What's that supposed to mean!?"

"Gah--quit yelling at me already! Look at my back..."he quickly added in. "...Wench."

Tilting her head to the side to get a look, she did begin to notice that the male was wearing what looked like to be a white shirt underneath the bandages, and on that white shirt was an alphanumeric code labeled "20XX."

She looked back at him with a blank expression.

"That's not a name."

"Humph. Try telling them that, huh?"

"You mean they call you by letters and numbers?"

"They don't call us by anything." he sighed. "We're meat to them--prey, and prey deserves no name."

This alone caused the female wolf to stare off to the side and ponder for a moment.

"No name..."

Then suddenly, they came to a stop, where the white gate lied before them, and only then did the girl let out a sigh of relief, albeit a sad one.

"Here we are no name..."

"...No name?"

"We have company!"

"What??"
