Special Delivery
Tamati had arranged for the heart to be delivered on corneria since it was the closest planet to earths galaxy while Fang was ordered to stay off the battlefield since doctors feared his condition would get worse if he was caught up in another fight, instead he helped planned the battles at war council and because of his years of experience he was a great tactician as well as a warrior.
"Once our troops are in position we'll disable there artillery with the EMP grenades Rotor and Tails developed, once that's done the rest of them should be easy pickings if everything goes right."
"All in favor of this plan...all opposed?...motion is carried, council adjourned."
As the council left the chambers Fang was the last to leave as he felt a short amount of pain in his chest before pulling out a small capsule of pain killers and gulping one down while the other freedom fighters noticed.
"You're getting worse."
"I'm fine Tails-grr!"
"He's right sugar you need to get back to the hospital."
"What I NEED is some fresh air, i'm fine really."
Bunnie and Tails could tell he was lying and that he was getting worse every day, he even had to stop his daily training sessions, while on corneria Tamati waited at the space station along with several guards, hours went by until at last the ship came in as the hangar was cleared while Tamati ordered the guards to form two straight lines as the doors opened.
"Doctor Naomi Takahashi. welcome to the lylat system."
"Captain Tamati of the black ops. it's an honor to meet you."
Two of the doctors employees came up with a key pad for delivering the funds for the heart that Fang was supposed to receive, after a few quick signatures Tamati shook hands with the doctor and escorted her to the flight headed for mobius as she looked at his armor.
"Tamati. perhaps when this is over I can give you and your friends an upgrade or two on your equipment. my people specialize in weapons development as well as cybernetics."
"I'll get back to you on that, right now we need to make a delivery."
Meanwhile Fang was busy attending to his duties as prince of mobius with some of his subjects giving news about some of the kingdoms problems as well as the war efforts.
"Queen Lupe sent you these herbs as a token of appreciation for helping our tribe against eggman and the iron dominion."
"The royal family always welcomes the help of the wolf pack, you have our thanks."
Sally and Sonic were impressed to see him handling things so well before deciding to take over and give him a break. Fang strolled through the city streets without a care in the world, enjoying the day as he strolled outside the city limits when suddenly his heart began to act up again, he took another pain killer and decided to head back before things got out of hand.
The next day Tamati arrived with the heart, ready for surgery along with Fang who was sitting on the operation table looking relieved as Dr. Quack and his assistants entered the operation room, tools at the ready.
"Are we all set?"
"Let's get this over with."
Before the operation began Dr. Naomi explained that Fang would have to be put in a comatose before starting the operation to make sure his body couldn't go under too much stress. All watched as the surgery began and soon the heart was inserted and the doctors began to cross fingers as the heart was finally stitched in place.
"Okay here we go in 3...2...1!"
With a quick tap of the finger the doctors waited five seconds until at last the heart began beating and Fangs vitals began to flare up better than before, as if nothing was wrong with him. They ran a couple of tests to make sure nothing was wrong with the heart and so far everything seemed fine as Fang redressed himself and was greeted by everyone outside the waiting room.
"DADDY!!!"
Jewel was the first as she tackled her father for a hug and began to rub against his chest like a toddler, Fara was next to give him a kiss before allowing the others to congragulate him on a full recovery. They decided to have a party at Freedom HQ since things had been quiet with both the eggman empire and the iron dominion Fang and Tamati decided to step away from the crowd since both had a long day and enjoyed the setting sun while sipping their drinks.
"Thanks Tamati. you saved my life."
"Well you saved mine first remember?"
Tamati remebered the day when he was turned by the aparoids and Fang saving him but while they strolled down memory lane Dr. Eggman and his nephew Snively who had joined the iron dominion met in the citadel of the enemy city Megaopolis.
"You sure these drones will work against the freedom fighters?"
"Of course! each of their data has been downloaded into their memory banks, they won't stand a chance."
"But they have no data on Fang or that nine tailed friend of his."
"Leave them to me."
From the shadows a giant bull wielding two large maces stepped forth and a wicked grin came over his face as he pictured Fang and Tamati being crushed under his feet for he was the supreme warrior of the Iron Dominion; The Iron King.
