Rescheduled
#13 of All They Knew
Skye ponders on outfit choices for the next day.
Skye washed her face and did her hair in the restroom after taking about ten minutes to recover while snuggled up into Ruki's fur. Once she exited the bathroom, she saw him sitting in his usual spot on the center of the bed, and she lay down on her back beside him, her legs dangling off of the edge while she stared up at the ceiling in thought. "You know... I said two days. We're going to go to Floaroama town with Aaron and Sylmi in two days." Skye looked up at Ruki. "But we leave in three..." She didn't want anything about this vacation to feel rushed, and she wanted her and Ruki's final few days to be spent solely together. "I'll be right back." Skye got up and put on a pair of casual skinny blue jeans and slipped into her white shoes, keeping her shirt on from last night.
Ruki had little idea what exactly was going on in her head, but he figured she was going to speak to Aaron again after what was said. He watched her exit the suite while further fixing her hair and pulling up her pants.
Skye approached his door and emitted a short sigh before knocking on it. She hastily straightened the wrinkles out of her shirt before he opened it. "Oh, sorry, did I wake you?" Skye asked upon seeing how tired his eyes looked while standing there. He wore a gray tee and black shorts he must have thrown on to get to the door.
Aaron eyed her face for a moment before answering her question; as if lost in it. It was easy to admire. "You didn't, I woke up a few minutes ago, though. What's up?"
"Well..." she began. "Remember when I said we'd go to Floaroama in two days?"
"I do."
"So, I'm leaving a day afterwards. If it's okay with you, I thought we could reschedule for tomorrow instead?"
"That's not an issue at all," Aaron replied almost immediately. The sooner, the better. It could give him more time to talk to her, though he was far too shy to tell her what he thought of her, that he was immensely attracted in every way.
She grinned, "okay... is tomorrow morning at ten fine?"
"Yes, definitely, I'll be ready with Sylmi." He returned her pretty grin, though his was bigger.
"All right, I'll see you tomorrow," she said and began the short walk back to her suite.
Aaron watched her make her way back, but he didn't expect her to turn around before she opened her door. At least she smiled at him. It really wasn't a good idea for him to like this girl, but he was young, she was personally the most beautiful female he'd ever laid eyes upon, and her personality was to die for. He couldn't ignore all of that and let her slip away.
"Okay, done, we're going tomorrow at ten in the morning, Ruki," she said while closing the door. "You want to help me choose an outfit? I only have two more changes I didn't wear yet."
Ruki nodded quickly and stood up on the bed. He gladly would.
"Yay, they're in my backpack," said Skye and went beside the bed, kneeling and unzipping her bag. "Oh... damn, Ruki, we still haven't eaten the malasadas. They'll go bad soon if they haven't already. Are you hungry?" She looked up at him.
He nodded, Ruki could go for a malasada. He just realized how much he missed them even though it had been less than a week since he last had one. He watched her fish around inside of her bag and pull out three different packaged malasadas.
"Hm..." She pressed down on each of the packaged goods with her thumb. One of them was firm and inedible, but the other two were still soft enough to eat. Skye opened one and brought it up to her nose. "It's a sweet one," she said, handing it over to Ruki.
He took a few steps forward and gently took it from her hand with his mouth.
"This one's mine. Don't eat this one," Skye warned, placing her closed malasada on the bed and turning around to gather her two outfits for tomorrow.
He wasn't even thinking of eating it. That's something Ruki would have done when he was a vulpix, but not in his more mature state. Maybe she'd realize that eventually.
"Here we go." Skye neatly placed her clothing beside each other on the bed. One was a pink and white flannel shirt with pink short shorts to go with, and the other a tight-fitting white crop top and white leggings. She hadn't worn the top before, but Skye felt she was slim enough to pull it off. "Hm, which one do you think is more me, Ruki?" She stood and pondered for a moment while shooting her eyes back and forth to both outfits.
He finished chewing up the rest of his snack and swallowed it accordingly, licking his maw afterwards. Ruki sat in front of the laid out clothing, and he watched Skye take her current shirt and jeans off, replacing it with the crop top and leggings. She looked herself up and down once it was on. The top tightly hugged her chest and fully revealed her stomach. "Hm... okay, keep this look in mind."
He watched her take it off. She looked great in it, and it brought her a lot of appeal, but Ruki didn't feel that it fit her. He wouldn't think any further until he'd see both of them on her, though.
Skye slipped into the flannel shirt and buttoned it up, then put on the short shorts and wiggled her hips a bit to ensure they were on completely. She ran her right hand down the front and backside of her exposed thigh and studied herself for a moment before looking up at Ruki. His ears were erect. "What is it?" Skye had never seen him gaze at her like that before.
That one, that outfit looked amazing on her. It brought her sex appeal resulting from the shorts, but the crop top did on another level, and Skye looked most attractive when she dressed cutely.
"I'm... guessing you like this one more?"
He nodded; it was perfect.
"Then, I'll wear this tomorrow."
