A Date between Mordekaiser and Graves

I arranged the table, the chairs and the candle. One big chair for Morde and a normal chair for Graves. After covering the table with a red cloth, I lit up the candle with my etwahl, or as Gragas called it, "the flying piano". That fat man was lucky that I couldn't speak and so I smiled and filled a jug of his wine while he laughed.

"Where should I place the jug though?" I thought.

Morde couldn't really drink. But if I put it next to Graves' seat, it would feel unfair. As I judged the jug, Graves arrived.

"Hello Sona, I can smell the fizzles in your drink."

Graves was wearing a tuxedo with a red shirt and a tie. As expected, he brought his shotgun. I gestured him to put his weapon down.

"Sure lady."

He sat on the chair instead and kept his gun on his lap. I came next to him and pointed at his shotgun and then at the side.

"You want me to put New Destiny away? Nah-uh, this is the rift. I gotta protect myself."

We had to be on Summoner's rift because Morde couldn't walk into a bar without scaring off people. My summoner helped me set up this date on the rift and we made sure everyone was on the same side. But being armed didn't really fit the theme of this date.

"If you have your piano, I should have my gun." Graves said.

He pulled out a cigar from his tuxedo and tried to light it on the candle. I stopped him.

"Sona, I need this to stay calm."

I played a soft chord on my etwahl and green waves traveled from my strings to him.

"Ahh, guess you can put my addiction on hold with that piano."

My etwahl was doing more than just that. It also reduced the noises of minions and towers nearby, since we were on the little curb outside of bot lane. My summoner told me this was the best place to see each other.

"So, who is this person I'm dating? Is it you, darling?" Graves asked.

He then winked and eyed my breasts. What a pervert! Though he looked quite handsome while doing that with his tuxedo.

Suddenly, the table started shaking. Heavy footsteps could be sensed, even with the sound barrier I set up for the table. Morde was coming finally.

"Who did you set me up with?" Graves asked nervously.

He noticed the big chair on the other side of the table. His mouth was itching for his cigar. I played another soothing chord on my etwahl to calm him down a bit. But Graves was still visibly worried.

A few heavy thumps later, a towering figure in golden armor appeared. Mordekaiser followed my advice of wearing his least threatening outfit. He was making progress on his dating skills.

"Hello. Graves." Morde said.

Graves couldn't believe who he was blind dating. To soften the tension, I played a quiet adagio in the background.

"Mordekaiser... the metal warlord?" Graves stuttered.

"Yes. It. Is. Me."

Morde's voice sounded like the lower notes from a metal speaker. But since he didn't really have a larynx, every word he spoke kept resonating in his armor and stepped on each other.

"Hello Mordekaiser. First time talking to you." Graves said.

"First. Time. As. Well. I. Like. Your. Clothes."

"Oh now, thank you! I like your clothes too! Um, I mean armor."

I gestured Morde to sit on the big chair and he kindly listened. As practiced, he put his mace on the side of the armrest and sat down. The chair squeaked under his weight, but it was still holding up because we rehearsed yesterday.

Morde stopped talking and stared at Graves, who kept a hand on his shotgun. To progress this date, I played a rift on my etwahl. The musical cue brought a small glow in his eye sockets.

"Let's. Play. A. Game." Morde said.

Good. Morde knew what was next. I plucked a tremolo laughter to ease what would otherwise sound like a death threat.
