An old song pulled on an old heart string
Looking back often, the memories nudged me along, toward the ones we shared in songs we'd sing
Your voice, a chill felt throughout, reminding me of many instances of way back when
It's somber, relaxing, & painful, if felt too long, but worthwhile to clearly remember then
So much still up in the clouds, drifting through minds walking the grounds where we cared
So many reasons, so many moments, so many more wanted, such amazing times we shared
Let it be free, to unbiased, unfairly felt times, with these emotions, no heavier than a feather
Lighter than the world around us, let's continue to smile in the memories we had together
So many smile for you, see the future, longing, but grateful all the while
In our hearts, always in our thoughts, wanting to join all ours, we lovingly remember your smile
