Hello! ^_^

Welcome to the continuation of the "A Dragon's Brother" story, which I have decided to give the subtitle "Renewal." The original story, consisting of 5 chapters, is by Cecil_88, and I definitely recommend that you read all 5 whether you like my version of the story or not. The thing is, he brought the story to an abrupt end that actually left his readers wanting more... about 6 years ago. For those patient enough to wait and determined enough to find this continuation, here you go. I am not Cecil_88, nor am I trying to be him, copy him, or rip-off his story (hence the subtitle addition), but seeing as he will go no further with it, I have decided to go on with it myself. If continuations of this story already exist, I apologize, but I still feel the need to contribute to this fantastic storyline. And now for the warnings... bleh.

WARNING! The following story contains adult material not suitable for anyone under the age of 18. If you are not 18, or you do not enjoy yiff, please exit this page, though I'm not sure why you would have clicked on it in the first place if that was the case. Please continue at your own discretion. I'm sure I could say more, but everyone that should have left would already be gone by now so... enjoy the story, I suppose.

Rain continued to fall outside.

Lance lay in the passageway of his door between both his home and the outside world. At this point, he felt as though neither side was safe for him. He continued to cry to himself, both depressed and frightened by the fact that the one source of love and trust in his life - his older dragon brother, Sypher - was gone. As he sobbed, a flurry of thoughts bombarded his mind. "Sypher... no, Sypher... you promised... you promised it would be okay." Without Sypher, Lance was nothing more than the half-breed loner he had always been. Except now he was a gay half-breed loner. He was about as far from normal as anyone could be, and that was bound to make his life into a living hell. "How can I survive in this world alone? Without a mate? Without Sypher..." Lance thought. Hs mind brought him back to the day he was beat up by Jason and the jocks. It wasn't a pleasant memory, but it did tell him something he wanted to know.

Run.

The only thing that could stop Lance's mental pain right now would be physical pain. The blue-green dragon pushed himself off the floor and wiped the tears from his eyes. He stood in front of the doorway to his house, staring blankly through watery eyes into the shrouded abyss of falling rain. He put his right foot forward first. Then his left. Right. Left. Right. He was standing in the rain now. Left. Right. Left. Lance increased the speed of his steps and was soon at full sprint, running down the center of the abandoned road in his out-of-the-way neighborhood. He ran until the souls of his feet became numb and his breaths came in short gasps. But he didn't care, for as long as he felt this pain, he wouldn't have to think about Sypher.

***************

Sypher sat at the bar, the same bar he had been at the night he came home in a drunken frenzy. He had a little bit of time to kill before he had to head over to Jake's house, so he decided a drink was in order, especially with all of the insanity in his life at that time. The bar was fairly empty and quiet, so Sypher had some time to think. "You were right all along, Lance, this relationship would just ruin my... your... our lives." Sypher didn't agree with his own thoughts, though. He had always loved his brother, though not always in the way he did now, and he always would. Sypher couldn't imagine living without his brother, but he could not imagine living in a world in which they would be constantly ridiculed, tormented and harassed for doing so. He had tried to tell Lance he was not gay, which was a flat-out lie, Sypher had admitted to himself, and that didn't forgive the fact that he had crushed his own brother's - his lover's - heart. Sypher began to worry about Lance. What would happen to his brother after he was gone? He, too, began to recall the day Lance was beaten up by the jocks. He was helpless and alone and a half-breed. There was no escaping what he was.

The thought hit Sypher like a freight train.

You can't escape what you are.

The reason Sypher had left his brother was actually the same reason he needed to stay with him. Lance was a gay half-breed, and that would never change, regardless of whether or not Sypher was in his life. He would be a victim to abuse almost everywhere, and with no one to protect him. Unless he was with Sypher. Sypher could not change himself either, and what he was, or what he was willing and hoping to be, rather, was his brother's lover.

At that moment, Sypher reached into his pocket and grabbed a small pile of money and threw it down on the bar. He quickly hopped off his seat, nearly tripping in the process, and ran out the door and into the parking lot where the rain continued to fall. His emotions were a mix of happiness and relief because he could finally be with his brother again now that he was sure it was the best option, but also sadness and regret because he had crushed his brother's heart so painfully that Lance might not take him back. "I'm sorry bro." Sypher said aloud. "I was wrong to leave you, but now I know it's the truth - I will always be there for you." He hopped into his jeep and took off down the road, headed for the one place he called home, the one person he called both his lover and his brother.

***************

Lance was almost three miles from his home now, which was fine. There was nothing left there for him anyway. He ran through the deserted roadways, his body heated from the exercise and cooled by the rain at the same time. It was a strange sensation, one that was able to distract his mind from troubling thoughts, which was all he needed right then and there. He stuck to running along only the roads he knew because as much as it pained him, he knew he would have to go back home sometime. Which also meant he would have to confront Sypher, should he return before heading off to college next week... and then he pushed the thought out of his head. He didn't want to think about Sypher. At this point, he was glad he was leaving. Lance quickened his run to a near-sprint speed, and his mind went into a haze again as a searing pain built up around his knees. "Good," he thought.

Lance continued to run. He was actually feeling a lot better now, knowing that he could literally run to get away from all of his troubles, at least for a little while. He closed his eyes and held of arms spread out, catching the rain in his upturned palms. He beat his wings a few times, shaking several clinging droplets of water to the ground. He stuck out his tongue and caught a few droplets as well, their coolness relieving Lance of his burning throat. Lance was in a euphoric state, almost a twilight zone, where everyone and everything around him had just disappeared, except for the rain and the road. And he was fine with it. He ran and ran, feeling nothing but the rain on his body and the road at his feet, his eyes still closed to ensure the feeling of complete solitude. Lance had the entire world to himself.

At that moment, Lance felt a blunt, unimaginable pain on his right hip and abdomen. His right arm, still extended outward, hit a hard surface as well, causing the surface to shatter and his hand and arm to become cut by shards of whatever he had just broken. The force pushed into him, and his upper half was thrown forward and his head came crashing down on whatever it was he had collided with. And then the force came to a screeching halt.

Lance could not move or speak at this point. Everything hurt and he felt himself slipping into unconsciousness. He managed to open his right eye halfway before his brain shut his body down. All he could make out was the word "Jeep" written in silver pop-out letters on the front hood of a car. Then the darkness engulfed him.

"Shit!" Sypher called out, climbing out of the vehicle. "Are you okay??!?" Using a flashlight from his glove compartment, he shone it on the hood of his car, revealing the badly damaged body of his brother.

***************

Lance awoke several hours later. His vision was blurred when he opened his eyes and he still felt a searing pain throughout his body. He realized he was lying in a bed and his right side was immobilized. A quick feel with his left hand confirmed that much of his right side was either bandaged or in a cast. He closed his eyes again and, hoping someone was there to answer, asked, "Where am I?" The response came from his father, Drake. "You're in the hospital son. You were hit by a car." Lance was in too much pain to move, but his fear and confusion were proven as he inhaled sharply, the closest thing to a gasp he could manage. "It's alright son, you're going to be fine. The doctors said that everything will heal just fine. As for the extent of the damage, well, it's quite a list. You broke three fingers in your right hand, as well as your right forearm. Your right shoulder is dislocated, so I would advise against using your right arm at all. The right side of your pelvic region was smashed up pretty bad too, but the surgeons took care of all the broken stuff as soon as you got here. You also have a slight concussion and a damn big bruise on your stomach. They say it was a miracle that you didn't break any ribs, but when I see my son in this condition, I find it hard to believe that miracles can even exist. What good is a miracle that only comes when you get hit by a car anyway?" Lance managed to chuckle a little at this statement, though even that hurt.

"Fuckin' asshole..." Lance muttered. "Hmm...?" his dad replied. "The guy that... hit me... is an asshole," Lance stated. Then he heard Sypher's voice. It sounded full of disdain and regret. "Yes. Yes I am." Anger flared inside of Lance, though he did nothing to display it. His own brother did this to him. His own brother was quickly becoming the source of everything wrong in his life as opposed to that source of love he used to know. "What, he's going to leave me and then try to kill me?" thought Lance. Then Sypher chimed in again. "Look, I'm pretty sure I know what you're thinking and I can understand why you would be upset. But I am truly sorry and it really WAS an accident. I know you don't want to talk to me or even be near me right now so... when you get the energy, just come meet me in the lobby. Please." Sypher stood up and walked toward the door. He would have kissed Lance on the head before leaving, but it was the wrong place and the wrong time for that. Sypher opened the door halfway, looked back at his brother and said, "I love you." Lance heard the door shut and Sypher was gone.

Drake sighed. "Listen, Lance, I don't know what's been going on between you and your brother recently because Sypher refuses to talk to me about it. He says he wants to talk to you first. Whatever it is, I think it would be best if you two sorted it all out as soon as possible." Lance just sat motionless in his hospital bed. After everything he had been through, he was just supposed to accept it all and take Sypher back? He wasn't about to do that. He hardly wanted to look at Sypher, none the less talk to him. "Just do it for me, son."

Shit. Now Lance had to do it. He always trusted and respected his father, and as far as Lance was concerned, he was his only true family member at this point. Lance would never go against his father so blatantly, lest he should lose his love as well. Lance rolled over in his bed to face his father. He opened his eyes and managed to nod, sealing his fate. He would have to talk to Sypher again at some point in the near future. Lance had hoped to avoid his brother until he went off to college so he could just be done with him for a good long time, but that wasn't going to be the case. "Thank you, Lance," Drake said, standing up. "Now I'm going to the mess hall to see if they've got any coffee in this place. You can sit here and rest or... you know. The Sypher thing." Drake looked at his son and they held eye contact for a full 30 seconds. They sat there, exchanging silent words, offering silent apologies. Drake averted his gaze and rubbed the back of his neck, then left the room.

Lance was alone again. Nothing new. "Well, better get this over with," he said to himself. He pushed himself out of the hospital bed with his left hand, his only hand available, and scanned his room. He found a sling on a small table near the door, and slipped it over his head and his right wing and placed his broken arm inside of it. He exhaled deeply, and exited his room. He made his way to the lobby, which was empty except for the hospital secretary - a female fox - who was running frantically back and forth in her desk space for whatever reason. It made sense that the room was empty, it was nearly 3 AM, and only Lance was crazy enough to run down the street at such a late hour. He found Sypher sitting alone on a short blue couch with his legs crossed, his face in his hands. Lance did not sit on the couch, but rather a separate chair adjacent to it. This issued no response from Sypher.

Lance was the first to speak."Dad told me to come out here an I'm only doing this for him. You better start talking because I really don't-" Lance cut himself short when he realized Sypher was crying. Lance was shocked. This was the first sign of resentment that Sypher had shown since he had crushed Lance's heart to pieces. "How can I be so sure he's upset for leaving me, and not for wrecking the car or upsetting dad?" Lance thought. He had to find out. "Sypher? What's wrong?" His prior suspicions were shot down as Sypher quickly walked over to him and gently wrapped his arms around his brother, crying hysterically. "Oh God, Lance, I never meant to hurt you! I never should have left!" Sypher managed to say between sobs. Lance still wasn't so sure he was being completely honest. So he said "Yeah, then we wouldn't have a wrecked car."

"Fuck the car!" was Sypher's reply. "Lance, I love you... I love you...." The words died down into quiet whispers as Sypher regained his composure. "I love you..." Lance didn't know what to believe at this point, but he was willing to return the gentle hug his brother gave him. Lance spoke up and said, "Sypher, are you only saying all of this because you feel guilty about the crash?" Sypher disengaged the hug and sat back on the couch, wiping tears from his eyes. He looked back at the fox secretary, who was too busy talking on a phone and shuffling through paperwork to notice anything that had just taken place. "No," Sypher began, his eyes focused on the ground. "Before I went to Jake's house, I stopped back at the bar. It was a pretty slow night, so I had some time to think." He paused and looked up at his brother. "I started thinking back, way back, to that day when those dumbass jocks beat you up, and how I cared for you, and the uhh... 'fun' we had afterwards. Well this world is full of people like that, and whether I'm with you or not, you're a target. Not to offend you, but whether your mate is your brother or not, you're still a gay half-breed... and I figured it would be best if you had someone around who knows you and is willing to protect you. At first at I thought you were right and that both of our lives would be ruined, but then I'd just be living a lie and you'd be living a loveless life of abuse, and I'm not going to let that happen."

Lance looked up at the ceiling searching for a proper response. And then a question arose from the back of his mind. "Sypher, earlier you said... that you weren't gay. Is that completely true?" Sypher didn't need any time to think about his response. "Lance, you're my brother and my lover and I want to be with you and only you. If you suddenly turn into a girl, I'd go back to being straight in a heartbeat." Lance smiled at his brother's answer and asked, "You're not just doing this for me again, are you?" Sypher grinned and said, "I love you far too much for that to be true. We're in this for each other."

And with that, Sypher pulled his brother into a deep and passionate kiss, locking their muzzles together and caressing Lance's tongue with his own. It would have lasted longer, but a loud *Ahem* coming from the entrance to the mess hall cut them short. Drake walked into the lobby carrying three cups on a small tray. "Well, I'm glad to see everything is back to normal... whatever the hell that is anymore." The three dragons laughed and each grabbed a mug. Drake and Sypher had coffee while Lance took careful sips of his hot chocolate. Drake saw the doctor peek into their hospital room down the hall and he yelled, "Hey doc, we're over here." The doctor quickly walked over. He was a tall white stallion, wearing an equally white doctor's coat and carrying a clipboard.

"Ah, we're up, I see," the stallion said, directing his statement toward Lance. "The damage to your body wasn't too terrible, though I'm sure the pain would say otherwise. Judging by the fact that you're up, I'd say you feel well enough to move. We stabilized your vitals while you were unconscious so if you just fill out a quick survey, you can go home and be on your way if you'd like." Drake asked, "What do you guys think? Want to go home for the night or crash here?" Lance said, "I'd prefer a night in my own bed after an experience like this. Give me the survey." The doctor gave Lance his clipboard and a pen and within 5 minutes, the survey was complete and the family was checked out. Out in the parking lot Lance asked, "Wait, our car is totaled. How are we getting home?" Drake grinned and threw a sideways glance at his son. "I've got that covered," he said.

They walked into the far corner or the parking lot and found their father's car. Lance wasn't good with cars, but from the looks of it in the dark, it was still magnificent. It was a sleek black car with four doors and it was the closest thing Lance had ever seen to the Batmobile in real life. Both Lance and Sypher were in awe. "Dad, how and when did you get this?" asked Sypher, feeling the roof of the car. Drake simply stated, "Well, let's just say your father has a lot of connections in a lot of places. And I just got it yesterday, lucky you. One of my clients had it exported over here. He's insanely rich, so to him, this was just a 'thank you' present." The family hopped in the car and headed to the place they called home, the place they were proud to call home.

***************

Sypher lay in his bed, pondering everything that had happened that day. It was simultaneously the best and worst day of his life in many ways, and he struggled to wrap his head around it all. It was 4:30 AM at that point, but he just couldn't sleep. As he thought to himself, he heard his door creak open. "Dad?" Sypher murmured.

Lance crept into the room, sling on his right arm and bandages covering his right side. He was wearing nothing but a pair of boxer shorts. He shut the door slowly with his left hand and went over to climb in bed with his brother. Lance walked around the bed and lay to the right of Sypher, so that he could do whatever Sypher wanted him to with his left hand, should the situation elevate to that point. Sypher turned onto his right side to face his brother and placed a quick kiss on his lips in the darkness. "How are you feeling?" Sypher asked. Lance replies, "Believe it or not, better than I did when you left me alone and heartbroken." Sypher frowned to himself. "I really hurt you when I did that, didn't I...?" All Lance said was "Yes." Sypher rolled onto his back. "I was confused, just as you were when this whole thing started. But just like how you got over it, I found my answers, and I'm over it, and nothing will ever change between us again. I will always love you, and that's a promise."

Lance, satisfied with the answer, also rolled onto his back and smiled. He closed his eyes, waiting for the much needed grip of sleep to take him. He felt himself sleeping into unconsciousness, but sleep's progress was interrupted by a warm feeling around his crotch area. Sypher had thrown off the sheets and was pulling Lance's boxers down. Lance enjoyed it, but was still tempted to ask, "Are you sure about this Sypher? I'm still pretty banged up." Lance saw him nod. "I just want to know one thing," Sypher said as he pulled his brother's boxers off completely. "How does your ass feel?"

Lance was a little perplexed by the question. "What? My ass is fine, the car just clipped my hip if you didn't realize." Sypher had stopped paying attention after "my ass is fine" and slowly began to stroke his own sheath, which he had already freed from his boxers. His member stood at full attention as he knelt in front of the blue-green dragon, who was still on his back. "Good then," Sypher said. He lifted his brother's two legs by pulling up on his heels until he exposed his tailhole between his balls and his tail, which was stretched flat across the bed.

Lance felt his brother's cock prod around his tailhole. He muffled a moan and nodded in the darkness. Sypher saw and proceeded. He pushed in slowly, releasing pre-cum when he was about halfway in, making the next half easier to submerge in his brother's hole thanks to the lubrication it provided. The red dragon sat there for a little while with his shaft fully enveloped by his brother's warm, tight passage. Lance enjoyed it just as much, if not more. Now his member was fully erect, and as he went to reach for it with his left hand, he was surprised to feel Sypher grip it first. "I know you're better with your right hand," Sypher panted, "but since I'm the one who messed it up, I figure I might as well return the favor by being your new right hand." Lance smiled and closed his eyes as Sypher began to pump in and out of his brother's hole and stroke his shaft up and down in unison.

Lance lay his head back on his pillow and arched his back up into the air. "Oh, Sypher, that feels so good..." The feeling of his brother's cock and hand was amazing. Lance let his tongue droop out of his mouth, and he could both smell and taste the musk building up in the red dragon's room. Lance decided he should contribute to the fun. Lance's tail, which was pressed flat against the bed and positioned right between Sypher's knees, lifted from the bed and navigated toward Sypher's tailhole. It found the tight hole, and Lance pushed his tail in.

Sypher gasped in pleasure and stopped his motions to allow his brother to enter into his passage. Lance got about seven inches in and then began a back and forth motion inside Sypher's passage. Sypher then continued his treatment on Lance and once again pushed his cock all the way into him, making it so that when he pulled back, Lance's tail was pushing forward into him. The couple was in a pure sexual euphoria, unlike anything either one had experienced. Lance began to leak pre-cum, which Sypher caught on his fingers and spread across his brother's cock as he stroked it. Sypher smeared a fresh bead of pre-cum on his index finger and brought it to Lance's mouth. Lance lapped it up, savoring the taste of, well, himself.

Inside of Sypher, Lance shoved his tail eight inches in and began wiggling the tip of his tail. It touched and tickled Sypher's prostate, sending shivers of sexual pleasure down his spine. He jerked and pounded Lance even faster, bringing both of their growing climaxes even faster. Lance held his back as long as he could, savoring the moment and building up the most massive orgasm he could. But the blue and green dragon gave in first. The first spurt of Lance's cum shot straight up and landed back on his chest, the bed, Sypher's hand and some even landed on Sypher's muzzle.

Sypher directed the pulsating cock towards him and stopped his humping to bend his body as close to it as possible. He allowed two spurts of cum to spray into his mouth and face, swallowing all of it and licking his lips to get any that had missed his mouth. Then he pointed his brother's cock towards Lance's own open mouth. Lance was unprepared for this and missed the first spurt but quickly opened his mouth to catch the next four pulses of his own dragon cum. He, too, swallowed it all, leaving a strange but pleasurable taste in his mouth.

After that, Sypher could not hold himself back any longer either. He gave three more quick thrusts and then thrust all the way into his brother and shot his load deep inside his bowels. He continued to hump as he came, causing a muffled, squishing sound to resonate throughout the room. He kept his cock inside of Lance for a good five minutes after his orgasm, and Lance's tail stayed inside of Sypher as well until Sypher pulled his soft member out. Next came cleanup. Sypher got up and positioned himself in the 69 position over Lance, propping himself up on all fours. Lance licked him brother's dick clean of semen while Sypher cleaned his brother's cum off of his lower torso. Sypher inched himself a bit forward so he could clean his brother's tailhole. He poked his head over Lance's sheath and lowered his mouth to the hole. His tongue shot out, cleaning both the outside and inside of the semen-covered passage. It actually tasted better than he expected.

Once they were clean, the couple collapsed in the bed and pulled the covers over themselves with Sypher on the left and Lance on the right. They faced each other in the center of the bed. "I lov-" Sypher began, but was cut off by a kiss from Lance. They broke the kiss and Sypher smiled, and Lance took his usual position, resting his head on his brothers chest and snuggling closely to him.

Back to normal.

And so ends the first chapter of the Renewal series. Sorry it's so long, but if you get as into this series as I did, you should have enjoyed it. Plus, I wanted to make a rather definitive statement on where I plan on taking the series. So again, I hope you enjoyed it. I do plan on making more of these, but I would really REALLY appreciate feedback. Thanks! Leave all feedback in the comments below, please.
