Rain Pt 1

Prologue : May 19, 2010. Time: 1:00 P.M.

The day is bright and cheery, which is the exact opposite of the mood in the big, blue ranch stile house in Wisconsin of one Miss. Rain Muzzle. The houses insides were filled with memories of better times and the rooms were so full of these joyful memories that if you stood still long enough, you would swear you could hear the laughter and see the shadows of little cubs running around your feet. All the rooms were like that except for one, the master bedroom. On the beautifully made bed laid a old and gray, but yet still pretty, fox. She knows as everyone eventually does, she will pass on soon. Around her are her children and their pup's. There are the five that she gave life to. Eddie 30, her oldest and the most normal out of five. Then there's Alexia 29, who is the smartest of them all. Then, then there was Ike. 25 and the odd ball of the group. Mikey, 23 and the muscle of the kids. And finally, there was Gray Jr., 20 and the runt of the bunch. And with these five are their spouses along with the gifts of life that each one has brought to this world. She smiles slowly and sadly at each and every one of them. Each one of them looks into her eyes full of sadness and grief. Her head slowly shakes from side to side after she looks at all of them.

"Do not cry tears of sorrow for me my children, cry tears of joy instead! This is not the end, this is just the beginning of a whole new story for me to experience! " This made all of them cry even harder.

She sighs "Alright if your going to be like this, I won't even try to tell you of how I met and nearly lost your father and my husband..."

Now you need to know that this fox was world renown for her telling of story's and tails. So all the children tried their best to stifle their crying because they knew that if they didn't, then they would miss their mothers best and most likely last story.

"Good, good" she then mured, "Let's get started then!"

Chapter 1

40 years ago: May 19, 1970. Time: 9:00 A.M.

"Why are they following me?" I scream in my head.

"No, the real question is how are they still following me?"

I was running from humans for a reason I could not for the life of me fathom! Then I noticed something truly chilling, I was shrinking to the size of a non-anthro fox! Plus, looming in front of me was a hole. Now I am not the type of fox to be scared of a great many things, but the one thing I am DEATHLY afraid of is small dark places. And It appeared I was headed strait towards such a place! When I was about five feet from the hole I tripped and started to slide towards it with the humans right on my tail. When I fell completely into the hole, I started to scream my lungs out for as long and as hard as I could! Suddenly, I woke up drench in sweet with a throbbing headache and hang over too boot, with the sounds of New York coming in thro the window.

"Shit, why did I have to have those last three martinis?"

Shaking my head slowly, I get up slowly and head toward the small bathroom in my equally small apartment. Ah, the life of a woman right out of college, with a degree that has proven to be useless. Getting in the tight and compact shower, I turn on the warm water to loosen my muscles from sleeping funny. Sighing as the warm water hits my bright red back fur and the base of my almost completely reddish tail with the tip being a clear almost blinding white. My fur, as always it seamed, was tangled and out of place. I grab for the shampoo, but as I'm bringing it up to lather on my hands, I drop it. As I'm bending down to get it, I knock my head on the cold water tap and when I raise my hand to rub my head, I turn the hot water off! I yelp and hop up in surprise as the freezing water hits me in the back! Franticly I get up and out of the shower. Panting, I turn off the water, and wondered if my life could get any worse. Then, I hear the phone start to ring!
