Keeping a Promise
In the distance before the group, they saw ships sailing forth towards the Tower of Isis. Zen and Sen looked on as each ship carried a strange cross on their masts. Rebecca ran over to a nearby ship as she raved at the captain of the great ship.
"Oy there young lass, what are you doing in a dangerous place as of this?" he called out to her.
The ship slowly came to a halt on a nearby beach, Zen and Sen looked on as the ship dropped anchor. Serios turned to Inuko and questioned if it is safe. Rebecca slowly walked towards the ship as the captain walked onto land.
"What did you mean earlier mister?" she asked.
The captain took off his hat as he wiped the sweat from his blue hair, and his red eyes met hers,
"Mister makes me sound old, don't ya think lass?" he replied.
Rebecca turned red as she looked at the captain who was no older than in his mid twenty's. She quickly bowed down and began to apologize.
"I am sorry please forgive me." she said.
The young captain grinned and placed his hat back on,
"You are the strangest group I have come across yet far." he said.
As he looked at Rebecca and her friends behind her.
"But, I must say I never seen those creatures behind you in my times on the great blue." he said.
Inuko walked closer to him as he stuck out his claws and shaked the captain's hand strongly.
"And I have not seen one so strong." he said as he was trying to free his hand from the jealous Inuko's grasp.
Inuko released his grip as the young captain fell to the floor, Rebecca helped him up as she turned to Inuko with an evil look. Inuko slowly backed away from the scary look of his lover. The young captain stood up and brushed himself off.
"I must apologize for my behavior, my name is Endrance." he replied as he offers a white rose to Rebecca.
Rebecca slowly reaches out and accepts it, Inuko's eyes blazed like wild fire as his clenched his claws tightly. Endrance bowed before her and kissed her hand.
"My dear, I would be very happy if you allowed me to take you and your companions across this sea." he said softly.
Rebecca blushes red as Inuko shows his fists behind her, Endrance begins to grin as Rebecca and the girls rush on the boat while Serios tries to hold Inuko back. Endrance stands up and begins to walk onto the boat as the wind begins to pick up again. Inuko and Serios climb into the boat as Inuko's body tenses up with anger as he stares at Endrance. Endrance stands up the ship's wheel as they take off into the Tower of Isis.
Later that day, under the bright blue moon the large boat sailed under the moonlight. The waves crashed against the boat as the wind flowed past the girls' hair. Zen looked to Sen as she smiled,
"The moon reminds you of Luna doesn't it, Sennie chan?" she asked.
Sen gazed to the moon as a smile passed her face, she slowly brushed her snow white hair from her face.
"Yes, I wonder if Luna is near here, Zennie chan." Sen replied.
Rebecca looked at the two girls as she smiled and danced towards them playfully. Sen joined hands with Rebecca as the girls began to dance and swing around the boat. Meanwhile, Inuko slammed Endrance against the wall as Serios tried to pull him off of him.
"What are you doing Inuko?!" he yelled.
Inuko clenched his claw as he thrust it into the wall as he barely makes a scratch on Endrance's face.
"THE NEXT TIME YOU DARE TOUCH MY REBECCA I WILL KILL YOU WITH MY OWN CLAWS!!" he growled.
Endrance slowly lifted his hand and covered his right eye and began to laugh,
"Hahahahaha, you my dear friend are truly one of a kind." he replied.
Endrance then grabbed Inuko's claw that was holding him and tightened his grip on it, forcing Inuko to let go of him. Inuko began to back away as he grabbed hold of his arm.
"H-How can a human be as strong as I am?!" he questioned.
Endrance grinned as he looked at Inuko and Serios as he began to dust himself off before them. Serios looked towards Inuko as he tried to calm him down.
"You have yet to see how strong a true sea man can be." he said.
Back on the deck of the ship, Rebecca looked towards the moon as she saw a young woman dancing in the center of it. Music filled the air, as the dance continued faster and faster. The mysterious woman clapped her hands as she continued her dance in the moonlight.
"It's a beautiful night isn't it, Rebecca?" a mysterious voice asked.
Rebecca quickly turned around to see Endrance behind her holding a glass of wine in his hands.
"Sorry you started me Endrance." she replied as she turn towards the moon again.
"But yes it is, the moon is the most beautiful thing I have ever seen." she said softly.
Endrance walked closer to her as he placed his hand on her cheek, Rebecca froze before him as her eyes met his.
"I am happy to help a beautiful rose such as yourself, Rebecca." he spoke in a majestic tone.
Rebecca slowly placed her hand on to his as her face began to blush.
"T-Thank you..." she struggled to say.
Endrance leaned closer to her as he embraced her into his arms, as his eyes looked into her eyes he stopped and placed her back on the ground. Endrance began to walk away from her as he let out a heavy sigh.
"I am sorry Miss Rebecca, but you aren't the girl that I loved so many years ago. My eyes are fooled so easily yet my heart cannot." he said with a heavy heart.
Rebecca was stunned at what happened, she placed her hand on her heart as she tried to walk closer to Endrance.
"W-What do you mean?" she asked.
As she took another step Endrance disappeared from her sight. Suddenly, Endrance appeared behind Rebecca in an instant as she fell into deep sleep. He held her close to his heart as tears filled his eyes.
The next day, Rebecca awoken on Inuko's chest as she quickly got up to see what happened. Zen and Sen were sitting on the beach as they watched the woman from the night before dancing with Endrance on the vast blue sea. Rebecca walked closer to them as she saw the woman smiling as she placed her chest on Endrance's chest.
"Hey Zennie chan, so that woman was waiting for her lover all this time? Even after death?" Sen asked.
Zen looked at her and smiled,
"Even the strongest love can surpass time it's self, Sennie chan." she replied.
Sen looked behind them as she saw Rebecca looking at the ghostly couple before them.
"All this time, he was looking for the light to find his lover again." Sen said.
Zen began to laugh as she tried to hold back a tear,
"She looks an awful like Rebecca chan, but maybe now they both can be happy." she said.
Rebecca looked on as the ghostly figures left towards the endless blue, she then turns and watches Inuko as he slept on the sandy beach. She begins to smile as her heart is filled with happiness. Sen and Zen walk over to Rebecca as they hug her,
"Lets make a promise, shall we?" Rebecca asked.
"Yes, let's shall." the twins replied smiling.
The girls ran over to Serios as they snuggled with him, as Rebecca kneeled down besides Inuko softly kissing him on his muzzle.
"I promise to always be by your side my love." she said quietly into Inuko's ear.
As Inuko slept he couldn't help but to smile as his heart is filled with love for his one true love.
"Rebecca..."
