All work and no play
This took a while to do because it was a little long so we decided to cut it down. Comments and feedback always welcomed as I would like to hear how it is.
It was a beautiful day. The sun was shining, birds were singing, and people world-wide was having one big party more or less. All of them thinking that Darkstar had been destroyed by the super bomb, unaware of the true events that had occurred. Tasha stirred from her sleep and opened her eyes. She let out a growl to find out her love was gone yet again.
"He always does this to me."
She stretched and shook herself before heading for home. Arriving at the front door, she heard laughter coming from the conference room. Walking in, she saw everybody joking and having fun.
"Tasha!!" Anna said waving her hand. "Come join us."
"Sure" she said with a smile.
"We're playing a little poker, want a hand?" Tiger asked.
"Okay, deal me in."

"It's so beautiful here" I said sitting down on the grass.
The lake reflected the sun's rays making a small rainbow over the waterfall. The stream was crisp and clean as it flowed down the valley and wildlife stopped to get a drink.
"Hard to believe I went through all of that."
Flapping wings caught my attention as I saw a white dove land beside me. I called it over as it hopped into my hand. I gave it a couple of strokes on the head as it cooed.
"I guess miracles do happen."
It looked at me, blinking a couple of times before flying off. My stomach let out a gurgle as I chuckled.
"Time for some food."
I got up and headed for home. It still is hard to believe I defeated Thanos and Darkstar only a couple of days ago. But it still feels like yesterday. I felt my chest where I plunged the dagger into my heart and felt what was left of the scar that was rapidly healing and shrinking to without a trace. My body was healing, slowly returning to peak health, and all traces of the hell it has gone through disappearing.
"That was very intense."
I landed down on the grass and walked inside. Everybody inside greeted me with smiles and pats on the back saying way to go and you're a hero. I nodded my head and smiled back as I reached the conference room.
"Here's the man of the hour" Theft said looking up.
Everybody looked my way as I waved.
"Well, well, the new guardian makes an appearance" Crystal said with a smile.
"Don't call me that" I said shaking my head. "It seems so out of place."
"The new guardian is modest. That's unusual." my mom said.
I gave a sigh seeing I couldn't win and sat down. My mom handed me a plate with some bacon, eggs, and toast.
"Since you're never here for breakfast, I saved you some."
"Thanks mom."
I started digging in when Tasha sat next to me. She had a look of disappointment and hurt on her face.
"Why do you always leave me in the middle of the night sometimes?"
I swallowed what food I had in my mouth and looked at her.
"Don't you know I worry about you?"
"Tasha, there's no need to worry about me. You should know me by now."
"That's the thing, I don't know you."
She held her head down as I looked at her.
"Even though we've been mates for almost a year, you never really told me anything about you. I don't know your favorite color, food, sport, book, nothing."
I felt bad as I saw a single tear fall. I lifted her up and placed her in my lap as she buried her head in my chest.
"I'm sorry" I said softly.
"All I really want is to get to know you better. Is that so wrong?" she asked softly.
"Of course not."
I tickled her ear causing her to giggle softly.
"I heard that" I said with a smile before tickling her as she started laughing.
"No...stop...okay...you win" she said trying to escape.
I stopped and gave her a kiss which she murred to.
"So how does it feel to be a guardian?" Greywolf asked.
"I don't know. It feels...weird. Lots of knowledge is in my head that, most of which I can't recall, or even make sense of. I don't think I'm quite prepared for this."
"You'll get use to it" Crystal said.
I held my hand up as a small white ball appeared and floated in the air.
"You and the Light stone really are connected" Venom said.
"No kidding" my father said.
I closed my hand as the ball disappeared.
"Hey Crystal, be honest with me" I said looking at him.
"Okay."
"Was I really chosen, or did you pick my name out of a hat?"
Crystal laughed and looked at me.
"To be honest, I didn't."
"Who did then?"
"Modeen did. You do have his blood in your veins you know. And even though they can't make their presents known as they once did, they still help out."
I leaned my head back in the chair as I felt Tasha licking my neck.
"Arn, Arn, big news" Chris said running in.
"What's up?" I asked.
"There's a new arcade in Winfield that just opened up. I heard it has 200 plus games."
"Awesome."
"I'm taking Nicole there now. She's in the car. You coming?"
"I'm game" I said looking at Tasha. "You coming?"
Tasha smiled and nodded her head.

Wow, this place was huge. It was like a mini mall with three floors. The first floor had the hot games like DDR Extreme and skeeball. The second floor had new games like Marvel vs. Capcom 2 and Tekken while the third floor had old school games like Killer Instant and Mortal Kombat and the likes.
"Damn Chris, when did you find this place?" I asked looking around.
"Tony gave me a phone call about this place. He said they built last month and just open last week."
"Sweet."
We walked upstairs to the 3rd floor next to the first Mortal Kombat.
"Tasha, want to play against me?" I asked.
"I don't know how" she said blushing.
"It's simple. Just trust your instincts."
"Okay."
We started playing and normally I won the first couple of games before she started wiping the floor with me.
"This is bullshit, I quit" I said angrily after my guy got knocked into the pit.
Chris was laughing his ass off watching.
"Damn dude, you got served by a noob."
"I'm sorry baby" Tasha said hugging me from behind.
"Humph" I grunted. "Your turn Chris."
"Come on Nicole, let me serve you up something fierce."
"You're on" Nicole said with a smile.
Now it was my turn to laugh as Nicole beat him so bad he was actually crying.
"Chris, you okay?" Nicole said touching his shoulder.
"Don't touch me" he sobbed. "I'm not supposed to get beaten like that."
"Think she can beat you in DDR Extreme?" I asked.
Chris's eyes lit up as he gave a wicked smile.
"Can you dance Nicole?"
"Of course."
"Good, let's go see how well you can."
We headed back downstairs to the first floor where there was a huge crowd of people watching a fox and raccoon move to the music of the game.
"Wow, look at them go" Tasha said amazed.
"Ha, I can beat them easily" Chris said.
Once the game was done, the raccoon was still standing strong as he wiped his forehead.
"Mind if I join in?" Chris asked.
"Sure, if you want to lose your money" the raccoon said with a smile.
"Is that a fact?"
"It's the truth."
"We'll see won't we?" Chris said putting his coins in. "Do I have the honor of choosing?"
"Be my guest."
Chris cycled through the songs till he came to his favorite, Resident Evil redubbed. The raccoon smiled and took another sip of water.
"Going for the kill huh?" he asked.
"Just try to keep up with me" Chris said with a smile stretching.
The crowd got closer as the music started of slow, then began to pick up speed. Everybody gasped as their feet hit the game pad so fast.
"Wow, Chris is good at that" Tasha said causing a badger to look at her.
"Did you say Chris? As in Chris "Light Foot" Glaceau?" he asked.
"Light Foot?" she said confused.
"Chris is state champion. He beat the pervious 3 time champ Swifty in Washington last year. He hasn't been beaten yet." I said to Tasha smiling.
People started talking all at once just as the song finished. They were both out of breath when the score came up. Chris beat him easily by one million points.
"You're pretty good" the raccoon said. "What's your name?"
"Chris. Chris Glaceau."
The raccoon looked at him before laughing.
"I had a feeling there was something special about you. I never had a chance against you Light Foot."
"You were pretty good. You had me a couple of times."
"I need more practice. Name's Bradford. Hope to go against you again Chris" Bradford said with a smile.
"I look forward to it."
People started to gather around Chris as he chuckled.
"Want to grab something to drink Tasha?" I asked.
"Sure."
We walked over to the food stand and got 2 orange floats. Getting them, we found a couple of seats and sat down.
"So, you want to know about me huh?" I said
"I would love to. Beside, I already know how big you are."
"Very funny" I said as she chuckled.
I took a deep breath and told her everything about me. From the time my mother gave me away to the time I met her. She listened intently, even crying a little when I told her about my grandmother.
"Ohh, my poor baby" Tasha said sitting in my lap hugging me. "You've had such a hard life."
"I guess. How about you?"
"I guess you deserve to know about your mate" she chuckled as she told me about her life.
"At least you grew up with a loving family" I said.
She noticed the depression in my voice and kissed me softly.
"I'll never abandon you."
"Humph, who says I won't" I said giving an evil smile.
"What girl can take my place?"
"I can name a few" I said as Chris walked up surround by people. She and I held our eyes at each other before we burst out laughing. She could read me well knowing I loved her with all my heart.
"Thanks everybody" Chris said taking a seat.
His shirt was drenched in sweat as he wiped his face.
"So what do you think Nicole?"
"Your one of a kind Chris, I'll give you that" she said kissing him.
"Are you done showing off?" I asked.
"Everybody has their special abilities right Arn? Just because I'm a better dancer then you doesn't mean you have to hate me."
I rolled my eyes as he laughed.
"Think you can teach me Chris?" Tasha asked.
"Of course beautiful, anything for you."
I looked at my watch as it was about 5 in the evening but was still light outside.
"Damn, we've been here for 4 hours already?"
"Is that bad? Are we going somewhere?" Tasha asked.
"We're going to see Shadow, remember?"
"Oh yeah" Chris said taking a drink of his root beer.
"Let's head back. I want to be well rested for fun tomorrow" I said getting up.

The sun rose from the south, hitting me square in the eyes as I groaned in the bed. With a quick wave of my hand, the curtains covered the window blocking the sun rays.
"Still not a morning person huh?" Tasha said holding me.
"Bah" I said putting my arm around her.
We stayed like that for another 5 minutes before I got up. God, I really did hate mornings. I gave a stretch before heading to the bathroom. Changing clothes, I walked out to see Tasha already gone.
"Thanks for waiting" I said shaking my head.
Grabbing the rod Faleen gave me, I headed towards the conference where everybody was chatting away. I also noted that the other power stones were on the table, and Chris had a slightly bulky backpack.
"Took you long enough" Greywolf said.
"Yeah, we want to have some fun" Theft added. "We deserve it."
"Sue me" I said with a smile. "Is everybody here?"
"Almost. Still waiting for Skorp and Luna" Crystal said.
Skorp and Luna walked in about 2 minutes later.
"Sorry we're late. Luna wanted to look her best" Skorp said.
"A girl has to look her best you know" Luna said sticking out her tongue.
"All right, let's have some fun."
Holding the glass rod, I tossed it in the air as it shattered when it hit the floor. A flash of light followed as Faleen stood there with a smile and a black box in one hand.
"Hey Faleen" I said with a smile.
"Greeting Ultimus. Are you guys ready to relax?" she said.
"Raring to go" Tiger said, his tail moving non stop.
She held out that box, "Well to help make the prison for Tyrant I'll need the other stones. Please place them in here Crystal."
He came up allowing her to open the black box and he placed the stones inside. Once she closed the box that was it, I felt the energy from them just vanish.
"It's to help hide their power."
"Then let's go" Skorp said
She lifted her staff up and then hit the floor, there was a flash of light that blinded us for a moment and then, next thing I knew we appeared in the great hall of a mansion with lots of old furniture, vases, panties, and statues.
"Here we are. Take a look out the window."
We walked towards the window and were astounded at the sight. It was, how you say, a medieval town. The houses went as high as 3 stories but weren't run down and kept up to date very neatly. The other thing I noticed was that there wasn't a single human.
"No humans around here?" I asked.
"Nope, nothing but morphs and us lycanthrope folks. Last human the town saw was Shadow-mane when Canis brought him to our world" She said.
"What do you mean Faleen?" My dad asked.
"You'll find out Xellos, someone will recite the tale for you at some point."
There was a mass of them as it looked like a party was going on.
"What's going on?" Tasha asked.
"It's the Festival of Spring. It's a time where towns come to together to have fun and umm..."
"What else?" my mom asked.
"They.....look for a good time" Faleen said with a blush. "The real party starts tomorrow morning."
We all looked at each other before looking back out.
"I take it if we go out there, we'll be sort of freaks?" Chris asked.
"I've already planned for that. Follow me."
We followed her through the house until we saw the room where I first met her. The place was cleaned up and no sign of the creature she had captured. I noticed a gold circle on the floor glowing. It was filled with hundreds of small geometric symbols with in it.
"Now so you humans blend in more with us, please one at a time, stand in the circle and I'll transform you into a morph I think best suits your personality" Faleen said.
"Then I'm up first" Chris said getting into the middle of the circle.
"Very well then, you can go first."
"For sure."
Faleen went over to stand in front of him as she lifted her staff up and I thought she would strike him as she hit a star symbol in front with the bottom of her staff as smoke and flame erupted from the circle making Chris jump. I heard Chris cough a couple times being it turned into growls.
"All set Chris, step out" Faleen said.
If I hadn't seen it with my own eyes, I would've never believed it. Chris went from human to a medium, grey coyote. He was also dressed in apparel fit for the times here. They looked like old fashion hunter clothes complete with belts and boots. They were not peasant clothes, more adventurers' clothes.
"How do I look? Give me a mirror" Chris said anxious.
Faleen directing him over to a full body mirror as his tail wagged non stop.
"Sweet" he yipped with pleasure.
"I guess a coyote suits a jokester like you." my dad said.
"Who's next?" Faleen said.
Everybody had their turn, Theft came out a raccoon, Skorp a gryphon, my mom came out a solid silver wolf while my dad was a solid gold wolf which saved me for last. Each of them wearing cool Robin Hood style outfits. But they looked good, not cheap knock off clothes either. They looked fully functional, gave a great deal of movement.
"I've got the perfect form for you" Faleen said licking her lips.
"Just keep me in one piece."
"Spoil sport" she said sticking her tongue out. "Besides last time I turned someone into a pile of ooze with this spell was at least three days ago." she said jokingly, which made us all laugh.
I stood inside the circle as I watched Faleen strike the star as the smoke and fire erupted. I didn't feel nothing at first then it started to get warm. It felt like I was hot as my fur started to grow. There wasn't any pain just slight discomfort as I felt my mouth grow bigger as rows of teeth filled my mouth. A sharp pain came from my back as a long tail was produced. My hands grew bigger as wolf like claws replaced my nails.
"Okay Ultimus, you're all set. Come on out" Faleen said.
I stepped out of the smoke and fire slowly causing everybody to gasp.
"Not bad, not bad at all" Crystal said.
I opened my eyes which adjusted quickly as I looked around.
"Looking good bro" Chris said.
"I'll say" Tasha, Jenna, Anna, and Faleen said at once.
I headed over to the mirror as I took a look. I was a golden wolf with silver chest fur, emerald eyes and black hair. My clothes had also changed as well still they felt good against my fur.
"Cool" I said looking up to see Tasha and Jenna circling me.
I felt cornered as they sniffed me up and down, letting out small growls of lusts.
"I take it you like my new appearance?" I said shakily.
"Oh yes, we're going to have fun with you" they both said causing my ears to go red.
A clapping sound managed to tear their gazes away to Faleen.
"Okay, now that you're one of us so to say, I'll take you to Shadow's house where you will be staying."
"Okay, lead on" Venom said.
She was about to lead us out, when she said, "Almost forgot." she said and then from the tip of her staff I watched what looked like a lightning spark strike Greywolf, Tiger, Venom, Anna, and Crystal. Grey, Tiger, and Crystal where covered in clothes as Venom, Anna's out fits change to something more appropriate.
"We normally don't walk around in just the fur unless it's one of those super hot days. And second, only a hand full of people knows what Shadow-mane is. In town he's known as Jason Blackpaw, so try not to give him away" she said getting a nod from all of us as they checked out their clothes as we followed her.
We walked out the house to a sea of morphs laughing, joking, and having fun. I saw what looked like balloons, streamers, and music filled the air. The music wasn't tunes or songs, more seemed to be their users getting them in tune for the party. As we were walking, I couldn't help but notice bands around everybody's arms.
"Hey Faleen, what's with the bands?" I had to speak over the music.
"I'll explain in Jason's house."
Shadow's or Jason's house was about a 5 minute walk from the festival overlooking a forest surrounding a smallish river that twisted towards the horizon. His house was huge with a large backyard big enough to be a football field.
"Damn, is he rich?" Theft asked.
"No, he just likes his privacy. Besides I have more money then I know what to do with. And he's earned quite a bit of wealth on some of the inventions he's made."
We got the gate as 5 wolf cubs ran towards it.
"Auntie Faleen!" they all shouted and jumped at her as she laughed, falling to the ground.
"Hello children how are you?" she said giving each one a piece of candy.
"We're fine" they said with laughter.
A female wolf stood at the door that I recognized as Sarah.
"Hello Faleen. Are these the ones you spoke of?" she said with a friendly smile.
"Yes Sarah, this is Ultimus and his friends."
"Well any friend of Jason's is more then welcomed here. Please, come in."
The kids ran in first followed by us as we had a seat in the living room. It was very comfortable with a big fireplace, couches, a large rug and a painted picture of Sarah and her children above the fireplace mantle. The place was very warm and homey. It wasn't super clean but gave a slight lived in appearance as the cubs began to inspect and look us over.
"Very nice" Luna said taking a seat.
As the cubs stood beside one another and Sarah nodded, "These are our five children, from left to right is Thomas", she said and we watched him bow like a little gentleman. I fully recalled him from before. He was dressed in a simple brown and grey tunic and pants. He wore no shoes. Next was a little female who was all black. Dressed in a pink dress, her gold eyes told me she was the mischief maker of the pack. "This is Cassandra or Cassie." she bowed her head and did a slight curtsy for us.
"This is Cody" Sarah introduced us to the stone gray wolf pup. He had on a black outfit as he also bowed his head. "Mary." she said motioning us to a snow white girl in a blue dress. "And last but not least, David." she says allowing us to see the timber wolf colored pup in his clothes. They all bowed, and said, "We welcome you into our home." Everyone just melted and we introduced ourselves and after that was done the cubs where allowed to go play.
"Would you care for something to drink?" Sarah finally asked us.
"Yes please" Skorp said.
She nodded her head and left, coming back with glasses of water as we each took one.
"You've guys had it hard the past year I've been told" Sarah said.
"You don't know the half" Anna said.
"I would love to hear about it. It would be nice to talk to someone about what I go though when Jason is off saving the world or another universe altogether, you know how it feels."
"Hey where's Shadow?" Crystal asked.
"We had a sighting of an Orc raiding party. He's out dealing with them" Sarah said
"What's an Orc?" Tiger asked.
Sarah blinked "Think of something that is a cross of a gorilla, a wild boar, and a human. And give it one hell of a mean and an utterly evil attitude" she said bluntly.
I stood looking out the window when I felt that madman causing the Light stone to pulse lightly. I held my chest lightly as everybody saw me.
"Arn, you okay?" Chris asked.
"Yeah, fine" I said giving a fake smile.
"I'll need to take you to the church tonight, so I can gauge how strong Tyrant is so we can prepare the right imprisonment spells." Faleen said.
I nodded my head when my ears twitched as I heard footsteps. The door opened as I saw Shadow-mane walk in his anthro form. He was in silver chain mail suit of sorts that had traces of blood that had been attempted to be washed off. When he saw us, he smiled and laughed.
"I see you guys made it."
"Hey Shadow" we all said.
"Daddy" his kids shouted running to him as he hugged them. Not giving him a chance to get his armor off and he melted in their arms as Sarah shook her head.
"Daddy we was scared for you" Cassie said as Shadow or Jason rather comforted his children taking off his armor and swords.
"So how is everyone?" he said holding 2 of his kids on his shoulders.
"Raring to party" Greywolf said.
"I bet you are" Shadow said placing his kids as they ran off. "But before you do, I have to set a few ground rules and let you know about some other special things going on. This could all day just so you all know."
We all gave a bit of a groan really wanting to just get out and have fun. But if we didn't know about what was important we could all get in serious trouble here. He sat down next to Sarah and put his arm around her as she rested her head on his shoulder.
"Okay first the rules, rule number 1, no using your abilities in this world. There are things in this world that would put Thanos to shame. Some are good and some are very evil. If they learn you have those stones, or rather Ultimus has one in his chest, they will detect that power and have their attention drawn here and they will attack. If you do use your powers for show, do so responsibly, and at your own risk."
He saw my fist clench a little by mentioning that name.
"Rule number 2, you guys will be guests of mine which means you will be representing me, so no funny stuff."
As he said that, everybody looked at Chris. His ear went back as he whimpered.
"Why are you looking at me?" he whined.
"Because you're the only joker here" Nicole laughed.
"I'll behave, honest."
"You better. Or else you could be spending your vacation in a lovely rat infested cell." Shadow said.
"Yes sir" he said as I smirked.
"Rule number 3, I understand you guys might want to help improve our quality of life. If you do 'invent' something, no weapons period. Understand?" he said looking at Theft who blinked and nodded to him.
"Yes sir" Theft said swallowing hard.
"Rule number 4, Go have fun and enjoy yourself. You guys deserve it. Don't worry about any troubles that crops up, the town guard, me and Faleen are more then able handle most troubles that can come up ourselves. And don't worry about anything you guys want to buy, Faleen and I will cover the costs. You all earned this break."
We all smiled before Theft raised his hand.
"Quick question, why is everybody wearing an armband?"
"Oh that" Sarah said with a chuckle. "That's just a symbol to show that you are looking for a good time."
"Okay, just wanted to know. Do we get one?"
"If you want. And as a rule it is the females to approach the males."
As she said that, every male in the room smiled. Tasha looked at me and gave a slight growl causing me to fold my ears.
"Now you guys need to know about some customs, a bit about the town and our way of life" Faleen said.

True enough it took most of the day to explain the games, customs, and ways of their life. We learned the public had a general knowledge of other universes, or planes as they are commonly referred to. Everyone can pretty much read and write, but damn if any in our group who thought this would be dull, they were very wrong. With Faleen's magic and illusions to show us images we had a blast learning the basics. Finally after more then six hours straight, we knew enough to keep out of serious trouble and have a good time. We were also glad to know if we wanted we could stay for up to a full month.
"Since it's getting late, I'll show you guys around tomorrow. We have room already prepared for you. Sarah will show you. I'm going to take a bath and start dinner before we all head to bed."
"Come along, this way" Sarah said heading towards the stairs.
Everybody followed her before I got stopped by Faleen.
"Not you. You're coming with me."
"Okay" I nodded.
We headed back into the town towards her house but weaved off a little until I saw a building in the background. I felt a slight wave of power coming from it which felt rather good as it filled me with ease. Walking in, she was greeted by 6 people who were cleaning.
"Greetings Faleen" they all said.
"Let's get started on gauging how strong we need to make the imprisonment" Faleen said.
"Is he the one?" a white-tailed doe asked looking at me.
"Yes."
"I feel strong power coming from him" a collie said.
"Yes, I feel it too. He is quite powerful" a lion added.
"Thank you, I think." I said nodding my head.
"Let us begin" Faleen said. "Okay Ultimus, I need you to release Tyrant."
"Come again?" I asked Faleen, not sure what I heard was correct.
"Release Tyrant. We need to know his strength."
I was hesitant and Faleen could see it in my eyes.
"Go ahead and release me. Let me show her what I can do" Tyrant said with a laugh. "I'll make sure not to kill her too quickly."
"Forget it" I said angrily.
"Ultimus trust me. No harm will come to anybody" she said touching my cheek softly.
I let out a sigh and looked at her.
"Are you sure about this?"
"Positive."
"Okay" I said stepping back a little.
I let out another sigh before closing my eyes and concentrating on the seals that held him. After a minute I held my head as I felt him taking over. I let out a yell a dome of red covered my body. It receded and Tyrant stood there with a smile. I was floating in the light stone as I could see an image of how Tyrant had changed my body. My golden fur had turned blood red, the silver belly fur turned jet black and his fangs and claws long and jagged as his eyes glowed with utter evil and barely contained rage.
"So you are Tyrant? I was expecting a little more" Faleen said looking him over.
"Looks can be deceiving my dear. Now then, shall we dance?"
He took off like a shot towards Faleen only to have her lift up her hand with a snap as he was repelled by a strong force as it sent him crashing into the wall.
"Is this all the power you possess?" Faleen said cocking her head to one side.
"Humph, I'll show you" Tyrant said angrily.
He stood up as his body started to glow red as waves of power seep from his body. The building started to shake as Faleen looked on with interest. Tyrant chuckled as he felt his power growing by the second.
"Are you scared yet?" Tyrant said with a chuckle.
"No, just bored. Are you done yet?" Faleen said yawning.
"You bitch, I'll make you suffer."
He flew towards her and managed to get within inches of striking distance before his whole body stopped in place. As she has held her staff out, and she held Tyrant in some kind of hold.
"He's powerful, this prison could take a while" the collie said.
"Is this really his true power or is it being cut in half by the church's power?" the doe said.
"No I think its being cut to two-thirds. So we have to make the prison stronger then what we feel now" the lion added.
"Very well" Faleen said before snapping her fingers as Tyrant flew past her into the wall.
"You think you can play around with me like that and get away with it?" he said angrily.
"You're job is done. Give back Ultimus" Faleen said as her staff glowed.
Tyrant glared at Faleen, "Not before I slaughter this town!" he yelled out and lunged at the double doors of the church.
Before I could act and try to reassert my control, Tyrant hit a barrier that reflected him back on the floor as a panther gave a laugh, "Did you think we had been so foolish as to risk letting you escape?" he said laughing out
As Faleen's staff fired off a spell and hit Tyrant, he held his head as he let out a yell, and began fighting the power with every ounce of power he had, but I could feel his power being no match for whatever magic was using against him.
"You haven't heard the last of me, you cunt. I'll tear you apart when I get free" he yelled before being covered in a white dome.
"Pathetic Tyrant, I wasn't even using half my power to keep you at bay. If at two thirds your normal strength, if my spells at that level prevented you from touching me, perhaps you should be wondering how powerful my offensive spells might be when I'm not holding back. And if you do take over his body, I can directly attack you with out harming Ultimus." Faleen said coldly.
I felt something from Tyrant, something other then his evil, his rage. It was fear. for the first time he was scared and he stopped fighting and willingly returned to the safety of his prison, as I retook control of my body when the dome melted, I went to one knee, tired but pretty happy. The collie came over and helped me help.
"Did you get what you wanted from him?" I said shaking my head.
"Everything I wanted, thank you Ultimus" Faleen said with a smile. "I'll bring you back now."
"He's scared Faleen He won't admit it, but he is scared of you." I said feeling his fear and savoring it, after all the pain and suffering he caused my family, I could not believe how wonderful his fear was. Sadly my thoughts where broke by a female cougar.
"Do not savor his fear young one. Lest you leave your guard down, and risk allowing the most insidious form of evil work into your heart. If you must feel for him, feel pity, pity him for allowing his anger, and rage to control him, to blind him to the life he once might have lead other wise."
She seemed very wise and I felt shamed at having taken that much joy from it and I nodded bowing my head in shame, "Thank you." I said to her as she smiled softly at me, closing her eyes and slightly bowing here head as they came up to help me now.

The bear opened the door to the bar as all eyes turned to look at him for a spilt second before resuming what they were doing. The bear looked around until he spotted the tiger who gave him a nod. The bear walked over, but not before ordering a drink.
"You're late" the tiger said in a growl.
"My apologizes" the bear said in a voice barely above a whisper.
"Have they arrived?" the tiger asked as his soft voice was not above the bear's own.
"Yes, they are staying at Jason Blackpaw's house."
"Dammit. When will Faleen start the ritual?"
"She's looking the boy over now."
The tiger rubbed his goatee before taking another swallow of ale.
"We only got one shot at this you know. If we screw up, we're dead."
"We won't fail. I know how powerful Faleen is, but Jason is the mystery. Any warrior can tell he holds most of his skill at bay in a fight, but can't be 2 places at once."
"Are the sacrifices you chosen ready?"
"Of course."
The tiger nodded and got up, grabbing his cloak.
"Keep your eyes on them, but make sure to stay out of eye sight. And whatever we do we can't risk harming Jason's cubs, those who do are often never seen again, and can't be raised from the dead."
"I know how to do my job" the bear growled. "You just make sure my payment is correct."
The tiger chuckled and tossed a sack of coins on the table.
"It's all there. You can count it if you want."
The bear weighed the sack in his hand before putting in his pocket.
"All right, our deal is complete" the tiger said with a nod.
"I will await your command to give the strike" the bear said finishing his drink.
"Very well" the tiger said putting on a black hat with a feather on the side and left.

I stood in Shadow's backyard looking at the large moon in the night sky. I held my chest again as the stone pulsed a little.
"So, you're going to let her get rid of me? After all we've been through together?" Tyrant said with a chuckle.
"It's for the better."
Tyrant laughed causing me to growl.
"Face it kid, without my help, you would've died against Thanos."
He had me on that one. Even with the full power of the Light stone and Ramza's help, we were no match for him.
"Just admit it, you need me more then I need you."
"I need you like a hole in the head" I said angrily. "What I want to know is why he was so intent on taking you? And who is this person he was talking about?"
"Your guess is as good as mine" Tyrant said and sounded honest which confused me.
"You mean you don't know why Thanos wanted you?"
"No. Not a one."
I stood there quietly as a slight breeze passed. For once it seemed like he was telling the truth. My ears perked up as I heard footsteps. Turning around, I saw Crystal walking up to me.
"Can't sleep?" he asked.
"Not really" I said looking back up in the sky.
"Is it about what Thanos said?"
"Something like that, among other things."
Crystal rubbed his forehead before placing his hand on my shoulder.
"Do not dwell in the past. For if you do, you will lose sight of the future. Live for today, not yesterday."
I looked at him as he smiled.
"Besides, I thought you came here to relax? And I already told Sha- I mean Jason and Faleen about it."
"Yeah you're right. I already have enough grey hairs."
We both chuckled and went inside to enjoy the rest of the night and have dinner, before bed.

I was sleeping peacefully, Tasha's head on my chest. Our door opened softly as a ball of fur rushed in and jumped into the bed making us both yelp in surprise.
"Good morning" the young cub said, tail wagging happily.
"Thomas" Sarah yelled rushing in. "It's rude to wake people up like that."
"I was just saying good morning" he said, ears folded back.
"It's okay Sarah" I said rubbing his head making him giggle. "So Thomas, how old are you?"
"I'm 5" he said happily.
"Wow, you're a big boy."
"Uh huh. When I grow up, I'm going to be just like my dad."
"Your father's a strong man. But I bet your one thing he's not."
"What's that?"
"Ticklish" I said as I started tickling him making him laugh.
Tasha got up and watched me next to Sarah.
"He's got a way with children" Sarah.
"I know" Tasha said somewhat sad.
"Is something wrong?"
"No it's nothing" Tasha said shaking her head.
"Okay Thomas, leave Ultimus alone now. I left you some of Jason's clothes. I think you should be able to fit into them."
"Thank you" I said with a nod as they left.
Getting up, I saw a pair of pants and a short sleeve shirt on the dresser. To my surprise, they fit pretty good a tad loose but still fit. Walking out, I headed downstairs where I saw Tasha, Sarah, Jenna, and Anna talking along with Crystal.
"Where's everybody at?" I asked.
"They left already. Said you take to long" Jenna replied.
"Well excuse me" I said with a huff. "You guys going to stay here?"
"Yeah. Sarah's giving us some beauty tips" Anna said.
"Besides, we have all week to play in the festival. Go have some fun Ultimus." Tasha told me.
"I see. Well I'm going to head down to see if I can find everybody."
I reached for the door when I felt something tug at my arm. Looking down, I saw Thomas holding me.
"Can I go with you?" he asked.
"Thomas, this is his vacation. I don't think he wants to be bothered" Sarah said as Thomas sighed.
"It's okay. Besides, I need a guide for around the town. You want to be my guide Thomas?'
"Yeah, you bet" he said with a happy bark.
"Okay, lets go" I said opening the door as he rushed towards the gate. "See you ladies when we get back."
Tasha watched me leave before letting out a sigh.
"What's wrong?" Sarah asked.
"You and Shadow seem so happy with your kids. But I know that it's physically impossible to bear Ultimus's cubs."
"I'm sorry" Sarah said softly.
"Don't be. I'm glad you guys are happy."
"Oh yeah, we're happy. But sometimes Shadow can be very depressed."
"Why?" Anna asked.
"Because females of his kind are few to none. In a way he is the father of his race. He was brought to this world to repopulate the werewolves. Werewolf females only come into heat once every two or three years. So when it comes mating season, he tends to be a little aggressive."
She blushed a little as the girls chuckled.
"But I will tell you one thing, he likes strong women. So don't be surprised if he tries to court you or Jenna. He's very hard to resist as he has that certain aura around him. And for him it's survival. Males of his race are more sexually active then females."
"I bet. He is kind of cute" Jenna said.
"So are you a werewolf also?" Tasha asked.
"No I'm not Tasha. But at times I wish I was."
They all let out a laugh as they continued talking.
"So does Thomas recall what happened?" Crystal asked.
Sarah sighed, "No thankfully, Faleen magically blocked the memories and made it seem more a nightmare."

Wow this town was a beautiful place. The air was clean, people were friendly, and there weren't a lot of horns beeping or people yelling at one another. Fresh food filled the air along with lively music and the sound of laughter. Our home was never this...nice.
"Where do you want to go first?" Thomas asked.
"You lead and I'll follow" I said with a smile.
We walked through the town until we saw a crowd surrounding a booth.
"What's going on?" Thomas asked.
"Let's go find out."
We inched our way through the crowd until we reached the front. It was there I saw what the fuss was about.
"You have to be cheating. No one can get 10 bull's eye in a row" a bull said to the person I didn't see.
"It's not my fault I'm a good shot."
I recognized that voice on the spot. Moving closer I saw Theft with a smile on his face.
"Theft?" I said confused.
"Oh, hey Ultimus" he said with a wave.
"What's going on?"
"Oh, he's mad because I beat him fair and square in a game of sharp shooting."
"Even I wouldn't be dumb enough to challenge you." I said with a chuckle.
The bull let out a snort as the booth attendant brought the daggers back.
"Fine, one more round. But this time you do it blind folded."
"All right by me" Theft said with a nod. "You first then."
The bull grabbed a couple of dagger and took aim. After a minute, he let them fly as they hit mid center, about an inch from the bull's eye.
"Good shots" Theft said. "Are you going to do the honors of blinding me?"
"I intend to" the bull said wrapping a handkerchief around his eyes.
He waved his hands in front of his face, satisfied when Theft didn't respond. Theft reached blindly around until he found the booth and the dagger waiting for him. Picking one up, he spun it in the palm of hand before tossing it in the air. As it came down, he grabbed it by the blade and flung it at the target as it went right through the bull's-eye. Everybody around him clapped in approval.
"I take it this proves that I'm not cheating?" Theft said taking the blind fold off.
The bull was livid as he took a swing at him. Theft anticipated it and smoothly dodged it. Using his slight quickness, he grabbed the other dagger and cut the belt around the waist of the bull as his pants dropped making everybody laugh.
"Sorry friend. I choose to humiliate then eliminate." Theft said with a smile.
The bull grabbed his pants up, running off red face.
"Nice going" I said.
"Thanks" Theft said putting the dagger down when I noticed the band on his arm.
"I see you got a band."
"Yep" Theft said with a smile when a cute female grabbed his arm.
At first I thought she was a vixen, but a second look said she was far from a normal vixen I was used to. From her waist up she was like a normal anthro red vixen, but from the waist down, she had the body of a non-morphic fox, but much larger.
"I couldn't help but notice the band on your arm. Would you care to go for a walk?"
"Why not beautiful. Lead the way. I'll catch you later Ultimus" Theft said being lead away by the vixen.
I felt a tug on my arm as Thomas looked up at me. "What's a matter you not see a foxytaur before?"
I shook my head, "No I haven't." I said sheepishly.
"Let's go have some fun."
"Okay, lead on."

"Wow, this place is really nice" Rose said walking with Xellos.
"I know. There was never anything like this back home."
They walked through the streets admiring everything until they saw a stage with people dancing and lively music.
"Looks like fun. Shall we check it out?" He asked.
"Yes, lets."
They walked over as the music died down and a collie walked up on the stage.
"Okay, is everybody ready for the dance contest?" he said to the crowd.
Everybody cheered as Rose and Xellos looked at each other.
"This year's winners will receive this gold trophy and a free dinner."
"Free dinner sounds good. Shall we try?" Xellos asked.
"You still remember our dance steps?" Rose asked with a smile.
"How could I forget?"
They walked up on the stage along with several other couples as the collie spoke again.
"All right, are the couples ready?' he asked as they all nodded. "Okay, let's get this party started. Music please."
The music started with a jazzy tango beat as everybody clapped their hands and moved to the rhythm. Rose and Xellos got the beat down quickly as people turned their attention to them.
"Now I remember why I fell in love with you" Rose said.
"And why is that?" Xellos said holding her close and running a finger slowly down her chest making her shiver and moan slightly.
"Because you're one hell of a dancer."
"Are you sure it's just that?" he said taking her into a spin before dipping her as the music ended and everybody cheered.
"There are other things. But you'll have to find those out yourself" Rose said giving him a kiss.
The collie got back on stage as he was clapping as well.
"All right, that was superb dancing. Probably the best I've seen in a while. Okay audience, you are the judge. Who are this year's winners?"
He walked around and raised a hand over each couple before they cheered loudly when he got to Rose and Xellos.
"Looks like we have our winners. May I have your names?"
"Rose and Xellos" my mom said.
"Well Rose and Xellos, here is your trophy and 2 tickets to the One Eyed Tiger's Inn. Congratulations."
Everybody cheered and clapped as they accepted the prize and took a bow.

"This place is really nice" Luna said walking along side Skorp.
"Yes very lovely. Reminds me of the party in Windurst" Skorp said.
"That party was good, but not as nice as this" Luna said sitting down on a bench under a large oak tree.
Skorp sat next to her and looked her over out the corner of his eye. God she truly was a beautiful person, inside and out.
"Bah, she wouldn't be interested in a person like me" Skorp said to himself.
"Something wrong?" Luna asked.
"Huh, oh uh nothing" Skorp said looking away.
She leaned back and closed her eyes as the sun rays warmed her up.
"How long have we known each other Skorp?" she asked.
"About 30 years."
"That long huh, wow."
"Tell me about it" Skorp said taking a bite of his apple.
"I'm going to ask a question and I want you to answer me truthfully."
"Okay" Skorp said nodding his head.
"Are you in love with me?"
Skorp gasped and started choking up his apple before looking up.
"Why do you ask this so suddenly?" he said, blushing heavily.
"I don't have to be a genius to know you have a crush on me. That's why you've been looking over me during the War of the Gods when Thanos betrayed us."
Skorp's face was beet red when he felt his head get turned around so he was looking directly into Luna's eyes.
"Tell me Skorp, are you in love with me?"
"I..."
Skorp tried to look away but she held him fast.
"I can always get it the fun way you know" she said with a smile.
"All right, you win" Skorp said taking a deep breath. "Yes, I...I'm in love with you Luna. I have been since the day I met you."
Luna smiled and pulled him into a kiss.
"See, that wasn't so hard, now, was it?"
"I guess" Skorp said.
"What a touching moment."
They both turned around to see me with Thomas.
"Ultimus" they both said.
"Hey ya" I said with a wave.
"How long have you been there?" Skorp asked.
"About the time you confessed you loved her. You 2 do make a nice couple."
"Thanks, I think" Skorp said turning red again.
Luna chuckled and put her head in his chest and sighed.
"Where you off too now?" Skorp asked.
"I'm trying to find everybody and see what they are up to."
"Okay, have fun."
"Let's go Thomas."
"Okay" he said nodding his head.
"Have fun you 2 love birds" I said with a laugh.

Tasha let out a sigh as she watched Sarah play with her kids.
"I really wish I could have Ultimus' kids." she said softly.
"Something wrong Tasha?"
She looked behind her to see Faleen.
"Oh, hello Faleen" Tasha said with a smile.
"How come you're not out enjoying the festival?"
"Don't feel like going today" she said with a sigh.
Faleen sat beside her in the grass.
"What's really troubling you?"
"It's nothing."
"Come on, talk to me. Girl to girl."
Tasha chuckled at that along with Faleen.
"Seeing Sarah here with her kids makes me wish I could have kids with Ultimus. But I know that's not possible."
Faleen looked at her as Tasha held her head down.
"It would be a dream come true if we could be a real family."
"What if I told you that I could make it happen?'
Tasha looked at Faleen who smiled.
"You can? How?"
"I have a large number of potion and spells that can make you go into heat and be fertile to any male who mates you at that time. The children will be wolves like you. It can also make your children just as fertile as well. Effectively, it will alter your reproductive system for the future also, so if you and Ultimus wanted more children in the future it would be more then possible."
"Oh, I would love that" Tasha said happily.
"Then how about we make a deal?"
Tasha looked at her curiously as Faleen grinned.
"I will give you the potion to make your dream a reality."
"What do you wish in return? There is always some price involved is there not?"
"One night in bed with Ultimus."
Tasha looked shocked at the request as she turned to look back at Sarah.
"When I get through with him, he will pleasure you in ways you never thought possible. You don't live for 1200 years and not learn a trick or two about mating and sex."
Tasha thought about it some more before smiling.
"All right, deal."
"Then it's settled then. I will get onto finding the right potion right after I teach him a thing or ten" Faleen said with a wink.
"Just leave some for me. When I go into heat, I can get pretty feral" Tasha said with a grin.

"Thomas!!"
We looked around until we saw a husky waving at us.
"Mr. Aegis!!" Thomas said happily running over.
"Hey there kiddo" Aegis said rubbing his head. "Getting big aren't you?"
"Uh huh."
"Who's your friend?" he asked looking at me.
"This is daddy's friend. I'm showing him around."
"Name's Arngrim" I said shaking his hand. "Pleasure to meet you."
"Likewise. Any friend of Jason is a friend of mine. Here you go, on the house" he said handing us 2 small loafs of bread.
"Thanks Mr. Aegis" Thomas said munching down.
"Thank you" I said with a small bow.
"No problem. Enjoy yourselves" he said as we waved goodbye.
Man, this was pretty damn good. It tasted fresh and hand made from scratch, not machine made. We walked around some more until we saw 4 female wolves with strange ice sculptors.
"Isn't the black one cute?"
"He's okay, but I like the grey one better."
"Are you kidding, the black one is way more handsome."
"Dream on, the grey one is a hunk of a wolf."
I walked over as they looked at me.
"Excuse me for intruding, but can you tell me where you got those figurines?"
"From the battle mages" one of them said.
"Battle...mages?" I said confused.
"The 2 wolves by the booth over there. It's a long wait but well worth it because they are both cute."
"I see, thank you for your time" I said with a bow.
Hmmm, 2 wolves, one grey and one black. I can only think of 2 people that fit that description. I felt Thomas tug my arm.
"Can I get one of those?" he asked.
"Sure, why not."
Boy she wasn't kidding when she said it was a long line. There had to be about twenty plus people waiting in line. Thankfully the booth they were at wasn't crowded in the back as we slipped in.
"Here you go beautiful" Tiger said handing a dragoness an ice figurine of a rose in a vase. "A rose for a rose."
"Thank you" she said blushing.
"Anything for you a cutey like you" Tiger said winking.
She walked away blushing and smiling as I walked up.
"Always the smooth talker huh?"
Tiger turned to see me and chuckled.
"I've got my ways."
"Where's Grey?" I asked looking around.
"He working on that ice block over there" Tiger said pointing to the right. "Some guy wants a statue made of him so Grey's doing the cutting."
"I thought you wanted to relax out here, not work?"
"When you look at all the beautiful, fine women out here, how can I refuse?" Tiger said with a grin.
"I take it you have a band?"
He turned to show me the band around his arm as I chuckled.
"What about Jenna?"
"I'm in love with Jenna, this is just sex. I'm entitled to have a little fun on my vacation right?"
I laughed and shook my head as Tiger looked down at Thomas.
"Hey there Thomas. You keeping this dummy out of trouble?"
"You bet" Thomas said with a smile.
"Would you like a figurine?"
"Oh yes please."
Tiger nodded and held his hand out as a small mist cloud appeared. Ice started to form and take shape as you heard it crack and pop. When the mist cleared, a dragon model made of ice stood in its place.
"Here you go Thomas."
"Wow, thanks Tiger" Thomas said holding the dragon.
"No problem. Now if you'll excuse me, I have dates to attend to."
Tiger turned back around to address the crowd as we slipped back out. To the right a little behind the booth, a small crowd gathered around a block of ice.
"Are you sure you can make it look like me?" I heard a voice say.
"Don't worry sir. I'm very skilled with a sword. I'll capture every detail of your body."
I recognized that voice as I saw an opening and squeezed through to see Greywolf measuring a medium size fox.
"Greywolf!?"
"One sec Ultimus" he said not taking his eyes off the fox.
Once he was done, he reached inside his pocket and pulled out a handful nails as he pushed them into different places in the block.
"Stand back please" he said pulling out Dragonstorm.
I saw his eyes dart from the ice to the fox and back again for about a minute. Dragonstorm glowed lightly before he started to swing. The sword cut right through the ice like butter. But to my surprise, no ice chips flew from the block as he swung faster.
"Finished" Greywolf said with a final swing.
"But it still looks the same" the fox said.
Greywolf grinned as he walked over and took the nails out. As he did, pieces of the ice fell on the floor until a copy of the fox stood there. The setting sun hit it just right as it glistened.
"A...amazing" the fox said walking up to it.
"Thank you" Greywolf said.
The fox turned to Grey with a gleam in his eyes.
"For such fine work, may I treat you to dinner tomorrow night?"
"Um...sure" Greywolf said with a blush.
"Thank you again Greywolf" he said with a bow. "Okay boys, load her up."
2 grizzly bears loaded the statue onto a cart and started down the road. They were halfway gone when I spoke to Greywolf.
"Aren't you even going to ask him his name?"
Greywolf snapped out of his trance and ran for the fox.
"Wait!!" he said.
The fox turned around and looked at Greywolf confused.
"Something wrong?"
"I forgot to ask your name. It would be rude to be invited to dinner by a stranger without knowing the host's name."
The fox gave a cute smile making Greywolf blush as he looked totally cute.
"Gene. Gene Melkin."
"Well Gene, I look forward to tomorrow night."
"As do I" Gene said with a slight wink and smile.
Greywolf walked back all smiles.
"Looks like you found yourself a keeper" I said.
"What makes you say that?"
I lowered my eyes as he followed to see a small tent in his pants. He went red all over before looking at me.
"Okay, maybe I found a cute one."
"A shame."
"Why?"
"Cause I was going to ask you out."
Greywolf's eyes went wide as I chuckled.
"Just kidding. I hope it turns out good for you."
"Hey bro, got another block to cut" Tiger called out.
"Right" Greywolf said walking towards the block before stopping and whispering in my ear. "If you ever did want to go 1-1, I'll make it worth your while."
My ears went red as he gave me a small lick on the ear and twisted his tail with mine briefly.
"You okay Ultimus?" Thomas asked looking at me.
"Yeah. What do you say we call it a day?" I said as the sky was getting dark.
"Okay."
We headed back towards Shadow's house. I got this sudden feeling of being watched as I turned around half expecting a fight to start but saw no one threatening me. I shook my head and fuzzled Thomas' head fur, and he looked at me as if wondering what was wrong, before walking home with him.

The tiger walked through the forest before coming to a cave opening. Walking inside, he disappeared, reappearing in front of a destroyed castle. He walked through the front where 5 people were waiting for him, all in robes covering their faces.
"Is everything ready Lezard?" the one in the middle asked.
"Everything is all set."
"Good" the one in the middle said again taking off his hood revealing his panda face as it was half burned as if acid had been thrown on his face. "Everything must go smoothly."
"What about Jason and Faleen?"
"Let us worry about them."
Lezard looked at all of them before stopping at the panda again.
"Tell me again why we're doing this again?"
The panda's eyes narrowed angrily.
"Do not concern yourself on why you are doing this."
"Why not? Our life is more on the line then yours."
"I said you will be well compensated for doing this."
"Is that before or after I'm dead?" Lezard said with a growl.
The robed figure next to the panda took off the hood revealing her face. She was a cheetah with red eyes and hair that went down her back.
"Do you not trust Xander's deal with you?" she said with a silky voice.
"The only thing I trust is myself and gold. I didn't bother asking why when I first accepted this job. But when the names Jason Blackpaw and Faleen get involved, things can get dicey."
"Will there be a problem?" Xander said.
"Maybe, maybe not. I don't know."
She gave a smile and walked up to Lezard. Her eyes started to glow lightly as she never broke eye contact with him. Lezard's eyes started to go unfocused and heavy as his whole body went from tense to relaxed.
"Now then Lezard" she said wrapping her arms around his neck and licking it softly. "Besides those 2 people, is everything else ready to go?"
"Yes mistress" Lezard said with a somewhat distant voice.
"How many people protect this boy from another world?"
"14, not including Faleen and Jason."
"I see, very well. Please keep me informed. You may go."
"Yes mistress" Lezard said with a bow before leaving.
Xander watched him go before grunting.
"He is getting to nosy for his own good."
"Relax Xander, I can handle him" the cheetah said with a smile.
"Even still Mystina, I want him rubbed out once we get Tyrant."
"As you wish."
"Now then, let us come up with a plan of action for the ritual."

"I'm...not the...true enemy."
"Who is it, tell me?"
"I'll...let you...find out...for yourself."
Dammit, what the hell did Thanos mean? I stood outside looking at the moon in the sky pounding that question over and over. It couldn't have been Darkstar, could it?
"Why don't you stop worrying about it?" Tyrant said.
"Why?"
"Because when I break free from here, you'll have to worry about me."
"Ohh, I'm really scared now" I said pretending to shake. "You may not admit it but you're scared of Faleen. Now shut up and let me think."
