Chapter 1.

Ounce upon a time there was an olden world of anthropomorphic animals known as furries. The world was filled with joy and laughter of all kinds through their expert use of technology in their olden futuristic world. Ruled over by their dragon king and queen and their little daughter that was soon to be heir to the throne of this futuristic world. But on one fateful night the queen was mysteriously murdered by an unknown attacker in the middle of the night, scarring her family and the entire kingdom mourned over her death. Soon the king got a risky idea, he would make contact with an underworldish being so that he may see his wife again.

Ounce the being was summoned in a darkest cloud of shadow the king begged and pleaded for a way to see his wife again. The beast complied and actually agreed to his plea and shifted himself into a powerful medallion to create a special dimension for the dead. This dimension was known today as the shadow realm, a dimension where dead take form as a shadow to be seen again by the living, but little did the king know that this comes at a certain price. The king was able to see his dragon wife again but... she felt a lot of pain and was formed into a deadly monster and attacked the king, nearly killing him in the process. She then escaped the shadow realm and went on a ramage through the city, begging everyone to kill her.

No one had the guts or bravery to stand up to the beast known formerly as their beloved queen, except one young fox boy who stood up to her with a dagger in hand and a tear in his eye. He walked up to the shadow and after her begging him to end her life, he cried a few tears and nodded before attacking the queen. The beast roared in pain and attacked back, leaving a deathly blow on the boy. The beast went to finish the job but before her daughter shielded the boy with tears in her eyes. The beast then roared and attacked her daughter over and over and over again while she shielded the fox boy with her body.

Soon after body blocking every attack the monster had at her the king dragon finally came and attacked the beast with a might blow to the head, killing her. As the shadow form of his wife started to fade away the king grasped the beast in his arms as she apologized to him and finally disappeared. Ounce the carnage finally subsided the king found the boy and his daughter covered in blood and wounds that were unhealable even by magic. The funerals of both children were held as the king mourned over his daughter and over the fox boy that stood up to the beast.

Guilty over torturing his wife and the death of so many citizens and especially his daughter he went and hid the cursed medallion away inside the castle where it shall never be seen again. But this did leave a curse on the entire kingdom, shadows now roam outside looking for prey and death so the king had to place a curfew for no one to roam outside the villages and especially at night. Years later, the king remarried and had a new daughter, everything felt like it was normal as things went by with the new laws.

But as the years went by and the technology went up the shadows numbers have been ever increasing and more powerful. This was worrying the king so much that he had to devise a new plan without hiring and sending more guards to their deaths every day so he had this crazy idea, so crazy that it just might work. He secretly made his way to the secret chamber where the shadow medallion was beign kept hoping he wasn't followed and started to use his magic on the medallion. Using this he hoped and prayed that he could use a shadow as some type of soldier to lower thier numbers. But was this decision foolish or a new hope for the world, only time will tell, we all have an inner shadow beneath us all right?

"Ugh... my head... where on earth am i?" He then rubbed his head gently as he stood up, slowly walking over toward the clean fountain of the garden he woke up in. As he looks in his reflection it was a reflection of a red fur colored fox with one eye red and black and his left side of his arm, torso and the left side of his face slightly darker. " Ugh, it feels like i might barf, get yourself together Doni, just try to remember on how you got here then you're golden as they say." "Freeze!" someone shouted in the distance as Doni's fox ears perked. "Oh great some company, I wonder what they want, better arm myself, don't know if they are friendly or not." Doni thought to himself as he saw a nearby garden scythe with two blades on the end that can bend to carrying size. "As they all say, anything can be a weapon" Doni thought as he quickly grabbed the garden tool and attached it to his back to hide it.

"Freeze right there criminal!" the incoming guard shouted as he pointed a rifle at Doni with magical bullets inside the magazine. Doni rolled his eyes and put his hands behind his head, "And what am I supposed to be charged with to be declared a criminal already huh?" Doni said with a cocky attitude. "How dare you give me that tone you filth! Troops fall in!" the guard yelled as more guards with swords and rifles of different calibers of magic pointed straight at Doni. "Humph, I suppose it can't be helped huh," Doni said with a smile as he pulled out the garden scythe and pointed it at the guards.

"Weapon sighted! Kill him!" The guard shouted as the ones with rifles started to shoot at Doni with rapid fire. Doni smiled as he dodged and deflected the bullets while rinning toward the guards, making them panic. "Huh? how did he do that? And with a simple garden scythe!" one guard shouted in shock as Doni disarmed the ones with rifles with kicks and hit them with the back of the tool. "Charge him! he can't take on two at ounce!" A guard shouted as two guards charged Doni at both sides with swords. "Humph, a foolish effort" Doni chuckled as his paw flared up with fire as he blocked one sword and shot a fire spell at the other guard charging him, knocking them both down.

"B-but how, does does a criminal like you know such techniques and even common fire magic!" the guard shouted in shock as Doni pinned him to the ground after quickly tripping him. " Guess its a thing called talent, now tell me where I am before i slice you clean in half!" Doni shouted as the guard shivered in fear and closed his eyes, soon after a charging sound can be heard from a distance. "Now that is quite enough there sir!" The mysterious voice shouted as it sounded like a woman's voice. The furry woman then came out of the shadows with a big rocket launcher of sorts, she was a dire wolf in really high grade armor, her fur grey and her hair purple. "C-captain Sinful! please save me from this lunatic!" the guard shouted in fear as Doni lifted his foot and weapon and the guard ran away quickly after getting up.

The dire wolf captain sighed in disappointment and annoyance as he ran off, "Why do i even try to save your butt's if you all just runaway anyway" Sinful sighed as she turned the rocket launcher back into a ultra great sword. "And who are you supposed to be?" Doni said with annoyance, "Mind the attitude there sir, I am Captain Sinful Doggo of the royal guard here at this castle, and I recommend you drop your tool and surrender for what you did to my guards!" Sinful shouted as she pointed her ultra great sword at Doni. "Oh? And what if I don't want to surrender and want to get my tail out of here?" Doni asked with a smile. "I highly advise against that sir, you won't be able to get past me to begin with," Sinful said with a smile. "Then thats a challenge i'm willing to take!" Doni shouted as he went to charge at Sinful.

But then a random wall of ice appeared before the two and Doni slammed right into it and hurt his head, " hey what gives!" Doni shouted as he was then randomly picked up and was flown away out of the garden to escape the castle. "What the..?" Sinful said in confusion as she punched the ice in frustration. "Damn it! how will we be able to catch him now!" Sinful shouted in anger. " Don't worry captain, we will catch him eventually, plus this is the work of my daughter for sure." the woman wolf in a high priority dress appeared from behind Sinful, "Oh, your majesty! I apologize for my shameful behaviour!" Sinful said in a bow to the Wolfess queen. " It's okay captain, we'll find them for sure, and then ounce found he shall be executed, gather the troops, a search party is in order." the queen said with a chuckle. " Yes Queen Vivia!" Sinful shouted as she went to go gather her troops to search for Doni.
