Counter Earth Chronicles - Fallen Empire

Chapter 109: The Future Of Our Future Part 1

Day 312 [November 17th] 11:58 AM (Friendship Park)

*scribble* *scribble*

Nut's. It has been twelve days since I made a journal entry. So much for trying to get caught up. Things have just been too busy in medical even after the additional staffing. The funny thing about it is the days on this planet are thirty six hours long and there still isn't enough time to get everything done. The varying color of the sky is different from what I am used to as well. But it does look pretty.

"It is a beautiful golden morning, this morning!" A chippy monkey girl asked peeking over the journal I was writing in.

"It makes everything the suns shine on look priceless." I responded scribbling furiously.

"So whatcha doing?!"

"Hey Minka, what's up?"

"I asked you first Mr. Alex!"

"Journaling- trying to get caught up and I am doing a poor job at it."

"Where did you leave off?" The kinetic monkey wearing a white shirt with pink shorts asked me.

"I think August 9th." I replied blushing.

"That was over three months ago! Bad Alex, for shame!!!" She chidded me.

"Um, something I can help you with Minka?" I asked the former Ghost Hunter.

"Nah, Aurthur, Kiwi, Yogi and I are just trying to find something to do."

"Well there is the park we are in right now." I said sarcastically.

"You are not serious right?" The monkey girl asked channeling Tippi. "Look around it is nothing but a patch of gravel and two benches!!!"

"Well typically three if you include the section over there where the warriors spar." A hedgehog boy said, jumping into our conversation.

"Guys, it isn't much of a park now- but you know Corey will figure out how to expand it. Maybe some trees, a creek, some trails and the like. But don't forget you have the woods outside of the city. There is also a lake nearby and you don't have to worry about monsters, Others or hostile aliens." I said longing to get back to my journal which I was so far behind on.

"No just the locals who said that those areas are theirs." Kiwi sighed overhearing my conversation with Arthur and Minka.

"Who said that?" I asked Song's charge.

"All of them." The boy said, sighing.

"When we try to climb the trees outside of the city, the tree-folk tell us that it is off limits." Yogi said coming over.

"And when we try to swim in the lake the mere-folk tell us that it is off limits as well." Kiwi added.

"So each group is telling you that you are trespassing on their territory?"

The four youngsters nodded.

"Perhaps you could ask each group for permission?"

"You know we never thought of that?" Kiwi said to his companions.

"If that doesn't work, negotiate." I said wryly. "Perhaps you can offer them something in exchange."

"Great idea, Mr. Alex!!" Minka exclaimed. "I know why we keep you around!!!"

(Indeed...)

Now where did I leave off?

Day 213 continued [August 9th]

Oh yes- Shakara and I were being hugged by our bear and sharing some quality time our first night in our new (old) townhouse when the city was visited. T'hoka, Arugula and Tanya went to confront what they thought were invaders. We joined the mountain reedbuck, springhare and red deer preparing to defend our new home. Corbin and Dawn followed behind.

"Who goes there?!" T'hoka shouted as five brown creatures entered the city and proceeded to move toward us- quickly.

The barbarian deer's question was answered by grunting, a lot of grunting.

Tanya looked at T'hoka, "Did you understand a word they said?"

The beings were humanoid looking with short roundish legs, long arms, roundish torsos, oval eyes that were slit like with pig noses. They appeared to be a foot taller than us and made this grunting groaning sound.

"They are mudmen!" I shouted.

"Mud folk is the proper term Alex." Professor Stern said, correcting me.

"They don't look happy." Shakara observed.

There appeared to be three males and two females. The taller of the five stop right in front of T'hoka.

*grunt* *groan* *grunt*

Dawn noticed that the other males were each carrying a female both appeared to be in some form of serious distress.

"It is a medical emergency. They need our help." The blond archeologist concluded.

"Show them to the infirmary." My bear warrior ordered.

"But we aren't set up to treat mud folk!" I stated.

*grunt* *grunt* *grunt*

The lead mud creature shouted.

"I understood that." Ms. Stern said.

"What did he say?" The little mongoose boy asked.

"This is where the premiere health center is located is it not?" Dawn said translating.

"Where would they get that impression?" Shakara asked.

"Never mind that, they need help." Corbin's adoptive mother said.

T'hoka and Tanya showed the mud creatures to the infirmary on the third floor of the central tower where inside Shakara and I were bewildered as how to even assess let alone treat the two females who appeared to be in some kind of distress.

"Alex you encountered the mud folk before, what do you know about them?" My lioness said grabbing her med kit.

"Um, they are mud creatures, that live in um.. mud." I said stupidly.

"Alex!" My fierce ursine warrior said chastising me.

"Right. Mistress, Corbin, Dawn we need your help."

"Um with what?" My sister's doppelganger asked.

"Let's get the two females onto the beds." Lady Ursa said. "Dawn, assist me."

"Corbin, T'hoka, Tanya calm down the others." I ordered as Shakara tried to figure out why the female mud creatures were in distress; both continued to writhe in the beds that they were placed in.

"Are they having cardiac pain?" The red deer asked the red eyed lioness.

"Do they even have hearts?" Corbin countered as Dawn gave him a dirty look.

"I don't know! I can't interpret these readings!" Shakara said looking at her triangle scanning device as the females continued groaning and grunting.

"What do we do?" I asked our colony's healer.

My devious person was at a loss when one of the females let out a loud shriek and then exploded!

**SPLUT**

"What just happened?!" Corbin screamed.

"OH MY GOSH!!!" I shouted.

"Was it a explosive?!" Tanya shouted as the second female did the same.

**SPLUT**

The infirmary and all of us were covered in mud.

"Alex, why didn't you detect that?" My bear knight asked.

"My precognitive abilities, they don't work on this world."

"So it was Counter Earth thing." The little mongoose boy said looking at his mud covered clothes.

"We are sorry for your loss." Ms. Stern started to say to one of three males.

"No need Dawn." Tanya said looking at the faces of the three remaining mud folk.

They were smiling!!!

"Momma bear?" The little mongoose boy asked.

"I think I understand." Lady Ursa said. "It is scary but I understand."

"Alex!!" My devious person said as the mud splotches dripped off of our clothing, the walls, and furniture and started reassembling in the two beds our patients had been in previously. The females soon reappeared holding smaller versions of themselves!!!

"They were in labor?" Dawn said floored.

"So it appears." The mountain reedbuck said.

"They reproduce through fission." Red deer exclaimed.

"Gross, but fascinating." The little mongoose boy exclaimed.

*grunt* *groan* *groan*

"Thank you for your assistance. We grew concerned when it was taking longer than it should. It appears our concerns were unfounded." Dawn said translating.

*groan* *groan* *groan*

"This is indeed a fabulous health center. We will definitely spread the word to all." Dawn said translating again.

(UH, OH!)

Before letting our patients return to their homes. Shakara took baseline readings of the two females and the three males in case we would have to assess them again in the future.

"Well that was certainly different." Tanya said.

"Yes my dear, where did they ever get the idea that Alex and Shakara were capable of treating all ailments regardless of species?" T'hoka said as he and his lover departed.

"Or that this was a regional medical center?" My pregnant brown bear asked as Shakara and I reexamined the two newborns.

Corbin looked at his guardian. "Was there something in the agreement that was made with the Chado we didn't know about?"

"Nothing that stands out immediately. Hmm...but there was a clause that said we would assist those who were in need in a central location if a need arose." The female archeologist concluded.

"Such a flake." Corbin face palmed.

"Dawn, let me see that agreement." The brown bear said to the blond human.

Shakara and I kept the two female mud creatures and their young overnight for observation. Tanya and T'hoka found accommodations for their companions.

Day 214 [August 10th] 8 AM

"Thank you!! Take care!!" I said waving as our patients departed in the dawn darkness. "My those babies were extra cute." I said taking my lioness' paw.

"Yes they were little cutie. I still haven't gotten used to 8 AM still being pitch black."

"Remember days and nights are six hours longer on this world Shakara."

"Well, I am ready for some sleep."

"I think we should get something to eat first." I countered.

We went downstairs, but before going into the Wild's establishment, we stopped off to visit the leadership. We found my perfect person in her office still reading over the agreement Sanda, Chemar, Cole, Sorren and Dawn had negotiated with our landlords.

"Mistress?" I asked walking into her office.

"It looks like you two had an exhausting night."

"Yeah but rewarding. I think I even saw you freakout a little when the babies were born." The lioness teased the bear.

"Yes, whatever the species, I realized births are painful." My pregnant she beast concluded.

"Are you worried about yours? It is only 4 ½ months away." The devious lioness said her face grinning wide.

I decided to wisely ignore my lioness lover.

"So did you discover anything reading that agreement?" I asked fidgeting.

"Yes, the infirmary is not really an infirmary but a hospital. More like a medical center pet."

"Really?"

"A regional medical center seeing to the needs of all on this side of the planet." She said smiling at Shakara and myself.

"OH CRAP!!" Shakara and I said in unison.

The next few weeks we would get to know our neighbors and the populace on that side of the planet really well. We would treat all sorts of injuries and ailments from discoloration, fungus, rotting bark to damaged limbs. It was quite exhausting. How exhausting? My after hours time deteriorated from sex with my lovers to just nude cuddling. Shakara and I were too tired to do anything else with our bear.

But if I could put a Dawn Stern spin on it, we made acquaintances with the mud folk, mere folk, tree folk, forest folk, sky folk and few other creatures whose names I can't recall right now. To the uninitiated, it was like the planet was from a Tobin Wolf cartoon. I wouldn't be surprised to see fairies and sprites next.

Day 235 [August 31st] 9:45 AM Central Tower Meeting Room

"Alex, Shakara what can we do for you?" The badger warrior said as the rest of the leadership looked on.

"You know why we are here Lady Barq." I said really fatigued.

"Ursa says that you have been getting annihilated in the infirmary." The rhino next to the badger and saber tooth tigress said.

"Commander that has been an understatement." The dark tan lioness next to me said. "We have become the de facto health center for the entire area."

"Those two have been quite busy for the last three weeks." Shira said.

"It finally calmed down late yesterday. But we can't run the infirmary with just the two of us." I said to the four beastials on the other side of the meeting table.

"Are you seeking help from the colony?" Sanda asked.

"You didn't hear?" The badger asked the caracal.

"Sandu offered to be a fill in nurse." I said to the four. "It didn't go well.... Don't ask."

"Besides, everyone else is busy with the reconstruction and restoration of the city." My lioness added.

"But surely you could find another fill in nurse!" Shira suggested.

"The four of you would do nicely." I said channeling Corey Collins. "How about you report tomorrow?"

"If each of you put in about eight hours a day..." Shakara said eyeing the rhino, badger, saber tooth tiger and caracal hungrily.

That got them talking!

"You made your point." Rhinox stated.

"We did Commander Rhinox?" The lioness said smirking.

"Actually it was T'hoka's personal account of the female mud folk's pregnancy." Sanda responded.

"Alex, Shakara what do you need?" Shira asked.

"We have been here almost an entire month sir and there are only about forty of us to run medical, garden, cook, wash and repair the city."

"We should go back and liberate the other colonies that were friendly to ours and bring them here." The red eyed lioness suggested. "If we increase the population, we can increase staffing in medical, fill other vacant positions and speed up the repairs of the city."

The four deliberated again for a moment.

"Agreed we will put something together and get back to you." Lady Barq said.

Day 238 [September 3rd] 11 PM (Lady Ursa's chambers)

"Whoa, mistress are you starting to show?" I said eyeing my beloved's tummy.

"Let's find out." The nude female said embracing me from behind. The experience was like I was lying on my own brown furry backrest. "Well pet?"

"Nope must have been a trick of the light." I said smiling. "But I am going to miss this when you do start showing."

"Then I think we should make the most out of the time we have left en big cutie?" The dark tan lioness said licking her chops.

"Indeed." My perfect person said steadying me as the nude lioness crawled seductively toward us.

As she arrived she tucked my shins and feet behind thighs so I was presenting my groin to her. That was when she moved in on her target.

*GRAB*

*RUB* *RUB*

"Oh Shakara!!!" I moaned as the horny she beast placed my flaccid penis between her big tatas and started rubbing. I wasn't flaccid for long. Especially after she grabbed a breast with each paw and started moving one up and the other down and then repeating the motion kneading my penis.

"Feels great eh little cutie?"

"Unbelievable!!! HNNNG!!!"

"It doesn't look like he is going to last too much longer Shakara, perhaps you should slow down?" The bear said reading the contorted expressions I was making during my lioness' titfuck."

"Aw, he should be able to last a little while longer, right big cutie?

"UNGFF!!!" Was all I managed to moan as my penis started spasming and my testicals contracted.

"Whoops, guess not!" My devious person said, unfolding my legs and moving my manhood from her breasts to her cub maker in just a nick of time as I started spliching.

"OOAHH!!!" I moaned as my sentience faded away and I was awash with incredible sensations. Before I did I managed to grab two handfulls of lioness ass.

"Good to the last drop. Thank you little cutie." Shakara said kissing me while I was still out cold numb to the world.

"MMRFF!!!" I muttered.

"I think he said that it was his pleasure." The bear said to the lioness. "Shakara have you ever thought about having cubs of your own?"

"Yeah." She said laying down on me.

"That reminds me of the day I met you, there was that cute red maned lion who had volunteered for the Madam's experiment." I said as my sanity returned.

"You mean Trevor." Ms. Kubari said.

"I would think very hard- Shakara- Alex's mission could be your only chance for you to procreate." My perfect person said to my devious person.

"Nah, I like the family I have now and when your daughter is born that will be more than enough for me."

"How long again?" The pregnant bear asked her lioness.

"Late December or mid January at the latest big cutie." Shakara said as the two nuzzled.

"Wait what do you mean mission?" I gasped.

"Alex, Lady Barq assembled an away team to transport our allies from Counter Earth and bring them to Chaundoon." Lady Ursa said.

"I thought that was tomorrow morning?!"

I looked at my naked bear- She raised her eyebrow and my nude lioness who gave me that broad feline grin of hers.

"12:01 AM tomorrow morning, which will be in about four minutes." Little cuttie.

"I guess I will have to take a rain check on the rest of our playtime." I said kissing my lovers.

"We will just have to pick up where you left off." Shakara said, returning the kiss.

"Make sure you come back otherwise I will hunt you down." My fierce ursine warrior said kissing me.

I quickly ran to the central tower to clean up.

"Oh, it is too early!" I said walking to the building that housed the bridge between Chadooun and Counter Earth. I opened the door and inside found Manderine, Corbin and a strong female badger warrior."

"I see you are running late." My mistress' friend and rival said.

"Well it is after midnight." I shot back.

"I am sorry to rip you from the arms of Shakara and Ursa- Alex." Lady Barq said. "But I thought this was the best time to depart."

*YAWN*

Corbin and the badger warrior looked at each other. While Manderine laughed.

"Big brother are you ok?" The mongoose boy asked.

"Tired and exhausted or is it exhausted and tired?" I mumbled.

"Looks like you didn't get any rest before the mission." Lady Barq said.

"Actually, I forgot it was tonight. I am also surprised to see the two of you." I responded joining them on the platform between the obelisks.

"I selected myself and Corbin because we initially made contact with Naka's group near World Three. You were present when contact was made with Kala's group and the both of you were present when you explored World Four earlier this year."

"Besides per the protocol, a healer or medic needs to be present on all away missions. You are also the hostile environment and Other specialist and Lady Barq is the monster specialist." The little mongoose boy said cheerfully.

"And you are?" I asked my little brother.

"Tactical."

*Screech* *Screech*

"And Manderine is going to watch the gate for us. We will alert him when we are ready to return." Corbin said.

"Rhinox and Ms. Una will be screening all who want to come to World Seven to make sure we don't have any undesirables." The lady badger said nodding to our spacegate operator.

"I really do hate this part... AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!"

Corbin, Lady Barq, Manderine, the blue coupe and myself disappeared in a vertical stream of light reappearing on the platform in the chasm.

"Corbin." The badger warrior said.

"Right."

Emergency Authorization Corbin Mongoose.

Surveillance Probe Engaged.

"Nothing for a mile either direction." The little boy responded.

*Screech* *Screech* Manderine said.

"Thank you and to you. When we return hopefully it will be for the last time." The badger said to the Chado.

I hopped in the passenger seat with Corbin while Barq sat down in the copilot seat and we were off.

"Engaging hover mode." She announced.

As soon as we took to the sky. Corbin engaged the holo-projector. To any observers we looked like a hummingbird leaving its nest in a remote cavern.

"Overwatch what time is it?"

*3:38 PM Mr. Winter.*

"And on Chaundoon it is just after midnight! Geez!!!"

*Different world Mr. Winter.*

"Momma badger what is our first stop?"

I looked at the female warrior as she thought for a moment. It had been a month since we fled Counter Earth.

"Let's head back to our former home." She replied.

"I was thinking the same thing." Corbin said.

I didn't hear much more after that because I was out like a light after we passed through the chasm. It must have been the time difference and spacegate lag.

A few short hours later...

"While you have been away the golem has waged war against the synoptic." I heard a familiar fennec sentinel say.

"Feleen." I said stirring.

"Welcome back to the vertical position Mr. Winter." Lady Barq said, staring at my groin. Next to me Corbin seemed to be pointing and not with his paws mind you.

(Huh?)

As my vision focused, I looked at the upper left monitor of the center stack to see Feleen's image. She was wearing two earings, a elaborate golden collar decorated with blue sapphires. Two armbands on each of her arms that matched her collar, those had small golden chains that mated with a bracelet on each wrist. That was it... nothing else.

"Um, new look? Feleen?" I asked glancing at her exposed chest while my little brother did the gawking.

"Why yes. I had to find something to occupy my time after your departures. Do you like?"

"Do we!!!" The little mongoose said. "Those breasts are nicer, thicker and fuller than the professor's!"

"If we could have figured out how to take your program with us, we would Feleen. However technology on World Seven is limited." Lady Barq said apologetically.

"We are way off topic, so you were saying about Claudius?" I asked redirecting the conversation.

"Not Mr. Price but the golem's attack on World ONE left it badly damaged. It has been an enemy of the synoptic ever since."

"Has TWO visited any of the entity's other strong holds?" Lady Barq asked.

"Unknown my lady, the communication network it was using is down as is ours. At this moment I can only observe World ONE from a distance."

"What about the camera that was set up south of World Five?" Corbin asked the fennec sentinel.

"It went down during a seismic disruption weeks ago."

"Well we are almost at our former colony, we could swing by and check it out." Corbin said cheerfully.

"I would like that." Feleen said as the mongoose boy and badger woman grew silent. _"Something wrong?" _

"What happened here?" I heard the badger warrior exclaim.

"OH WOW." My little brother added.

*It would appear that a cosmic event took place.*

"What are you two going on about? The hell!!!"

Where our underground colony, the Chado's former home had once stood was nothing but a very large crater. The forest around it was equally devastated."

"Automated assistant confirm."

*Affirmative Lady Barq this is where the Lost City once stood."

"Analysis?" The badger asked turning to Corbin.

"Something very large and fast hit the ground and disintegrated on impact." Corbin said playing with the front mounted camera. "It looks like it and the surrounding area was taken out by the shockwave."

"So this is why the camera went down."

We made quite a few passes over our former home before turning north and flying toward World Five. There we found equal levels of destruction. The city was gone, only the lake remained and rubble within the lake.

"I am detecting an equally larger crater." Corbin said looking at the feedback from the probe. We were lucky to have left leave when we did."

"There is no going back."

*The level of devastation is consistent with several large meteor strikes.*

"But what are the chances that something like this happening?" The badger warrior said looking at the destruction.

"Perhaps it was something that Sir Ram, Mara, Primrose or Cody did? Remember they are traveling through time. Who is to say they didn't do something that altered the timeline and changed the course of planetary events?"

*That is a disturbing hypothesis Ms. Feleen.* Overwatch said.

"In their desperate attempt to destroy ONE they could be causing collateral damage as well." Corbin said.

"The timeline could be changing right now or have changed and we would not not know." The lady badger said.

*scribble* *scribble*

Barq, Corbin, Overwatch, Feleen and myself realized that our leadership had made the right call in abandoning the Lost City a month ago, because a month later it was no more. They say timing is everything. They also say you can't go home again.

*scribble* *scribble*

"Have you caught up yet?" Minka said peering over my journal.

"I am up to September." I said smiling.

"So now you are only two months behind, good Alex!!" She said petting me on the head.

"Hey, how did the four of you make out?"

"Oh that, well we convinced the mere folk to let us swim in their lake." Minka said proudly.

"And the tree folk to climb their trees." Aurthur added.

"Outstanding you four!! Very good! But how did you accomplish that?" I asked.

"Oh that, we agreed to let them renovate the park." Kiwi said as Yogi nodded.

I watched as three humanoid looking plant people followed the youngsters around the park. A pretty female who was coated in flowers moved a few to the baren ground while her two male companions started planting saplings.

"It will take some time, but this will be a pleasant place to congregate, play or just relax after a long day, don't you think?" The young yeti said as we watched the plant people- err tree folk renovate the park.

"Yeah." I smiled.

To Be Continued....
