Epiphyte Containment Facility's Rules/Protocols

  1. All subjects are kept safe within each containment facility. The size, material, color, and all other conditions within the facilities are made to fit the ideal definition of what would best suit our subjects the most.

  2. We mean to keep our entities alive and healthy for the sake of extracting sufficient data. We preform tests, conduct experiments, sometimes surgical procedures, and analyze the behavioral traits of our entities.

  3. Research teams are assembled to go out and find clues as to what type of history each entity possesses, even if that means venturing out into the wild and collecting information. We may find more and more about our Planet's dark past the further we research each captive entity.

  4. Each Monster is partially composed of Plant-based DNA, just like any of our Planet's ordinary Planetary inhabitants. Each is given an appropriate name, and a number starting after "ECF", which stands for "Epiphyte Containment Facilities".

  5. Workers and associates can leave whatever input they like in the personal logging systems. If one wishes to make their info either private, or accessible to their colleagues, that is a free option. Regardless, their names will be protected one way or the other from the public, for the sake of keeping our facilities secret. This precautionary measure is enforced to ensure our case files are not exposed to interstellar hackers, which is highly unlikely, but must still be considered a possibility.

  6. All information regarding the identities of each member in our association is strictly protected, even to the point of editing out words/sentences that may hint towards a specific gender, age, sexual orientation, species, eye color, skin, fur, or feather color, etc. Either way, personnel is told not to include such information.

  7. Each personnel's DNA is recognized by a system which quietly scans all around the entire establishment every second of the Day. Those who aren't allowed in Epiphyte Containment Facilities are either employed permanently, or are kept inside of our Humane Prison Sector (which is quite fancy, spacious, comfortable, and provides the highest quality food). We try to compensate, especially for having to trap those who accidentally stumble upon us. We know it's not their fault, but secrets must be kept. Plus, a hefty amount of funds do go towards loftily trapping our intruders, so we do our best at convincing them to work for us.

[( Description : Epiphyte Containment Facilities is located within a vast secret shelter, which is hidden beneath layers of Planet Plantet's organic underground regions. Planet Plantet is an organic Planet that is generally a massive plant altogether. It's located in the Marvelir Planetary System, which is located in the Vitaloc Galaxy, being within the Havem-747 Universe, which altogether is within the Havem Multiversal Collective. Just to be exact with the locational details. Keep in mind that most Planets are comprised of a worldwide arcane force, in other words; Magic. Advanced technology is also a prevalent occurrence within the entire Havem Universe, which combined with the forces of magic, helps ECF Foundation in its efforts to both capture and imprison malevolent plantlike monsters, hence the name 'Epiphytes'.)]

History : Seven hundred thousand Years ago, Planet Plantet used to be a horrifyingly dark place. Mages, unlucky stranded travelers, Swordsmen, and other types of survivalists had rough times just trying to step foot outside without getting attacked by terrifying plant-based monstrosities. The story behind this: One Day, the Planet was mysteriously deprived of light. Planet Plantet is generally a massive round plant floating in space, which means sunlight is a critical need, providing it with sanity, health, and life. However, regardless of Day or Night, darkness had decided to suddenly permeate the land, for some unbeknownst anomalous reason. It was an anomaly that nobody could ever figure out, leaving billions in a state of worry and panic.

|

After Days of light-deprivation, an ancient consciousness awoke within the Planet Plantet. Deprived, starving, and insane, it created and summoned behemoths of pure horror to collect the essences of all creatures containing even the tiniest amounts of energy. Their bodies and souls were used to provide itself with light, until Plantet became sane again. Once sanity was restored, the awakened consciousness within the Planet realized the atrocities it committed. In a state of shock, Planet Plantet returned every soul and life it took. Those countless lives were granted immortality as a supposed "apology", and still live on the Planet in their present generation. While most inhabitants were pleased with this gift, some were utterly grieved by this over the course of over 700,000 Years, calling their gift a curse. Some wanted to live and die average lives. This age was known in Plantetian history as "The Age of Immortality".

ECF-1 : Vesprodite: (Hive Monster) [Singular Queenlike Entity] 10 ft tall, 4.6 ft wide, and 595.8 lbs.

Age: 729,983 Years old

|

Description :

Found to be one of many older species of plant-based monsters, considering the ages are usually an average of 703,500 Years old. Hexagonal hives full of Red Wasps (ECF-1A) and Black Bees (ECF-1B) are imbedded as a part of its back, chest, torso, tail, limbs, and behind it's head. It's eyes are an illuminant red, lighting up darkness in whatever direction it gazes. It's body secretes a strong pheromone which it uses to command the insects who inhabit it. It's appearance somewhat resembles that of an anthropomorphic Reptilian, but it cannot be pin-pointed which Reptilian species it resembles most. It's body is mostly black, and has an unkempt mane made of vines draping around it's neck and shoulders. It has arched dark-grey horns, and long spindly clawed fingers.

|

When its colony of Bees and/or Wasps grows overpopulated, ECF-1 scoops them up and digests handfuls of them in order to gain proper nutrition. This significantly cuts down on the surplus population of insects. Their nutritional value is much higher than normal, due to thousands of Years of unnatural genetic alteration through ECF-1. The red wasp's stingers contain pouches of poison which inflicts victims with scalding hot venom, a venom which burns from the inside-out.

|

The black bees infect victims with a virus which temporarily zombifies them, until they collapse from hyperactive decomposition. Any life-form who's stung by the black bees will become one of ECF-1's pawns within a time limit of roughly 3 1/2 minutes.

|

It's undead slaves (ECF-1D) are orally consumed upon collapse, providing ECF-1 with even more sustenance. ECF-1 will additionally devour their souls upon the moment of their deaths, afterwards stocking their souls into the bodies of the Black Queen Bees. The Black Queen Bees, labeled as ECF-1C, are leaders of both colonial species of insects. They are identified with red stripes along their thoraxes, and glowing red compound eyes. Their stings will cause both venomous internal burning, and hyperactively decompositional zombification.

|

Background :

ECF-1 is the first monster of our Planet to be contained within our facilities. It was spotted roaming the darkness within the Forests next to the City of Reptaliss. One of the Border Patrol Mages guarding the City within one of the 21 towers spotted ECF-1. It was quietly stalking a local |Planetary| denizen on |their| way to the threshold of the City. Luckily the Mage had administered a trapping spell from the tower, keeping both the monster and it's swarm of bees/wasps contained within a protective forcefield. Once our facilities received word of this, we came to apprehend ECF-1. As it turns out, there were 2 individuals who'd been attacked by ECF-1 on its way through the woods. They appeared sick, and were going completely insane... So we took them with us to the facilities for additional analysis.

|

After transportation, researchers ended up extracting and freeing a total of 41,844 individual Souls from ECF-1's Queen Bee nests. Although it took hours to find ways to sedate ECF-1 and all of it's bodily inhabitants, it took even longer to actually sedate them with the potent sedation spray. The spray was used to safely transport ECF-1 without the risk of escape.

|

Behavior/Nature :

ECF-1 is usually quiet at first, yet it displays frantic behavior whenever approached by any existing life-form. It blasts a high-pitched noise exceeding roughly 212 decibels. Once the noise is made, it's insects are drawn out in a violent frenzy.

|

Facility's Established Environment :

We prefer ECF-1's calm side, so we've transplanted trees within it's chambers in order to simulate it's natural environment. Artificial lakes have also been established, in order to provide water and hydration for ECF-1A, ECF-1B, and ECF-1C (All three insect species). Lighting has been fixed to exceed no more than 210 Lumens from a height-distance of 42 ft, due to the fact that ECF-1 feels most content in dimly lit darkness. And yes, it is necessary that we do this. We've applied air ducts which've been covered inside and out, and on both ends with protective magical forcefields which guard the ventilation. The magic barriers keep all forms of matter out, except oxygen and carbon dioxide, both of which are needed in order for ECF-1 to breathe healthily.

|

Examples of Body Parts :

ECF-1's body is a biological mystery in some ways, such as it's extremely heavy weight, and glowing red eyes. What can be most understood however, is an organ we've never seen before. A black sphere measuring 2 ft in diameter located underneath the center of ECF-1's chest. We've found that this organ serves a different purpose than it's heart. The sphere has several vein-like conduits which carry it's black blood to all of the hives imbedded in it's body. It is like a secondary heart, except reserved for only the hive. This is presumed to be why the insects have such irregular physical qualities. Each empty hexagon located in ECF-1's hives work as a chamber which imbues each insect with ECF-1's DNA.

|

Recorded Tests/Experiments :

Test 1: From behind a sound-proof magical barrier, our researchers used a hose to spray ECF-1 with clear unfiltered water. Upon physical contact, ECF-1's muscles convulsed wherever the water landed, causing it to panic and thrash about. From this we've concluded that rain must have kept ECF-1 away from open outside areas, mostly leaving it in enclosed areas or caverns.

Test 2: For this test, we've used an extremely rare element; Fire. We've altered atmospheric conditions within the vicinity in order to ignite fire. Once the element was administered within a safe area of it's cell, ECF-1 reacted fearfully. The fire itself emits a harmful radiation towards ECF-1, preventing it from even looking at the light. ECF-1 was recorded running away whilst shrieking, as if scared for it's life. Shortly after, researchers extinguished the fire by means of dousing it with water.

Test 3: Throwing rocks at ECF-1 did absolutely nothing... It just stood there, standing blatantly still. Why we decided to do this, I have no clue.

Test 4: Upon inspecting ECF-1's sedated body, we found deep blade-shaped scars along it's hindquarter regions between it's tail and legs. The scars were at least 664,973 Years old, indicating that it'd been in fights with intelligent Planetary inhabitants, presumably anthropoid in form. With sufficient data, we've concluded that whoever fought the creature was skilled beyond belief, transcending the prowess of countless warriors throughout over half a million Years. Our data doesn't conclude wether the assailant lived after the fight or not, but it's likely the attacker had retreated due to noticing the difference in power between him/her and the monster.

|

Facility/Research Incidents :

Under our facility's radars, ECF-1's Red Wasps (ECF-1A) gathered at the corner of an exposed wall without our supervision. The insects were effectively chewing their way through Grand-Branch material, a wood with more durability and density than reinforced steel. They used a red hot secretion from their mouths in order to burn away the wood. However, the anti-magic barriers we have established mid-way throughout the wood had disintegrated the insects immediately. This incident has provided us with valuable information; Both ECF-1 and it's bodily inhabitants are incarnations of dark magic.

|

Anonymous Personal Input ( Fake Names ):

Drayne: "This was a very difficult job... We're only on our first abomination, and it took us 17 Hours to sedate this thing. The bastard kept twitching while we did the surgical procedures. I nearly pissed myself when it's arm started twitching violently over the operating table... I really want a raise..."

|

Sillo: "I'd watched over the two individuals labeled as ECF-1D. The host's minds were struggling against ECF-1C's virus the entire time, even until the last one fell dead. ECF-1 truly is a disgusting creature."

|

Anne: "I've had my fill of these horrors. I'd love to quit this job, but that isn't exactly easy to do."

|

Ray: "After seeing what happened with subjects ECF-1D, I don't think I'll be getting any sleep Tonight. Those hosts that we'd locked in the facilities weren't just wandering husks without a mind. They desperately called out for help, but we couldn't do anything to alleviate their pain. I just hope to whatever God(s) exist, that this will never happen again with anyone else."

ECF-2 : Watt Lake: (Fake Lake Monster) [Multi-Singular Entity] Weighs 327 tons

Age is unknown, but is presumed to be around 700,000 Years old.

|

Description :

ECF-2 is a fake greenish body of water. It's real composition is made of an unidentifiable acid, sulphur, water, and an unidentifiable murky substance which's carried along with it's fluid form. Bones, plants, weapons, bodily remains, and Souls float within ECF-2's liquid body. Some objects seen within are quite valuable, but are really used as bait to lure victims inside. ECF-2 is capable of producing massive amounts of electricity all throughout it's body. We've measured a maximum of 781 volts thus far, but cannot be certain that this measurement is the maximum capacity. If anyone is drenched in ECF-2's liquid, even while not inside, they will still receive a deadly shock that's most-likely to kill them instantly.

|

ECF-2 is endlessly patient. It keeps itself very still, to the point of having no ripples, or any movements within it's reflection. ECF-2 can split into as many sections of itself as desired, even creating puddles and ponds on the walls and ceilings. It uses a special ability involving condensation, whereas if an established aquarium glass is thin enough for cold water to condense into droplets on the other side, a portion of ECF-2 begins to take form. We've quickly reinforced ECF-2's cell as a result. Analysis shows once it captures it's victims, their bodies are slowly dissolved, leaving only their bones and Souls. Bodies it leaves intact are used like puppets in order to mimic aquatic life, making them swim as though they're still alive.

|

Background :

Since ECF-2 hasn't done much besides sitting in the same areas for long periods of time, we've only concluded that ECF-2 has visited at least 17 different areas around the world. We know this according to physical plant-based evidence that we've analyzed. 17 different types of soil were also found floating inside EFC-2, which is what officially led us to our conclusion. While we don't have maximum proof, we believe that ECF-2 might've consumed entire village communities by pretending to be their water supply... Which is a terrifying thought.

|

Behavior/Nature :

ECF-2 is extremely intelligent, cunning, and an exceedingly patient Hunter.

|

Facility's Established Environment :

We've made an underground facility especially designed for EFC-2. The reinforced bullet-proof glass is fused with anti-magic and a large energy absorption crystal, which was generously donated by a wealthy associate of ours. There's a top floor where researchers can reach the surface of the creature. It slightly resembles that of a round indoor pool, except the wall, floor and ceiling is white, and all are made of polished water-repellent rubber. The floor is slanted downwards into the containment tank, ensuring that ECF-2 can't get out.

|

The bottom floor contains an all-around bullet-proof window, allowing our researchers to observe and see inside of ECF-2. Lighting equipment is limited to exactly 610 Lumens, and no more than that. Temperatures are set high in order to prevent ECF-2 from condensing to the other side of the glass. Similar to the top floor, the bottom floor's also made of water-repellent rubber.

|

Examples of Body Parts :

The dense black substance which resides deep at the bottom of ECF-2 still remains a mystery.. However, we're certain it serves a purpose to ECF-2's body. We believe it's possible this substance may be both a brain and a heart, providing ECF-2 with the electricity it produces, and using lower transmissions as brainwaves. It appears to be the core of ECF-2's entire being. Theoretically, it's Soul.

|

Recorded Tests/Experiments :

Test 1: We've used Hypersensitive EMF meters equipped with hypersensitive thermal radars (Donated by the Marvelir Management Committee). These combined technologies have detected roughly 695,000 Souls trapped within ECF-2. We haven't yet discovered any means of releasing these Souls, but we will prevail for their sake.

Test 2: For this test, we've decided to do the same thing we did with ECF-1, but with ECF-2 instead. Upon administering fire to the environment, ECF-2 had desperately tried to move away from it, despite being made of 76% water. ECF-2 separated, split, parted, and cornered itself whenever it was presented with fire. We can rest easy now, knowing that most of these monsters are probably severely vulnerable to fire and heat radiation.

Test 3: We've constructed thick electrical conduits and inserted them into ECF-2. The electricity produced by ECF-2 was channeled by the conduits, and used to create surplus batteries for our several backup generators. As this experiment went on, researchers measured the amount of Terawatts ECF-2 had released, the highest being 84,059 Terawatts.

|

Facility/Research Incidents :

Once ECF-2 had condensed through it's aquarium glass, the residual droplets had formed into a somewhat secondary entity. The liquid mass was found desperately trying to get back into the aquarium in order to fuse back into itself, despite receiving it's first opportunity to escape our facilities. Within hours of struggling to get back inside, the formation eventually died. Perhaps it may need ECF-2's black liquid to survive.

|

Anonymous Personal Input ( Fake Names ):

Garlo: "My first Day on the job, and I'm pretty much blown away. Since I'm in charge of categorizing anything we find inside of Watt Lake, I've been coming across some amazing stuff. They allowed me to keep some treasures, but only after they were done being analyzed for research. One is a rare organic coin from thousands of Years ago. It'll fetch a hefty price when I sell it to a local museum."

|

Grikmi: "The only thing I'm interested in is killing this creature. I don't see why we need to research this monster while it's still alive, especially when it killed off so many innocent civilians in the past. If we destroy it, all the Souls will be released. Are we really any better than this monster by keeping it here, and continuing to let these Souls be confined? If it were up to me, we would be burning this sick fuck! It deserves nothing from life!"

|

Girana: "If you know little-to-nothing about a creature, how do you destroy it? We know they're afraid of fire, but we don't know if it really hurts or damages them. My research associate Grikmi has his heart in the right place, but is still a foolish idiot. We will find a way to extract the Souls after we've attained enough knowledge to do so, without killing Watt Lake (ECF-2). But that isn't the only reason we keep ECF-2 alive.. Or any monster, for that matter. Hundreds of thousands of Years ago, our Planet created these monsters after inexplicably becoming deprived of sunlight. These monsters each worked with the given instinct to scavenge for Souls, then to bring them to the Planet's core as an everlasting energy source. We don't live in such times anymore, but we are determined to learn more about our Planet by studying the abominations it created in that Era."

|

Rine: "All I see is an infinite battery charger. Nothing more. We could power Cities with ECF-2, even countries. We wouldn't have to run space explorations based off of The Marvelir Management Committee's intergalactic funds either.. I mean, if you consider that a bonus."

ECF-3 : Hybriad: (Hybrid Elemental Snake-Wolf) [Conjoined Hybrid Entity] 26.25 ft long, 857 lbs.

Age: 787,910 Years old

|

Description :

So far, ECF-3 is our eldest entity. Surprisingly, he is male, which tells us that there's more than one of his species out there, considering each plant-based monster species without genders tend to be one-of-a-kind, and original entities, whilst lacking the abilities for procreation. We have yet to uncover any information about any other similar existing species' whereabouts. He is the first instance of any Monster we have ever had, who is capable of speech. ECF-3 has a pale blue snake-tail which measures to be exactly 52.67 feet, being barely twice the length of their body, and capable of lifting 8 times their own weight (6,856 lbs). The snake's eyes are red, and a small trail of pale grey stripes leads down it's body.

|

As for our Wolf, his fur is grey, and continuously radiates a cold and icy temperature which permeates whatever surface he comes into contact with. His eyes interchange colors randomly from black, white, grey, red, green, and brown. Each of these colors match and resemble different natural environments, indicating that ECF-3 has adapted while hunting in all parts of our world, and throughout all Seasons.

|

ECF-3 has a strange but beautiful bulb located at it's back. The bulb is roughly a third of ECF-3's own size, and has several different butterfly patterns/colors on each petal. When threatened, the bulb's "petals-wings" extend on all sides of ECF-3, ranging 14.25 feet in radius. A lethal icy dust is produced whenever the petals are extended. Touching and especially inhaling the dust can cause one to freeze to death in a matter of seconds. This component is also found in ECF-3's venom, for both the snake and the wolf. Each has their own venom sack equipped inside of their upper jaws. ECF-3's claws are unusual, considering they are retractable like a feline's, yet still retain a canid appearance.

|

ECF-3 can roar at about 297 decibels. The sound it makes consists of various frequencies simultaneously occurring in unison; High frequencies, low frequencies, and various other types with alternate combinations of sounds. When the roar is produced, a chilling wind cloaks the vicinity in a thick sheet of ice. ECF-3's DNA is not composed of just our regular monster genetics. To our astonishment, we've found that regular Planetary inhabitant's DNA have also been found in ECF-3's genes. ECF-3 is 50% Plant-based Wolf (natural inhabitant), 45% Plant-based Snake (natural inhabitant), 1.5% Feline (natural inhabitant), 3% Butterfly (natural inhabitant) and 0.5% Elemental Plant-based Monster (unnatural inhabitant). ECF-3's monster genetics, despite being minuscule, are heavily influential in making ECF-3 an extremely dangerous entity.. Even if he doesn't mean it.

|

Going back to the topic of ECF-3's snake tail, we've concluded that the tail is of the same mind as ECF-3. However, we've still decided to register the entity as ECF-3A. It devours half the prey ECF-3 consumes. While this is rather gruesome, it also preserves surplus energy for ECF-3, due to ECF-3A's comparably low metabolism.

|

Background :

To our surprise, ECF-3 has recently shown us that it's capable of speech. He overheard our conversation about uncovering his history, so he obliged to fill in the details for us. ECF-3 explained to us in a 3.5 hour conversation, that his Parents were much like him. They both shared the same type of hybrid DNA that he'd inherited from them. His Mother gave him most of his roselike traits, along with the snake DNA, while his Father was the one with the butterfly, Feline, and Wolf traits. Both of his Parents contained some Plant-based Monster DNA, which caused them to act highly aggressive throughout his childhood. In addition to his abusive childhood, Monsters with full amounts of Monster DNA sought after his entire family's genocide, considering they didn't like the idea of intermixing the blood of mortals with immortal monsters. The reason for this, is because their mere existence confused the Monsters to the point where even the smell of their hybrid blood was hard for the monsters to cope with. This caused them to rampage, according to ECF-3.

|

Behavior/Nature :

ECF-3, or perhaps Hybriad, as he prefers to be called, is a gentle yet violent creature. He behaves this way on a borderline level, meaning he's gentle, until you piss him off and cause him to black out, and lose control of himself. We are 100% certain that Hybriad's Monster DNA is the primary cause of this, considering the similar behaviors to Monsters which he clearly demonstrates while in his state of triggered rage. When asked to play fetch, or play in general, Hybriad wags his tail unknowingly, yet stubbornly declines the invitation. This shows he is untrusting of us, but is still docile at heart.

|

Facility's Established Environment :

Hybriad was given a facility filled with numerous species of flowers. Each flower is cryogenic in origin and nature, releasing freezing pollen all throughout his facility. Hybriad feeds off of this pollen by using the strange pod on it's back, but also requires to eat large and living prey. We've filled the containment facility with a fat and unintelligent species of bird from Planet Univarck, called the BrittleWing (We've had to kill a few, because of their massive reproduction rate).

|

There are rocks, caves, and a large forest within the facilities. Liquid nitrogen lakes seem to be ideal for Hybriad's health, so we've added those as well. Temperatures are kept at exactly -350 degrees fahrenheit at a 10 ft perimeter around each lake, ensuring the element's form stays liquid. Because Hybriad's the most agreeable "Monster" in our facility so far, we've given him many things he's asked for upon request, such as; A built-in nitrogen waterfall for one of the lakes, a fairly large tree from Planet Nitár, called a "Persistree", and an oversized hammock for the sake of Hybriad's beauty-sleep.

|

Examples of Body Parts :

By using harmless X-rays, we've found that Hybriad's butterfly-like flower pod has an unusual tiny black orb on the inside. It's located between the flower pod and his spine, which seems to be reinforced by sturdy cords leading to his brain. This transfers the cryogenic pollen from the pod, then to his brain and bloodstream somehow. We have very few ideas of how this works in precise detail.

|

Recorded Tests/Experiments :

[Note: Since Hybriad is more of a Planetary inhabitant than he is a Monster, we've only conducted tame and harmless experiments.]

Test 1: We've managed to light a match in front of Hybriad, with his permission of course. He says he usually doesn't like fire, but the sight of it doesn't bother him. He is very unlike the other Monsters with his reaction. He did nothing, save for slightly flinch once the match was lit.

Test 2: We offered a large dish of water to see what Hybriad might do with it. We found that Hybriad hates water in it's purely liquid state. It poses no threat to his well-being, so we've concluded that he just doesn't like it. He enters into an aggressive fit once the scent reaches his senses. Hybriad was thereby deemed very hydrophobic, likely due to traumatic experiences involving water, also exhibiting common signs of PTSD. After Hybriad's sudden rampage subsided, researchers politely asked him to explain his disdain towards water. He stubbornly informed that he doesn't wish to talk about the background of his fear.

Test 3: A large yellow ball was thrown across Hybriad's enclosure, causing him to react by quickly running towards the object, capturing it in his jaws. He is also able to catch the ball with his tail, showing that he is capable of seeing through the snake-tail's eyes. Each of the 10 throws resulted in a precise catch... We'll be honest, this was just an excuse to play with him, but the information we've gathered turned out quite educational.

Test 4: Using run-of-the-mill educational techniques, we've managed to teach Hybriad the basics of math and reading within just a Day. We've also preformed a few IQ tests, which in the end showed that Hybriad has an overall IQ of 175 (Far above average). At this point, we've fully decided that Hybriad is an individual instead of a Monster. Sadly, we still cannot let him go until his safety, and those around him are assured. Before that happens, he will especially have to get over his fear of water.

|

Research Incidents :

The protective thermal gear worn by the researchers didn't protect against Hybriad's permafrost. While testing with the water in Test 2, the ground underneath Hybriad had frozen under our researcher's boots, causing them to become stuck to the ground. This was all during Hybriad's unexpected rage-fit, which couldn't have been worse timing. It was a miracle our researchers survived with only 1st degree frostbite at the bottoms of their feet. Our hazard-protection suits will be given upgrades and modifications ASAP.

|

Anonymous Personal Input ( Fake Names ):

Bolivart: "Throwing the ball in test 3 was entertaining, to say the least. I felt like I had my very own pet. Hybriad is very kind, but we need to do something about his black-out tantrums. I'd like nothing better than for him to be free, if that's even what he wants.. I suppose it's better this way though. Around here, none of the pure-blooded Monsters can reach him. I'd rather him stay."

|

Taska: "Perhaps this is very unprofessional of me to say, but I love how Hybriad stares at me through the tinted barrier when no one's looking. He has a very... handsome smile. I don't think anyone else knows about his optical abilities. He knows which cameras I'm surveying with, and at which shifts I use them. If he's smart enough to even spot all the cameras, then the IQ tests might've been off. He's way smarter than we've assessed."

|

Amberdeen: "Hybriad is adorable, and incredibly beautiful! It's super easy to watch him, since he stands out so much. Just the other Day, while he swam in one of the nitrogen lakes, he gave me a funny stare. Despite the barrier being tinted, he looked right at me. At first I suspected he could see me, but then he looked away inattentively before it got weird, so now I'm not entirely certain. I wouldn't want to bother everyone over a little suspicion that might not even be true... Could just be nothing, right?"

|

Sevont: "Getting a DNA sample wasn't very difficult, seeing how hybriad leaves tiny fragments of his petals lying around everywhere. Don't worry though, we've found this to be natural, and in-fact healthy. Since we've been feeding him foods with ideal nutritional value for his body, he's began shedding a new coat. He'll look even better than he has before, if one can even imagine that."

|

Jacklace: "Being the Head of Epiphyte Containment Facilities, I can only say I'm grateful we found Hybriad. Finally, we have someone who can verbally confirm everything we need to know about our Planet's darkest histories! This is exciting for all of us, and I can't wait to ask our subject some bugging questions that've been itching my mind lately. I just desperately hope that it goes well. We'll have to take extreme caution with the questions we ask him. We cannot afford to lose his willingness to teach us more of what he knows."

ECF-4 : Morphtalus: (Tentacular Shape-Shifter) [Unitary Entity] 2.4 square ft - 137.6 square ft. Ranges 10.2lbs - 4,278.lbs.

Age: 679,177 Years old

|

Description :

ECF-4 is a mass of 178,012 malleable dark-green tentacles. Each one is coated with a clear adhesive substance which sticks to, and then traps those who touch it directly. The adhesive is extremely flammable, and is somehow capable of copying toxic or venomous substances which come into contact with it. Once the lethal substances are copied, ECF-4 remembers them, albeit involuntarily. ECF-4 has no eyes, and has no standard limbs aside from it's various tentacles. ECF-4 detects it's surroundings through vibrations and movements by using it's tentacular appendages as receptors. ECF-4's capabilities for vibrational detection reach exactly 7.5 decibels and over, while it's motional detection reaches precisely 3.5 Miles per Hour, and up.

|

When anything of sentience produces sound that exceeds the limit of 7.5 decibels, or moves past 3.5 Miles an Hour, ECF-4 immediately lunges in their direction at speeds of 38.4 Miles Per Hour. Once EFC-4 wraps around it's prey by using numerous hoards of intricately controlled vine-like tentacles, the trapped life-form is stabbed forcibly through it's flesh by the tips. The invading tentacles drink the prey's blood and bodily essence, then finishes by devouring it's Soul. The Souls are kept confined within it's body, used as an unlimited source of energy to continuously move and lunge without experiencing physical fatigue. Bones, organs, muscles, and tendons become liquified within roughly 4-5 seconds, and are then redistributed as nutrients inside of ECF-4's body. ECF-4's tentacles are capable of regenerating within under 4 seconds of being cut off or removed. It's tentacles are used as a method of mobility (37.4 MPH), but when attacking, each tentacular strike reaches approximately 119.35 MPH.

|

ECF-4 has the unique physical ability to plant carnivorous pink flowers. These flowers are extremely predatory, and are recognized as ECF-4A. Surrounding each instance of ECF-4A are a set of 8 long petals. ECF-4A's petals are thick, and each measure at roughly 2ft long. Each instance of ECF-4A is planted when ECF-4 shoots seeds out from the tips of it's tentacles. ECF-4A instances begin as sharp ovalish seeds, being 3.5 inches in length, and 2.2 inches in width. Their exteriors are harder than steel, but somehow manage to disperse when hitting soil or flesh. Once summoned to an inhabitable host or surface, the seeds takes no more than 500 milliseconds to bloom into carnivorous flowers. A small sonic boom sometimes follows along in the process. ECF-4A's petals begin to fold, twist, and contort into pink tentacles of it's own. Every instance of ECF-4A adheres completely to ECF-4's will without hesitation, via signals released by it's tentacles, which are then received likewise by ECF-4A. ECF-4A can retreat back into ECF-4 by physical contact, easily absorbing back into ECF-4's body.

|

Most importantly, ECF-4 has the ability to reshape itself into any appearance, but is incapable of shape-shifting between instances weighing below 10 lbs, or weighing above 4,278 lbs. Because of this, ECF-4 lacks the ability to mimic clothes, thereby rendering it's imitations of those who'd already been wearing clothes, nude. However, ECF-4 can add armor to it's false form as long as it weighs more than 10 lbs, and less than 4,278 lbs. ECF-4 can line it's tendrils with any body part it has ever sensed. For example, ECF-4 could shield itself with sturdy scales, stud it's tendrils with reptilian teeth, or perhaps cover it's exterior with glowing feathers, if it so desired. ECF-4's shape-shifting abilities aren't limited to just living organisms or sentient beings, but can also perfectly imitate objects between the same weights as mentioned before.

|

Background :

Judging by where ECF-4 was found, which was inside a colossal hollowed-out tree, it'd remained hidden from civilization by repeatedly inhabiting dark and moist environments, usually ones that were enclosed. From those spots in the darkness, ECF-4 waited patiently for creatures to explore those areas, rewarding it's own efforts by devouring them, and then trapping their Souls. ECF-4 had been presently mimicking an overhang of vines once Epiphyte Facility Investigators entered it's domain, which had indicated that this was the primary way ECF-4 remained undetected for so long. Bone fragments were left inside of the hollowed domain beneath ECF-4, indicating that it had found many unsuspecting travelers... Or perhaps the other way around.

|

Behavior/Nature :

ECF-4 remains in the false form of a seemingly mossy silver boulder. ECF-4 hasn't done much since Epiphyte Containment Facilities successfully captured and contained it, but that's because we heavily drugged ECF-4, administering a powerful sedative in large quantities. The sedative was invented specifically to permanently force ECF-4's naturally secreting adhesive to contain potent concentrations of the same said sedative, therefore rendering ECF-4 nearly incapacitated. It's rare to ever see ECF-4 move anymore, or change shapes.

|

Facility's Established Environment :

ECF-4's facility is an enclosed chamber made entirely out of condensed steel. From the bottom below the soil, all the way to the ceiling, there's no possible escape for ECF-4. Within this colossal steel box, there is an artificial cave with various species of trees planted inside and out. ECF-4 will rarely change into a different plant or object due to the administered sedative. We've provided only life-forms and objects that ECF-4 has already copied before, since we prefer NOT to provide ECF-4 with an additional vast variety of potential transformations. The outside of ECF-4's facility is bordered by a shallow lake, since we've found that ECF-4's body possesses a vulnerability against water. Sprinkler systems have been installed on the ceilings and inside the cave, just in case ECF-4 happens to break out of it's sedated state, presumably in a rage (As we'd assume).

|

Examples of Body Parts :

ECF-4 may appear to be composed of solely tentacular appendages, although that is not the case. After conducting thorough, but careful surgical procedures on ECF-4, we've discovered a small black organ located at the very center of ECF-4's tentacular mass. The organ is oval-shaped, resembling a large black egg. The organ shrinks and expands, as though it were breathing. ECF-4's tentacles branch off of one another in a way that's hidden beneath their own multitudes, yet each tendril's base is smaller in size as it leads up to the center, connecting directly to this black egg-shaped organ. All the Souls seem to be stored in this area.

|

Recorded Tests/Experiments :

Test 1: We've successfully cut off one of ECF-4's tentacles by using a mechanical diamond-saw. We put the tendril in a separate chamber where the air's components are tweaked to allow one to start a fire. Once fire was applied to the amputated 20 foot tendril, it spread immediately throughout it's entirety within 0.89 seconds. The tendril writhed and squirmed as it was being burned. Our conclusion from this test resulted in the gathered knowledge that ECF-4's tendrils contain an adhesive that's unintentionally hyper-flammable.

Test 2: A series of giant nails were hammered into many of ECF-4's tendrils, attempting to pin it to the ground. The tentacles did not stay put, instead morphing around the giant nails involuntarily. Through this test, it seems we've made the right choice keeping ECF-4 contained inside a giant steel box, void of any crevices.

Test 3: ECF-4's seeds were harnessed manually through surgical removal. Ever since the sedative was applied, ECF-4's seeds had been stuck midway inside it's tendrils. We've encased the seeds with a metallic substance called Gelderthine, and another called Tin, both which keep ECF-4's signals from commanding them to bloom/detonate. Now we have a safe sample of ECF-4A secured in storage.

Test 4: By sedating ECF-4 with our special sedative, we've created a means to "farm" even more sedative without the use of artificial mass production since ECF-4 is now able to excrete the sedative in endless amounts. However, we haven't found any way to separate the flammable components of the liquid from it's sedative compositions. Therefore, we now use this liquid as an official Anti-Epiphyte Spray (AES), which not only sedates an Epiphyte, but also renders it extremely susceptible to fire, even more-so than they are previously. It additionally makes them stick to the ground, immobilizing any involuntary movements or especially unwanted twitches/convulsions while under comatose dissection.

|

Research ** Incidents**:

While Facility Management was contributing to watering each plant in ECF-4's Facility, one of the workers realized there was a thorny tree in the corner of the room that'd not been there before. ECF-4 was thought to have been seen inside of it's cave, although it was a trick. ECF-4 had shed a portion of it's tendrils from itself while inside of the cave, making it seem as though it's tentacles were partially visible from the view of the cavern entrance. Thankfully workers were alerted before drawing any closer to the thorny tree. ECF-4 had miscalculated in it's attempts to attack Facility Management, thanks to its sedative being perpetually active. ECF-4 attempted to fall on, and crush/impale one of our workers, but had failed. Once ECF-4 hit the ground, the thorny tree had spread into thousands of tendrils splayed in every direction, revealing it's true form. It'd taken almost all of ECF-4's physical energy to execute this plan, so it remained still in the same area for 2 Days, 4 Hours, 37 Minutes, and 22 seconds.

|

Secondary Incident :

While maintaining a constant watch of video-recorded surveillance, our surveyor had spotted one of the researchers being hung from his/her neck by one of ECF-4's tendrils, this happening from inside ECF-4's cave. The researcher appeared to be struggling to breathe as he/she kicked and grabbed at the tentacle. Epiphyte Control Workers were almost sent into the facility in order to rescue the researcher, that is until the exact same person seen inside the cave was spotted by Epiphyte Control, sorting out paperwork in one of the study rooms. The researcher inside the study room was immediately sedated via tranquilizer dart, which would've been enough to adequately add to ECF-4's sedation (if the researcher were ECF-4), but would not have been enough to kill our researcher. Later, after finding out that our researcher which was seen in the study was NOT ECF-4, we concluded that ECF-4 was mimicking one of our researchers, making it seem as though he/she were being asphyxiated by strangulation. We should probably evaluate ECF-4's IQ.

|

Anonymous Personal Input ( Fake Names ):

Lavy: "I was just getting finished with the stacks of paperwork, until all of my working buddies crashed in, pointing oversized flamethrowers at me. It scared the Hell out of me so bad, I nearly pissed myself. Next thing I knew, I felt a sharp blow to the side of my neck, and I woke up completely paralyzed for 7 hours. My friends felt bad, because I'm always the one doing the paperwork, and they shot at me. So they at least offered to do whatever paperwork I missed while I was out."

|

Worthwin: "I envy Morphtalus... Who wouldn't want the ability to transform into virtually anything? If I had that kind of power, I'd be swimming with |potential partners| right now. Stupid tendril mass.."

|

Kura: "Have you ever looked at something horrendous, and felt that sinking feeling all the way up your whole body..? Well that's what I felt when I saw my best friend allegedly hanging from inside of that cave. After that, nothing else can scare me anymore. If anything, I'm just glad my friend's safe."

|

Lemmy: "I should've known that tree was a fake. It stuck out like a sore thumb, yet I still fell for such a cheap trick. If personnel hadn't warned us, I would've taken the extra steps to my untimely death. What a terrifying thought.."

|

Arlim: "Our creepy monster is quite the trickster. It seems the sedative wasn't able to cease ALL of ECF-4's functions, which resulted in the displacement of quick mobility, in exchange for clever hunting strategy. Morphtalus clearly has a sapient thought process, if not incredibly keen instincts".

|

Beyah: "I don't know if I can take this anymore. It's been 3 Years here, stress is building up, and I can't stand it anymore! Sometimes I feel like just jumping into Watt Lake and ending it all. But that would put everyone in danger, so I often brush off any of these thoughts."

ECF-5 : Aphrite: (Pearlescent Floral Siren) [Singular Entity] 6ft and 1 inch tall

170.4 lbs

Age: 696,387 Years old.

|

Description :

ECF-5 is an aquatic anthropoid creature with pearlescent skin, and light-blue aquatic flowers covering it's whole body. ECF-5's legs, arms, neck, tail, and back have retractable pearly-blue fins that aid significantly with swimming. ECF-5's corneas glow with a pale blue light that hypnotically coaxes any life-form with functional eyes. Anything with the means to smell may catch scent of the overwhelmingly enticing aroma emanating from the ECF-5's aquatic flowers. Wether it be underwater, or on land, the scent is potent enough to reach those with the ability to smell. ECF-5's voice is also capable of hypnotically luring in any creature capable of hearing it. ECF-5 uses it's alluring voice in the form of a melodious echoing hum, especially in ambient environments. ECF-5's tactics of luring in prey are often stealthy, giving it an edge while hunting for flesh and Souls. When facing ECF-5 directly, it often flashes a large and unsettling smile filled with sharp pearlescent white teeth, despite looking quite aesthetically pleasing at first. Once ECF-5 puts it's target into a trance, they will walk towards ECF-5 against their own will.

|

Once ECF-5 is close enough to it's prey, or vice-versa, ECF-5 will embrace them with it's arms, while secretly readying it's razor sharp teeth. ECF-5's skin is amazingly comfortable, also secreting an aphrodisiac that sends it's victims into an aroused and dopey state. Next, ECF-5 breaks their neck or spine with excessive force, immediately killing them. After that, ECF-5 chomps down on the dead victim's flesh, ripping them apart with it's sharp teeth. After consuming enough flesh, blood, and organs, ECF-5 devours the victim's Soul, keeping it trapped to provide ECF-5 with everlasting energy. ECF-5 radiates different temperatures based on who it's stalking, mostly in order to properly adjust it's arousing effects to lure its prey in the best way possible. Those who detect ECF-5's presence in any way are tricked mentally into feeling a sense of false comfort. ECF-5 will change genders in accordance to it's victim's sexual orientation, drastically increasing it's chances to coax them.

|

ECF-5 is most unique to Epiphyte Containment Facilities in one way; It's body is slightly resistant to fire. We're 80% certain this may have to do with ECF-5's pearlescent white skin, which secretes an unidentifiable coating. ECF-5 also has the ability to walk on water, but does this in a constantly lopsided fashion. ECF-5 is more steady when running on water, the action of which reaches speeds of 45 mph. When on land, ECF-5 can reach speeds of 26 mph, but prefers following prey and stealthily hiding. ECF-5's hands and feet have retractable claws which draw back whenever reverting to it's hypnotic form. ECF-5 has a large tail which is capable of extending to 10 ft and 3 inches due to voluntary spinal collapsibility, but originally stays at a default of 4 feet long. ECF-5's tail is it's strongest appendage, capable of lifting roughly 1,260 lbs. ECF-5's tail helps when fairing against stronger victims, or rivaling creatures.

Update: Through psychological examination of certain personnel, we've discovered that ECF-5 is also capable of inciting violent behavior, and not just the standard aphrodisiac effects.

|

Background :

Underneath an icy lake, and within another lake therein, ECF-5 was found chewing on the leftover bones of 8 different Plantetians (Planetary inhabitants of Plantet). ECF-5's removal from this environment required heavily protective suits and advanced gear specifically designed for resisting miasmas, gaseous aphrodisiacs, pheromones, hypnotic concentrations of light, and fluctuating temperatures. From what was examined inside of the cave, it was surmised that ECF-5 had taken individuals from many different regions over the Years. Such as sailors, campers, citizens, and especially those who venture nearby the boundaries of ECF-5's frosted lake. During extraction, ECF-5 had attempted to lure in the members of our team. However, the suits prevented all of ECF-5's efforts. After seeming a bit confused, ECF-5 grew hostile, taking very unkindly to the suits. Heavy tranquilizer darts were fired immediately before it began to charge towards one of our workers. The tranquilizers were successful, and so ECF-5 was brought into the facilities.

|

Behavior/Nature :

ECF-5 constantly presses itself up against the tinted facility glass, always moving about in seductive ways in order to entice workers. Even though concentrated amounts of anti-pheromones are sprayed into ECF-5's tank every 3 minutes, it still mindlessly insists on trying to lure in prey anyways. ECF-5 will occasionally grow impatient after a long while of its attempts to draw in victims. Once ECF-5 runs out of patience and snaps, it will convulse rapidly, thrashing about within its facility, whilst producing high-pitched shrieks in a wild tantrum. This whole process repeats itself very frequently, although ECF-5 does appear to enjoy climbing the artificial tree-cave walls, and occasionally likes burrowing underneath the various mounds of wood-chips (Since ECF-3, we've had a few budget cuts).

|

Facility's Established Environment :

Due to temporary budget cuts, half of ECF-5's facility has been built artificially, as opposed to uprooting and establishing various types of underwater plants and soil. Luckily ECF-5 cannot tell the difference. A small semi-simulacrum Forest was built and planted next to a large body of water. Under that body of water is a cave, but with another lake inside. Half of both lakes are artificial, and at the shore are soggy wood chips and gathered plant debris. Miniature cameras with night vision features and enhanced sensors are placed in parts of ECF-5's facility where it cannot reach or access them. The thick 0.5 ft glass is tinted one way, so that ECF-5 can be observed, although ECF-5 still senses our presence regardless, whenever workers draw too close. Real stalagmites and stalactites decorate the inside of the underwater cave so that ECF-5 is more accustomed to its new environment. We've added a liquid element into the water called Quintertonin, which nullifies ECF-5's aroma. As a precaution against ECF-5's immensely powerful tail, we've hired professional enchanters to imbue the facility's glass with a reinforcement spell. Until it cracks all the way through the other side, the glass is now 10x more durable.

|

Examples of Body Parts :

Yet another black orb, as usual. Located right next to the heart, it's located within the very center of ECF-5's chest. It's the primary source of each of ECF-5's alluring qualities. A mysterious energy radiates from the black sphere as it produces pheromones, along with ions in order to produce its rapturing light. These ions and pheromones are distributed through the black veins branching parallel to ECF-5's circulatory system. ECF-5 has a face capable of converting between hundreds of different bone structures, which may also alter the shape and position of its teeth.

|

Recorded Tests/Experiments :

Test 1: [Anti-Aphrodisiacs Disabled] We've used some leftover Brittlewings (A fat, flightless, and unintelligent aviary species) as a means to conduct this experiment. Releasing the first Brittlewing into ECF-5's enclosure, it lasted exactly 42.7 seconds. First, ECF-5 began staring at the bird intently, quietly sneaking up to him on all fours. After realizing that this bird was quite idiotic, ECF-5 entered out of its stealth-position. After observing, ECF-5 blatantly walked up to him on 2 feet, then leaned in, blowing a pheromonal substance into his face. In 3 seconds, the bird exhibited signs of wooziness, and was only capable of staring at ECF-5. Clearly entranced by the effects, the Brittlewing's pupils grew wide as it drew closer to ECF-5. Once the Brittlewing drew close enough, ECF-5 embraced the bird, as if sensually. This made the test observers quite uncomfortable. ECF-5's neurological readings exhibited signs of extreme arousal the moment it twisted the Brittlewing's neck, all throughout the process of sucking in its Soul. Afterwards, ECF-5 ripped apart its flesh, devouring what was left.

Test 2: For this test we've decided to place another Brittlewing in a small but durable terrarium enclosure, being in the middle of ECF-5's facility. ECF-5 was of course unable to reach the bird with pheromones, so it instinctively used its bioluminescence, which had the exact same effects. Both the bird and ECF-5 impulsively tried to draw near one another, but were separated by the glass.

Test 3: This test involved turning down the temperature within ECF-5's facility to exactly -3 degrees Fahrenheit. Once the temperature was set, ECF-5 was somehow able to readjust it back to the previous 15 degrees Fahrenheit. By attempting to turn the temperature up to 33 degrees Fahrenheit, it was again reverted back to 15. We still can't seem to scientifically comprehend how ECF-5 does this. It remains a mystery.

Test 4: After altering atmospheric conditions within the area, we've managed to ignite a flame in front of ECF-5, whom immediately drew away from it like every other ECF (except ECF-3). However, after administering fire to a sample of ECF-5's DNA, it showed that ECF-5 is slightly more resistant to fire, particularly more-so than any other full-blooded ECF. This may have something to do with ECF-5's ability to manipulate temperature.

Test 5: For this test we've decided to record the extent of ECF-5's ability to quickly adapt to sexual orientations. Keeping ECF-5 behind the glass, which for this test, has had its one-way tint temporarily switched off, we've put 7 different varieties of individuals in front of ECF-5. Each one consists of a different combination of genders and/or sexual orientations: A bisexual hermaphrodite, a male homosexual, a heterosexual male, a lesbian, a heterosexual female, an asexual male, and an asexual female. As a result of visual interaction with these subjects, ECF-5's gender physically shifted accordingly to each individual's preferred sexual orientation. However, as for both asexuals, each one seemed to nullify ECF-5's ability to shift between genders. As a result, ECF-5 involuntarily shifted into a genderless or ambiguously gendered form. At this point of transformation, ECF-5 could no longer produce arousing nor hypnotic traits or abilities.

|

Research Incidents :

ECF-5 took advantage of a small opening in our efforts to secure its abilities. The moment our best researcher walked through both airtight doors, wearing decontamination equipment, there was a sound-breach that affected a significant portion of facility workers, due to a technical delay occurring with our airlock and its automated doors. The sound had no effect on our best researcher, who is a full-fledged asexual. This elite researcher used a type of device of their own invention (somehow smuggling it past our detectors), one that produced intense counteractive frequencies. The frequency not only canceled out ECF-5's hypnotic voice, but also immediately reverted all facility personnel back to their original mental states, snapping them out of hypnosis. We will definitely be keeping this researcher on speed-dial. After this incident, we later discovered that our favorite creature (ECF-3) had also been affected by each frequency, both the first one, and the counteractive frequency. This happened because ECF-3's hearing is not only incredibly keen, but he's also not a full-blooded monster. Due to this, we have filtered Hybriad's domain by installing special noise-canceling devices. Ever since this, he has gotten much better sleep.

|

Anonymous Personal Input ( Fake Names ):

Jedford: "This is by-far, the most frightening entity we have here, in my opinion. ECF-5 can easily breach containment, even if a single one of us happens to pick up on it with any of our 5 senses... Minus sight and scent, since Aphrite's hypnotic bioluminescence and pheromones have been negated.

|

Dusko: "I was just in the Study, sorting out paperwork, until I heard that gorgeous, amazingly beautiful, angelic voice. Certainly not unlike the melodious hum of an Angel. I was mesmerized, but also scared for my life when I realized my legs had begun moving by themselves. Luckily our mysterious elite took care of the situation. Where did we even get this researcher?" |

Mythra: "It makes me sick, seeing what happened in test 1. Sure, BrittleWings aren't the most emotionally intelligent aviary species, but to think this is what Aphrite does to everyday denizens of our world... It makes me want to vomit." |

Bob: "I came here because I wanted to study ECF-5's spine and tail. No creature in this Universe should be able to lift that much weight with something composed of so little mass. It's literally impossible. I am severely disappointed by regulations, since I'm not allowed to dissect this perplexing creature. I would've been very careful as to not damage Aphrite in any way, so I fail to see the reason behind rejecting my request. Regardless, I will work up to the privilege, if that's what it takes." |

Gillias: "Curse that sick monster! I've been having issues ever since hearing its voice. I wouldn't be opposed to executing the little bitch. |It's| so mesmerizing every time I look at |it|." |ECF-5| would be better off dead, before it lures any of us in. I genuinely feel unsafe here. For now I'll most likely be consulting our counselor for the rest of my life. There's no amount of therapy that can alleviate my urge to tear apart ECF-5, limb from limb. Update: After my current behaviors were examined by researchers, they've concluded that lust isn't the only thing Aphrite can manipulate. It appears anger is also an essential part of its mental influence on others. At least I can inform the CEO of this critical detail." |

Jan: "I can't stop looking at ECF-5, even with its illuminant effects filtered. Perhaps we shouldn't have it behind a glass, like this is some zoo for amusement. We need it confined somewhere solid, where nobody can directly observe it, other than with surveillance equipment. Just saying."

ECF-6 : Coma-Flower: (Floral Dreamscape Leech) [Sentient Flower] 458 ft in diameter. 20 ft tall. Weighs 3,964 lbs.

|

Description :

This is the one Epiphyte entity we have contained that doesn't devour Souls or flesh. Instead of relying on the infinite power of everlasting Souls, ECF-6 prefers the larger surplus of infinite energy coming from a specific place, rather than any individual. This place is none other than the Dreamscape, where ECF-6 extracts its energy by using the minds of its slumbering victims as a living portal/conduit. Mind you, just because ECF-6's diet doesn't gear towards eating Souls or flesh, that doesn't make it any less of an affront to all life. ECF-6 has four massive glowing white petals, each with an exceedingly soft fuzz on the inside of the flower. Below that, in between each of those petals, is another set of petals, but each lacking in the same fuzzy material. ECF-6 has a large protrusion in the center known as the stigma (25 ft tall), which's what it uses in order to release its illuminant blue pollen. Both the pollen and stigma are labeled as ECF-6A, being what ECF-6 uses to put unsuspecting victims to sleep. Once they're in a deep sleep, their minds and bodies become connected to ECF-6, via ECF-6A's influence (The pollen). The glowing blue pollen (ECF-6A) seeps into every pore, orifice, and follicle of its prey on a molecular level, thereby completely merging with their DNA. At this point the victim becomes forcibly trapped inside the Dreamscape, but isn't in control of anything they're doing. ECF-6 controls their spiritual projections that are within the Dreamscape by using the body's brain, thereby making them do whatever ECF-6 wants.

|

There are 35 victims that are currently effected by ECF-6A, which our facilities have kept safe. Any victims before these ones are irrefutably dead, only if they haven't been Dragons, Reapers, Angels, Arch Demons, or any other possibility of immortal creatures. Unfortunately, there has been a recent discovery of a Dreamscape Dragon who is currently controlled by ECF-6's influence. We have no means of figuring out where this Dragon might be, but all we know is that it lives outside our own Planet. Somehow ECF-6A had traveled across the stars, perhaps maybe using a meteorite, spaceship, interstellar life-form, portal, etc. We honestly have no clue how ECF-6A's influence traveled across the Marvelir System. ECF-6A's influence could've been conjured through another World's Planetary magic, perhaps by someone unprofessionally dabbling in the arts of Dreamscape Magic. It's possible that even the Dragon itself could've done this, though we cannot be completely sure. Within ECF-6A (The stigma), we discovered that there's a large black leech-like creature connected to the inside. We call this parasitic biohazard ECF-6B, which is a monster capable of spewing a glowing blue liquid. The glowing blue liquid has the same effect as ECF-6A, except 11x more virulent, and is capable of forcing its victims to sleep from solely the smell of the odor.

|

ECF-6B appears when there's a massive amount of life-forms in which to put to sleep. It makes its entrance by temporarily peeling away the exterior of ECF-6A (The Stigma) into fourths, then emerges while still attached within the middle. From there, ECF-6B can lunge as fast as 1/57th of a second, but only uses this speed for defending itself against certain death. ECF-6B has no eyes, but has curved sharp black teeth, and can sense incoming life within a 52ft distance. ECF-6B's black fangs are laced with the same coma-inducing poison as ECF-6A's pollen. ECF-6B can release an additional chemical inside of its own venom/pollen, one which negates the body from keeping still while sleeping. After administering this chemical, ECF-6 has been able to control sleeping victims through the Dreamscape as they're sleepwalking, thereby using them as pawns in real life. The chemical operates vaguely similar to insulin, and is newly discovered. We've decided to name the chemical "Tosine".

|

Background :

ECF-6 had made the mistake of using its pollen to infect one of our personnel's relatives, which not only drew ECF Foundation's attention, but also incited the wrath of a determined worker, who is doing everything in their power to find a cure for ECF-6A's influence. Our grieved worker had a poor sense of judgment in this ordeal, having employed ECF-3's assistance without notifying Facility Management. ECF-3 (Hybriad) was used by the rogue worker without any of our knowledge, to track down the owner of the coma-inducing chemical, mainly by receiving assistance from Hybriad's sense of smell. We believe our coworker received help from our facility's best researcher in breaking Hybriad out, but we unfortunately have no proof to uphold our accusations, since the footage was cut out of the video recording. Though strictly against regulation, Hybriad was set free by our worker, but had successfully used him to track down ECF-6 without being effected by ECF-6A's influence. Our armed forces followed ECF-3 and the rogue worker to a vast underground complex of tunnels. The subterranean system had been dug up long ago by a separate existing Epiphyte entity, one we've never seen. ECF-6 had made the environment into its home, since the tunnels lead to various different areas that are miles apart, each inhabited by sapient civilization. This way ECF-6 was able to use these tunnels to channel its pollen (ECF-6A) into the heart of various Villages, Towns, and Cities, all while remaining hidden.

After forces caught up with our runaways, the rogue and ECF-3 were each found digging in the middle of a small clearing in the center of a grove. Before Tactical Forces approached the situation, the Head CEO of the Foundation intervened, telling them not to engage. Just minutes later, Hybriad struck a hollow space underground as our rogue was riding on his neck. Hybriad had stumbled a bit, almost falling into the underground tunnels. However, our rogue worker wasn't so lucky, having broken his right femur and right shoulder after falling in. Hybriad rescued our rogue worker, while also discovering the location of ECF-6 within the subterranean area. After thanking ECF-3, ECF Units went inside to sedate and extract ECF-6 from its habitat. ECF-3 willingly retreated back into its facility without causing any casualties. As a result of ECF-3's productivity, we've marked his good behavior on our records. His help will not go unrewarded. Our rogue worker however, was put on probation.

Behavior/Nature :

ECF-6 tends to stay still most of the time. However, whenever a coworker or personnel dozes off into sleep, being within a 124 ft distance, ECF-6 convulses rapidly, releasing its pollen aggressively in attempts to reach the sleeping individual. The Facility prevents any pollen from leaking out in any way.

|

Facility's Established Environment :

ECF-6 is indifferent to environmental appearances, so as long as its facility is dark and humid. ECF-6's facility is pitch-black, and installed with humidifiers in all four upper corners of the room. ECF-6's facility is made of a reinforced metal that lacks the ability to corrode or rust; An alloy composed of stainless-steel, platinum, titanium, and berylite (A unique metal, only local to Planet Alniria, which is incapable of rust, corrosion, or water damage). If ECF-6 ever acts too out of place, we have a solar-powered device installed at the center-top of the facility, one which fires a concentrated beam of light of exactly 1,460 degrees Fahrenheit. There are 4 rooms to enter before finally arriving in ECF-6's facility. Each room is cleaned routinely, preventing any accumulation of ECF-6A (The pollen). The rooms work as a spray facility; The 1st applying ordinary cleansing solutions, the 2nd applying an immunity spray, the 3rd coating anyone who enters in a substance that's harmful exclusively to ECF-6, and the 4th spray applying personnel with a temporary insomnia-inducing chemical. All personnel wear full-body protection suits while undergoing this process. This way, any breach in the protection suits will render ECF-6A or ECF-6B's influence ineffective.

Examples of Body Parts :

A four-pointed dark green organ, roughly star-shaped. A considerably soft organ that consists of several functions; Connecting the upper and lower set of petals, while also pumping a sort of plasma into the naturally occurring nectar/pollen, thereby granting its sleep-inducing effects. The organ also produces cells similar to antibodies that fight off detrimental chemicals, substances, or bacteria. We've also discovered a strange flesh-like cord resembling a tendon in each of the ECF-6's petals. The "tendons" operate in an unusual way, moving on there own in order to create movement in each petal. The tendons are connected to what appears to be a small black brain, shaped like a flat thin oval. The same brain exists inside of ECF-6B. Technically-speaking, ECF-6 has 5 brains.

Recorded Tests/Experiments :

Test 1: We've placed a fat, flightless, unintelligent bird (A BrittleWing) inside of ECF-6's facility. We had it put under deep sleep before exposing it to ECF-6. The BrittleWing had a wireless device meant for monitoring neurological and bodily readings while venturing into the Dreamscape. Personnel had to literally drop-kick the BrittleWing into ECF-6's enclosure in order to quickly avoid the pollen it had released in that exact same moment. Luckily the dumb bird remained asleep. Shortly after the bird had been infused with ECF-6A, readings on our monitors showed signs of pure distress, however those sensations ended after 24 seconds. We assumed this was the process of the BrittleWing entering through the conduit between our Universe and the Dreamscape. Readings remained unremarkable after 3 hours and forty-two minutes, although noteworthy signs of immense confusion remained consistent after the long wait, most likely since the BrittleWing had wandered off aimlessly into a strange environment within the Dreamscape.

Test 2: Decreasing the humidity until the air inside ECF-6's facility became unbearably dry, resulted in ECF-6B sprouting out from inside its stigma. Since ECF-6B doesn't have eyes, it appeared it was trying to increase its efforts to detect moisture by feeling the surrounding air with its body.

Test 3: Following up after Test 2, we've decided to place spots of moisture inside random locations of the facility. ECF-6 (Also A and B) were not detrimentally affected by prolonged exposure to the dryness of the air. However, ECF-6 and all its counterparts still prefer humid conditions regardless, as if by preference. We know this from biological readings, and the fact that ECF-6B tried to stretch out in slithering motions, attempting to reach each spot of moisture produced by the humidifiers.

Test 4: We've injected an antigenic substance into a living sample of ECF-6's tissue, which caused an unknown mold to form over its exterior. The fungal formation was an illuminant blue-green color, and caused anyone within close proximity to experience what they called a 'nice buzzing tingly sensation', especially when looking directly at the mold. Strange effects have happened just from visual exposure, resulting in significant memory lapses, temporary loss in leg coordination, a significant increase in antibodies, and extreme feelings of euphoria. We may have accidentally created a new drug... Oops... Destroying most of it, we've kept a molecular sample for scientific research, making sure there wasn't enough to induce addictive effects in any creature.

Test 5: Administering fire is a process, considering our Planetary atmospheric conditions, and the difficulty it puts on our fire-related experiments. So we've decided on using a heated molten substitute instead, made out of heated aluminum. Administering a single drop of the molten aluminum onto ECF-6's petal caused a major reaction, as if in pain. ECF-6B was coaxed out as a result, producing a loud shriek. This is very important information, considering the problems we've had in the past with trying to coax ECF-6B out of its stigma-shell.

Research ** Incidents**:

As we feared, our efforts to keep ECF-6A from contaminating the area had failed. Our last decontamination room next to the very end of ECF-6's enclosure has been infested with the illuminant blue pollen's residue. Tiny amounts began to gather inconspicuously, mostly in the room's corners. Certain employees hadn't cleaned the room as thoroughly as they should've, resulting in the infection of the same said employees. They've been put into quarantine, and are currently assigned as humane test subjects. We've hired cleaners of a more professional nature as a result of this misdemeanor. They will also be given better suited cleaning tools, with chemicals of greater potency.

Secondary Incident :

This wasn't expected in the least. As we came to the conclusion of killing ECF-6 in order to release the victims it had influenced, our entire facility had blacked out, yet all technology keeping our entities contained, was operative. The machine we built that would serve to exterminate ECF-6 was destroyed, having been sliced perfectly down the middle. Once power was back online, our tactical teams did a careful perimeter check, before finding a note next to the cleanly destroyed machine. The note was written in fancy calligraphic handwriting, saying: "Dear ECF Foundation... I am Felreap, DemiGoddess of Death. You have incorrectly assumed that our pretty flower here will simply release its coma victims, via death. That was unwise. Please refrain from burning your freaky Dreamscape plant, as it would effect many deals I've made with the victims of this tragic case. Leave it to me... When the time comes, I will be the one to wilt that flower."

~With Love, Felreap

To see if this was a trick, we replayed footage from our night-vision/sensor cameras. Despite the quality being shown in Night vision, the resolution was still rather high. Seen in the recordings, our machine had been sitting alone next to ECF-6's containment facility. When the blackout came, a massive skull-clad scythe had quickly phased out from the ground, slicing clean-through our extermination machine. The cut looked as though the blade were easing through soft butter, despite our machine being created out of 17 different durable metal alloys. After witnessing roughly tens of millions of our Planetary currency being reaped away into oblivion, a giant, winged feline entity, garmented in a black robe phased out of the ground. Telling by appearance, she was female, measuring 34 ft in height. The intruder gestured a wave to one of the cameras. She snapped her fingers, conjuring the note we found. Shortly after, she seemed to teleport out of the vicinity, the lights coming back on in that exact same time. Later on, a meeting took place, gathering all ECF Foundation employees. In order to avoid altercations with an entity who could easily destroy us, we've all decided against ECF-6's termination.

Anonymous ** Input** (Fake Names):

Sozof: "Try to imagine this; What if ECF-6B could be tamed, or at least trained? If we can to get ECF-6B to extract information from the Dreamscape somehow, then the ECF Foundation could find limitless varieties of intel about our world, perhaps even finding the entity that caused our Planet to darken long ago. Hell, we could come to know secrets of the Universe!"

|

Kambria: "I've been working on a means to dilute ECF-6A's pollen, but nothing seems to work. All creatures are inevitably taken to the Dreamscape, and used as energy conduits as long as bodily exposure takes place. This stuff is really potent, down to a molecular level. We could find ways to cure extreme insomnia if we ended up properly balancing out ECF-6A's effects, rendering them only temporary, as opposed to permanent. In the mean time, I've got my fingers crossed... X" |

Moloknos: "Me and my team have been having debates in regards to wether we should kill this creature or not. Some of us only feigned agreement at the meeting. It's a tough decision on many levels, considering we have no clue how this would effect the recipients of ECF-6's comatose victims, despite our intruder's claims of this being a bad idea. On what grounds should we believe this person? They could either become awakened by the destruction of ECF-6, or they'd be stuck in the Dreamscape, due to an unsafe disconnection, and their bodies may die. Both contingencies should be viewed as equal possibilities." |

Leomara: "Is nobody going to freak out about how we might've pissed off a DemiGoddess... Of Death?? I know I shouldn't panic, but we can't just pretend like this isn't a bad thing! I can only hope we remain safe. I keep feeling like she's watching me, especially when I draw too close to ECF-6's enclosure... If you ever know what it's like when your hair stands on end, it's mostly that sensation. |

Dev: "I've been working here for a Month, so I'm relatively new. Having majored in history a while back, I know many things about the Half-Gods who run our System; A third of stories told about them are about fierce hunts, whereas the invincible DemiGods would pursue someone who's a threat against the Universe. Felreap has always been the violent one, and it scares me to think what she might do if anybody acts out of place here. Anyways, about ECF-6, I believe it's safer to keep it alive, whether or not a Godlike being has pointed a loaded gun to our heads. The victims are safe in the Dreamscape, and since Felreap has made a deal with them, they're likely to work for her as Reapers until they've earned their lives back."
