Chapter 8:
The True Power of Zen and Sen
Inuko slowly awoken during the night as he sat up from his bed and walked out of the room quietly. He walked down the long hallways as he stood before the doorway to Anubis' Chambers. Inuko lighted up his hands as he pushed opened the large doors. The purified flame still danced strong as the ground moved like waves. Inuko slowly entered the room as memories continued to haunt him.
"What am I doing? I have gone this far, and I still blame myself what happened that day." he said as he stared into the flame.
Inuko's eye's widen as the flames triggered him to enter a trance.
Raven stood high on the cliff as he stared into the village below as it stood in ash and dirt. Inuko walked beside him and placed his hand on his shoulder.
"Why do creatures attack and kill one another?" Raven asked.
His grip tightened as Inuko looked at him.
"It's the way of the world." he replied.
Raven turned backed to Inuko as pain filled his eyes,
"Then why was I always dragged into this? Always used as a tool to destroy..." he asked.
Inuko released him,
"You aren't a tool, you swore your loyalty to me. As long as you walk by my side, I shall be there for you." he replied.
Raven slapped Inuko's hand from him as he walked to the edge of the cliff.
"S-So if I disobeyed you? Yo-You will disown me?" he shouted.
Inuko stepped back as he tried to explain himself.
"R-Raven. I-I did not mean it in that way." he said.
Raven's mind grew into conflict as his human emotions grew out of control; he began to panic as he hold his ears trying to drain out the voices in his head.
"St-Stay away from me!" he cried out. "I-I don't want this anymore! I want to be emotionless again!" he screamed.
Raven fell backwards from the cliff as wings burst from his back; a black one and a white one. Inuko reached out trying to stop Raven just as the gift Raven gave him ceased. A black wolf with a white cresent moon under his eyes sat alone on the cliff as he howled for his friend.
Inuko quickly closed his eyes as he backed away from the great flame.
"I did not mean for you to become conflicted Raven..." he said softly.
"It's not your fault pupie." Sen said as she appeared behind Inuko.
Inuko quickly turned and saw her floating to the ground.
"H-How did you know what I saw?!" he said.
She began to giggle as a teddy bear appeared in her arms,
"Zennie chan and me are Forsakened Ones remember, pupie?" she said.
Inuko slowly walked closer to her, sitting down in front of her.
"Can I ask you something?" he asked.
Sennie looked up as her eyes met his,
"Pupie wants to know why we call Raven Sis?" she replied.
"Yes..." he said.
Sennie patted Inuko on his head,
"Raven that you know, isn't really the real thing. The Raven we know was born as a girl. All the Forsakened Ones were born as girls, just as all the Lost Ones were born as boys. Wolfie and Pupie are both Lost Ones." she said giggling.
Inuko scratched his head as questions filled his mind.
"Maybe Teddy can tell the story." she said as she lifted the stuff bear into the air.
The bear flew into the air as it landed on the ground standing up, its mouth began to move as the area around them transformed.
"Long ago, when the seven daughters of Terra were born. Life prospered and flourished, as the children grew older so did their powers. Five of the children asked their mother if they can wonder the world. Terra feared that Set would try to taint her daughters once more as an idea popped in her head. She called out to the seven of the strongest wolf clans to come to the Tower of Ancients. As the seven clans gathered, they brought the youngest pups with them. Terra talked with the wolf clans as they brought the young pups before her. She blessed each one as their fur transformed into the seven colors of the world. The seven wolf clans swore to protect the children as they bowed before her and her children. With this those seven male pups were known as the Guardians of Terra. Nowadays, the wolf clans slowly vanished as the Guardian races came to be known as the Lost Ones. The children lifted up the young pups as they slowly kissed them on the muzzle. Six of the seven pups transformed; they grew older and wiser. Five of them transformed into a half wolf, half human creature as they stood tall besides heir Watcher. Sen and Zen looked at their wolf Guardian as they loved him as the way he was. Slowly the children left their mother as Terra stood by the Tower with the baby as the pup slept on the baby's stomach; her oldest daughter stood by her side as she grabbed hold her Guardian's arm tightly." he voice said as the toy bear fell to the floor.
Inuko's eyes widen as he quickly looked at Sennie.
"Am..am I Raven's Guardian?!" he questioned.
Sennie slowly began to walk away as the bear reappeared into her hand.
"Baby sis, she was too young to kiss her pupie. She has not truly awakened yet. So pupie had no memory what so ever that day. But as pupie slept in her rms, she did give him immortality." she said as she turned and skipped away.
Disappearing from sight, Inuko looked on in disbelief as he looked down at himself.
"What am I?" he said.
The next day, Raven eyes slowly opened as his body leaned itself up. His hair pushed towards as it completely covered his face, his face still emotionless; his face slowly turned as his blank stare looked at Inuko sleeping. Gray aura began to emit from his body as a memory rushed into his mind.
"I hate you." "Leave me alone." "I wish I was emotionless." "Don't look at me." the mysterious voices cried out. "P..Pup..py..." words left Raven's mouth.
Suddenly the door flew open as Zennie quickly pounced on the sleeping Inuko.
"Pupie get up already!" she yelled.
As Zennie hit his stomach Inuko quickly awakened from the pain of impact.
"Ohhhh. Alright alright I am up lil one." he said as he grabbed hold of her.
Serios walked in slowly letting out a heavy sigh,
"Sigh...Zennie you really need to give people a heads up when you do that..." he said.
Serios then walked over to Raven as he placed his two front legs on the bed looking deeply into his eyes.
"Same as it was then before." he said.
Zennie turned to Serios as she began to grin.
"Hey Wolfie!" she said as he quickly pounced towards him.
Serios turned around as his eyes widened, Zennie flew closer and closer to him as she tackled him to the floor.
"Hahahaha again again Wolfie." she laughed.
Zennie jumped up and down on the dazed Serios as she giggled and laughed.
Rebecca walked in as Sennie was holding her hand.
"Zennie chan?" she asked.
Sennie released her hand as she walked over to Zennie and Serios. Zennie turned to Sennie as she climbed off of Serios,
"What's wrong Sennie chan?" she asked.
Sennie looked at Serios as he was still passed out cold. "Is wolfie sleeping?" she replied. Zennie looked at Serios as she clenched her fist and began to pull back her sleeve.
"One way to find out." she smiled.
Rebecca quickly ran to Zen and Sen as she grabbed both of their hands.
"W-Why don't we go pack?" she said.
The two girls eyes widened as they dashed towards their room dragging Rebecca behind them. Inuko got up and walked over to Serios patting him on the head.
"Are you okay?" he asked.
Serios slowly got up as he shook his body.
"Ah my head. Zen is stronger than she looks..." he sighed.
Serios cracked his neck as he looked over to Inuko. Inuko stood up and walked over to the balcony, he leaned out and gazed to the Tower of Isis.
"Serios, do you know if anything like what happened today has happened to the other Towers?" he asked.
Serios walked towards him and jumped unto the ledge by him, the wind gently flowed through their fur,
"Even I am unsure what has been happening in the world recently." he replied.
Suddenly, they quickly gazed to the Tower across the vast ocean as they witnessed blasts striking the Tower of Isis. The clash of swords rung across the world, screams of the dying cried out to the Terra. Rebecca burst into the room as her face grew pale,
"Serios! I-Its Zen and Sen!" she cried.
Serios burst from the room as he jumped wall to wall, dashing towards the girl's room. As he burst through the doors, his eyes widen as he saw Zen and Sen suspended in mid-air crying as they try to struggle in fear. Meanwhile, Raven's body slowly ascended into the air. Inuko stood as he watched the mysterious event unfold. Back in Sen and Zen's room, Serios' eyes widen as he saw light engulf his Watchers. Suddenly, songs of children of both man and creature filled the air. The young girls' toys began to dance around the two as balls of light surrounded them. A familiar voice invaded all the minds of the group, Raven's mouth began to move to the mysterious voice.
"Children of Terra...Guardian Wolves....I-It's time to fight against the darkness...Set wishes to destroy the world that you all love...RISE AGAINST THE DARKNESS! SAVE THE ONES THAT YOU ALL LOVE!!!"
As the voice faded, Raven's pendant began to act violently his hair twisted into the air, his nails grew longer and sharper. He rolled up into a ball, as lightning shot forth from his body. Inuko jumped on top of Rebecca, shielding her from him. Raven quickly stretched outwards as he screamed in great pain, the room exploded as smoke and fire rushed through the corridors of the Tower. Meanwhile, the toys danced faster and faster around the girls. Serios tensed up into an attack position just then the balls of light shot towards the young girls. Engulfing their bodies with intense light, Serios was blinded as it encased the Tower completely.
Raven's body began to react to the voices in his heart as they cried out to be free. He opened his mouth as streams of different colors poured forth from his body. Surrounding him fiercely like an untamed fire in the wind. Blue light shot forth from the others as it rushed out of destroyed room. Rushing through the burning corridors, passing through the walls as it suddenly rushed past Serios and struck the ball of light that engulfed the young girls. As the light faded, there two figures stood tall before Serios, their hair covered their breasts, as their light blue and green eyes shined in the light. The toys around them bowed before them, as the songs faded. Just as Serios opened his eyes, he gazed upon the beauty of the new forms of Zen and Sen. He slowly walked closer to them in wonder as Sen slowly bent down and hugged her Guardian. Zen pushed back her hair from her naked body as she kneeled down and kissed Serios.
Meanwhile back in the destroyed room, Inuko lifted up a large stone pillar and threw it off of them. Rebecca began to cough as she slowly stood up.
"W-What happened?!" she cried.
Inuko looked around as the ruined room, the walls were blown out as glass laid on the floor. The doors were missing, as flames slowly dimmed and faded away.
"RAVEN!?" he yelled.
Running to the bed where Raven laid, he was nowhere in sight. Rebecca struggled to get up as Inuko searched through the debris. Just then, Sen slowly walked into the room, her long white hair gently moved in the air as it covered her body. Rebecca's eyes widen and words struggle to leave her mouth.
"I-Is...that...Sennie?" she struggled to say.
Inuko turned to her as she slowly hugged him, her naked body pushed against Inuko's. Inuko stood frozen as she embraced him, she leaned up as she slowly opened her mouth as a mysterious song was the only thing Inuko heard. Inuko's eyes began to feel heavy as he fell to his knees, his anger and sadness faded as Sen continued to sing to him. Zen walked into the room as she walked to the destroyed balcony. Her hair lifted up as she slowly placed her hand on her chest.
"Sen? Zen? Is that you?" Rebecca asked.
Zen turned to Rebecca as she smiled,
"The voices of the children of this planet, calls out to us for help. We must answer them Rebecca." she replied.
Rebecca stood up as she walked over to Inuko as Sen slowly stood up and walked over to her sister. Rebecca embraced Inuko as tears filled his eyes,
"It's okay, Inu...We will find him." she spoke softly.
Meanwhile back in the twin's room, Serios laid on the floor as his paws twitched. His face was as red as fire, and his fur stood on its end. Seduced to a frozen statue by the warmth of Zen and Sen's lips.
